I found my dream wedding dress at Pomp and Pageantry after trying on around 20 dresses at other shops. Everyone that I interacted with there was positive, helpful, and encouraging. I am not a “fancy” person or comfortable in places like dress boutiques. They did not judge me based on my jeans, t-shirt, and Converse. I ended up purchasing my dress, veil, and shoes from them. Basic alterations were included (aside from bra cups) with the price of the dress, which saved a lot of money. She did a great job on the alterations too! Interestingly enough, I found the dress for my first wedding there too. I would recommend them to anyone.
Got my wedding dress here and had an amazing experience
The ladies were super helpful, caring, and incredibly compassionate with my dress and my dress fittings. It was definitely a long road but it was worth it. So happy they were able to work with my hectic schedule.
Great! Found the perfect dress, veil and belt and the fittings were super fast and easy and FREE when you purchase a dress from them.
The girls that work here are amazing! They helped me every step of the way. Everything was on time and there were no issues!
The people were so nice to work with and we found the perfect dress on the second try! The best part, it was well in my price range!
I had the BEST experience with Pomp!! My dress was stunning, and everything arrived ON TIME and the prices were perfect!!! You just cant beat the fact that alterations are INCLUDED!! I highly recommend this bridal boutique!
I definitely didn't have a great experience at pomp & pageantry. My consultant was not very helpful and I did not like how they didn't help get the dresses on and off. It is definitely very difficult getting them on by myself. They only brought me 3 dresses to try on and then I had to get dressed and look for myself because nobody was coming back to help me. The dresses seemed a lot smaller than other bridal stores and I could fit most sample dresses from other stores. I had went to Bella rose before I had went to pomp and pageantry, and liked a dress from there but they kept asking to know the dress so I can buy it from them instead. I just feel like it was very unprofessional.
I got a beautiful a-line (almost ballgown looking) wedding dress with lots of tulle from Pomp and Pageantry. It is absolutely beautiful and ended up being a little over $600. Everyone at the store was helpful and the free tailoring was awesome since it was free! I gave 4 stars for a few reasons. 1) they have limited fitting options after the first fitting that is scheduled months in advance. 2) I had concerns about the dress being too long initially but the lady said it was fine as long as I wasn't stepping on it which I wasn't in the store but I definitely stepped on it several times and my groom and guests did as well despite wearing heels all night and even when the bustle was up. 3) I had concerns about the bustle which would not stay together; after putting it back up 3 times within about 60-90 minutes I finally carried the train plus some everywhere I walked or danced. I'm not sure if it was the dress with all the tulle layers or the actual tailoring for the bustle but I would recommend anyone to try to dance or do a jig with the bustle up and see if it comes apart. There were 3 bustle locations so it definitely seemed like it should have worked.
I loved my wedding dress! I just hate to see the photos for basically the entire reception with my dress being pulled against my body, twisted, and held up with my arm. It probably won't look good but I danced like crazy and had a lot of fun so it turned out anyways!
Amazing selection and wonderful experience. Their prices are great and alterations are INCLUDED! I would definitely recommend this bridal salon.
I purchased my wedding dress from Pomp and Pageantry and was very pleased. However, now that our wedding is done I am left with much disappointment. Every time I was in Pomp and Pageantry I was told about their tux shop next door. Both the owner and the employees pushed for brides to use L’Arsenale Tuxes. Pomp and Pageantry owned L’Arsenale. Brides who purchased their dresses with Pomp and Pageantry received incomparable prices for tuxes through L’Arsenale. I began discussing our options with L’Arsenale about 14 months prior to our wedding. As we were instructed, we placed our order about 4 weeks prior to our wedding. We were planning on buying 6 tuxes from them. Chaffee, manager of L’Arsenale, and son of Pomp and Pageantry owner, was who I worked with throughout with whole process. Chaffee told me that we would have our tuxes 3 weeks prior to our wedding date. I heard that same story every other day for about two weeks. When it came to the week of our wedding, we called Chaffee every day, multiple times a day. Each time we spoke he ensured that we would have our tuxes, “they were getting the final pieces together” he would say. Friday night, the night before our wedding day, Chaffee swore he would have all the tuxes delivered to our house before midnight. That never happened. Saturday morning, our wedding day, our guys had nothing to wear. We called Chaffee and he said he didn’t have anything for us. He did however, tell us the name of another tux shop to call and claimed he would pay for our tuxes through them. We had paid Chaffee $677.34, August 18th, 2016 when we ordered our tuxes. We have yet to receive a refund. Thankfully our guys were able to receive matching tuxes in time, from Linh’s Bridal and Fashion. According to the owner of Linh’s Bridal and Fashion, Chaffee had put him into this same position many times. Calling him the morning of countless weddings needing him to pull groups of tuxes together. The owner of Linh’s cut us an amazing deal because of the situation, but we still had to pay him $780.30. Because of Chaffee we had to pay for two sets of tuxes. We paid for a rental set from Linh’s and a bought set from L’Arsenale that we NEVER received. Because of Chaffee, the men in our bridal party didn’t have tuxes to wear. Because of Chaffee, our wedding could have single handed been ruined. Because of Chaffee, we are out $1,457.64.
Thank you to Linh’s Bridal and Fashion for saving the day and our wedding. Without you who knows what the men in our bridal party would have had to wear to the wedding.
Now, nearly 6 weeks later we have yet to hear from Chaffee. We have called him countless times and have heard nothing back. We have visited L’Arsenale and the doors are locked. We have tried to speak with his mother, owner of Pomp and Pageantry and she refuses to take ownership of what her son has done to THEIR brides. If it weren’t for Pomp and Pageantry I would have never used L’Arsenale Tuxes. I believed Pomp and Pageantry was a great bridal shop, but it is very disappointing and disheartening that they won’t take ownership for their tux shop. Because L’Arsenale and Chaffee single handedly ruined peoples wedding days, Pomp and Pageantry needs to make it right for their brides. It is their business, their family, and their reputation. I hope their conscience will lead them to do what is right.
I did not have a good experience at Pomp & Pageantry. The salespeople were not attentive, I had to wait a long time for them to help me in and out of each dress. There was one other group in another dressing room, but sometimes neither salesperson was in the area, and sometimes both were in my dressing room. All of the sample dresses were in much smaller sizes than at other boutiques, and some of them were even difficult for me to fit into! I understand that a dress that you don't have to be clipped into looks better, but I am a very average size person, so I feel bad for anyone even slightly over average, because trying on a dress that's too small both looks and feels terrible! There was one dress I liked there, and they wanted to sell me the sample because it was brand new and "fit me like a glove," but it was actually obviously too small. I would not have trusted their alterations if they thought that dress fit me. Needless to say, I did not purchase a dress there.
I bought my dress in November. We bought it at their Black Friday sale so I purchased the dress for 50% off. When I was speaking with the owner I asked her about getting my dress altered. She told me that they typically do not do alterations on dresses that they sale 50% off but that if I came back closer to my wedding date to get alterations she would go ahead and do it (my dress was still almost $1,000 with 50%off). I went to the store to get my dress altered a couple of weeks ago. I was charged for some of the alterations because I wanted some stuff cut off of my dress that pomp and pageantry does not cover and was also charged for cups to be added to my dress. That was fine. I went to go pick the dress up and was told it would cost me another additional $95 that I didn't have. After explaining to some of the employees that I was told by the owner that she would still cover some of the alterations, that I already paid for the alterations when I took the dress, and that's not what I expected to pay, One of the employees disappeared for awhile to go in the back to talk with the owner. She told me that the owner would not budge and that I needed to pay the additional $95 on top of what I had already paid when I dropped the dress off. The owner would not come speak with me about the matter. My mother who was with me at the time I purchased the dress that can bare witness to what the owner originally told me called up there. The poor employees felt so bad and felt like she should give me a refund. After my mother was on hold for ten minutes they came back and said she wouldn't budge. She again would not get on the phone. If I had known up front how much it was going to cost I could have agreed to pay the amount for the alterations or have went somewhere else. The owner left me no choice to do so. SUCH BAD BUISNESS PRACTICE!! If you give a customer a price and they pay you stick to it and don't add on to the cost once the alterations are done! DO NOT GO HERE!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I will be contacting the better BUISNESS bureau about the incident!! I want a refund and do not feel I should have to pay extra when that was not what j was originally told it was going to cost!!
Really nice dresses
They were helpful in searching and ordering a specific dress. The fitting was a little rushed and there were many other brides trying on dresses so it felt a little crowded. However, I found my dress with no problem, great price, and great alterations. Overall a good experience.
My dress was everything I ever dreamed of. The ladies at the shop were wonderful to work with!
This shop had a great selection of dresses and has recently been remodeled so it's very nice inside. The service is nothing spectacular and they often rush you in and out of appointments. Also I had to have 4 fittings before they finally got my dress right and there was no weight loss/gain going to deal with so it was a little annoying.
This business offers "free alterations" with dress purchase. What they DON'T offer is a phone call to notify you when your order arrives. Nor do they actually allow you to alter the dress on your schedule. (In my case they are requiring I alter the dress nearly 3 months prior to the wedding date) And when you try to have the dress altered they charge you a $20 fee because Saturday is a "premium"! Funny, when I bought the dress on Saturday I wasn't told ANY of this! They have such a small selection of dresses, you are better served by looking elsewhere anyway!
I purchased my wedding gown at Pomp & Pageantry and I couldn't have been more please with the experience there. The consultant did an excellent job deciphering what I wanted. The alterations were included with the purchase of the dress and they did an awesome job. My dress fit like a glove!
This store had a good selection and the sales staff is great. However, I was unaware when purchasing the dress that the seamstress only worked certain days. I had to pay $20 on top of my alteration fee for the seamstress to come in. She was already working, which struck me as odd.
I was more than satisfied with this dress shop! The staff was friendly and easy to work with. I purchased my bridal dress as well as my bridal parties dresses from here and all the dresses came out perfect and the worked well with my 12 bridesmaids. I received so many compliments on how amazing the dresses looked. The only place I know of that offered free alterations... which was a big help!
My mom had the most problem with this company out of anyone. The doors to the dressing rooms do not shut all the way so while you were changing all it would take is someone walking by and the door would fly open. The store is extremely HOT!!! It's a small place and they have 1000 lights so it is very hot! I really liked that ALL alterations were free for me and the bridal party, even though two of my bridesmaids had to have the dress almost completely remade! It was all free, except to have my dress steamed. That was a BIG problem! We didn't want to have to pay $65 to have it steamed so we tried to do it ourselves. The dress was not ready until 30 mins AFTER picutres were supposed to start! It would have been nice for them to tell me I would have to pay to get it steamed, before the week of my wedding.
My consultant was over 30 min late and we were stuck looking on our own.. Not all dresses had process so it was frustrating having to constantly ask for the price.. one she got there everything was great.. Found my dress bought it had out altered and steamed and had noproblems.. Price was reasonable too
Wonderful people and great, free alterations!
This was the first place I tried on dresses. I was a bit overwhelmed by how many dresses there were but the assistant asked what I was looking for and she found my gown as the first one. They offer free alterations to full priced gowns which is a bonus. They hemmed the bottom and put on a french bustle which made mydress even more beautiful
So glad I found my dress here, everyone was wonderful! They do free alterations on all dresses and have a good selection.
Everyone I encountered was so helpful. I had a few bridesmaids that lived out of state, and they worked with us on it without hassle.
The staff at pomp and pageantry were so sweet and helpful. They made it feel so easy to order my dress. Alterations were a breeze, she really knows what she is doing. The owner Ann even referred me to a makeup consultation to get a wedding day makeup lesson!
Literally helped me with all things "dress" right up until we left for the wedding. Awesome workers.
Expertly advised! they helped me from the minute I picked my dress out to when I picked it up. alterations are free and they mean it. the dress I loved was in the largest size it came in. They took it down 10 sizes at NO charge! it looked beautiful! I would use them for any formal occasion!
I Love My Wedding Dress it was perfect. The service I recieved was very personalble during the picking out process.
The women at this shop were very nice, TO ME. However, it seems that several of my bridesmaids had not so nice things to say about heir encounters with the women at this shop. Also, they only steam on certain day, which is kind of an inconvenience.
They were so helpful in everyway. Cheerful and fun too!
Overall Pomp and Pageantry was a great place to get my dress from. Very helpful, good reasonable prices. I love that they do the standard alterations for free! My only complaint was that it is hectic because of the small size of the place and with how many people are in there at a time.
The experience was unbelievable. The ladies were extremely helpful and considerate. If you purchase your gown from here you will not go wrong. All of the alterations were free with my wedding gown purchase. That was extremely nice. They also give you some coupons to eat at a Mexican Restaurant for free next door. They give you plenty of information to help you continue in your wedding planning. The appointments for the fittings were amazing as well. Any suggestions you have to make the dress fit better they will do them. They want you to feel as amazing as possible. I felt completely pampered at this shop.
