I absolutely loved my dress from Pronovias and working with Itzel made the experience so fun and easy. I had gone to a few other bridal salons in Austin with no luck before coming to Pronovias, and as soon as Itzel pulled a few dresses for me, I knew I had come to the right place. She understood my vision immediately and each dress she brought was better than the last. I ended up with the Jory dress and it was absolutely stunning on my wedding day. Simple yet elegant, it was a timeless look and I am so happy I found the dress that was perfect for me. I could not have done that without Pronovias and Itzel's help. Thank you!!
I've had an extremely negative experience with Pronovias Bridal's Boston store, beginning with a disheartening appointment in January. Despite a scheduled appointment for a product I was assured was in stock, I found that it was unavailable after waiting 30 minutes in the store. This led to subsequent visits and parking fees totaling $60. The accessory, upon finally obtaining it, was disappointingly stained with foundation, mascara and perfume scented, raising concerns about its condition and authenticity. Despite reaching out for resolution since February 21, I've received minimal response, exemplifying poor customer service from a "luxury" brand that should prioritize top-tier service. Seeking a refund for the flawed overskirt, I'm disheartened by the lack of quality control and customer care. Despite multiple attempts, including calls, emails, and texts over the past week, my efforts to seek assistance from Pronovias Bridal's customer service, Tammy Farris, or Dijana have been largely ignored. To this day I still have no refund and 0 resolution. The lack of responsiveness adds to the frustration of my already challenging consumer experience, especially one that should be a special experience as a bride. I highly recommend avoiding Pronovias Bridal Boston altogether.
I had a really great experience with Pronovias. I was looking for something unique, and I definitely found it there. Itzel was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was supportive, and I did a lot of the shopping myself so even though they are not supposed to give their opinion, when I asked her for her input she was super helpful.
Their seamstress, Erminia, was just amazing. My dress fit like it was made for me and she helped me do some insane alterations on a jumpsuit independently since she has her own business. Everyone came out so well. She is no longer with Pronovias, but I will continue to tell everyone about her talent.
I will say the alterations cost is a flat fee and is a bit expensive, but I was okay with this and they were very clear about it upfront. But overall I was so happy with my dress and received endless compliments.
I found my dream dress at Pronovias!
I went with the Pasiphae - beautiful, ornate details, and the perfect fit. The staff at Pronovias was supportive and accommodating, and I couldn't believe the price - I was expecting twice as much for such a beautiful dress.
I've never received so many compliments in my life. Highly recommend!
Honestly, it all comes down to customer service and the entire experience.
Austin has many bridal stores, but both my sister and i did not have the bridal dress experience that we did at Pronovias. Firstly, making an appointment is very easy. Secondly, the way you’re welcomed in, treated, and helped is so important. Abigail, my stylist, was so helpful and patient and kind throughout the whole process. She would bring out dress after dress, catering to my every need. She would give her kind but honest opinion when asked for it. I also like that when I had a question she didn’t necessarily know the answer to, she would go and check with someone who did rather than give me an answer she’s unsure about. After every fitting, she was receptive to feedback about how it fit and alterations.
However, what I loved the most about my pronovias experience is that after discussions with the whole team, Pronovias was able to design from scratch a veil that perfectly matched my dress. I really appreciated this, especially since Pronovias dresses are unique and you’re unable to find veils that match perfectly elsewhere. At first, I was told a couple of times that pronovias did not do custom veils. However, after contacting customer service and talking to Tammy, we found a way to resolve this issue and make the perfect veil! I the seamstress, Armenia, was so helpful and talented. She also was very honest about what she thought was best, and she created the perfect veil. She also shortened the dress somehow without removing any of the beautiful beading at the bottom of the dress.
As for timeline— I came in December 2021, and my wedding is in September. I did my first fitting in May, second one + pick up in August. I had my veil appointment August as well. The timeline was perfect— I live in Michigan and only wanted to make two trips to Austin so the way they were flexible with scheduling those was perfect.
All in all, I’m so so happy with my Pronovias experience. I felt like I was being treated like a princess the whole time. Thank you Pronovias, Abigail, Tammy, and Armenia!
I wish I had only wonderful things to say about working with and buying my wedding dress from Pronovias, but I do not.
While Pronovias designs are innovative and stunning, and my dress itself was wonderfully made when it arrived, the customer service and final alteration process were the most difficult and regrettable situations I navigated leading up to my wedding.
To start with, even though I purchased my dress in April '21 for my March '22 wedding I was not able to try on the dress until mid-December. This was after months of management reassuring me, including when I purchased it, I would be able to try it on in August and that this would give me enough time to purchase another dress from the store if I did not like it.
As I feared, I did not have that opportunity. And worse, finding out any progress about my dress was impossible in those months. I received no follow up emails about the status of my dress when I inquired and when I went into the physical store to talk to a manager with my fiancé – I was finally reassured and told I would get follow up emails about the status of my dress being made in Barcelona. Weeks later? No emails. I truly believe I was only taken seriously in that moment because my fiancé went into the store with me.
When I finally did try on my dress at the store, I was very taken aback by how polarizing the experience was. I am not someone who expected dotting employees but all the people who helped me into my dress seemed uninterested and cold. And I was not given a single apology by the manager or company for how long it took to receive the dress.
Upon finishing my final fitting I realized the dress was never taken in from the bodice like I had been told it would. Coming to every fitting and appointment alone due to the pandemic meant I was unable to really look at it and assess It properly. This is, I will admit, my own fault. However, no employee at my final fitting suggested taking in the bra cups when I expressed that I thought it was too loose (for reference I think they were a solid two cup sizes too large for my size 8 dress.) Instead, they gave me a sticky bra, even when there were already cup inserts that had been sewed into the strapless bodice. My theory on this is that the tailoring of the corset bodice would have been too much work and so it simply was never done.
On the days leading up to the wedding I was so uncomfortable with the fit of the dress, that I tried to contact other tailors to fix their work. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time and on the day of my wedding I had to be sewn into the dress by my aunt, so I didn’t have to worry about it falling too far down my chest. I also resorted to tape that sadly, can still be seen in wedding photographs.
Speaking of wedding photographs I cannot even look at some my own a month after, because it is so clear my dress does not properly fit me (again this is post the assistance of my aunt who moved the clasp for the bodice, and gave it some level of structure.) It's stunningly disappointing.
Before anyone inquires, I did not take back my dress to Pronovias in the days before my wedding because I frankly did not trust them and did not want to deal with them again.
I continue to be angry and disappointed at the money I did spend on the dress. While it was beautiful in theory, I wish more than anything I had gone with my backup dress or bought this dress off a used bridal dress website and found a more reliable tailor.
Purchased my wedding dress from Pronovias at the Domain. I'm so happy with the dress that I chose and the service that was provided. Tammy was who helped me and she was so patient and kind.
