Abbey is hands down he most incredible wedding planner. I can’t even begin to explain how perfect she was for our wedding day. We paid for month of coordination and the only thing I would have changed, is that we should have paid for the full package because she made every process SO easy, especially since we were planning an out of state wedding in Colorado living in Texas. A wedding planner is one of the first vendors you book, and you don’t realize how important they are until way later - don’t make this mistake. THEY ARE VITAL. And Abbey truly blew us away; vendors were on point, timing on everything was perfect, her recommendations saved our day and money multiple times. Every time I asked about something, it was already done - like she could read my mind! I am truly gushing over how thankful I am for her. Abbey (Purple Summer Events) came highly recommended by an old colleague one of my friends who had previously worked together at the Knot. There are a lot of wedding coordinators out there and it can be quite overwhelming to choose. Having only lived in Denver for a couple of years, I relied heavily upon recommendations and reviews. Abbey was one of the first vendors I locked in and it was clear from our first exchanges that she was someone I wanted on my side the day of my wedding. Abbey brought all of the pieces together, from ensuring my decor was set up as I envisioned, to keeping everything and everyone on schedule. Working with Abbey from PSE was an amazing experience. We had to postpone our initial wedding one year due to the pandemic, so we had the pleasure of working with Abbey for 2 whole years. I am not very much of the planner type, nor someone who enjoyed wedding planning, so I was super grateful for Abbey/PSE throughout. She is very patient, professional, responsive, kind, relaxed, experienced, and knowledgeable. She was able to recommend amazing vendors within the budget we gave to her -- I think all of our vendors we hired were based off of her recommendations, and our wedding was perfect and so much more than we could have ever dreamed of. Where do we even begin… Abbey is the absolute best! Our day was beyond perfect and it was all because of Abbey. She is so knowledgeable and has been planning weddings she will give you the best advice to help the day be everything you want it to be. She recommended vendors to use and not use, which made our wedding day what it was because we were so thankful for the recommendations she had for us. She is responsive and willing to help with anything during the planning process that came up. Rehearsal and wedding day she had everything under control and I was so calm knowing she was tackling any challenges that may have happened. Abbey is the person you want to hire for your wedding. Abbey is extremely talented, professional, creative and wonderful to work with. She has outstanding relationships with vendors, artists and venues around Colorado. Wedding planning can be very stressful, especially the weeks leading up to the big day, however, Abbey seamlessly took over all communication and responsibility without a hitch. There was also another level of complexity due to my husband and I planning a destination wedding in Vail (as we live in Chicago). It was advantageous to have boots on the ground and someone to help us navigate the whole process. Additionally, one of our top priorities for our initial planner search was to work with someone who overcommunicated and Abbey went beyond our expectations. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and Abbey truly made it happen. We can't thank her enough!

Our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without Abbey. If you're on the fence as to whether on not you should hire a coordinator for your event, trust us, you want to hire Purple Summer Events. Not only is Abbey extremely professional, easy to communicate with, and a design genius, she is also incredibly kind and goes above and beyond for her clients. As a bride impacted by COVID, we couldn't have asked for a better Coordinator to help us navigate through changed plans. We ended up moving our wedding from Colorado to California, but that didn't stop Abbey from making sure our day was perfect. She helped us create a timeline down to the second, answered all of our questions, did vendor research, the list goes on. One thing that really stood out, and something I didn't think I needed help on originally was design support. As a bride with a billion pins on Pinterest, Abbey took the time to understand my vision and make it into a cohesive plan. She even researched our rentals vendor catalog to help us pick out the items that would bring it to life. This was a task I underestimated and so appreciate Abbey's help on. Although they had only been living in Denver for four months when they got engaged, our daughter and her fiancé decided to get married in Denver. We were recommended to PSE by our wedding venue and it was the best advice we could have received. Abbey guided us in choosing all of our vendors which was invaluable because we were planning a wedding from out of state. We were extremely happy with all of the ones she did help us to choose. We hired Abbey / Purple Summer for Day-of Coordination for our daughter's summer wedding. She came to us via a recommendation from one of our daughter's friends. At the start, I was unsure we even needed a planner, but that turned into a very good decision for many reasons. Purple Summer's professionalism, diligence, follow-through, timeline knowledge, recommendations, cheat sheets, and more, were spot on throughout. They understood our approach and focused on our needs, not adding unnecessary items. All the attendees, including us, were glad for the suggestion to move inside when the weather took a turn. The speed and timing of that couldn't have been better. And, we got lots of comments that going inside was more intimate. It was a seamless transition for us and our guests. The day-of is certainly a long day, and Purple Summer's reminders starting around 3 months out were helpful. Purple Summer's knowledge of the venue, being able to help in multiple locations at the venue and work with the vendors as they came to set up allowed me (the mom of the bride) to focus on the day, not the set ups. Given their help, I recommended that Purple Summer be added to the preferred planner list where we had the wedding. They were great for us, and I recommend them.

When my husband and I chose our venue, we were told that we had to hire a Day-Of Coordinator in order to have our wedding there. We thought "eh, okay, seems extraneous but we'll do some research and find someone," and looked around and settled on Abbey at Purple Summer Events after speaking to her on the phone. WOW were we totally off-base in thinking a DOC was extraneous, Abbey was indispensable throughout the entire wedding planning process!! Even though we had only hired her as a Day-Of Coordinator, she was so helpful in the months leading up to the wedding. Both my husband and I help run the family business and work a ton, so I was particularly stressed out at some points with wedding planning...but every time I sent an email to Abbey asking for vendor recommendations or the like, I felt a sense of calm because I knew that she was completely on top of things, and so capable. On the actual wedding day, I felt so calm, and I attribute a good amount of that to Abbey! She checked in on my throughout the day, and had everything covered (even when we had a hilariously last-minute table number debacle haha!). She was everywhere and making sure everything was going smoothly and on-time throughout the day. I can't say enough good things about her, or over-exaggerate how pivotal she was to making our wedding perfect, and keeping both David and I super calm on our wedding day. Looking back, even if we hadn't had to hire a DOC for the wedding, I would have hired Abbey, she is amazing!!!

We hired Abbey as our day-of coordinator and it was the best money we spent on our wedding. In all the work that leads up to planning a wedding it can be stressful and chaotic. It can get lost in all the planning how the day will actually come together but Abbey made everything run smoothly and it was stress free! With Abbey's help she made our day amazing. We hired Abbey & Purple Summer Events to help with design coordination and day-of coordination. I initially found PSE listed in Denver's A-List. I loved the vibe of her site and ended up having a great initial phone call with her. Abbey was instrumental in providing vendor recommendations for everything we requested based on our budget and style, including photographer, caterer, vintage dress designer, etc. Her design questionnaire for us resulted in her putting together a style guide that was so incredible and spot-on. Even though we weren't initially thinking like she was, we ended up matching the guide almost exactly as we continued to put all of the pieces together. I am a planner by nature and I was really excited for the opportunity to plan my wedding, but as we got more and more into the planning and closer and closer to the date, we were so incredibly happy to have made the decision to have Abbey involved in the process. It was relieving for us to know that she was in complete control of all of the day-off details with the vendors and venue, and we could just focus on our big day and our families. As my cousin said the next morning, "Whatever you paid for your planner, it was well worth it." And I couldn't agree more. Our wedding ended up being absolutely perfect and even better than we imagined, and it was all because Abbey provided us the vendors and support we needed to put it all together perfectly.

Abbey of Purple Summer Events is the absolute best. My (now) husband and I went with the full planning package and were blown away by Abbey’s knowledge, creativity, organization, passion, and dedication. Planning a wedding can be stressful and with the hundreds of wedding vendors in Denver and Colorado. Choosing one photographer, caterer, florist, venue, etc. can be extremely daunting. Abbey’s knowledge, contacts, and relationships with other vendors made this a breeze! After listening to our input on style, budget, and other variables, Abbey would recommend 3-5 vendors in each category, allowing us to do some research on them before deciding on favorites that we wanted to move forward with. We never felt pressured to choose certain vendors, and if we wanted more options, Abbey was always quick to provide more recommendations. That said, in almost all areas, we did end up going with Abbey’s recommendations as the vendors / people she works with most are like her: the BEST, creative, passionate, and wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend Abbey and Purple Summer Events more to anyone planning a wedding. She made the entire process of wedding planning fun and less stressful. Our day ended up being The. Best. Day. Ever. (cliché, but true). Abbey helped bring to life our vision of a fun, beautiful, relaxed, outdoor Colorado wedding. I can’t imagine going through this process without her – she is extremely organized, an excellent and quick communicator, and most importantly she cares SO DEEPLY for her clients and making their wedding day the best day of their lives.

Abbey was one of the first vendors we decided on, and we couldn't be more grateful for all she did leading up to and on the day of our wedding. We married 5/12/18 at the Lyons Farmette - and from the beginning Abbey had excellent recommendations to help build out our stellar vendor team. We planned the wedding from a distance (living in MI, married in CO) and she made that transition seamless. I am a pretty type-A person... I must have made a hundred lists and spreadsheets and diagrams preparing for the wedding - all this to say, even though I am fairly organized, I truly couldn't imagine doing it all without Abbey's help, especially after the walkthrough. There were an enormous amount of logistics and small details that I was so grateful she could take care of for us! I could focus on getting the families organized, and Abbey kept our vendors updated. Not least worth mentioning, Bret and I really enjoyed our wedding day - Abbey arrived to the venue the same time we did, pulled the team together and made everything beautiful, even with inclement weather. If anything went awry, I am still none the wiser! On top of all this, she's a joy to work with - clever and smart and kind and funny. Some of the most valuable money we spent during the wedding season. Call her, hire her, your wedding and your whole life during wedding season will be better for it!

I got married on 8/5/17 in the CO mountains. I was planning from out of state, and Abbey was absolutely essential. She recommended all of my vendors (all of whom were great), she created all my timelines, and was just overall really great to work with. Some examples of how good she is at her job: Less than a week before my wedding I decided I did want a wedding cake after all. Abbey got it done. Two days before the wedding my mom and I thought that some hung bistro lights in the reception room would look nice. She got it done! She was incredible of the day of too. I didn't have to worry about anything. If anything went wrong that day, I never found out. My mom has said multiple times that hiring Abbey was the best money we spent on the wedding, and my husband and I 100% agree.

As the Father of the bride, I can honestly say that Abbey made my life as stress free and simple as it cold be when planning a wedding. She took care of all the the "emergencies" that always occur last minute, so I would not have to stress over it. She also stayed pretty much in budget, which is a challenge unto itself. Erik and I had the sanity-saving privilege of working with Purple Summer Events for our destination wedding in Colorado last year and I credit them for assisting me through all hurdles planning a long-distance wedding can throw at a bride! I went with the Day-Of-Wedding package, yet Abbey checked in monthly leading up to the wedding and gave wonderful recommendations for hair, flowers, photography, etc. Kelly took over in the 30 Days prior to the wedding to calm me through frustrating issues with my venue and on the day of, she ensured everything flowed smoothly and looked beautiful! We hired Abbey and Kelly for our day of planning. Kelly was our coordinator and did an amazing job. Everyone felt confident in where they were supposed to be and what they were supposed to be doing. Our only regret is not hiring them for full planning. We were very busy with moving and work before the wedding and underestimated how much work it would take to organize and coordinate everything. Once Kelly stepped in, we felt huge relief and knew we were in good hands. Abbey was incredible helpful before the wedding with vendor recommendations and navigating some complex venue issues. Pick Purple Summer Events. You will not be disappointed. Abbey & Purple Summer were absolute ROCKSTARS for our wedding at Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, CO in August 2017. We live in Texas and picked Colorado, state-unseen. We wanted to get married in the mountains and “just knew” Colorado was the place! Immediately, we were in need of a planner who knew the area and could provide high-quality service and help us plan the wedding of our dreams -- we wanted a light art deco theme, tailored to a mountain setting, and we were also looking for a reasonable price for a planner. Further, we were interested in incorporating Jewish traditions into our wedding, and wanted a planner who could navigate this with respect and enthusiasm. When it comes to selecting any service, we are meticulous. I did extensive research, I catalogued everything I found, and I weighed all the results…choosing to each other was the #1 important choice we made about our wedding, and a selecting the right wedding planner was #2. I researched a dozen of the top planners in Colorado, interviewed 4, and selected Abbey. She was lightyears ahead of everyone else because she was committed to the highest level of care, while also being kind and down-to-earth. We wanted a wedding that combined luxurious and rustic elements, so we needed someone who could relate to both sides. She does. Here’s what you need to know from our planning experience with Abbey: she was on-time, responsive, thorough, and adaptable, every time. To say that we couldn’t have done it without Purple Summer Events would be an understatement. From the moment I first contacted Abbey, she was immediately available for recommendations, even though 1) we hadn’t even cut her first payment and 2) we only hired Purple Summer Events to be our day of coordinators. While we were initially skeptical about needing a wedding planner (who wants the extra cost?), we realized that we were able to relax and truly enjoy the time leading up to and during our wedding. We had the privilege to work with both Abbey & Kelly and have Kelly as our day-of-coordinator for our September mountain wedding! My wife and I hired Abbey for our wedding this summer and it was definitely one of the best wedding decisions we could have made! We were planning the wedding from half way across the country while both working busy internships so we knew we would need a lot of help keeping on track. Abbey was with us every step of the way to make sure we kept on track with monthly checklists and tasks. We wanted to make sure that our wedding felt unique to us and Abbey helped us find so many wonderful local vendors that we never would have come across without her help and knowledge. Not only did she save us hours of searching but made sure to find vendors that fit our vision and created a truly unique wedding day. Probably most importantly though was how Abbey managed everything on the day of the wedding. One of our main goals was for us and our families to feel like guests not workers on our wedding day and Abbey definitely made sure we felt that way. We had boxes full of decor and DIY projects and she took care of getting them all set up how we wanted that morning. One of our most special memories during the day was after the ceremony when Abbey tucked us away in bridal suite (glamping tent) so that we could have a few minutes alone as newlyweds. She had cocktails and a plate of appetizers ready for us as well. The short time we were able have along as husband and wife is one of the many examples of how Abbey focused not just on the big picture but also on all of the little moments throughout the day that made it a truly magical event. We were so happy with how everything came together and there is no way we could have pulled everything off without Abbey's help. Hiring her was one of the most important decisions we made in the process.

I am SO happy we chose Purple Summer Events! I was nervous at first because I knew Kelly was new to the company so there weren't many reviews to go off of. Abbey assured me that Kelly would be great, and she was more than correct! From the moment I met Kelly, she started taking tasks off my plate. Things I didn't even know I was allowed to ask other people to help with were suddenly taken care of. She had an amazing attitude throughout everything, even when (unbeknownst to me) my groom lost his ring 20 minutes after the ceremony. What can I say about our planner Abbey? Not only did she actually understand my vision (as strange as it was) but she executed it with grace and efficiency, When problems arose (inevitable) , she became a macgyver, stealthy fixing the problems only to return to me to tell me I looked lovely. If you are getting married and want a planner that takes the time to get to know you and put your dream flawlessly into fruition......Abbey from Purple Summer Events is golden. My only regret is that I won't get to talk to her as much any more 🙁

We worked with Kelly for our wedding in September, and she was an absolute delight to work with. We went with month-of package and it was absolutely worth it for Kelly to take over our vendor emails a month out - it relieved so much stress! From the first time we met Kelly in person during our site walk through, we knew she was going to be awesome - she made us feel like we had things under control, helped us ask all the right questions, and was super organized! She always responded to my emails in a timely manner and was available to chat through any last minute questions we had. We had sort of a complicated day-of logistics plan given our ceremony site was up in the mountains and our reception was in Denver, but Kelly was on top of everything and helped us come up with a very specific timeline...and the day went without a hitch. She was so lovely and both of our families thought she was such a pleasure to work with. I've been around some rigid wedding planners that take their jobs way too seriously and are not pleasant with guests or the bridal party, but Kelly and PSE are not that at all! They make sure everything is perfect and have fun while doing it!

Truly amazing! We were planning our wedding ourselves but needed someone to step in the day of and over see it and tie everything together so that we did not have to worry or stress on the day of our wedding. We spoke with several other event planners and while all seemed nice none stood out above the rest. After my phone call with Abbey we knew we didn't have to look further. She understood exactly what we wanted and needed. She took all of the planning and coordinating we had done prior and stepped in and made it all come to life without a single worry on our end.

To me, the mark of a good day-of coordinator is that you aren't really sure of what they did, exactly. And yet...your event runs smoothly and on time. And that kind of thing never "just happens"at an event without a ton of work involved. During the wedding planning process, Abbey was always responsive, positive, and honest with her feedback. When I needed her to do some extra work for me with vendor research, she delivered thorough results which helped me make an informed decision. She was always calm, cool, and level-headed with my slightly neurotic questions, which I always appreciated! I also never sensed a hint of judgement for my decisions to not do x or y. During set up on the day-of, Abbey executed my vision and exceeded my expectations in making everything look just so lovely. You can trust her to adapt to scenarios you may not anticipate. When something I had wanted (my bridal bouquet on our sweetheart table) just didn't look quite right, she found an alternative that was just as beautiful. And at the end of the night, she handled the exit of vendors, the storing of our precious extra alcohol, and our valuable gift envelopes...without me being aware of any of it. Abbey made it possible for us to just enjoy ourselves and not think twice about logistics. My only regret is not hiring her for her in more of a full-time planning role. I planned my wedding out of state while holding a full time, high-pressure job, and it was way harder than I thought it would be. But since hiring your coordinator is one of the first things you do...I didn't really have perspective on costs for things so I felt like i HAD to choose just the day-of. Looking back, when I think of all the stress-fights I could have saved with my husband, I just kick myself over not just hiring Abbey to just handle everything for me! Thank you, Abbey, you did a fantastic job!

Abbey is wonderful. I would tell any bride that's thinking of getting married in or near the Denver are to give her a call. She offers multiple packages depending on how much help you need and her packages are all reasonably priced. I live in Dallas and decided to have my wedding in Denver, so I needed a lot of help and went for the full service package. Abbey was so laid back, fun, and super professional through the whole process. What impressed me the most is she took the time to get to know me and my fiance and she listened to what we wanted. She created a concept design that perfectly matched the look and feel of the wedding we wanted and included some personal elements. All of her vendor recommendations were spot on - this was key since I had to make a lot of decisions based on pictures and online reviews alone. Abbey would give me her top 3 based on budget and style, and we would go from there. We did most of our communication over e-mail. She was very prompt in answering all of my questions and gave me her honest opinion when I asked. If I was struggling with making a decision, she would talk me through the pros and cons but was never forceful or pushy. I felt good about every decision I made. The wedding itself was flawless. I enjoyed myself the entire day and never had to worry about anything. Abbey was busy behind the scenes getting everything set up, but she popped in the bridal suite several times to make sure we were all taken care of - and offer a crochet hook from her tool belt when it came time to put the dress on. Several of my guests came up to me after the wedding to tell me how impressed they were with Abbey's professionalism and how hard she worked through the entire night. Thank you Abbey and Purple Summer Events for creating such a beautiful wedding and making the whole day so special for me and Jon.

Abbey TRULY went above and beyond for our wedding. We are both "Type A" personalities and I was immediately won over by Abbey's demeanor. I met with many wedding planners beforehand and she was the shining star. I wanted someone who would let me be involved with the designing process of the wedding but take care of all of the rest of the details I didn't have time for, didn't know to pay attention to or was indifferent about. Abbey presented us with several options for how involved we wanted her to be. They were all priced incredibly well (perhaps she should even charge more!). Once we selected tag, she showed us a ver organized schedule of what decisions needed to be made when, etc. We were presented a variety of vendors to pick from and even suggested some of our own. The contract process was super easy as she handled most of the communications with vendors. We had some issues with being passed around at our venue and Abbey came to the rescue to eliminate any stress on our side. When the big day came, things were seamless. Abbey took over dealing with everyone so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. We did not have ONE issue on our wedding day. I can't say enough about Purple Summer Events. I highly recommend them to use as wedding and event planners. Five Stars!!!!
