So, I was originally supposed to have my wedding at PCI on Saturday, September 28, however, Hurricane Helene had different plans!! Due to the devastation of the hurricane, PCI could no longer host my wedding. HOWEVER, the PCI teamed up with their sister property of the Double Tree Orlando at Sea World and together, over the course of 24 HOURS, they were able to work together cohesively to bring my wedding to life without any added stress!! They truly went above and beyond on both ends to ensure I had the most beautiful, amazing wedding and they truly succeeded!! The PCI team is just an elite group of individuals that truly work with you and ensure every detail is met and your wedding day goes off without a hitch & they delivered on that plus some! I will forever be grateful to the PCI team and all they accomplished in those 24 hours to make our dream come true! My husband and I will forever be grateful to their dedication to their clients!!
Venue did not meet our expectations. The night before the big day we had found out through locals and other staff members that the hotel was going to be hosting a big day party with a DJ on the day of our wedding. The contacts that we have worked with up until that point were not there the day prior or day of to deal with our concerns. We ended up bringing it indoors and when we raised our frustration about to the sales coordinator after the day, they said they mentioned to us there would be a day of activation that included live music. We felt very mislead since live music with a guy on an acoustic is EXTREMELY different to a DJ. On top of that we had our cocktail hour in the tikihut next to the cabana bar. They mentioned to us that they have a partition and that the bar closes all its windows and none of that was done day of. All the bar guests were watching our cocktail party which was extremely awkward. All in all, the customer service is extremely poor and if you are the bride and groom at this place you feel like an inconvenience to the hotel by having your wedding there.
After researching several St. Pete Beach venues for our daughter’s destination wedding, Postcard Inn offered everything we were looking for – a wedding ceremony on the beach, a catered reception, and accommodations for our guests. When I first started communicating with Merzedes Suarez, the Catering Sales Manager, I knew Postcard Inn was where we wanted to have the wedding. Working with Merzedes and Sales Coordinator Indya Kristensen to coordinate the ceremony, reception, and guests’ reservations was convenient and simplified by these amazing ladies. They go above and beyond in meeting requests and answering emails promptly! Merzedes and Indya worked diligently to make everything perfect for the bride and groom, the wedding party, and the friends and family who traveled from Colorado and Florida to celebrate the special occasion! As the MOB, planning a destination wedding from Colorado, my daughter and I could relax and enjoy every moment of their special day. The Bridal Suite was wonderful for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready. It is very spacious and accommodating for the hair and makeup artists to do their magic. The entire PCI staff, from guest services to the servers, bartenders, and chief, was outstanding! The food we chose for the reception was delicious! Our guests were very complimentary of the food selections, presentation, and service. Thank you, PCI, for making the bride and groom’s destination wedding fabulous and memorable! It couldn’t have been more perfect!
We got married here in April and it was wonderful! We chose the beach for our ceremony and they also have a garden option. They have several choices for the reception as well that are all very nice and we chose the tiki pavilion. They have many food and beverage packages to pick from and the banquet staff is amazing, especially Merzedes who truly went above and beyond to ensure our special day was nothing less than perfect. Our guests enjoyed the food and everything went as planned. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend!
Choosing Postcard Inn on the Beach as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made. My family was skeptical when we picked Postcard Inn on the Beach - it was so far from the formal ballroom setting that they had envisioned for us. But from the first time we spoke with Postcard Inn, we knew this was where we wanted to get married.
I am especially grateful for Postcard Inn's Catering Sales Manager, Merzedes Suarez. Merzedes will make all of your wedding dreams come true! Merzedes will go above and beyond for you. She literally walked over to the neighboring building and relocated two of their trashcans so they wouldn't be in our line of sight during the ceremony. That is a level of care and detail that is totally unmatched.
I'm also grateful to their Sales Coordinator, Indya Kristensen. Indya worked so hard to make everything look so perfect! Thanks to her efforts, we were able to relax and enjoy every moment of our special day without a worry in the world.
Some additional highlights:
-Every single person who works at Postcard Inn is so warm and helpful - from the front desk staff (shoutout to Aaron who gave us much needed tissues before our first look) to their bartenders and waiters. Everyone is truly kind and cool.
-The food is AMAZING. Their chef is so talented. I wish I could eat our wedding buffet every night for the rest of my life.
-Security did a great job and the bar was quiet throughout the entire ceremony which we were so grateful for.
-The bridal getting ready room was so spacious and comfortable! The "garage" game space we used for the groom getting ready room was super fun and cool. Guys don't really have to get ready so it was nice that they could hang out and play games together.
-Merzedes and Indya left such a sweet welcome gift in our room! It was such a nice touch and we're going to cheers and cherish our PCI wine glasses forever!!
Postcard Inn is not your stuffy ballroom wedding, and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way! Thank you again to everyone at Postcard Inn. We had the greatest day of our lives and we look forward to seeing you all again on anniversary trips!!! :)
I will say we got married here May of 2021, so things may have changed, but my wedding still haunts me. It was awful, and so embarrassing. To keep things short, I will list things that went wrong.
1. They set up the tables late, leaving us little time to decorate
2. Bartender was eating our apps, like taking the last crab cakes before my husband and I were able to get any.
3. No employee there if you needed anything.
4. Had to use napkins for cake cutting because they didn't provide plates with the dessert table we ordered and again, nobody there to help get us plates.
5. Made a detailed list of what table got which kids food and still wrong food came out
6. Some people at my head table didn't get food. Again people dropped off food and were out so nobody there to help make sure everyone got food
7. People at the outdoor bar right next to our tiki venue had people collapsing.
8. Couldn't relax the next day because every Sunday there is an event open to everyone outside hotel guests and everywhere outside my room was crowded. Had to go down the street to a hotel my friend was staying at to enjoy quiet time. After planning a wedding you just want to relax by the pool.
With that being said the food was amazing. I hope the chef has moved on because they are talented and deserve more. Things would have been so much better if they just had one person assigned to each event. Most our issues could have been solved if there was a PCI event employee within reach. But there wasn't and now thinking back to my wedding I cringe and just feel embarrassed all over again.
Definitely wouldn't recommend.
From the time I booked to the moment I got married my point of contact changed 7 times. SEVEN. Every time I emailed it was "I am no longer with PCI" wtf? Communication was one sided between me, my husband & wedding planner with PCI. I think my wedding planner emailed & called them over 10x asking about the TV's in the tiki hut with no response.
For the room block they were trying to give us room block "discount" prices that were MORE EXPENSIVE than what the prices were to book online. They were also telling my guests that there was no wedding under our name & they have no idea what they were talking about. Now I am pretty chill & reasonable person, but at this point, I was going to demand what I wanted & take nothing less. I demanded that my guests choose whatever they room they wanted for a discounted price that we agreed on & my husband and I receive a significant discount on our room if not free. We finally came to terms and when I asked about our room price they just kept saying "I got you. Do not worry." I did receive a receipt for our room and for payment it said "Manager's guarantee"
During check in we are told the room is NOT comped like they promised. After about 15 minutes a person I have never spoken to is in charge of our account. Her name is Caroline & I told her she is the 7th person to be in charge of us and explained our situation to her. After several HOURS and back and forth between us and her and the big men upstairs we finally are able to get checked in, but no guarantee our stay is free. The next day she finally was able to get it all comped. Thank you Caroline!
The rest of our stay was pretty unremarkable outside of the dingy room they put us in, which is supposedly the "nice room". Even with the window completely open I was using a flash light. We had ants in our room and our bathroom flooded with each shower we took. Also the lady at the front desk was ok, but lacked customer service and I hated going to talk to her because everything was always a fight with a tinge of attitude. In a way I feel bad for her, because she works at this dumb hotel.
Everything was fine otherwise until we were celebrating our wedding and during the middle of reception, some random man comes up to me, the bride, and tells me he is shutting down the bar because we did not pay for it. I told him yes we did through tears in my eyes, I could not believe this was happening. My husband got into a screaming match with this man and Caroline came down to ask what was going on. I am so sorry you had to deal with that Caroline, but this is ridiculous. You do not approach the couple during the middle of our wedding to dispute charges that have been handled. The situation was that we did not pay the bar for the entire night. What happened was that we told Franck several times what we wanted food and beverage wise and he ignored our emails and barely threw together a final invoice for us. Not my fault he missed the part where I said replace the cash bar with open bar. The next day they try to do some stinky apology by placing a fruit and cheese tray with wine in our room the following day. The irony of the situation is we had a do not disturb sign on our door that they just blatantly ignored. Just like the rest of our requests and attempts at communication.
Do not book your wedding here. I had no stress with everything else, but postcard inn made me almost lose my mind. It is not worth the fight or the money. Go to the beachcomber instead. Trust me.
This venue was beyond perfect. My husband and I loved the beachy vibes, and everyone loved their stay at this hotel! The food was amazing, the reception space was awesome, and the whole staff made sure that we were well taken care of. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect. We can't wait to be able to visit this hotel on our anniversary in the coming years ! Thank you Postcard inn!
We had our wedding reception at the Postcard Inn on 2/28/22. It was an amazing time and more than we could have asked for. The staff was incredible, gracious and had everything arranged exactly how we discussed. The food was delicious and the guests raved about it. The bartender was super helpful, kind, and was quick making drinks. We held our reception in the garden area and the layout made you completely forget your actual location. Hotel guests were respectful and never lingered or disturbed the party. At the end of the night, the staff even helped search for my daughter’s lost baby doll. I could not have asked for a better experience at the Postcard Inn and would highly recommend them!
When picking out venue I knew from the beginning The Post card Inn was my DREAM venue. Having been to several weddings at this location I already knew the location was stunning! What I did not know was how professional, accomadating, and generous the staff could be. Justyna, Haley, and the kitchen staff ALL went above and beyond. Which resulted in my wedding day being better than I could have imagined. I am truly grateful. I am so glad we decided on this venue it could not have been more perfect! Thank you from the Kempers, we will never forget how magical you all made our special day!
Side note: The food was DELICIOUS, thanks Chef!
I almost have no words. Our reception was absolutely the most beautiful, perfect event we’ve ever experienced. It was everything I could have imagined. We had it under the tiki pavilion near the beach (so gorgeous!). A lot of our guests told us they’ve been to tons of weddings and ours was by far the best they’ve been to. The staff literally treated us like royalty and always made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. Everyone was also so friendly. And to Justyna, our planner/catering manager... you were amazing! So sweet and caring and made sure everything went our way. And the food was also great! We had the Love Story menu and our guests enjoyed it. Thank you everyone at the Postcard Inn for making this day be absolutely perfect!! I’ll also add that I’m hard to please, so if you want the perfect reception venue, look no further!! Ask for Justyna :)
I absolutely fell in love with the venue upon first touring it! The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, and such great people to have help you make your day special! The prices are reasonable compared to other places but I think you get so much more because you feel like family.
Planning a wedding is THE MOST stressful thing to do, but I honestly can say that JUSTYNA & her staff were absolutely AMAZING!!! This entire experience was far from stressful, Justyna took her time, she stays in contact ALL DAY EVERY DAY, she is there for you , she answers all of your questions and she is the best person to talk to when you need a friend. The post card inn took care of all my needs, they were so friendly and most accommodating! The day before our wedding, it was RAIN and thunderstorms, the day OF the wedding it was still raining and still wet, starting off having an outdoor wedding, we were moved inside the ballroom, and it was BEAUTIFUL! The staff insured me everything was going to be perfect and it was! I’m so pleased with the outcome, my guest had such a great time! Thank you Justyna and thank you to all the staff that made our day so special!
-PCI BRIDE
We absolutely loved working with the Postcard Inn (PCI) for our wedding. Aside from the gorgeous location on St. Pete beach, the venue provided many different options for ceremony and reception locations. We opted to book all of our wedding events here (a Welcome Reception at the Tiki Pavillion, Ceremony on the beach, Reception in the garden courtyard and Sunday Sendoff brunch in the garage) and our hotel room block. Our guests loved everything, and the staff were so friendly, helpful and kind to everyone. Working with Briana Browning was a breeze. She helped us work through our timeline and really made sure we left no stone unturned planning our wedding. Day of she made everything flawless and stress free - we love Briana!!
We loved the fact that the PCI had a number of set food & beverage options for us to choose with the option of customizing as we pleased. For our wedding reception our favorites included the whole roast pig and the taco station - everyone said the food was delicious! All of the catering staff were super helpful and responsive to any guest’s questions and they made sure that our food stations were properly stocked with beautifully presented food. Our bartender Holly, who worked all our events, was fabulous at making us drinks.
If you are looking for a laid back venue with a gorgeous beach front location and great staff, PCI is the best!!
Our elopement on the beach at the PCI by far exceeded our expectations! All of the staff went above and beyond to make our day so special. We started planning only 3 weeks in advance yet the hotel catering manager, Briana still managed to get THE BEST vendors (I feel so lucky). The elopement package included the wedding officiant, photographer, flowers, room for the night, and bamboo arc/ceremony set up. We literally got award winning vendors and I didn't have to do any research! I was worried that I would need a day of, but Briana helped me with everything I needed including starting and stopping our ceremony music and keeping my 2 yo occupied during the ceremony (she was a saint)! I asked if we could have a first dance and dinner in the courtyard (instead of dinner in their restaurant) and Briana set it all up at no extra cost! The new chef put together our dinner, we told Briana we liked fish and stake, and it was BEYOND amazing!!! Sushi and crab as an app and a surf and turf for entree. We had 2 servers waiting on us all night and had exceptional service! The hotel also supplied a speaker that was at our ceremony and next to our dinner table in the courtyard so we were also able to dance to romantic music all night under the trees. Our room was pool side and so nice! Thank you so much PCI!
Overall we had an amazing experience! There were some minor communication issues which is why I did not give 5 stars. They had just sold and were going through a reorganization. The food was perfect! We did the buffet stations. Postcard inn did an excellent job with set up of everything and the event planner we had in the end was absolutely wonderful! So glad we chose this as our ceremony and reception venue.
My husband and I got married here on March 23rd, and we had the most beautiful wedding. The food was fantastic. We had our ceremony on the beach and our reception in the tiki pavilion. Everything was set up accordingly, and the service was great. The newly renovated rooms are wonderful, beds are super comfortable and the tiki bar on the beach has amazing food. We had a great stay here and our wedding was absolutely perfect, their recommended vendor list was great, we ended up hiring 3 vendors they recommended and they were all fantastic! Honestly I don’t have anything to complain about, everything went off without a hitch and we had the best time ever. If you’re laid back and are looking for something “easy breezy” this is the place for you. If you’re more interested in a “grand plaza” wedding and something more traditional, you will probably not want to book here. But we had an amazing time, and even though I planned everything from Illinois, everything went perfectly!
I want to start by saying the venue is beautiful and the food was great! It ended up raining but we still had a lot of fun with our guests. That being said, we still had a few issues.
When trying to coordinate room blocks, they originally were going to charge their standard price (not a discounted rate) and it wasn't noticed until one of our guests figured it out when trying to book their room.
You are required to do your own setup/cleanup. The set up wasn't able to be done until 2.5 hours before the ceremony, so I wasn't able to help and had to have family friends do it. This isn't convenient for them on vacation and was also cutting it kind of close if they needed to get ready. The cleanup also has to be done right after the reception. It is not fun cleaning when you're in a wedding gown!
The get-ready room (which is available at an extra charge) was available 9am-11pm. It was great to be able to get in early, but that meant that after our reception ended at 10, you had to hurry and clean up the reception and then shuffle the bridal party to the get-ready room to clean up ASAP. It would've been nice to have it until the next morning so we didn't have to rush around after our wedding.
The coordinator also left right after the dinner service, so she wasn't there to help with the setup/cleanup, or just to make sure the vendors were following the timeline efficiently.
It rained on our wedding day and the ceremony area was full of puddles. Two of our guests ended up mopping and throwing towels down where myself and my groom would be standing. This is something the venue should have been taking care of throughout the day, if not just before the ceremony.
There is a 23% service charge for the venue and I feel like a lot of this should have been taken care of and not left up to the bride and groom. Hopefully they take some of these issues into consideration for other weddings.
We picked the postcard inn for our wedding because it was on the beach and had laid back feel for all of our guests. The wedding day went very smooth and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
I have very mixed reviews. The biggest thing that made me rank them so low was that their ballroom is on the 2nd floor and they do not have elevators so it is not accessible for people in wheelchairs or the elderly. When I asked about this when looking at the venue, they promised that an elevator was being installed and would be there by the time of my wedding. They even put it in the contract. However, after I went with them the owner decided to sell the hotel and didn't care about installing the elevator anymore. So I had to change from the ballroom to the garden area which was very stressful for me. I also suspect they knew for some time they were selling the hotel and didn't tell me for quite awhile. The 2nd negative was the food. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good. It was "meh." We got the steak and mahi mahi. There were many positives also though. The venue has a great vibe, fun, casual, but beautiful. The event planners tried very hard to do the best they could for my wedding. The beach and garden area were so beautiful. The chairs for the tables were nice. I got to use their lanterns for free for my centerpieces. The whole hotel is super cute with this great vintage vibe. I thought the price was very reasonable. Ultimately we had a really great time!
Finding the venue was one of the more difficult tasks in planning our wedding. However, as soon as I saw The Postcard Inn I fell in love! It's such a unique place, very laid back, art everywhere, ping pong tables throughout the garden, and a beautiful tiki area overlooking the beach. We chose to get married on the beach and have the reception under the tiki pavilion. I thought it was so fun that guests from the hotel sat and watched from the tiki bar, they all cheered afterwords. They weren't allowed into any part of the wedding though, and security made sure of that, and even the way they set the chairs for the ceremony allowed for a scenic backdrop avoiding people in their swimsuits from being behind us. We used a vendor called Expert Productions for the DJ, Photography, and Wedding Coordinating services, and they did a great job working with the people at PCI to make sure everything went perfect! Erin was our coordinator at PCI and she did a great job communicating with us. We had blocked out rooms for our guests and communication for them wasn't awesome, but Sohnee made sure the grandparents had ground floors and whatnot and we had no problems when people started checking in. We chose to have buffet stations and an open bar for the reception, the food was amazing and the bartenders were very friendly and made awesome drinks! This was the perfect place for our wedding, i wouldn't change any part of it!
Everything went better than expected! I'm from SD so I planned everything via email/phone and everything turned out perfect! They were so helpful and easy to get a hold of. My ceremony was on the beach and it was beautiful, we didn't have any issues with beach goers getting in the way. The food! The food was amazing, everyone loved it! Just want to thank the Postcard for Everything! My wedding day turned out exactly as I imagined!
I always knew I wanted to get married in St. Pete on the beach, but we were having a lot of trouble finding the perfect venue. We randomly decided to check out the Postcard Inn and I instantly fell in love. It's an adorable, retro-surfer inspired hotel that offers various ceremony and reception spaces. The Postcard Inn is budget-friendly compared to the other hotels on the strip and they really do what they can to make you happy. Sohnne helped us with making a room block; it was a really simple process. The do charge a fee to have welcome bags delivered, so we opted to just pass them out during the welcome party a few days before. We had our ceremony on their beach and our reception in the garden courtyard. Everything turned out so beautifully and Cara was a huge help to us. She took care of us throughout the entire day, even leaving food for us in our room after the reception ended (it's true what they say - you don't get to eat on your wedding day!) If you're looking for a unique place to get married, definitely check out the Postcard Inn!
This is a great place for any type of wedding: large, small, posh or casual. There are many different reception options on the property, a cool beachside local dive bar, and a nice retro chic feel. It's not overly pretentious or bitterly slack - there is a nice balance of glam and beachside chill. We chose a beach wedding at sunset and small plates dinner at the tiki hut after. The photos are SPECTACULAR due to the amazing sunset and cool vibe at the property. The beef tenderloin and carribean chicken dinners were both delicious. The service was good if but a tad slow. My hubby was told that the hotel had more than the usual 3 max weddings on our day due to the hurricane slamming east Florida and folks needing last minute requests. But we didn't notice at all really except in hindsight. Emily did a great job. For us. Thanks PCI!!
The venue was really nice unfortunately the service, organization and communication among staff was laking. Our planning process was long because we wanted it to be set way in advance, which came to be a huge mistake because very lengthy email response times. The reason we picked The Postcard Inn was because of the fun atmosphere and the beautiful Garden courtyard was exactly what we wanted. We did not end up having our wedding in the Garden because there was a possiblilty of bad weather so that was sad, especially seeing the night ended up being gorgeous (Thanks, Mother Nature!) The food at the wedding was nothing like it was at the tasting. In general our guests were not happy with the food throughout the property…Though, the Bloody Mary's and our Bartender at the Boathouse were awesome. At the end, our wedding at the Postcard Inn felt like a business transaction, nobody even checked in to see how we enjoyed everything the day after. The Postcard Inn is a wedding machine and thats exactly what it felt like.
Emily and her staff treated us like royalty. They were very patient with us, as we often repeated questions or made difficult requests. If our guests needed something, we simply asked, and everything was quickly taken care of. They went out of their way to make our day perfect.
The post card inn was beyond what I could have ever imagined. The venue was absolutely perfect for all of our out of town guests, and the scenery right on the water was beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful in seeing what I envisioned and making it all come to life. Cara Tomlinson was our catering manager and she was amazing. All the emails I had sent to for months leading up to the wedding payed off, and she never blew off any question off or didn't respond. She was tremendous on the wedding day, keeping everything on time, and everyone in line. Couldn't have better things to say about the Cara. We did have quite a few booking problems on the room block, but Cara was always trying to resolve them and even giving out her desk number to book guests herself. The food was was ok, I wish it was a little better, but overall I was so happy with postcard inn I would still do it all over again.
This was literally the worst hotel experience that I have ever had! The staff were so rude and unhelpful. The rooms were hot, with no way of adjusting the A/C, paper thin walls...which does not make for a romantic evening, grounds were littered with construction, and the list goes on. The housekeeping staff were almost as terrible as the front desk/customer service. If there is any way that a hotel can ruin a vacation experience and cause undue stress, Post Card Inn will rise to the occasion. With so many beautiful places to stay in St. Pete Beach, do NOT repeat our mistake by staying here!
I first heard about Postcard Inn on Pinterest looking for beach venues in Florida. My now husband & I live 50 miles north of St Pete often would hang out at the beach bar or stay a couple of nights for mini vacations here & there. I loved the courtyard with the lanterns in the trees & the lobby smelling of coconut. So when it came down to planning our wedding I wanted PCI hands down. Chelsea was our sales person, Cayla was our coordinator & Sohnne was our rep for rooms. Chelsea was great about getting me things not on their regular banquet menu that I really wanted (Mojitos & Pierogis) for our reception and she responded to all my questions & emails promptly. Being in the event industry I probably asked more random questions than a usual bride would ask. Cayla was amazing! We did our tasting with her and she went through all the details to make sure we had thought of everything we wanted. She even came in on her usual day off to accommodate my crazy schedule for a final walk thru with me & my coordinator the week of the wedding. She kept me informed of the weather and the back up weather plan and accommodated any last minute requests and tweaks. Her & the day of team were great! The only real problem we had was our room block. Everyone had terrible issues trying to book their rooms at the hotel not being able to book thru the site & then calling the hotel & then being told that someone had to call them back because they couldnt find the block. It took one groomsman a full week to get a room confirmed! Sohnne replied to me ASAP on all issues & apologized profusely its just a shame that she doesn't have support to carry out the room block requests from reservations department. Reservations was seriously the only issue we had in the whole thing but it was a big inconvenience over the course of planning. It wasn't Sohnne's fault because she followed up with me on every single thing it was just the people that had to carry out the process. Also, my mom requested a specific room in the garden on the 1st floor that she verified 3 times that was given away and they threw her on the 2nd floor with my elderly aunt that cant go up the stairs. I threw a fit at the front desk which they finally got her a first floor room but it was stressful. Its a shame about the room block stuff because the wedding itself was beautiful & everyone really loved the food especially the risotto and the pierogis. Overall it was a good experience & thankfully the weather was lovely! All our guests enjoyed the wedding immensely & loved being on the beach. I also want to give props to our bartender Mel at the beach bar because that woman remembered every single one of this huge group of people's names & what they drank for the entire weekend! She and the rest of the staff at that beach bar had their hands full with this drinking crowd & they were just fantastic!
We had our wedding in September and it was such a fun and fabulous venue. So many people commented on how much they loved PCI and the atmosphere it provided. It's also a great destination for any out of town guests. We worked with Cayla who coordinated all details and she was really great to work with. We were planning our wedding from another state which can make things more difficult and she could always be reached via phone or email. She responded promptly, answering all of our questions and on the day of, every detail had been taken care of. Our day of catering manager was Mark who also did a fantastic job. The food was delicious. We had such a great experience as did our guests. Our only gripe would be the front desk/reservations staff. 5 or more of my guests were either turned away from our room block or told wrong information. I was able to quickly get that fixed by Sohnne at PCI but it was still frustraing that I had to intervene. Also, several guests did not get our Welcome Bags that we had at the front desk which was dissapointing. Over all, we would highly recommend the Postcard Inn for any event!
I had a room block at PCI. I have to shorten the review because of limited space. Here are some of the issues: I reserved 20 rooms for the block. If you are part of the room block you are only required to stay the night of the wedding. When my guests called they were being turned away saying that there was a 3 night min or they couldn’t find my room block. You are required to book 80% of the block or pay for the rooms, so naturally I was upset. I talked to Sohnne who took 4 rooms off the block. I wanted to give welcome bags to my guests. The Postcard Inn will keep them at the front counter but charge $1 per bag to give them out. I asked for the room block list so that I can leave enough bags at the counter. The list was missing guests. They say they charge $50/night but they charge $100/night. All of the a/c runs off 1 unit per building so although it has a thermostat it is one set temperature. . Our first night visiting the beach bar 6-8 huge cockroaches started running across the bar. Naturally when one ran across my friends hand she screamed. Then one ran across her foot and she screamed. Now I understand it is an outside bar and some things can’t be controlled, but here was the bartenders response, “This bitch is annoying. Screaming like that for attention.” Then she yelled, “If you don’t like it, you can leave.” Housekeeping did not come by at all on Saturday which was my wedding day. The floors were dirty and I had no clean towels. I was worried about bumping into the groom or I would have went to the front desk myself. I called but no one answered the phone at the front desk. There was a wedding going on in the garden area so no one could walk through the courtyard. Problem was it raining and the parking lot was full of puddles. My mom asked them to sweep the puddles so myself and my maids could get through the parking lot. She was told, “I’ll see what I could do.” Which translated to, “We won’t be lifting a finger.” My wedding shoes were muddy and my girls dresses were soaked because they were trying to hold up my dress and couldn’t hold theirs too. On Saturday after my wedding, we headed back to the beach bar to have a few drinks. There were strawberries and champagne in my room from the hotel which I thought was a nice personal touch. I attempted to order a drink at which time the bartender did not make eye contact with me. She yelled, “ I already called last call. It’s not my problem that you all are too drunk to understand what I said. Last call!” Now I hadn’t had a drink yet because I didn’t want to drink at my wedding. She was beyond rude. We checked out on Sunday. Now for the icing on the cake! PCI charged $2000 for my 3 night stay. They charged another guests room to my account which was not authorized and when I called I was told there is nothing they can do. I was on my honeymoon with $200 in my checking account and no access to my savings. After many phone calls, being hung up on, put on hold, etc, they did not put my money back until Saturday (the day before my honeymoon was over.) Thank goodness our trip was all inclusive but we did miss out on excursion.s I would definitely not recommend this hotel. What a nightmare!
I had my wedding here in August and I have to say the experience was everything I wanted. When looking at resorts for my destination wedding, I wanted a place that my family and friends could just kick back, relax, and have some fun. I knew when I saw pictures of the hotel this was the place I wanted. I am glad I trusted my instincts. The place has a laid back beach vibe. Plenty of places just to sit and relax with friends and family. The outside bar was always always hoping. The food in the restaurant was good. The key lime pie is to die for.
The rooms are anything lavish. They are comfortable. The decorations are cute. It really has that beach bum vibe.
Our wedding was great. It was exactly what I wanted. Cara, our planner, was amazing. She took care of everything. It was great being able to rely on someone to help since I was in Texas until wedding time. She addressed every issue that I could think of and some I couldnt. The food was amazing. The bar was great. The whole experience was easy and amazing. We will definately back here in the future.
Overall everything at the Postcard Inn was AMAZING! We are from New Jersey and were planning a destination wedding in Florida. We worked with Cara throughout the whole process and she was fantastic! My husband surprised me with llamas at our wedding and they were instrumental in making this happen for us. We used some of their recommended vendors and some vendors they hadn't worked with before which wasn't an issue and everything flowed smoothly either way.
They definitely go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and happy on your wedding day!
The only sort of negative is the guest rooms at the resort. They had made some upgrades, but while we were there they had an issue with hot water. Nothing major because this isn't the type of hotel where you spend too much time in your room anyway.
I would do everything the same with the Postcard if I had to do it over again! AMAZING!
We recently got married at the Postcard Inn and loved it. Everyone carried thier calm and positive attitudes throughout the process. The staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. Everyone who traveled enjoyed thier stay and loved the atmosphere.
Everything was perfect at the PCI! Beautiful garden area, Cayla was GREAT! food was delicious and staff was eager to help in anyway! If you looking for a fun, beautiful outdoor/beachy venue this place is perfect!
This place is just plain wonderful: creative, cozy, nice people, good food, great music, beautiful location.
Briana is one of the sweetest person I have ever met, and they all helped me have the wedding of my dreams.Everything was stress-free, lovely, and unique. One of my favorite parts was that I passed through their crowded tiki bar dressed as a bride and everyone was sp happy and cheered me. I recommend staying some extra groovy days there, you will not be disappointed. amazing catering service, delicious food, and fun bartender.
I have very mixed reviews of Postcard Inn.
First the good:
- I loved that they were able to completely customize a menu for us. My mom had very specific things that she wanted, and the chef was able to create something to her satisfaction.
- I love the decor and the general look of the place. It fit perfectly with my 50s themed wedding.
- I love that we were able to extend our wedding to go until midnight, and keep the music going (indoors, in the ballroom) the entire time.
- I love that chiavari chairs are included in the ballroom
- I love that both the girls' ready room and the boys' suite was provided with a complementary bottle of champagne from Briana and the staff
- all of our guests had a really great time
Now the bad:
- We asked for "poutine" (a canadian dish that consists of french fries, gravy and cheese curds - they all melt together to create gooey deliciousness when served) to be served as our late night snack. We ended up with french fries, gravy, and salty, breaded, mozzarella sticks. The chef assured us that he knew how to make the dish we asked for, instead it was a complete embarrassment (especially when over half of the guests were Canadian, and we listed poutine on the menu)
- They "forgot" to tell me to cut the cake. I realized at around 10pm that we still hadn't cut it, and I had to ask the bartender, who told me he was waiting for the band to announce it. I thought this would have been WAY more organized, since I wasn't keeping track of a timeline on my own that night (didn't wear a watch!)
- They forgot to serve coffee & tea with dessert, even though we had specifically asked for it.
- They forgot the caprese salad that was supposed to go with our antipasto
- The food that we were served looked *nothing* like the food we had at the tasting (Was told afterwards that they switched chefs in between my tasting and my wedding)
Everything at PCI is fantastic -- FANTASTIC! The majority of our party stayed at the hotel for the weekend of our wedding, and everyone ate at the restaurant, Beachwood BBQ, multiple times. They also catered our wedding, as you can't bring outside food (besides dessert) to the hotel. The food is really, really good, and they really exceeded all of our expectations. There is a wide variety of things to choose from, and everything is made fresh and presented nicely. The friendly staff even boxed up a TON of food for us and had it sent to our room, since we were so busy visiting that we didn't get to eat at the reception. We even go there regularly for dates! You can't go wrong with Beachwood BBQ!
We stayed and got Married at the Post Card Inn. It was the most amazing trip and wedding. The hotel staff was so friendly and kind. We had so much fun staying there with our friends and wedding party. The beach bar and pool was amazing. The wedding day was the best part. We got the bridal room which is totally worth the $75. Greg helped us out every step of the way and even left the cutest post card in the bridal room with waters for the girls. The tell you everything you need to know to have your day be amazing. On our wedding day I didn't have to worry about a thing other than getting ready. The food was amazing and the drinks were just as amazing. Like I said the hotel was amazing and the staff was beyond amazing. We coulnd't say thank you enough. We will also be returning every March.
The PCI is a picture perfect wedding venue if you're looking for a beachy, outdoor experience. The staff is warm and welcoming - although several guests reported difficulty reserving rooms through our room block. The 70's retro surfing theme combined with the lantern-clad courtyard provides plenty of atmosphere and fun. Guests had plenty of activities to choose from to stay entertained: beach volleyball to ping pong, SUP boarding to relaxing. The property is perfectly located in St. Pete Beach and within walking distance to bars, restaurants and grocery stores.
Our wedding at The Postcard Inn was perfect! The staff was welcoming, accommodating and a genuine pleasure from beginning to end. Our guests all had a great time, and were raving about the food and venue. I am so glad we decided to go with PCI. We worked with Briana and she was a joy and so helpful with everything. This is an awesome place to have a wedding. I'd highly recommend checking this place out when searching for a place to have your big day!
There really are no words to describe the experience I had planning and executing my wedding at PCI. I am an event planner by trade and I wasnt sure that anyone would be able to realize my vision for me, but my wedding was literally perfect! The head of events, Jillian Thompson, and her staff, specifically their banquet captain Mark, took my concept and details and created a magical space for my day. The planning process was stress less from day one. Between the top notch and timely communication and willness to go above and beyond, I truley felt like family rather than a client. As a planner I have an innate case of OCD and Jillian rose to the challenge. She was incredibly patient and calm and never made me feel like an insane bride, which I knew quite well that I was at times! She is a top notch planner in the industry and I was so blessed to find her.
If you are looking for something unique and personalized, this is your spot. The venue, the rooms, the food...it is so simple in concept but the twist on vintage and electic design was right up my alley. I know for a fact, that none of my guests had been to a wedding like mine and PCI played a huge roll in that.
If you want an experience for your friends and family and not just a run of the mill wedding, PCI is your best bet!
This was the most amazing venue ever. We will be going back every year for our anniversary.
I knew the moment I saw the PCI's Pinterest page that I wanted to have my wedding and reception there. From the retro decor to the overall laid back vibe, PCI was everything I could have hoped for and more. We planned everything via telephone calls and emails since it was a destination wedding, but I was never nervous thanks to the amazing staff especially GMAC. He even wore my favorite color on the day of the wedding, and sent chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne to our suite that night. The grey clouds and pending storm couldn't dampen our event. We ended up moving the reception inside due to the weather, but decided to go for it and keep the ceremony on the beach. I was so pleased that the staff was supportive in this decision. While on my honeymoon, I met a lot of couples who got married during the same time and were in similar situations except they felt forced to push both the ceremony and reception inside. The reception inside was great with the balcony overlooking the garden. The staff even moved some of the hotel décor into our reception area to bring the beach and garden vibe inside. Brian, the bartender, was great. All of our guest loved PCI. Pick PCI and I promise you from one bride to another, you'll have an amazing wedding.
Brianna was amazing! She helped us with every step of the way. Everything was absolutely stunning with the Postcard as the backdrop. The ceremony was on the beach, cocktail hour in their beautiful garden under the big tree, and the reception in the ballroom. It was the best day of our lives so far. We couldn't be happier with Brianna and the staff at The Postcard Inn. Thank You!

The Postcard Inn is an amazing venue - our wedding beyond exceeded my expectations and was more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined! Planning a destination wedding can be challenging, but Briana and the PCI staff are very responsive, organized, and flexible. They go above and beyond in making your plans happen!
Not only is the food amazing, but the value for the beach is fantastic. Not to mention that your guests will enjoy the group rates! The garden area serves as a beautiful and unique venue and can definitely be shaped into your vision. I'm have more of a classic style, rather than the laid back vibe of the PCI and was initially worried about making this venue work, however, everything turned out great and our "casual elegance" vision really came through and looked gorgeous! We received so many compliments on our venue choice and all of our guests had the best time before, during and after the wedding!
We cannot thank the PCI, and especially Briana, enough for helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives!
Thank you so much!!!

What a perfect wedding! If you want a wedding that is not too fancy and formal, this is the venue for you. This hotel is NOT a resort. It's small and laid-back, somehow combining a party and family atmosphere. My guests had tons of fun for days leading up to the wedding--beach, pool, beach bar, outdoor fire pit, restaurants up and down the street, etc.
Great vintage, surfy feel. The rooms are not super-luxurious, but they are comfortable and adorable, so make sure that's your style!
PCI does barbeque, and it does it really well. Our guests are still raving about our food--pulled pork, chicken, mashed potatoes and mac n' cheese TO DIE FOR.
Briana, who ran the show, was AWESOME. There for me every single step of the way, even in the confusion of pulling the wedding indoors for the weather.
That's another thing: If you want your wedding ceremony AND reception outdoors, this is one of the very few options you have on the beach, and it's a beautiful option. They have a gorgeous garden grassy area for the event. Great little banquet room inside, too, which was our back-up since it rained.
Overalll, LOVED the experience there! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to any bride who wants a really fun, laid-back style wedding.
We were looking for a layed back, fun and beautiful location to hold our destination wedding weekend. Postcard Inn was a diamond in the rough and we loved it! We ended up holding all of our weekend events here (welcome dinner, ceremony & reception and farewell brunch). All of our guests RAVED about the Postcard Inn and we couldn't have been happier. The food was amazing, the staff was incredibly helpful and overall we were very happy with the experience
My husband and I fell in love with "The Inn" as we affectionately call it before we even got to see it in person. We knew we wanted to get married on the beach, have the ability for a Plan B in case of rain, and have a destination that would provide a relaxing and fun trip for our guests. PCI provided just that! From the start, their customer service was phenomenal - friendly, prompt, and honest. Unfortunately it rained on our wedding day, so our choice of having an inside Plan B that we loved, worked out in our favor. The staff, especially Briana & Mark, worked wonders in making sure that our day was still beautiful and special!
Everything about this place screamed me and my [now] husband's name. It's Anthropologie meets Surf Hotel. It's fun. It's clean. And gorgeous. The lanterns in the trees along with lobby made it impossible to say no. To be completely honest, the decor is so awesome, it meant less work for us when it came to decorations. If you're looking for a laid back wedding venue that serves incredible food and caters to the eye, then search no further. And the event coordinator, Danielle, was a gem. Loved everything about this place. AND, so did all of the guests!
My sister in law threw me a shower here and it was absolutely perfect. They have a small room they enclose where you can have tables to have a meal and play games. It was intimate and the perfect space. Then there is a large wrap around couch where I opened my gifts. It was like it was made for a shower. All the guests got to sit and watch and there was a spot in the middle for the gifts. I was so happy with it. The food was very good also.
We had the most beautiful weddings here! The wedding coordinator Briana and banquet captain Mark kept everything running on schedule. The buffet was very impressive, we got lots of compliments. Briana was very responsive to my emails through the planning process.
It was a monsoon outside, but the staff at Postcard Inn did a lovely job decorating the upstairs room for our rehearsal dinner. Our guests loved the Inn and we highly recommend the pig roast. A great time!
Postcard Inn played a central role in our wedding in March 2011. We live in MN but wanted to have our wedding on the beach and my mother-in-law lives in St. Petersburg so we decided on St. Pete Beach for the big day. Out of the probably 100 options along the strip, Postcard Inn stands out - it has a laid back, vintage surfer type atmosphere that suited us perfectly. Nearly all our 20 guests stayed at Postcard Inn for the event, we had our ceremony on their beach area, and our reception in the "canteen room" with food from the adjoining Wildwood BBQ (yum!!). The whole experience was great and I can't imagine having had our special day anywhere else. The vibe was so unique, the staff super helpful (even though there were about five weddings going on the same weekend, they helped us with everything we needed) and the decor made for some awesome wedding photos! Definitely recommend if your are looking for something unique and more on the casual, stress-free side for your big day.
We had a small simple wedding and the staff at Post Card Inn made it all possible. The setting and service was amazin!!
