I pay close attention to details to ensure a flawless wedding. I work with my clients one one one to create the perfect feel and playlist for the evening. I am fully insured and use contracts to book all events with a $500 down payment. The balance is due the day of the wedding.
Let me start off my saying that I am a Professional Wedding DJ. This is my career. DJ'ing is not something I do on the side or do for a hobby. It is my full time career that I absolutely love. I sepnd all week prepping for my upcoming weekend weddings to assure the perfect layout for my clients.
What sets me apart from other Pittsburgh DJ's is the amount of effort I put into every event. I love what I do and I make sure every event is flawless. My digital equipment is always new and up to date. My setup is sleek, clean, and modern. My vast knowledge of music and my ability to read any type of crowd lets me play the right songs at the right time. Ask me about my style.
You are not looking for someone to just play music at your event. You are looking for a host and an event coordinator. I am not just your DJ. I am your host for your entire event. I coordinate with you and the other vendors to ensure a perfect outcome.
I create the atmosphere and keep the flow going smoothly. I am knowledged and experienced in what I do and know what is needed to be done to create a perfect event. I know what needs to be done, and at one time to do it. My experience of doing over 500 weddings, I can read the crowd and types of guests at your event. I know the best times to do the special dances. I know what song rotation to use for your type of crowd. I know after talking with you and planning your wedding what you want to happen and I see that it gets accomplished.

So glad that we hired Stephanie for our reception! She made everything easy. We asked for lofi hip-hop for our cocktail hour and she delivered. We asked that the formalities be kept short and she kept us on schedule. Some of the songs we wanted for the formalities were just YouTube links, but that was just fine with her! When she says she’ll play anything, she means it! She was professional, considerate, and friendly. A++ would work with again!!
Do not hesitate for a single moment to hire Stephanie for your wedding! From the very beginning, Stephanie was nothing but kind, professional, communicative, and on top of every detail. We were especially grateful for her skillset in keeping the day running smoothly, including all event announcements, music cues, etc. We did not hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, so we were especially nervous about the day running smoothly, but Stephanie made it perfect. Without a doubt the best DJ ever. Her ability to read a crowd is truly uncanny. I first met Stephanie as the DJ for a friends wedding I was in and I thought she was amazing and I had so much fun at that wedding, mostly due to the great music! So, I already knew she was going to be great when I booked her for my wedding but she really blew me away. I am typically not ever on a dance floor at weddings or any event but I literally NEVER left the dance floor all night long for my wedding, and neither did the groom whom also never dances. I had quite a few shy, non dancers at my wedding and at various points all of those individuals were on the dance floor. She really made it impossible not to have fun!
Stephanie also did the music for our ceremony as well; I had multiple different songs picked out for various members of the bridal party to walk down the aisle to and Stephanie also made that whole process so seamless. The songs were all very different so I was worried the transitions would be very harsh but she made sure they weren’t - everything flowed so beautifully. She is very professional and so kind; she interacted so well with all of my guests and she truly was a pleasure to work with. Next time I need a DJ for any event, there is no doubt in my mind on who I would hire.

From the first time we talked to Stephanie on the phone we knew she was going to be a perfect fit for what we were looking for in a DJ. We had a pretty specific idea of what music we were looking for and it couldn't have gone any better.
Stephanie’s skills kept the day moving smoothly... speeches, intros, dances all went exactly how we envisioned, which given the controlled chaos of a wedding day was extremely helpful for us!
But to the most important thing, the MUSIC! She had the dance floor full the entire night with a perfect mix of all the music we were looking for, from a few classics, to pop punk, house music and everything in between. People are still talking about how good the music was at our wedding and we couldn't agree more.
If you hire Stephanie just know you are in for an awesome party, can't recommend her enough!
Stephanie is a MUST HIRE for your wedding or event!!! For days after the wedding everyone was talking about how much energy she brought to the reception, and based on how full our dance floor was all night, it's safe to say we all loved the music!
Stephanie was so fun to plan with and made us really feel like everything was organized and under control. She kept the evening going at a nice pace where we had enough time for each event to not feel rushed but also didn't drag anything out!
Stephanie worked with me to get a few playlists organized with some songs I knew in advance I wanted for father/daughter dance, dinner, etc. and then she went with the vibe and played her own picks for some songs, all of which were perfect!! I cannot recommend more!!!

Stephanie was the perfect wedding DJ - 10/10 would recommend! She played all of the music we wanted (and ONLY the music we wanted) from a custom Spotify playlist we put together. She was also super professional and easy to work with throughout the process. All it took was one phone call to go over the details before the wedding, and she showed up and did everything we needed her to do, accommodating all of our special requests. We could tell that she had done this many times before, as everything ran so smoothly. All of our guests had a ton of fun dancing and we got so many compliments on the reception afterward. As a wedding photographer, I have worked with Stephanie multiple times. She is always professional, courteous, and so talented at what she does. My wife and I actually booked her to dj our own wedding because I knew what a fantastic job she would do! She was extremely responsive when we had a question or needed help with our timeline. This was very reassuring and we never doubted her one bit through the process. Our wedding turned out absolutely perfect and Stephanie definitely played a huge role in that. I highly recommend Stephanie for your wedding. She was professional and supportive during our pandemic rescheduling and helpful and knowledgeable when planning the music and event. My wife and I wanted to select all the songs we played and during the process asked ourselves “why don’t we just play a Spotify playlist?” Stephanie is the reason why not! Music was transitioned and synched beautifully and kept the momentum of the dance floor going for almost 3 hours of dancing. We have her probably 4 hours of songs to use and so she was able to feel what people responded to in the moment. We’ve had multiple people tell us after how wonderful the music was and Stephanie is truly the one to thank for it. Sound system and lights were all excellent quality.
We loved working with Stephanie for our November 2021 wedding! She made our planning process very easy and straightforward, and during our event kept us on track and made sure our night went smoothly. Everyone had a great time. As an added note, we originally contracted for November 2020 and had to postpone due to the pandemic, and we very much appreciated Stephanie’s flexibility in getting us rescheduled! I can’t recommend her enough!!
I would give DJ Stephanie Crooks 100 stars if I could, she was absolutely phenomenal. She really knocked it out of the park, played all of the songs we requested and more that were perfectly tailored to our music tastes. She kept the dance floor packed all night long, and she continued to check in on my husband and I throughout the night to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. There was not a single song played that I wasn’t belting out at the top of my lungs and dancing to with all of our friends and family.
On top of her being an absolutely amazing DJ, she also didn’t even hesitate to give us a great deal on uplighting when I informed her that my husband had epilepsy and couldn’t be around traditional DJ lighting.
I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ, and I would definitely recommend her to any future brides!

Professional, helpful, talented!! Stephanie made our day extra special and overall seamless. Having a wedding in 2020 was a challenge in many ways but our DJ and Photo Booth needs were made easy thanks to Stephanie. At the beginning the photo camper booth wasn't available, which was a huge bummer. We used Premium Sounds for our wedding and it was everything we hoped for! We dont listen to typical music and Stephanie played everything we wanted and still had the crowd up and moving. Stephanie was great to work with as a DJ. I booked her for 6 hours of DJ service plus uplighting. She sends you a list of popular wedding songs, and you pick which ones you like. This way, she gets a feel of what you're looking for (for example- I don't like rap or country, so she played a lot of pop and oldies but goodies). The dance floor was always filled! Stephanie is also very organized and keeps everything on schedule. The uplighting was also beautiful...it really created an ambiance in the room!

Stephanie was the perfect DJ for our wedding! She provided a top music list that I went through and checked what I wanted played throughout the day and then also added a lot of my own music choices to the list. You can specify the specific songs you want played for each event of the day (ceremony, cake cutting, etc.). It took some time planning it all out (I probably went overboard), but Stephanie played everything according to my list everyone had SO much fun dancing. I didn't know I could have that much fun at my wedding. I also highly recommend her up lighting - it was the perfect touch to the night. Stephanie was very professional and responded quickly to my questions in the months leading up to the big day. I highly recommend Stephanie to DJ your event!!

A wedding is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, but let's be honest, dealing with vendors is stressful. Trying to get everyone on board at our venue the priory was a pain, but Steph was BY FAR the easiest to work with. She helped us prepare our mix and really took time to listen to what we wanted, even if we overplayed the wheeze africa cover
What all can I say? We had our wedding at the atrium and Steph was AMAZING. Shes very knowledgeable and professional, but also has fun with the wedding guests. People were raving about her!

Well she has a lot more options then that!!! From the ever famous electric slide to music you can “floss” to. We had so much fun at the succup people there were trying to crash. We met Stephanie a week before our wedding and went through the whole night step by step. She gave us some pointers and suggestions which really helped. Stephanie showed up early to our event, set up all her equipment and continued to do a great job throughout the night.

I also used Stephanie to DJ my wedding and that is where my 3 stars comes from. She seems like a absolutely awesome person, she is super nice! However, (which maybe I caught her on a rough week, because we all have it!) I found her quite unprofessional. I had been planning my wedding, which I did mostly on my own, while working three jobs. I was super busy the whole planning time and worked up until the day before my rehearsal dinner. About two weeks before she had contacted me about my song list, at that time I was super busy and did not email her back that day. Her response was not to call me or even send me a secondary email, instead she ended up emailing my mom (which she only had her email because of a special song they wanted to keep secret). I personally did not take that well. Over the next few days I sent some rather sassy emails back to her (which I would say I was snippy, however she was the same) and she completely denied emailing my mother on purpose (I looked at the emails, they were purposeful).
The other off-putting note was that she played the incorrect song for our first dance. My husband and I were called on the dancefloor and started dancing. After a few moments I realized it wasn't the correct song and I had to make a judgement call about whether to say something and stop it all or to just let it slide. I let it slide, should I have? Probably not. She never noticed but I will never forget.
All in all, she played amazing music. She had an awesome booth! She was super nice! Stephanie dealt with all our weird song and introduction changes super well!

Do yourself a favor and book DJ Stephanie Crooks! This was one of the first things we did was book our DJ and it proved to be the best decision! She was extremely professional and very helpful! Everything at our reception was wonderful she kept things moving and helped us make sure that we got around to every table! Everyone was out on the dance floor perfect playlist for our day! We had so much fun dancing the night away!

Stephanie is amazing as a DJ! She did a great job with our event planner to keep the ceremonial things moving. She has a great ear, and knows what will get everyone dancing, from the older family and friends, to the youngest of guests. She listened to what we wanted. She does an amazing job with dinner music and then when it was time to dance, she had all of our favorites and things that we had discussed ahead of time. Great all around DJ for any event!

Stephanie went above and beyond her role as a DJ to make sure the wedding timeline ran smoothly. She stuck to our suggested song list/style and the dance floor was packed all night. We have a few music snob friends, who also complemented Stephanie on all of her choices. Out of all the vendors we worked with for everything, she was by far my favorite. If you want to hire someone to guarantee you won't have to stress about your decision, choose Stephanie! She has a great voice for the job of announcements and made sure to pronounce the names of our entire bridal party correctly. We loved working with her!
Stephanie did an excellent job as the DJ of our wedding on June 24, 2017. She played all of the songs that I asked her to play. She did well with pronouncing the names of our bridal party. She contacted me several times about the wedding and was very professional. Lastly, she stayed on schedule for all of the different dances throughout the night.

I am SOOO happy that I chose Premium Soundz (Stephanie) to DJ our wedding AND to provide us with photo booth services. Stephanie is AWESOME and all of our guests could not stop talking about how much FUN they had on the dance floor! On top of it all, the photo booth was A HIT! I spent hours the day after the wedding browsing the photo booth photos (that Stephanie and her crew convieniently provided us on a flash drive - the night of the wedding!) while sharing laughs with family members! Her prices can't are amazing, and the quality cannot be beat!
I used a female DJ because i didnt want stuff to get corny and uncomfortable. In addition, her set up was professional and clean looking. She played everything I asked. It was 100% perfect. I didn't have a wedding planner and I was worried about how things would flow but she was so organized and made the timeline move without a hitch. She said everyones names right and didnt try to steal the show. Everyone loved the music and I cant tell you how many genuine "best wedding I've ever been to" remarks we still get and I think Stephanie had alot to do with it. So glad I didnt spend money on a day of planner.

Stephanie was a fantastic DJ. She was extremely helpful during the setup process. We had many phone calls and she even met Lindsay and I in person. Our cocktail hour music, dinner music, and dance music was a big hit. I would certainly recommend her!
Stephanie was fantastic! She is super nice and easy to work with. My husband and I found her really helpful when we were picking music, especially since he and I have completely opposite tastes. She set up and tore down at the reception without a peep, kept the guests happy, and at times brought some much needed order to a chaotic day by keeping to schedule. Without a doubt would hire her again! She was wonderful!
She was very good and very easy to work with. She handled any special requests or accommodations we had. Everything was done really well and professionally. It was also helpful she answered our questions and called before the wedding to iron out details (names, order of activities,etc) which made the day flow smoothly.

Steph did an absolutely amazing job. Months later and I still have people talking about our reception and asking who our DJ was. Steph was early, dressed professionally, kept the party going, and helped get the formalities done on time. Steph not only provided music for our reception but also for our ceremony. We couldn't be happier with the services provided. If I had to do it again, she'd still be my first call!

Stephanie was our DJ for September 4th, 2016 at the Sheraton Station Square. Our ceremony went longer than expected and she did a great job of adjusting our playlist to include all of the songs we wanted to hear. The photo booth was great; our guests had a blast taking pictures and we now have another great memory book. I would definitely recommend her!

Stephanie was amazing! She not only worked with us to play the music we wanted but was open to ideas and had great suggestions. When our outside wedding turned into a downpour 15 minutes before the start she quickly reset inside and did not miss a beat. Our guests had a blast and check out her photo booth too- it was one of the best part of our day!
First and foremost, Stephanie was an amazing DJ. Our guests had such a great time, WE had a great time, and everyone was dancing the whole night! There was NEVER a time when the dance floor vacated, and that was all thanks to Stephanie! Before the wedding, Stephanie was very prompt and professional in her email responses, called when she said she was going to, and always checked in to make sure everything we needed or wanted was taken care of. I didn't have any worries going into the night, and things got better and better from the very first song until the absolute end. I had many of my guests tell me that our DJ was amazing and that she was playing the absolute best music to keep everyone excited and having fun! She knew when to move people along, when to slow things down, and read the room perfectly. I couldn't recommend Stephanie enough to anyone looking for a wonderful, professional DJ.

She played all the music we wanted at all the right times (including some specific and rather weird requests...she read the dance floor incredibly well in the moment), and she kept people dancing throughout the night! She also kept things moving right on schedule and was very flexible and adaptable. She was very organized, great at understanding our needs, and also super friendly. Her lighting was also great. We cannot recommend her highly enough!
