Katy and Christine helped us through a wedding when the state set venue capacity limits, and they were FANTASTIC! Super organized, super responsive and they help us navigate a challenging time to plan a wedding. They help my wife with the design aspect and kept everyone organized on the day of the wedding. I recommend them to anyone planning a wedding big or small.
After changing up our wedding to a backyard wedding because of COVID19, my husband and I quickly realized we needed some help. We reached out to Poppy Events only a month or so before our September 5th wedding, and luckily Kiera, the day of planner, was available! We had two calls with Kiera where we walked through the day and the timeline that Kiera put together for us. From there, Kiera took care of all the communication with our vendors to make sure they were ready to go. This alone took off so much stress for us!
The day of the wedding, Kiera made sure to be at my parents for the first vendor to show up; she set up and teared down all of our personal items; and stayed til the last guest left. Before the wedding started, Kiera noticed we were a few chairs short was right on the solution!
If you are like many of us who had to switch up your wedding because of 2020, hire Kiera and Poppy Events ASAP; you will not regret it!
I don’t even know where to begin! Katy & Kiera were by far one of the best investments for our wedding day. They made everything so easy, even with the constant changes of the Covid pandemic. They are professional, so so kind, understanding, prompt, and dedicated to making you feel stress free on your wedding day. Don’t know what me and my fiancé would have done without them!! If you are on the fence for getting a wedding planner/ day of planner I highly suggest sitting down with them, you’ll be sold by the end. Thank you ladies!
Katy and Christine were absolutely amazing! If you are looking for a wedding planner these are without a doubt your girls!! Wedding planning can be so stressful. There are so many details and decisions but having Katy and Christine made everything so much easier. Katy helped us so much with the design of our wedding. She came with us to each vendor to help in making all the decisions. She understood what we liked, and she gave honest opinions on what would work and what wouldn’t. She drew everything out for us to help us visually see different layouts. Christine was so top of it with the timeline and contacting the vendors which was incredible. She was so organized and had every detail in order. The day of both of them made everything absolutely perfect. They made sure that everything was exactly how we wanted. They were so organized and truly allies for us! We just loved that none of our family or friends needed to check in on anything because we knew they had everything under control. They were just truly unbelievably kind and just an absolute joy to work with! They were the best decision we made about planning our wedding! If you are looking for the best wedding planners, then look no further than Poppy Events!
I worked with Katy for our September wedding - I cannot even put into words how fantastic she is. Not only is she the sweetest human ever, but she is extremely organized, professional, and experienced. She has so much insider knowledge & referred us to some incredible vendors. She gave us amazing insight, quickly responded to all of my emails and questions, and executed our vision flawlessly. Because of her, our wedding was completely stress-free and we were able to actually enjoy the day from start to finish. So thankful to have found Katy & Poppy Events <3
The only true regret I have regarding my wedding was not hiring Poppy Events earlier and getting the "full" package. Katy and Christine were our day of coordinators and also helped design our cocktail and reception rooms. Communication was easy and quick. Both are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was lucky to have both Katy and Christine at my wedding and everything ran smoothly. We forgot one tip envelop and when we found it the next day Poppy Events sent a few emails and it was delivered to the correct person at the hotel with clear instructions. Their attention to detail and professionalism allowed me to be fully relaxed and focused on my wedding day. There are many amazing planners in the Pittsburgh area and I am so thankful we went with Poppy Events.
Katy and Christine were wonderful to work with. They stepped in about a month prior to the wedding to help with the last minute details. They gave great advice to assist with finalizing the decor and made sure everything came together nicely.
I didn’t have to worry at all the day of the wedding because I knew they were handling the set up and all of the behind the scene jobs. They were professional, organized, and trustworthy. It was a pleasure working with them during this very special time.
Katy and Christine were amazing to work with and we could not be more thankful that they were our day of coordinators for our wedding. To be honest, initially I didn't really think that we needed a coordinator outside of the one that our venue provided (I love details and enjoyed the process of planning the wedding, our ceremony and reception were both at the same venue), but I was wrong! After just one phone call with Christine, my husband and I were sold. She was very organized, warm, and it was clear that her experience on the logistical execution of a wedding would be of value to us. We did a personalized package - "More than day of" including day of coordination, help with a few final vendors, and coordination of our guest shuttle. Having Katy and Christine was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. They prepared a well thought out timeline for the wedding day, coordinated with all of our vendors for set up and made sure our bridal party was in the loop, sewed on our ring bearers bow tie after he ripped it off before walking down the isle (they likely also fixed other mishaps that we never became aware of), and the day ran perfectly. There was never a moment that we stressed about the logistics of the day, we just soaked it all in. If you are getting married, do yourself a favor and book Poppy Events!
My husband and I both cannot express how thankful we are that we found Christine. 100% the best money we spent throughout our entire process. We went with their middle package, I believe it was called the Charming package? It included the day of, plus a little more help and answering my questions. Christine was so above and beyond helpful with everything, I still keep calling her Wonder Woman when I tell people about her. You will not regret this decision. And I can honestly say that I miss talking to Christine! ❤️❤️❤️
I can’t imagine not having Katy and Christine as my day-of coordinators for my wedding. I planned everything myself, but they made sure all of the vendors were on the same page as far as where to be/when, that my bridal party all knew the itinerary, and that everything in our venue was where it should be. The value of my peace of mind on wedding day was so worth it! If you’re looking for a recommendation - all you need is Poppy events. Total third party so they are only looking out for YOU - not on behalf of the venue or the florist or band or whoever. There were I's dotted and T's crossed that I didn't even know existed. To have things flow so smooth without having to watch the clock... every bride should have a day-of coordinator, and Poppy events does it right.
Words can't really express how absolutely fabulous Christine was helping to plan and coordinate our wedding! 5/5 stars doesn't do her justice. I'm a very meticulous person by nature, but there were so many little things that I didn't even think of which Christine not only thought of, but took care of in advance, behind the scenes, so that it all just felt like magic to me as the bride. My family and friends kept trying to prepare me before our wedding day for the "things that will not go as planned" and not to worry when that happens - but honestly, thanks to Christine, not a single thing went wrong. She was there from start to finish making our wedding day simply flawless. AND she did it all with a smile and calming presence. Brides - do yourself a giant favor and hire Christine. Seriously. It was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. Thank you again Christine!! You are the best!
Katy and Christine were absolutely amazing! They both went above and beyond...especially when the events coordinator at my venue couldn’t deliver. They both drove to meet me during rush hour traffic when I️ called last minute panicking. They always had great suggestions and accommodated my requests. They even helped sew the strap of a dress back on for one of the guests on the day of the wedding. My wedding day was absolutely perfect and everything went seamlessly. I️ can’t say enough good things about Katy and Christine! I️ am so glad I️ decided to work with them for the best day ever!
Christine and Katy were absolutely essential in our wedding planning process. The duo made sure no detail went unnoticed (timeline, rehearsal dinner set-up, giving me tissues before walking down the aisle…). In the end, it is the small details and personal touches that made our wedding so meaningful to us. We so appreciated their direction, guidance, creativity, and patience. They were vital leading up to the wedding and on the day of - making sure everything went smoothly and that we were happy. They worked with us months before, coordinating our timeline with vendors across Pittsburgh, making sure everything was planned to a T. At the last minute, we needed help with a few odds and ends, and no questions asked they stepped up to the plate to make sure our families enjoyed our big weekend. We wouldn't have been able to enjoy this day nearly as much as we did without Christine and Katy’s help. They are both calm, graceful, and hard-working, and I couldn't recommend Poppy Events more highly!!! We absolutely love them!
Katy and Christine were complete rockstars on the day of our wedding (4/29/2017). We had a ton of moving pieces on our special day - multiple locations, a bunch of vendors, and over 200 guests ranging in age from 3 weeks old to 80. These two made sure that all "issues" remained small and were taken care of immediately. Our guests had no idea what was going on behind the scenes! They were incredibly supportive to my fiancé and me who know nothing about hosting big events and were planning from afar! No question went unanswered, and we asked a lot of them. Their vendor recommendations were spot on too! Lastly, they just are lovely and amazing people who I would work with again any time. Thank you Katy and Chris!
