We absolutely loved working with Putting On The Ritz for our wedding on September 29, 2024 at the Baltimore Museum of industry. From the very beginning, Putting On The Ritz was responsive, attentive, creative, and so willing to help our dreams of the food and vision for our wedding come true. We loved that they were a family owned business, and the owner made an effort to get to know us, and was even present at our special day! On top of taking care of all of the food, linens, and table settings they also connected us to their day of coordinator Mariah Hamilton, who is absolutely amazing. She jumped right in to making our wedding such a special day. She had a commanding presence, was respectful, was so fun to be around, and knew what she was doing. We are so grateful to Mariah and the whole Putting On The Ritz team for helping to make our day the best day of our lives. We absolutely recommend to any couple looking for a caterer for their wedding. Thank you so much!

Couldn’t have went with a better catering company! We used Putting on the Ritz for our rehearsal dinner and our wedding. Mila and Mindy were an absolute joy to work with and took care of us every step of the way. We had a buffet for our rehearsal dinner and a played meal for the wedding. At both events our guests were completely blown away - thank you for everything!

We highly recommend Putting on the Ritz for any event, but specifically for weddings!! Mariah was super easy to work with throughout the whole process and made the planning seamless. It was so nice to have our caterer, linens, china, and day of coordinator all wrapped into one. The food was AMAZING, the staff were all so kind and hardworking, and the linens/china were gorgeous. They made it all look so easy! We will definitely use POTR for any future events and recommend them to all of our friends!

We hired POTR to cater our wedding at Josephine Butler Parks Center at the beginning of November 2024 and I was completely blown away by their service from the time we contacted them a year ago through clean up at the end of the night. POTR was stellar and flawless in every step of the way. We initially worked with Mila, who was responsive, professional and so helpful in helping us decide a menu. Planning a menu and catering for 150 people with different dietary needs but also staying within budget was no easy task. Mila presented us with a few options, and we chose a buffet with both meat and vegetarian options, as well as an antipasto display for cocktail hour. When we went in for the tasting, the food was amazing. We selected the top round, sesame chicken, portobello mushroom pasta, roast veggies, and mashed potatoes for our buffet, but we had such a difficult time deciding what to select because it was all so tasty. For the last three months leading up to the wedding, we ended up working with Bobby Mitchell and he was also phenomenal. When we did the walk through, he answered all of our questions (we had a lot) gave us advice on what would be the best seating arrangements, where to place the buffet, the best table sizes for the setups, and he even helped recommend contrasting colors for a few of the tablecloths and it looked amazing (we are so glad we took his advice!). His knowledge was invaluable and he was readily answered the phone when we had questions. Within two weeks of the wedding, I requested a change to the vegetarian option (we ended up going with the butternut squash ravioli) and they were happy to accommodate. We didn’t try it at the tasting, but since the food was delicious, we were confident it would be good. It ended up being a hit at our wedding—people loved the ravioli, which sat on top of spaghetti squash. It was so good—even the non-vegetarians raved about it! On the day of the wedding, POTR knocked it out of the park. They were on time, set up everything flawlessly and efficiently. During our cocktail hour, Bobby brought us up a plate of food from the antipasto display (the tortellini are delicious!) and drinks to make sure we ate. We also heard compliments from the guests that the antipasto was so good and delicious. Also, since our venue was a tight space, we ended up using the same room for the ceremony. POTR turned it around within an hour. I wish I took photos of the room because it was beautiful! During dinner, Bobby brought us plates of food to make sure we ate, which was invaluable since one of the tips we have gotten several times is to make sure you eat at your wedding. When it came time for clean up, they were the pros. They broke everything down, cleaned it all up, and were done within an hour. Bobby also gave us extra food that was not served (we ordered extra just in case) and he had it packed up neatly and ready for us to go at the end of the night. We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing caterer. Bobby is phenomenal and POTR has delicious food, is professional, and they clearly know what they are doing. I can’t sing their praises enough. If you are looking for an amazing caterer, look no further. POTR will impress you and, true to their name, they will be “putting on the ritz” for you. We are so grateful for POTR making our day extra special!

We were extremely disappointed with the service provided by Putting on the Ritz Caterers for our wedding. The entire experience was marred by their complete lack of communication and carelessness with our special day. From the start, we were not assigned a main point of contact, which led to a chaotic and frustrating planning process. Despite contracting their services about eight months before the wedding, they ignored multiple emails containing pertinent information about our event. When they did respond, their communication was curt and blunt, adding unnecessary confusion to an already stressful process. What was even more infuriating was that different representatives from the company kept asking us questions about topics that had already been discussed in detail. This not only showed a lack of organization but also a lack of respect for the time and effort we had put into planning. As a vendor that was forced upon us, they completely failed to do their due diligence. They didn't even cross-reference the details of our contract with the venue, despite being on the venue's preferred list. On the day of the wedding, all of our previous planning discussions seemed to have been disregarded. We were asked the same questions again, as if nothing had been communicated beforehand. To make matters worse, we were assigned a stranger to handle any questions or concerns during the event, someone who had no prior knowledge of our wedding plans. The worst part of all was that their staff threw away not one but two of the most expensive dish at our reception without any prior authorization from anyone. Dishes that my wife's sister had spent countless hours preparing. This careless action was the final straw in a series of disappointments. If you enjoy headaches and stress Putting on the Ritz Caterers is the perfect match. They were unprofessional, disorganized, and completely out of touch with the needs of their clients.

We were so grateful to find Putting on the Ritz for the wedding! The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent :) the catering staff made us as a couple feel special and taken care of on our wedding day. They made sure to bring us dinner and drinks and always check in on us. We had a buffet and an ice cream bar and we enjoyed all the food! It was full service, including alcohol, for a reasonable price for 100 guests. We did so much research and could not find a better all-in-one catering service! We highly recommend partaking in their food tasting option to pick out exactly what you want for your menu. Our point of contact, Mariah, was fun and kind to work with and extremely passionate about her job! We would recommend them for your wedding :)

POTR catering was incredible, they were so professional, kind, the food was great, and they were so easy to work with. They were so reasonably priced for the services they provided and we couldn’t imagine another company doing a better job with our day.

Putting on the Ritz is the best wedding food we have ever had! The whole team was amazing and attentive to us the entire time and made sure we were happy with everything. So many of our guests complimented the food and said it was the best they've ever had too! The salmon, chicken, and steak were cooked perfectly! Definitely recommend!!

Claudia was amazing to work with! She made suggestions to get us to where we need to be budget-wise. We did stations and the food was truly delicious at each one! We had a minor issue with one of the catering staff on the day of, but our coordinator managed it. However, overall the experience was great and I'd still be happy to work with them again!

We had gone to a party that Putting on the Ritz was catering for long before we got engaged, and we knew immediately that when we got married we wanted to have them cater. And they did not disappoint! Mariah was excellent to work with and made sure all the details were cared for. All the day-of staff were professional and so nice. And the food was all INCREDIBLE. 100% recommend!

We can’t say enough good things about Putting on the Ritz Catering! We thought the food was wonderful and afterwards all of our friends and family were telling us how much they enjoyed the food (truly the brisket was fantastic and the starters were delicious). They did a wonderful job helping us craft a menu, plated everything in a timely manner (especially important as we had a large wedding) and made sure everyone left satisfied no matter their food restrictions.  From our first meeting with Claudia, we were impressed with her professionalism. At the tasting/meeting everything was amazing and we were immediately impressed with the quality of the food and knowledge of the staff. We had a great feeling about them and they had better food and lower prices than another companies we had visited and researched. Claudia was so wonderful to work with and responded promptly and thoroughly to all of our emails. She helped us map out our schedule for the wedding and because she was familiar with our venue, she helped us make the best of our layout and what was in our contract. We are so grateful to her! Absolutely STELLAR food. Everyone loved it, even my super-picky chef friend (who would have been bluntly honest if she didn't). The salmon and broccolini were especially spectacular, and it's definitely worth splurging extra for apps. My only regret is that the food was SO tasty I got too full to have more than a bite of cake. Putting on the Ritz has been around for a long time (my godmother actually had them cater for her own wedding more than 20 years ago) and has a huge menu to choose from. I definitely recommend having a tasting and not choosing anything that you didn't taste--we ended up having two tastings to find the full range of everything we wanted (five apps, three buffet entrees, one veg, one starch) because while most of the food was AMAZING, a few of the options were lackluster. Definitely taste first! Mariah was so great. She even sneakily filmed my wedding ceremony and grand entrance to send to me afterwards, so I have multiple angles of it now!

We picked putting on the Ritz for their flexibility as well as diversity of food. We appreciated that we weren’t tied to a specific minimum and could change anything that we wanted up until about 2 to 3 weeks before the wedding which was very helpful as we did have to make several changes. We found all of the staff to be professional and courteous at the venue and we particularly enjoyed meeting and working with our day of event coordinator Hector. The food turned out even better than our tasting, and we especially appreciated the option to provide our own alcohol as about 50% of our guests did not drink and we were also able to provide our own desserts which they gladly served for us.

Putting on the Ritz provided food, tables, chairs, and attentive wait staff and bartenders who all added to our wedding day! The food was all delicious, and Putting on the Ritz provided vegan and dairy-free options for our guests who needed it! Multiple guests complimented the food, the attentiveness of the staff, and the signature cocktails at our wedding bar. The Putting on the Ritz staff also worked at our venue many times before and provided us with thoughtful advice about the layout of the space and what worked best. We recommend booking with them!

The Rtiz was on for our wedding day! Being 100% transparent, we weren’t completely sold at first because our venue had a set list of vendors to work with. Putting on the Ritz was in our budget but we weren’t sure it would fit for us. After a few challenges in communication we did meet. We had a delicious first taste test and a 2nd taste test to verify our choices. They also have a great set of options for linens and a lot of patience to find just the right combination. Our only complaint would be that they changed our direct contact just a few months before the wedding without communicating with us until the day of our walkthrough with a new liaison. The good news is that he was a veteran with the Ritz and knew what all we needed to have a successful night. Of all of the parts of our wedding- Putting on the Ritz was THE BEST. Food was served in a timely manner, the venue was put together perfectly as requested, and the portion sizes were great! I would recommend Putting on the Ritz, and would encourage open communication for a smooth event.

Everyone LOVED the food at our reception; people are still reaching out trying to collaboratively figure out how to recreate their honey almond encrusted chicken! The antipasto display was beautiful, and the servers were beyond lovely throughout the night. We were blown away by the professionalism and quality of the food right from our tasting. The company is very flexible about allowing you to supplement bar package; we brought in some Irish cream to go with our coffee bar and some champagne for the head table. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone in the area!

POTR was really wonderful. The food was delicious, and they accommodated our 170 person wedding quite well. They provided kids meals, high chairs, cake cutting supplies, and even a complimentary dessert! We really enjoyed our reception with them.

ETHNIC EVENT EXPERIENCED & AMAZING SERVICE! POTR & Bobby are THE people to work with for all your event service needs. Bobby went above and beyond to accommodate our south asian event and work hand in glove with our ethnic caterer. The planning for our 2 day 4-5 events was complex to say the least and Bobby was a fantastic mediator to ensure we could host a successful event. He put our caterer, venue and planner at ease with his level of competence and adaptability/flexibility. The level of professionalism POTR displays is incredible. They were always on point and ready to serve, clean up or help with whatever we needed. I would 100% recommend POTR as the most fairly priced and enjoyable team to work with. We are so grateful for their hard work, dedication to excellence, and would use them again anyday!

Putting on the Ritz was fantastic for our spring 2022 DC wedding! Starting from the tasting, I could tell they were very accommodating and customer-service oriented. I really wanted to taste their mac n cheese (being from Wisconsin I'm very picky about it!) and they let me come back for a second tasting just for the mac n cheese alone; needless to say it tasted amazing! They worked so well with our venue and were easy to communicate with. Neil was our point person at first (wonderful guy), but he ended up leaving for another job a few months before our wedding. We were nervous about having another catering manager who was new, but Debra pulled it off 100% and everything was wonderful! My biggest selling points for this caterer were (1) very reasonable price for what you get and (2) amazing taste of the food, especially the apps!! Beyond that they were friendly, easy to work with and professional! Would recommend to anyone getting married in the area!

Putting on the Ritz was amazing! They were very well priced and provided delicious food and wonderful service! The catering staff was helpful and friendly as were their bartenders. POTR answered all our questions throughout the process and was incredibly accommodating for all our requests no matter how weird. If I had to do it over, I would definitely hire them again!!

Putting on the Ritz was amazing. All of our guests loved the food (particularly the s'mores cupcakes and key lime pies!) and the waitstaff were incredible. Their coordinator, Cassie, does a great job of keeping in touch with you to ensure you are getting everything you hope for from your meal. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with POTR. Neil was easy to work with and made sure everything was set up correctly the day of. They had everything set up well in advance of our ceremony exactly as we had discussed. Our guests gave great reviews about the food and said it was some of the best wedding food they've had!

POTR food was DELICIOUS! Not only did my partner and I think it was so good, but so many guests have been telling us about how impressed they were with the food! My husband and I chose POTR to cater our wedding reception. From the beginning, Neil was highly responsive. Our tasting was wonderful -- it was a pleasure to meet with Neil and try the awesome selections. As we continued on in this process, Neil worked hard to help us with our ideal reception. His guidance and patience while we figured all the details out together was much appreciated. On the day of the reception, Denise was amazing and on top of everything. She really helped pull our vision together and kept everything on track. The rest of the staff were wonderful too -- we noticed their attentiveness and everyone was so friendly and made our reception a success. We were also lucky enough to meet the owner, Bobby!! He was lovely to talk to and funny. We truly are grateful for everyone involved that helped make that night that much more spectacular. We had a wonderful experience with Putting on the Ritz. Our wedding was postponed multiple times due to COVID and they stuck with us through it all. We had a Zoom meeting with Neil to go over the menu and layout and then met in person to finalize details as the wedding got closer. On the actual wedding day, we were so impressed with the whole crew that arrived, from those setting up, passing the appetizers, the bartenders, to the servers. All were very professional and a pleasure to work with. The setup of the room looked beautiful. The food was delicious, and they even packed up the leftovers for us to take home and enjoy for days after.

Putting on the Ritz was absolutely incredible. Doing a wedding during the pandemic is not easy, and they worked with us so much! The guests couldn't stop talking about how good the good tasted and Putting on the Ritz even created a special sauce for the steak when we didn't want the original one. Do yourself a favor and boom them!

Where do I even begin....Putting on the Ritz was the perfect caterer for our wedding! I would recommend them for anyone and any sort of event. Neil was our main contact and thank goodness for him! He answered at least 20 emails a week from me (I didn't have a wedding planner and wasn't sure about lots of details), he offered a more than generous tasting (with full sized portions), and was quick to fulfill any request. I wish I could give Neil 10 stars! The staff the night of was also amazing. They checked in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was going well and were more accommodating to anything we needed. The food was delicious and so fresh (we even did a buffet) and they served all our dessert for us even though we did not order it all from them. I look forward to using them in the future!

The food turned out exactly how we wanted and we have received positive reviews from our guests. Due to pictures, we missed cocktail hour, but we heard the bruschetta table and the passed hors d'oeuvres were probably the best part of the food served.

Bobby and his staff were all very nice to us throughout the planning process, but he was difficult to work with. His emails were often unintelligible and it was sometimes tough to get a response. We felt we had to initiate almost all of the conversations about logistics between the time we signed our contract and the week before the wedding. Once we hit the week before the wedding, Bobby was clearly more focused and ultimately everything came together and the food was good. Bobby clearly has a lot of experience and knows what he is doing, but the whole process was more frustrating and stressful than it needed to be.

Overall, we were pleased with both the quality and service at POTR. Our guests loved the food and the set-up looked wonderful! They take care of setting up any items you need them to, but I chose to have an onsite coordinator to handle that. You will work with a sales manager and then have an onsite banquet captain. Claudia who were worked with was very patient and answered emails quickly and always answered every question. We had a very nice tasting and even though we did stations/buffet they allowed us to sample the different items so we could get a sense of the quality! I work in the wedding industry so I think I was being a harder critic throughout the day whereas my guests thought it was exceptional! I think overall it matched the price range the caterer fell into. A few hiccups - there was a little mix-up with the alcohol that put a few of my friends and family in a rush before we started to make it right but it got sorted out. I also think the service was a little sloppy as well. I gave our sales coordinator our specific meal and my husband got what he requested but unfortunately, I did not. I know we were on a "watch weekend" where they are fully booked, so perhaps good talent was just spread thin! I did feel like the original proposal included what we asked for and in our budget but then every small change was an up-charge or additional cost. So one piece of advice - I think before signing off, make sure the proposal is where you'd like it to be!! Since we were trying to stay within a certain budget, we were just limited with changes.

Really loved working with Claudia as a partner during our wedding planning and wedding day experience. From the beginning, Claudia helped answer all of our questions (no matter how detailed or abstract) extremely quickly and efficiently. She and her team helped make our wedding venue so beautiful and accommodated custom décor and requests with a smile. Putting on the Ritz was clearly the caterer we wanted for our wedding. I emailed 5 caterers when trying to decide on who to have cater our wedding reception, and they were the best about working with our budget. We gave them a little input on some must-have foods (like crab) and they whipped up a delicious-sounding menu under the budget that we requested—and they could make everything gluten-free so the groom and his mother would be able to eat everything offered at the wedding! Claudia was easy to work with and very responsive to emails, even when there were a few bumps in the road with the guest list. Everyone enjoyed the food at the wedding, and the service at the wedding was great. We had a very short ceremony but the staff kept things moving quickly so everyone had their food and time to eat in the hour between being seated and the champagne toast. We also appreciated Claudia working with is on the open bar—we really wanted a coffee liquor that was available with their top-tier liquor package, but we couldn’t pay the top-tier price. Putting on the Ritz allowed us to pay for the medium-tier package and bring them a couple of unopened bottles of the liquor we requested for the wedding. They were accommodating to all our requests and we couldn’t have asked for more from our food!

Wow, we’re so I even begin? Working with POTR has been an absolute dream and pleasure. Claudia was always so helpful and quick to answer my many emails, calls, etc. the staff that worked our wedding were wonderful, always checking in to give me food and water as I danced the night away as a new bride. The food was AMAZING. My guest raved about it and went back to seconds and thirds (we had a Buffet). The ice cream sundae bar was a huge hit, and the late night soft pretzel snacks were everyone’s favorite! I would highly highly recommend this team to anyone planning an event!

After looking at several caterers, I was ecstatic to find that POTR not only had a stations/cocktail hour menu that featured variety and fun on the front page of their website! We scheduled a tasting and loved everything we tasted. We also were thrilled that they sent home the left overs with us! They also sent home leftovers with us on the night of the wedding which was great. POTR is reasonably priced compared to many other caterers and it did not impact the quality of their service or food. Guests are still talking about how they loved the variety of food stations and dessert display! Would recommend.

I need to see the big picture. I had a mock centerpiece setting and she had a few items as well for me to play around with. We did not want traditional wedding food for our day. In fact, we went a very different direction and wanted to have breakfast for dinner for our big day. POTR delivered a perfect breakfast buffet that everyone could enjoy. The Captain Crunch French Toast they made was AMAZING. It made for the perfect main course for a breakfast for dinner meal. Plus, who doesn’t love bacon?! Their servers were also amazing. Always checking in on us and always making sure our glasses were full. The bar also served drinks that complimented our breakfast menu with Irish coffee and mimosas. They were able to accommodate all of our needs for the perfect breakfast for dinner wedding and we could not recommend them more.

We hired Putting on the Ritz as the caterer for our wedding at Gramercy Mansion in June of 2019. The process leading up to the wedding was great, we planned our menu and seating arrangement through Claudia. Claudia provided us a back up plan in case of the rain and met with us to go through the entire schedule and was very responsive to our emails and questions. The day of we had Denise assigned to us as our day of manager. Denise is the absolute best!!! She is so kind, upbeat, and positive and made sure that our day went smoothly. The food was amazing, and all of our guests were raving about it the next day.

We went with this caterer as the house caterer for our venue (Historic Savage Mill Manor House) and everything worked out perfectly! Our event planner, Rae, could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable! She was very responsive and worked with us through a couple of menu changes and changes to the drink menu. She opened the house early so me and my matron of honor could get dressed in private in an unhurried atmosphere. The food was awesome -- lots of selections to choose from including gluten-free options. Everyone raved about the food. And the cupcakes were a smash! 5 BIG stars from both us for this caterer!!

Wow! We found Putting on the Ritz through our wedding venue (Belmont Manor). When we told the venue that we had booked with Bobby and Putting on the Ritz, they said that we had nothing to worry about and that they would do a phenomenal job. My new hubby and I didn't truly know what that meant until the wedding, and boy was it true! First off, Bobby and his team are so professional and flexible. At our tasting, we made some special requests...less bacon (who would say such a thing?), having meat on the side rather than incorporated in the dish, and changing up the alcohol options. Bobby was responsive and able to oblige all of our requests. We decided to do stations during the reception and were so happy with the result. My husband and I were totally fine with the thought of going to get our food, but Bobby's team continued to serve us throughout the night. They checked on us often and even snuck our cake plates onto our table. My hubby and I had never put much thought into wedding food, but were amazed at how many compliments we got. My vegetarian family and friends raved over our Mediterranean table that was a change from the typical vegetarian wedding fare. Guests kept coming back for the shrimp and grits table too. Even days later, we still are getting guests telling us how much they enjoyed the food. Bobby and his team are so professional and flexible. They were able to make my vision come to life and I am beyond impressed! If you want delicious food that your guests can't stop talking about, Putting on the Ritz is your place!

Choosing Putting on the Ritz for our catering was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. Bobby was easy to work with and really knows what he's doing. Everyone said our buffet style dinner was delicious and I highly recommend the mini cubanos for the cocktail hour!

Putting on the Ritz was fabulous and the best choice we could have made for our wedding caterers. They were easy and generous to work with, accommodating to our needs and preferences, and conscious of working within the means of our budget. And, the food was incredible! I still get comments a month later about how delicious our wedding food was. People said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! And we agree! They are a wonderful team to work with and we couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Fantastic food and amazing package options if you book at one of the venues ran specifically by their team. We had our wedding at Savage Mill Manor House and had the brunch package. Almost every guest came up to my husband and I to say it was the best wedding food they had ever had. The Staff was really great, They were attentive without being intrusive to the flow of the reception and just extremely pleasant to work with.

Amazing! Working with Claudia for our wedding was wonderful. She prepared a great tasting for us and helped us create a fantastic menu within our budget. The service staff at our wedding was absolutely incredible, friendly and professional. The food was amazing and our guests raved about how great everything was with Putting on the Ritz. They organized the entire evening with our other vendors and completely took the pressure off of us. The light bar package also can’t be beat for quality and price. Thank you, again!

Working with Neil was so easy. First the food tasting was really a full meal I was blown away with the menu and how they were able to create a menu that felt elegant and home style. The staff were extremely professional and I honestly felt our dinner service went flawlessly. I had a plated dinner and no one had a cold plate and there were no left overs.

The food from Putting on the Ritz was amazing -- well received and highly complimented! The tasting was lovely -- four people were able to come and taste the food. And boy, was it good food! We got a brunch menu, and it did not disappoint! Chicken & waffles, fruit, omelette station, and typical brunch buffet (bacon, hashbrowns, etc)...it had all the makings of a real brunch! PotR was also very flexible when it came to last minute staffing changes -- at the last minute, we decided that we wanted to have coffee service during the meal (staff coming around and refilling coffee cups) and they were able to accommodate this change easily. All in all, we heard incredible things from the guests, and we would agree with their sentiments! The food was incredible, the staff were friendly and polite...what more could you ask for?!

Putting on the ritz was great from my initial contact with them, to the tasting, to the execution of the wedding. Everything was perfect and guests all night were commenting on how great the food was. Claudia was very responsive during the planning process and Raquel, who was our day of event manager, was extremely friendly and very helpful with the set up of some of my decor. The food was great and the service was even better. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough great things about this catering company. Excellent food, top notch! Amazing attention to detail and supurb staff!
