We really cannot say enough good things about Maribel from Pretty Films! From the moment we sat down for our first meeting I was obsessed. They tied together every special moment seamlessly, and not in a dry chronological sequence (getting ready, ceremony, pictures, cocktail hour, speeches etc.). But she didn’t stop by adding just the classical moments, she added special moments or places that she knew would be dear to our hearts. For instance: capturing our last kiss before marriage (with the groom blind folded of course!), zooming in on the address of our first apartment (one spot where we took photos), involving moments with our dog (and removing the part I tripped because our dog was pulling so hard). It didn’t stop there, she added a shot of my law school as it was a few buildings away. I don't even recall mentioning it at our second meeting but she was so thorough and attentive that she remembered. But my absolute favorite part was that she included footage of my mom and I FaceTiming with her sister (my aunt) and her mom (my grandmother), who both live in Greece. Due to my grandmother’s health, they were unable to attend. There was a shot of both of them on my mom’s phone! It meant so much to my family and I that they were included. Should you get a videographer? YES! And we highly recommend Maribel and her team at Pretty Films. Several of our newlywed friends prior to and after regretted not hiring a professional videographer. Uncle Al and his Hi-8 hand-held camera from 1993 panning all over the place with personal commentary? NO! Seriously, go with the professionals. Several in-person consultations on our schedule, Maribel and her team really made us comfortable in the videographer planning process and took the time to get to know us. They really took the time and energy in getting to know what we we’re looking for, what we liked, what we didn’t like captured throughout our wedding, what type of shots, scenes, moments, etc. They listened attentively, and understanding and knowing our venue in advance, planned everything out accordingly with equipment, lighting, sound … even a drone! On our wedding day, both patient and professional, as well as extremely awesome around our little niece / flower girl who was a bit fussy with all the videography (terrible-twos), Maribel and her team did a fantastic job in capturing our wedding. They worked extremely well with both sides of the family making everyone comfortable and definitely had no problem working with our other vendors, especially when it came to communication and time commitments. Incredibly smooth process. No shaky footage, awkward pans, or even wind drowning out the microphones, Maribel and her team beautifully captured our wedding in a short, 7-minute, highlight film … to which, to put it simply since we are at a loss for words, we had a friend who didn’t even attend the wedding tear up while watching the film. Pretty Fims is the absolute best videographer that I could have selected to capture our wedding day. We worked mainly with Maribel who was willing to accommodate us every step of the way. Pretty Films did an absolutely amazing job with the video of our wedding day. My husband and I planned a destination wedding in Jackson, Wyoming. When planning our wedding, videography was one of the last things that we booked because we wanted to ensure we didn’t go over budget. Looking back, it should have been one of the first things we booked after the venue because I didn’t realize just how much of your own wedding you do not get to see from the flower girl and ring bearer walking down the aisle to the silly wedding party entrances to the reception. After seeing their video my husband and I were sold and started reaching out to Maribel to inquire about availability for our date. Maribel and her team were very accommodating and willing to come all the way out to Wyoming to film our big day, even with short notice. They ventured around the town and national parks to capture beautiful footage before the wedding activities began and really captured not only our big day but the essence of Jackson. They asked all the right questions leading up to our wedding to ensure they didn’t miss the little things that were important to us. Having a videographer was not part of our original plans. But, covid turned out to be a blessing in disguise for us because it led us to Maribel and her team to capture our wedding day for those who couldn’t be there. As we downsized the guest list and continuously changed plans, Maribel and her team remained flexible with open communication. The team worked beautifully with our planner and photographer and Maribel was an absolute blast on our wedding day – we and our families felt instantly comfortable with them, and they seamlessly captured every element of our day (and, given that we got married during a pandemic, it’s worth adding that we felt absolutely safe with Maribel!). Maribel and her company provided a wonderful Zoom experience for our remote guests that perfectly captured our day without interfering or slowing down the ceremony. We also had her record some pre- and post- ceremony footage, and she and her team delivered a beautiful video for us to treasure forever. Editing is elegant and artful, without taking focus away from the event itself. I wouldn't change a single thing about it, which is incredible for such a personal memento. Throughout the process, I was confident Maribel would handle her side of things professionally and with little input from my wife and I. This is immensely valuable on a day when you have so much to worry about! She's also sincerely a pleasant and vibrant person that made us feel at ease, and she even left us laughing, which I'm sure helped her capture more natural footage of us. We were also able to work with Maribel to get the exact package and price point we wanted. We wanted Zoom as a minimum and maybe a recording to save, but were fortunately able to budget for some extra flourishes that really elevated the edited version. At the same time, we never felt pressured to upgrade to something we couldn't afford. Everyone knows people are liable to regret spending money on frivolous wedding 'extras'. Where do I even begin?! Maribel and her team captured my daughter’s wedding on November 7, 2021 in Boston, MA. From the minute Maribel walked into the room, it felt like we had known her for years! Her professionalism and kindness are unmatched, and her humor made everyone feel at ease! Maribel even shared with us a few sneak peaks towards the end of the wedding leaving us speechless! But, covid turned out to be a blessing in disguise for us because it led us to Maribel and her team to capture our wedding day for those who couldn’t be there. As we downsized the guest list and continuously changed plans, Maribel and her team remained flexible with open communication. The team worked beautifully with our planner and photographer and Maribel was an absolute blast on our wedding day – we and our families felt instantly comfortable with them, and they seamlessly captured every element of our day (and, given that we got married during a pandemic, it’s worth adding that we felt absolutely safe with Maribel!). Maribel continued to be extremely helpful and kind after our wedding day.
