Putting the same review everywhere - Been a while since we had to deal with this, but since I know a lot of people are getting married I thought it would be best to write this out. Be ready for these two to take your special day and make it feel as worthless as it could possibly feel. Matt and Lori sound like great people on paper. At first they called us and were super excited to work with us and it sounded like a great time. We got married last September, with an Engagement Shoot Scheduled for Early April 2022. We paid our deposits and did everything as expected, but we never heard from them after the initial consultation. After Lori drew up the contract that has a "If we cancel we keep your deposit" clause, we never heard back from them. I found them on every version of social media available asking for details, a phone call, or something of the sort to try and get even a response from these people to schedule or try to work with them, to no avail. I ended up having to get my money back through the bank, as we were essentially scammed out of the 3.5k fees associated with hiring them. The only reason we kept at it for so long was because my partner was ecstatic about their photos and wanted the best for our wedding. All of our calls were ignored and sent straight to voicemail. Calls made on other people's phones rang through but were never picked up. Voicemails never returned, blasted on social media, and never once even a "Sorry for missing this" or an explanation as to why our special day was not important enough for these two. When they work with you, I am sure they are wonderful people, but they are definitely willing to try and take your money and run when a better gig comes up. Stay away and find a better photographer for your moment. In Summary: Not professional, unable to work with, and ultimately felt predatory. Spend your money on someone who makes you a priority for your wedding.

I’m very sorry to say that we can NOT in good conscience recommend Pretty Branch for anyone looking for a photographer or videographer. Lori and Matt have great energy and coupled with their high production value and quality of photos we were excited to work with them and have them document our wedding. However, as time progressed our experience with them quickly turned into a nightmare. For instance, they were extremely uncommunicative–to the point that we were unsure if they would actually show up to our wedding until the night before when they finally returned communication and reviewed the details for the event that took place in July of 2021. Since then our experience with them has only worsened as we STILL have NOT received our wedding video, no raw footage, nothing. We have been more than patient and have reached out numerous times only to receive little to no response. And while we are thankful to have received our wedding photos from them, they have been paid in full while we have not received what was promised more than A YEAR AND A HALF later. We did our due diligence in selecting Matt and Lori and are dumbfounded by other people’s stellar experiences while we have essentially been ghosted. My husband and I have gone back and forth about leaving this review as we did not want it to influence the quality of our video but frankly they have left us no other recourse. We have been more than patient and understanding with nothing to show for it. Ultimately, our goal in leaving this review is so no one else goes through the same heartache, ESPECIALLY for their special day. Please, do yourself a favor and find a DIFFERENT photographer/videographer.

Matt and Lori got some amazing footage of us, and we are SO excited to see all of it. The sneaks they showed us during and after the shoot looked amazing. They were nice, encouraging, friendly, and so easy to work with. And we booked them at the very last moment, yet they were so accommodating.

This duo truly are amazing! We booked them for our engagement and wedding photos and now, we want them to be our forever photographers. We had an out of state wedding, so it was so hard to find a photographer & videographer but when I saw their work and spoke with Lori, I knew we had to book them. One of my top things was to have a photographer capture all the great moments. My husband and I do not like getting our pictures taken but Matt and Lori helped us ease up a bit and make us feel so confident. These two are so fun to be around. Honestly you will not regret booking them! We cannot wait to see the rest of our photos and video!

We had the BEST TIME with Pretty Branch as our photographers for the wedding!! They are so relaxed and fun to be around, they make the whole experience so much fun while staying organized and capturing all of our dream shots. We are blown away from the photos received, and ecstatic from the whole experience. We LOVE Pretty Branch!!!!

Lori and Matt are great! From the moment we saw their work we knew we wanted to book with them. We initially had a November 2020 wedding which had to be postponed. Lori and Matt have us reassurance and we’re supportive and empathetic about the situation. We finally had our day in March 2021. They made us feel extremely comfortable. They are a great team! Matt was very kind and calm and Lori keep the excitement level up! Our photos are stunning and we loved our videos. We received so many compliments. They were an overall joy to work with and they have a special place in our hearts!

I loved these photos and the people taking them! Matt & Lori did such a great job making us feel comfortable. We aren’t photo people but looking at these, I truly can say I teared up. I’m so happy we picked them to capture our special day. Covid ruined our original plans but Matt and Lori were there through it all to make sure we still had an amazing day. Cannot recommend enough!

Matt and Lori are truly one of a kind and I am SO HAPPY we chose them to bring our wedding memories to life. I knew I wanted somewhat of a moody edit on our engagement and wedding photos, and after scrolling through the Pretty Branch archives, I could tell this duo had something special. Within seconds of our first call, my decision was made. Not only are they incredibly talented artists, but Matt and Lori are SO MUCH FUN. They made us feel comfortable and honestly felt like our BFFs while shooting our engagement photos. Their eyes for lighting and the perfect backdrop was seriously impressive. I would recommend Matt and Lori to anyone and everyone - they will truly amaze you and exceed every expectation you may have. I can't wait to see what they do with photo and video on wedding day!

Highly recommend Lori and Matt for all your wedding video/photo needs. If your looking for a fun couple that loves what they do and will make you look great, then these are your peeps. From start to finish they were very flexible, professional and accommodating with all of our requests. Very easy to reach when we had questions and responded very quickly to emails, texts or missed calls. They're willing to travel pretty much anywhere and they did an AMAZING job capturing our Las Vegas wedding and reception. Well worth the money to have these pros capture every special moment for your big day.

Matt & Lori are a dream team! They have an amazing travel offer, which we used to take engagement photos in San Francisco. I chose the location and sent them some inspiration photos but they took care of the rest. I'm really shy in front of the camera but they kept making conversation to keep us at ease and gave us plenty of direction. The engagement photos came out so perfect and dramatic, even better than I could've imagined! I still get butterflies when I look through the album. For the wedding, they were with us for over 12 hours. They captured every minute, from the Vietnamese Tea Ceremony to getting ready in the morning & afternoon to the dance party at night. They continued to keep us, the wedding party, & our family members at ease and never said no to photos (like when my dad's friends insisted on photo after photo haha). We haven’t received the full album yet but I already know it’s going to be a dream based off the sneak peaks! Matt & Lori are professional, fun, and know what they’re doing. It was so convenient finding a photographer and videographer duo and I love that they’re a couple because it felt comfortable and intimate the whole time. Thank you for everything!! Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without you two!

If you haven't found a photographer/videographer for your wedding yet... look no further! I can not express how awesome Matt and Lori are! Not only are they amazing at what they do but they are so great to work with! Matt and Lori are both such a great duo. you can tell they love with what they do and they want to make sure your special day is stress free! A big big big plus is that they stay with you ALL day! whatever , wherever , they are there! They were able to capture my Vietnamese tea ceremony at 7 am and stayed with us until 10 pm! I was scared they wouldn't know the Vietnamese ceremony layout but they did!!! so I didn't have to explain anything to them! all my pictures came out so beautiful! They captured all my special moments. Moments I didn't even remember having because that day went by so fast! I can't wait to see them again at my friends upcoming weddings!

To say that Lori & Matt were awesome is an understatement! My husband and I recently got married in January 2020 in San Francisco. We sorta eloped. Our guest count was small but intimate. Our ceremony was at SF City Hall & our small reception at the University of SF City Club. Lori & Matt got everything single angle and perfect shot at both locations. My husband and I are not “picture people” but they were so fun and chill to be around it made us feel relaxed. All my guest still talk about how “cool,” they were and how good they were at getting their job done. They were so sweet, I still remember them telling me how beautiful I looked at they took shots of me in my feed before the ceremony and it helped with my nerves. From the beginning of me contacting them they were so quick to respond and always checking in with me until the day of the wedding. Pictures are so important, they are long lasting memories for our most special days and I’m very happy I was able to find Lori & Matt to be part of one of the best days of my life. If you’re looking for professionals, artistic, talented and awesome down to earth people then your best bet is hiring Pretty Branch Photo.

We have nothing but great things to say about Lori and Matt. So far we have only done our engagement shoot with them, but they made the experience so comfortable! We were both worried that we would come off stiff and feel weird about having our photos taken in public, but Lori and Matt made us feel good about the whole experience and made it so fun and intimate! I loved working with them and cant wait to see how beautiful our wedding photos come out! I highly recommend them!

My now husband and I loved working with Matt + Lori for our wedding photo and video. They are such a great team and balance each other so well. You can really feel that they care and want to deliver an amazing experience and beautiful product (they succeeded at both without a doubt). On our wedding day it rained all morning so I was worried our outdoor garden wedding would be ruined. Lori + Matt went above and beyond to reassure me that I didn't have to worry. I'm a realist, and not a fan of blind optimism, so I was shocked and incredibly grateful when instead of saying the usual "it'll be fine," comments, they offered me a real solution of the ability to come back to the venue another day to re-shoot our sweetheart photo session if the rain didn't let up. Knowing we had this back-up plan really put me at ease, because I knew that whatever happened for the rest of the day, we'd have the opportunity to come back and capture those moments. Fortunately the rain let up just in time :) We've gotten our sneak peak photos and have shared a handful on social media, and so many people have sent me messages letting me know how much they love the photos! We couldn't be happier.

Literally the most amazing duo ever! Matt and Lori were more than we could have ever asked or wanted in a photographer/videographer. They were patient with our group and Lori brought me back to reality more than once when I was getting overwhelmed at our wedding. Photography and videography is such an important part of the wedding process, but the price can add up so fast. Let me just say this: Lori and Matt are worth every penny. Not only is their photo and video quality pristine, seamless, and gorgeous, but they are a blast to hang out with! These two are comfortable and in love with what they do, and they’ll make you feel the same way. For those of you on the fence about the video part of the package—do it! The pictures are lovely and I am so happy with them, but the video blew me away. And it was so nice getting to sit with my husband and watch our day all the way through. We both felt the same way we did that day while we watched it: ecstatic, giddy, in love. And you’d be hard-pressed to find another photographer team that will stay with you at your wedding until the very end! Our reception descended into quite the party, so we’re so glad that Lori and Matt were able to capture every second, not just the posed moments. Thank you, Pretty Branch Photo for doing our big day justice! We are eternally grateful!!

I’m so happy we found Matt & Lori from Pretty Branch! Both our engagement and elopement photos are perfect and fairy-tale like, they really captured us and our special bond the best way possible. We received so many compliments on our photos and our elopement video brought some of of friends and family to tears(us too!) Matt& Lori make a great team! And they produce amazing products! They did both our engagement photos and our wedding photos, and we couldn’t be happier! Our engagement photos where a breath of fresh air, we were both so nervous and Matt&lori made us at ease, they are such easy going ppl! We had a destination wedding in Kauai and Matt&Lori flew in to capture our best day ever! We did an adventure shoot a couple days after the wedding which I now recommend to every couple! It left us so much time on the day of the wedding! And we were able to get capture epic photos around the island that we had our hearts set on! Bottom line, Pretty Branch is a great company, great people and friends and amazing work! You won’t be disappointed! Great quality at a great price!

Wow! We couldn't be more happy how our wedding photos came out!! They were absolutely beautiful. Our wedding theme was a rustic greenery and the photos just gave justice on how we vision our wedding. I love how the edits turned out, very clean, crisp, and high quality photos. Pretty Branch was easy to work with. To be honest, we just met them the day of the wedding itself but we never felt any awkwardness with them. We did the photography shoot so easy! They made us feel comfortable in every poses that we had to do. My husband is a camera shy but, he enjoyed the shoot and had an amazing photos. They are very professional. They know what they are doing. You also don't have to worry about their service time. They will be on your wedding from the time you do your make up up to the very end of your reception party without any additional charge. Please save yourself from all the hard work you do at your wedding. Make sure to get the BEST PHOTOGRAPHER because after you best day ever, what's only left for you and your husband is your wedding photos and videos that you could show your future family! I highly recommend pretty branch wedding!!!

They're genuinely so excited to be taking pictures of you, and they're not shy in the slightest, which helps to break the ice--taking pictures like this can sometimes be awkward! Not only are their photos gorgeous pre and post editing, their video skills are unmatched. Absolutely loved working with Matt and Lori for our wedding and day after session! They were seriously the best! They were super nice, made us feel very comfortable, and captured such special moments that we will never forget. One thing that I loved was the fact that they show up and leave when you tell them. I noticed a lot of photographers had a time range that they work but PrettyBranch didn’t! It was really nice not having to worry about my photographer missing a moment. Also, no travel fees!! I highly recommended them for any photography/videography needs you have!

Nothing short of amazing! From the photo shoot being one of the best experiences of my life with my now husband to the wedding. They really captured so many unforgettable moments! They are so adventurous and are willing to go to any lengths to make the best memory into a photograph. They’re reasonably priced, flexible with dates, and the most easy going couple I’ve ever met. They also went anywhere we wanted for our photo shoots without charging gas. I’m not sure the pricing for very long distance though, but I’m sure reasonable. I wish we could have brought them on our honeymoon to take more pictures of us! Outstanding, professional, and did I mention... amazing.

A picture is truly worth a thousand words! Lori and Matt captured every moment of my daughter's wedding with so much love, joyfulness and artistic expertise! Lori and Matt arrived early afternoon to capture preparing for the ceremony and photo graphed every moment throughout the day and evening with so much love! My husband and I did not get to have an engagement shoot so we had an anniversary shoot almost a year after our wedding and it was everything we could have hoped for and more! When your wedding guests still rave about your photographer/videographers 2 months after your wedding you know you hit the jackpot! Lori and Matt were the perfect amount of professional and fun. I had actually booked another photographer and when she backed out 2 months before my wedding Lori came to the rescue! Everything happens for a reason and I am so over the moon that this duo joined us on our most special day ever. Lori is such a sweetheart, she helped me stay calm and stress free all day. Matt was amazing, we did a quick "boudoir" shoot before I got dressed and he made me feel completely comfortable. The best thing about these lovebirds is that they included a free engagement session in their package. I'm looking forward to shooting with them again for a post wedding shoot since we booked them last minute and already had engagement photos. Lori sent over sneak peaks just days after the wedding which were amazing. I can't wait for our video and the rest of the photos to relive the day all over again. I'm glad I went with the video because the day flies by and at the end of the night you have no idea what hit you. They are up for whatever adventure or idea you throw at them. They will not stop until the party is over and if you're lucky even the after party! You will NOT be disappointed if you chose them. I could write so much more but I hate long reviews so I'll stop here. Just book them already!

The Pretty Branch team is by far our favorite photography professionals and team my husband and I have ever worked with! From the moment we met them, we knew they were a special duo and their attention to detail and their work set them apart from the rest of the photographers we had been interviewing. Their passion for photography, stunning photos of special captured wedding moments and engagement photos, and their kind and fun personalities ultimately made us decide that they were the perfect choice for our wedding!! Their engagement photos that they did for us blew us away...but our wedding photos came out incredible and SO stunning! They shared our sneak peek photos within three days after the event...what other company can do that?! 10/10 superstars! Would highly recommend for weddings/ elopements/ boudoir / styles shoots! Style//Artistic eye: I love Lori and Matt’s eye for love in their ART! They seem to understand different couples and their expression- and it shines through in their work. They are true artists, willing to take (calculated/experiences) risks that get you where you wanna go! Talented couple who SHOULD CONTINUE TO DO WHAT THEY ARE DOING! It’s working- Communication: M&L were very communicative and helped guide our photography poses/positions to get the right angle and light for the best outcome. Professional: M&L were early to the shoot to scope out the surroundings and get a feel for the best areas. Unfortunately hair and makeup ran an hour late so we were crunched for daylight- M&L MADE IT WORK. We moved quickly and they stayed calm even though I know deep down they might’ve been stressed about missing many desired sunset shots. They stayed positive and efficient the entire time... allowing for us to enjoy the special moments. Personality: M&L are friendly, down to earth and truly warm. I think they helped make me and my fiancé feel super comfortable and they would be able to make anyone feel their best!
