Heather & Cole are the Ace team! Communication was very fluid and they went above and beyond for us. In my dreams I could not have envisioned anything more beautiful than the venue space they created for us. It was a smoothe sailing ship from start of the day to the very end and we are so thankful our paths crossed. Also, one word, FLORALS- they were heavenly!

We cannot say enough great things about Heather and Port City Event Planners. We were challenged with planning a wedding in a short amount of time, Heather not only came through, she knocked it out of the park for us. Every detail was handled and executed by Heather and her team flawlessly. She takes a very hands on approach to planning and designing a wedding, the communication was awesome and my wife and I never felt stressed about everything being handled.
Another great thing about Port City and Heather is that not only do they plan the wedding, they also provide the flowers which helps Heather execute her vision perfectly.
If you are planning a wedding or any large event, we highly recommend Heather and Port City Event Planners; there truly cannot be a better option. Use her, you will not be disappointed.

Heather was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process! From the earliest stages of planning right up through wedding day, she was a joy to work with, positive, punctual, helpful, and two step ahead. My wife and I had heard plenty of stories about how difficult/stressful planning a wedding could be...but that wasn't our experience. Heather made every step of the journey pleasant, memorable, and even enjoyable! I highly recommend Port City Event Planners for whatever the occasion. Heather goes to great lengths to please her client. She had a good eye for the total look I wanted and great suggestions to enhance my events! I appreciated her energy and attention to details. She is dependable and thorough making my daughter's wedding and my son's rehearsal dinner both magical and two of my favorite memories.

Sweet. Organized. Great with Communication. Assertive. Creative. Passionate. I could keep going... Heather rescued me from myself with about a month until the wedding. I had convinced myself I didnt need a planner. Well, if youre reading this...you need one, and if she's available on your date...you need a Heather. This girl is a mighty little southern charm that can command a room and make your dream-day (appear) seamless. Heather was part time therapist, while wrangling our vendors, organizing chaos and executing our "Rain Plan." She has flexible packages available, and a whole bunch of really neat decorations and common necessities available to rent (in our case sparklers, flower girl basket...Last minute card box. That sort of thing). Our day was magical, and we couldnt have do it without Port City Event Planners. We <3 you Heather!

For the overall quality of service I received I'm rather disappointed considering how much I spent. The main reason I hired a coordinator was so that come the day of I would be stress free and my guests could enjoy themselves. Unfortunately, despite the fact that I created ALL the decorations myself and she only had to setup everything and do the flowers, I expected better. After several chats and discussions both on the phone, via email, and in person (which cost $100 per trip even for the wedding!) things still did not run smoothly. I think that if she was not doing several weddings at one time and had brought enough help (two was agreed upon but she showed up with 1) then things probably would've functioned better and a lot of elements would have gone smoother or would not have been forgotten.
I think my main issue was that the people I wanted to enjoy themselves were doing most of the running around which was not their job and they were not being paid for it unlike her.

First of all this wedding was a full on DIY wedding where despite the advice that was given in advance about logistical issues that I saw being a problem the day of. This wedding was at a rented beach house where she choose to have a family mem...
ber do the food. With rented staff from a outside staffing agency to act as servers. My team which was myself and 1 other team member ( all that was contracted or charged for) not only did all of the normal duties that should normally happened, but we stepped in and bused tables and did the job outside of the scope of what we should. We brought down food from the 3rd floor of the house because they could not get it down quick enough, we jumped in behind the bar etc...
As for the elements of decorations that were an issue again, logistical things that we addressed with her. This house that was rented was on the beach with all activities outside. The decorations that were provided were paper, which we told her would be a huge issue with the wind. We battled pinning down decorative items, linens, etc.. that the bride provided the entire day. She did have her bridesmaid come out and help with handing a paper garland from her arbor because it was a mess of a situation with the wind.
We did advice her early on in our conversations about the logistics and need for a caterer with their own team and staff as well as to take the location and elements into consideration when planning decor. I think many of the things that did not go smoothly about the day could have been easy eliminated with better advance planning. We were hired to do day of coordination, and unfortunately at that time there was nothing that could be done to change what we had to work with.

Heather at PC Event Planners worked with me from the beginning! She has great vision and a very calming personality! She handled the flowers for my wedding, including the boutonnieres, the bouquets and the wrist corsages. They all turned out amazing! My bouquet was identical to the picture I showed her and exactly what I asked for! It looks amazing in my photos! I had also asked her to incorporate starfish into the boutonnieres which turned out to be a little more difficult then we thought but she worked very hard to find something I liked and they turned out awesome! I was so happy to work with her for my wedding! She has great vision and an awesome personality! You can't go wrong using them!

Heather acted as both our wedding planner and florist. She worked with me to design a simple but elegant wedding. She did multiple flower arrangements so each arrangement was only repeated twice. She was there to provide advice on everything from other vendors to gifts. It all went so smoothly as she coordinated our flowers, rentals, beverages, food, everything! You really don't need a wedding planner- but I can tell you if you want to enjoy your wedding and not have to worry about anything- then you should make the investment for not only your sanity but your mother's and whoever else will be helping you. Event planners know where the best quality and best deals are and know how to negotiate for them. I highly reccommend Port City Event Planners!
