As far as your playlist goes, you provided a lot more music than we had time to play. Your playlist was 5 hours long but there was only about 3 hours of dancing time built into your timeline. Our questionnaire says on it that if you provide a playlist that is too long, we will need to cut some of the music. You kept coming up to us asking for us to play different songs from your playlist that were further down the list, and we played them as soon as you requested them. We do NOT have explicit songs in our library...all songs that we own are the radio edit/versions and we only play explicit versions if our client specifically asks for it (meaning we have to download it exclusively for that event). You specified on your questionnaire that we could play anything as long as it was a clean radio edit, and that is what we followed. We wish you the best in the future.

nce on the day of. We are sorry that you were not as happy in the lead up though. We're a bit perplexed what you are referring to. We sent you the planning forms to begin filling out on May 9th, one month before your wedding, and we told you that as soon as you completed them, we would introduce you to your DJ so you could schedule a meeting. You still had not completed the planning forms a few weeks later, so we then introduced you to your DJ on May 22nd because your wedding date was getting so close and we didn't want to delay any longer. You had your planning call with the DJ on May 26th, so a total of 4 days later. During those 4 days, you and your DJ were in communication via email and text, discussing options to schedule a call. We know that you had a little bit of difficulty finding a time that worked for both of you, but this happened over 4 days, not weeks. We attempted to reach out to you to discuss this situation, but didn't hear back. We wish you two the best!

ng your concerns, we are a bit confused as we are just now hearing about this for the first time. Regarding DJ assignment, Ivan was assigned to your June 2024 wedding, in December 2023 and his contact information was given to you at that time. We aren't sure why you thought that he wasn't assigned until 2 weeks before the wedding, since that is not correct. As far as the the ceremony, there were indeed working microphones available, but several people with speaking roles chose not to use the microphones that were set up and available. Lastly, we discussed name pronunciations with you prior to the wedding during the planning call. Those pronunciations were the ones we used on the day of. We assumed that you had provided us with the correct pronunciations during that call, but we later found out that a few of the pronunciations that you gave us were incorrect. We are sorry if this caused any frustration. We wish you two the best!

and had a great time! Regarding your concerns, we tried to get in touch with you multiple times to discuss them and figure out what happened, but we have not heard back via phone or email. We would like to get to the bottom of what happened and try to help make things right with you, so please reach back out to us. Regarding a song getting cut off, this is fairly common among DJs when we are mixing songs together. It is rare for any entire full song to get played. This is part of why people hire a DJ versus just renting a sound system and connecting a phone to it. That being said, you are always more than welcome to request us to play a particular song in its entirety if you prefer, but unfortunately I don't see those notes in your account anywhere regarding that song or any other songs.

letely satisfied with our services. We strive for perfection, and when we don’t meet that expectation, we feel disappointed in ourselves. Secondly, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review with your honest feedback as well as for sharing some of your positive comments too! That being said, most of your complaints regarding the music are things that could have been resolved had you alerted us during your wedding. Our staff in attendance (including one of our managers) said that they did not receive a single complaint from either of you all night. We really would have loved the opportunity to try and fix anything that upset you during the evening, had you alerted us at the time. We did indeed play all of the songs on your must-play list, so we are sorry that you feel otherwise. Your venue is very large with many different rooms, so it is possible you were in another room, using the restroom, outside, etc when some of the must-play songs were played. We are also a bit surprised that you said we played too much Latin music, considering you specifically requested a Spanish-speaking DJ during the booking process and you provided us with a playlist that had a bit over 50% Latin (Reggaeton mostly) music. The guests were very energetically dancing throughout the entire night, so we are not sure which guests you are referring to that complained there was too much Latin music - this is the first we are hearing about this though and we wish that one of you would have alerted us during the wedding that you wanted less Latin music or that you felt that some of your must play songs hadn’t been played, as we would have been happy to change up the playlist. Unfortunately with the layout of your venue (Cimiez Manor) it is incredibly difficult to achieve proper sound throughout the venue due to the non-standard layout of the historic house and outside grounds. It is broken out into MANY different rooms with guests split between all of them, in addition to the outside deck right next to the house AND the outside patio which is located 300ft from the house; all of this rather than the traditional wedding venue with a single large open ballroom or single large tent. Providing ample sound in every room and both outdoor areas at your venue is a truly difficult task that we warn our clients about during booking. Without the venue having a built-in sound system with speakers located in every single room (including the hallways where the restrooms are, the kitchen, the sitting rooms, etc) it’s nearly impossible to properly cover the entire venue. The “portable mic” you are referring to that worked well was during times when all guests were located outside on the patio and we were running an independent sound system out there. The announcements you are saying were muffled and hard to hear were the ones where our DJ was setup in a room inside the house that was located 3 rooms over and on the other side of the staircase from where you wanted to be introduced. Again, we try to explain these challenges to our clients during the booking process, and we have recommendations that we provide for how to achieve the best sound at Cimiez Manor, but if you don’t follow our advice then there simply is not much we can do. Regarding the first dance song starting 11 seconds into the song, we admit that that was an error on our end and we do truly apologize for this mistake. We now understand that you spent a lot of time practicing your first dance and we let you down. Due to our mistake specifically with regard to your first dance song, we have issued you a partial refund as a courtesy and token of apology. Once again, thank you for choosing Pulse and we are sorry that we couldn’t make your day 100% perfect. We wish you two the best and happiest life together.

aid, we want to point out that most of your claims in this review are false and slanderous. We are not going to address all of them as this rebuttal would get quite lengthy, but we want to address the major points below. We feel that, while we did make two mistakes during your wedding, you have used that against us to pile on every possible thing you can to this review. You claim that you wrote this review because you contacted us and never heard back. You emailed us with complaints, and then 2 days later (while we were trying to gather all of the facts and speak with our numerous staff who were at your wedding), you left a voicemail at our office outside of normal business hours saying you were being ignored. 30 minutes after you left us this after hours voicemail, you wrote this review. We apologize that we did not get back to you within these first 2 days, but almost all of our staff who work on the weekends do not also work during the week, so they are usually taking personal time off and are less available. We wanted to discuss the situation with everyone involved before speaking with you. We then called you to try and discuss your concerns, and you insisted that you wanted your money back in exchange for deleting your reviews. We do not pay our clients hush money to delete reviews. We want all reviews to be unbiased and honest. The microphone stopped working during the ceremony because your husband accidentally turned it off towards the end of his vows. We immediately checked all of our cables/connections, and then saw the microphone was off so there was not much more we could do at that point. The officiant realized what happened and turned the microphone back on as soon as your husband finished his vows a few seconds later. While we agree that this was unfortunate, this was not due to equipment failure on our part, and we think it would have been inappropriate for us to interrupt your husband’s vows. The speaker we set up for cocktail hour was ample to provide coverage for the entire area. We typically keep the volume on the lower side for cocktail hour and dinner, as to not interrupt conversations among guests. Had you, your husband, or your wedding planner asked for us to increase the volume, we would have been happy to oblige, but this is the first we are hearing about this. As far as the music selections go, you did provide us with a list of songs and we played the list almost in its entirety; however, most of the songs were more modern top 40/EDM songs meant for a younger audience, and the guests inside were older generations that were less into this type of music. The younger guests were all hanging around outside due to the beautiful weather that day, so the guests that would have been most responsive to the playlist you provided, were outside and not listening to the music we were playing inside. After we went through a large majority of your list, we decided to try playing some older music to get the older guests up and onto the dance floor, which you admitted to us via phone worked and got them dancing. Throughout the entire night, you and your husband never at any point came up to us and requested different music or expressed any dissatisfaction whatsoever. You also admitted this to us on the phone. It’s very difficult for us to know that you are unhappy unless you tell us, and had you come up to speak with us during the wedding about your concerns, we would have happily addressed them immediately. We do fully admit and accept the blame for two mistakes that occurred during your wedding: - The first mistake being that since few people had been dancing earlier in the evening, we accidentally announced after cake cutting (not at the beginning as you claim) that we were taking requests in hopes of getting more people on the dance floor, when you had indicated on your planning forms that you did not want requests taken. We realized our mistake and immediately corrected it, and then did not take any requests from guests…something which you then criticized us for in your complaint email saying we were not playing songs that various people came up and asked us for. You told us not to take requests, so we were following through with your instructions. - The second mistake was the ceremony processional song, in which you asked us for a specific version of a song (piano version) and we instead played the piano AND guitar version. We apologize for not clarifying this with you further, as we assumed we had the correct version since the version we played was from a popular movie soundtrack and had piano in it. Since there were two versions, we should have confirmed this with you, and for that we are truly sorry. We are once again sorry that you were not fully satisfied with our services. We did reach out to you to apologize for the mistakes that we accepted responsibility for, and we wish you two the best and happiest life together.
