We absolutely LOVED our wedding cake from Queen of Cakes! It was beautifully designed, exactly how we wanted, and tasted incredible! They were very easy to work with and responsive. Highly recommend them!

Queen of Cakes was super easy to work with and was very quick to respond. We went with cupcakes and they have so many flavors to pick and choose from - and they were delicious! We received a ton of compliments from our guests.

Queen of Cakes did an amazing job for our backyard wedding reception! The cake was a work of art and tasted amazing! Due to the pandemic, we decided to have cupcakes for most guests and they were the most delicious we have ever tasted (both the frosting and the cup cake were just divine)!! The guests raved about how good they were, not to mention how beautiful they looked on display. I highly recommend Queen of Cakes and will be hiring them for our next event!

Queen of cakes did a wonderful job for my wedding cake. It was so delicious and fresh everyone enjoyed it, especially myself I couldn’t stop eating the cake it was so yummy. I got a three tier cake (marble with chocolate mousse) done for approx 53 people and it served well more than that. Everyone enjoyed the cake and they even added fresh roses, it was so beautiful. I couldn’t be more pleased. Christina was so helpful and provided exactly what I wanted, she was amazing. I definitely recommend Queen of cakes as my number one choice. Queen of Cakes provided a two tier cake and dessert miniatures for our wedding - absolutely amazing! Terri was so helpful and friendly, such a pleasure to work with. We loved the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and people devoured the mini desserts - we could easily have doubled the amount. Thank you for being a part of our big day!

We got our wedding cake from Queen of Cakes. Terri was amazing to work with and the pricing was very reasonable.  They offer so many options of cake types and fillings – you can’t go wrong! All of our guests raved about the cake. And the best part? They offer an anniversary program where you get a small free cake every month until your 1yr anniversary! Bring on the (delicious) cake!

I used Queen of Cakes for our Rehearsal dinner cakes and they were wonderful. The tasting we had was so fun and they are completely willing to work with you on whatever you want (or if you are not sure, in my case). Terri was fabulous, professional and incredibly responsive to emails. We designed a cake for each set of our parents and had variations in color and design in each layer. Cake tastes great, price is very reasonable and they really do work with you on individual requests. Definitely check them out! Thanks!

My wife and I worked with Terri at Queen of Cakes to provide some delicious cake for our recent wedding celebration. We are very satisfied with our choice! So were our guests...the cake practically flew off the platters. Depending on your style, pricing is very reasonable. We decided on 3 separate cakes (an 8", 10", and 12") all simply decorated with a white buttercream frosting. Queen of Cakes has a mammoth selection of flavors, but the three that wowed us the most were the dark chocolate orange cake with orange mousse filling, the pink champagne cake with strawberry mousse filling, and a lemon cake with raspberry jam filling. Despite perhaps a bit of procrastinating on my part in ordering the cakes, Terri and Queen of Cakes seemingly effortlessly accommodated our wants and needs. From the tasting to the final product, it was a pleasure to work with Terri. We will, without a doubt, be going to Queen of Cakes for future cake needs.

We LOVED our cake! We had a smaller tired cake for the cake cutting photos and then ordered 3 different flavors of sheet cake for the wedding guests. Our special cake was exactly as we wanted and we couldn’t be happier! Our guests loved that we had different options to choose from. And having Queen of Cakes deliver the cakes on the day of our wedding was nice to have one less thing to worry about! The cakes were all very delicious, we have some leftovers and have been enjoying it all week! We highly recommend Queen of Cakes!!

We were blown away with Terri from Queen of Cakes since our cake tasting! We had tried out a few different places and never looked back once we had our tasting here! We chose a small two-tiered cake for us to cut and then cupcakes for everyone else. Our cake was a beautiful blush marble design and I couldn’t have been more in love with it!

This is not a place you want to go if ordering a wedding cake. The style much more resembled that of a birthday cake, despite having a consultation with the vendor, showing photos, going over examples of what I wanted, and using specific colour choices. The flavours of the cake were fine, but the visualization of the cake was so bad we couldn't even do a formal cutting of the cake, because I was so embarrassed by it. I will never use them again.

Absolutely loved our cake! All of our guests made comments about how good it was. The decorating was done beautifully and it was exactly what we asked for!! I’ll be using them for any cake or bakery needs in the future!

And we just simply sent them our design/inspiration for the cake and that is what they delivered. We enjoyed working with Terri, she's fun, talented and fabulous. The entire process from cake testing to ordering, confirming details, and having it delivered for our day were seamless. We were surprised with the flavor we chose, and LOVED our cake. We received many compliments on the flavor and how beautiful it looked. Well done by the entire team. The cake was simple and elegant for our small reception of 36. We would highly recommend them!

Both the cake design and taste were amazing! We had had tastings at other bakeries (including all the big ones that everyone recommends--you know the ones), but weren't that impressed. Queen of Cakes was our last stop and we were surprised at how much we enjoyed it! We loved how their buttercream was so much lighter and not as greasy feeling as some buttercreams can be. The cake was moist and light and the raspberry filling was a perfect compliment. We weren't limited to a set amount of flavor combinations either. We could choose as many as we liked! The design of the cake, in particular the sugarpaste decorations, turned out better than we imagined. I had even ordered a very specific Death Star groom's cake all over email (as we live out-of-state) knowing that it could be a risk and they executed it perfectly! Overall, we were very happy with how everything turned out! The only thing I will say is that email is probably not the best method of communication. I would recommend calling, especially if it is time-sensitive.

I was having a hard time finding a cake vendor that could 1. do what I requested and 2. didn't have gaps between the tiers in the cake. It was a breath of fresh air when I met with queen of cakes as they told me that what I wanted wouldn't be a problem for them- she didn't even bat an eye at the photo as other bakeries did! She just said, we have ladies who have been doing sugar flowers and piping like that for years. I was doing a touch down dance in their store..! The look: three tiers, lace and ribbon around each tier and sugar flowers on the top tier (like a cake topper) and on the side of the third tier. Fairly simple, but elegant. Due to price, I opted for fresh flowers from my florist vs the sugar ones from queen of cakes and was going to buy lace trim and ribbon to have them place it on the cake (little did I know this may have been the best decision I made in the situation). Unfortunately though, I could not find the type of lace I wanted, but didn't pay much attention to it as during my consultation with them they made it clear and were very confident that they could pipe on the lace detailing from the picture I gave them. They even told me that if its not the same then at the very worst, it will be similar to the photo. From their confidence, I gained confidence so I eventually caved and paid for them to pipe on the lace detail. This was a huge mistake. They prepared me for the height of the cake- it was only going to be about a foot tall. But they didn't prepare me that the piping would look nothing like the photo I gave them. When I saw the cake at my wedding reception, I wanted the venue to take it away and hide it in the back. The piping was horrible, utterly terrible. It actually looked like a 5 year old piped on the "lace" detail. Or maybe someone who was learning how to pipe on lace detail for the first time? Either way- this was not done by someone who has experience. I thought I was being overly dramatic as I had been having trouble finding a cake vendor that could do this cake so I tried to brush it off, but when my family (both my side and my new husband's side together) came up to me and said "we really love you, this wedding is absolutely incredible and please do not take this the wrong way, but that cake needs to get out of the view of guests" I knew it was not just me. So, I paid over $600 for a cake that was a foot tall and turned out horrible as the lace was really the only detail on the cake (the ribbon was small at the bottom of each tier- 1/4"- and the flowers were only on top and on one side of the bottom tier). I wish the bakery would have said that they could not place the piping as pictured as I would have used amazon prime to ship lace- any lace- to their store. The positive and reason for the two stars: the cake was good and the lady was very nice in the consultation. Update: This store really does care about their clients and funny enough, the end result. The owner of this establishment actually reached out (I did not contact the store) to say that she compared what we discussed with what I received and was horrified- this was not normal for them and she wasn't sure what went wrong. As much as my cake was a disaster, I very much appreciate an honest business that can take responsibility for their mistakes and implement changes in their practices for future customers.

Queen of Cakes exceeded my expectations for wedding cake and cupcakes! Terri is AMAZING--so easy to work with, great communicator, creative, and flexible! She was even able to make us two separate "sample trays" for our parents as they were not able to be present for our initial tasting! The whole planning process, from initial tasting to the BIG DAY was flawless. I highly recommend Queen of Cakes for wedding desserts! You will not be disappointed.

I've worked in retail for 7 years, so I don't normally go out of my way to give a negative review. However, I want to share our story with Queen of Cakes so any potential bride and groom can make an informed decision with their cake vendor. First of all, we initially looked into hiring Queen of Cakes in October 2016. At that time, we did the tasting and visited the onsite location. When we decided to hire them for our wedding that October, they told us to call back after the first of the year because they don't book that far out in advance. Fast forward to the first of the year - We called Queen of Cakes to book, but then they told us their prices went up per cupcake for the new year. Definitely not a great start. Secondly, we asked how we could help coordinate the delivery of the cupcakes and the cupcake stand between Queen of Cakes and the venue. They told us "don't worry about it, that is something we will work out with the venue". Okay, perfect - one less thing to worry about. Cupcakes and the cupcake stand was delivered to the venue and setup as promised. After the wedding, we loaded all items into our vehicle that was set aside for us (which was just a cupcake tier stand that we rented). We put the cupcake stand into a plastic bag and my father returned the stand to Queen of Cakes the Tuesday after the wedding (contract states you need to return by the Wednesday after the wedding). When my father returned the cupcake stand, he was met with a very rude staff member and told there needed to be a "cupcake stand carrying bag" as well. Queen of Cakes kept the cupcake stand and refused to refund the $175 deposit until they received the "carrying bag". However, this is concerning because we 1) were never verbally told about a carrying bag 2) never saw a carrying bag delivered 3) signed a contract to rent the tower - and nowhere in the contract did it state anything about a "black carrying bag" for the cupcake stand. Finally, we called and left Terri a voicemail to call us back so we could discuss the situation on Friday, September 8th. We never received a call back - So we called again on Friday September 15th. After raising our discussion points with Terri she quickly became defensive and uncooperative. We mentioned that nowhere in the contract does it state anything about a "black bag" to which she said it was "written on the cupcake tier stand" - Again, as I mentioned, the "black bag" was not stated in the contract. Terri also refused to work with the venue to try to find their cupcake stand bag. Again, they told us "Don't worry about it, we'll work with the venue for delivery of all items" - Until something actually gets lost, not delivered, or misplaced on their part - Then they will refuse to work with anyone, including your venue. So Queen of Cakes kept our $175 deposit. Our venue even stated that the stand was delivered without a "black bag". Terri said her staff claimed they delivered it - A very convenient "he said she said" situation for Terri. Oh yeah, and Terri is keeping the cupcake stand we returned (per the contract) along with the $175 deposit. Like I said, I'm not big on negative reviews unless I feel that it's absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, this is a situation that I want to make future customers aware of. I've given all other vendors for my wedding 5 stars, and a glowing review. I cannot and will not do the same for this vendor. Please consider another place if you want to avoid hassle and headache.

Absolutely loved our experience here! We did cupcakes for our guests and a small cutting cake for just us. There are so many options to choose from- even at the lowest priced cupcake you have 8 different flavors of cake and icing! Our guests can't stop complimenting on how good they were and we love our personal cake!

Queen of Cakes made a delicious cake and cupcakes for our wedding! We loved that they had a whipped icing, which is less sweet than most icings. They also had fun flavors - like a pink champagne that we used for our cake flavor! Our guests loved the cupcakes of carrot cake, red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, and gluten free! We booked them about 3 months ahead of the event, and they were great during the testing to figure out exactly what we wanted. The only complaint I have is that they did not send my final contract until just a few weeks before the event, after several calls and emails, which made me very nervous as we got closer to the date. Also, they called me the night before the wedding, when I was on the way to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, to get the deposit for the cake display platter. I assumed they would do this way earlier and had included it in the final bill I paid a few weeks before. This was inconvenient for me with so many other things on my mind the day before, and I thought it was unprofessional and unorganized. Despite these details, the cake and cupcakes were phenomenal which is what matters the most!

My husband and I are so happy we chose to work with Queen of Cakes for our recent wedding! The whole team was so easy to work with. They are so organized and communicating with them was a breeze. Our four-tier cake was delivered to our venue with no issues at all and was even more beautiful than we could have imagined! Queen of Cakes also worked wonderfully with our florist to have our cake decorated with fresh flowers. On top of all of this, the cake was absolutely delicious! We chose the tuxedo and pink champagne flavors, and received many compliments about how great it tasted. Thank you, Queen of Cakes!

Terri did an amazing job with our wedding cake. Not only did she deliver – she delivered! She made a gluten-free cake so tasty that it was hardly distinguishable from gluten-filled cake, and that is high praise. The birchwood design also fit our woodsy theme perfectly. As a bonus, Terri was a pleasure to work with. When it comes to wedding treats, Queen of Cakes is an ace in the hole.

Queen of Cakes hit the nail on the head!!! We ordered a 3-tier Pink Champagne wedding cake with Bavarian Creme filling and Buttercream icing. We received many compliments on the cake! It was so moist and light, very delicious! Thank you so much for the perfect cake!

Terri and the entire Queen of Cakes team blew us away!!! Not only were they wonderful people to work with, but the cake was DELICIOUS!!! And we didn't ask for just any cake...we had a very specific request...and it wasn't easy...or at least we thought. But Terri made it come to life and she far exceeded our expectations!!! Our friends and family are still raving over it!!! Highly, HIGHLY recommend...prices were fair, quality was incredible, responsiveness was perfection, and we LOVED coming into the cake studio for our tasting and meeting everyone!!! LOVED!!!!

SO AWESOME - our cake baker fell through 6 days before our wedding and we walked in and within 15 minutes picked out a cake (for just the bride and groom) and ordered it. Great cake....and affordable!

So much fun! I asked them to decorate our cake with colored piping and it was so pretty! It also tasted great! They were very easy to work with and accommodated my last-minute decision to change the design. The delivery team was very prompt and so friendly! I will definitely be ordering more cakes from them in the future!

Queen of Cakes blew it out of the park for us on our wedding day. Terri is an absolute gem to work with. She is extremely personable and will make your wish come true with whatever you want your cake or cupcakes to look like. They are very affordable too! We went with a small cake on top of a tier with cupcakes for the rest. We had 4 different kind of cupcakes (all were delicious - but the carrot cake was the favorite) that had all different types of frosting - they were able to match our colors very well! We DEFINITELY recommend Queen of Cakes for your baker. They will make it very easy on you to plan and they will create whatever you have in mind - and also help you be creative along the way.

We were pleased with our experience at Queen of Cakes and especially with Terri. She gave us multiple taste testing sessions because my (now) husband and I lived out of town. She listened to our needs and helped us create a plan on the tiered cake and sheet cakes in order to save some money. The cake was so moist and the frosting was perfect! We had several guests comment on the tastiness of the cake. Terri also created a perfect texture to our wedding cake that we loved. She was so helpful and accommodating! I highly recommend Terri and Queen of Cakes!

Queen of Cakes (and Terri, the owner!) was a perfect vendor for our wedding cupcakes! Terri let us do a number of varieties and combinations (with no minimums), and decorated them to perfectly match our theme. They have cupcake stands to rent, and honestly - the cupcakes are just as good (if not better!) than the much-more-expensive cupcake-only vendors out there! My only gripe is that the cupcakes were so good that they disappeared so quickly! Next time, I would order at least two for every guest! :)

Great cake! We had white cake, some with lemon mousse and some with amaretto mousse, both were delicious. Definitely recommend.

Our guests are still raving about the lemon cake with raspberry mouse that Queen of Cakes made for our wedding! The cake was beautiful too, and we look forward to many more celebrations with cakes from Theresa and team.

Our cake was so good and we could pick as many flavors as we wanted! We couldn't wait a full year to eat our top tier. It was even better the second time!!! My only issue with Queen of Cakes was they didn't answer my emails. I found calling them was the best way to reach them.

We ordered cupcakes (with a cake stand) with a small topper cake for our wedding. We were able to have 4 of our favorite flavors that way. Overall we were very pleased with the taste and presentation. The communication was a little difficult. The contract we received didn't quite match what we had agreed upon during our consultation and it took a few emails and phone calls to sort it out. Also, we wanted to add dark blue and silver sprinkles or decorative sugar to differentiate between flavors and were told that we would have to provide our own. Definitely not a deal breaker, but it does seem odd that a professional bakery could not procure some dark blue and silver sprinkles or decorative sugar. Guests enjoyed it and I would still recommend them.

Terri from Queen of Cakes is one of the most fantastic people in her industry. I can say that because I think my fiance and I tried every cake vendor in the Minneapolis area. When I attended my cake tasting with Terri I knew this was the place I wanted to give my business to. The cake was beautiful and exactly what we asked for, not to mention is was delicious and there was not a single piece left over at the end of the night as multiple people enjoyed seconds. If you want a fun cake tasting, delicious cake, and stress free experience I would recommend giving this place a call.

Queen of Cakes was recommended to me by a co-worker. Terri is the owner and is absolutely incredible. She made me feel like our cake was the only one she was working on - her customer service was THAT good. From the cake tasting to the delivery of the final cake (served 75), Terri was fabulous. We got the white cake with cookies and cream, raspberry mousse, and amaretto mousse filling, and then our top layer was carrot cake with cream cheese filling. Literally to die for. Thanks Terri for your amazing work for us! We will definitely be recommending her to everyone!
