I rented a beautiful backdrop and settee from Rachel J. Events for my June 2023 wedding. Rachel J. has a great website and technology that made communication and payments very easy. The price was very reasonable for both pieces. My family was able to pick up and drop off the pieces because we had an enclosed truck bed. The pick up and drop off process was very smooth. Rachel J. had multiple friendly staffs members who helped out. I rented from Rachel J. after attending one of the warehouse open house events in Fall 2022. This event was so great for being able to see the inventory in-person and to have a low-key introduction to the company.
RJE is incredible! Megan planned the absolute perfect day! From the beginning to the end, she was so kind, easy and organized! She answered every email, text and set up multiple zoom calls (since I live out of state). She helped make every single detail PERFECT and our wedding was magical! The entire team also designed a stunning reception! We couldn't have been more thrilled when we walked into our reception!! Beyond exceeded our expectations! Thank you Megan, and the entire team for designing and planning the best day of our lives!
Rachel and her team are magic workers! Our big day went off without a hitch all thanks to her and her team! During the whole planning process through our wedding day, there was constant communication which helped me so much in being able to relax and enjoy the day! Do yourself a favor and hire Rachel J. Events for your wedding! I had seen RJE's work before on social media and felt like she was going to fit our vibe, so I did a consultation and ended up confirming she was available before selecting and locking in my date at the venue - that's how important I knew she was going to be for our planning process and big day. I utilized her (now retired) day-of coordination package because I wanted to do the overall event design and preparation myself (former wedding professional, here!) To be honest, if I didn't truly enjoy that part of the process, I definitely would've hired her for the whole package. I knew if I didn't have a professional to coordinate, I would've driven myself nuts trying to control every little thing on the day of. Once I handed over my final details, my entire focus shifted to the most important part of getting married - celebrating ourlove and fully soaking up every moment of our day! Kalan and Rachel were phenomenal and made everything from our rehearsal to the last moments of the night run smoothly. Having a planner/coordinator may seem frivolous, but it's honestly one of the best investments we made for our day. Not only are they talented, they are committed to being an expert in their craft and a big part of the Omaha wedding community. Since they already had connections with with most of my other vendors, I trusted that they would all work together seamlessly as a team. Whether this is the first event you've ever planned or you're a Type-A person like me, you cannot go wrong with choosing RJE!
Rachel J and her team are an absolute delight to work with! They are creative, innovative and stay ahead of the trends. This is not a cookie cutter group; each event is tailored with the personalities of the couple in mind. Rachel's designs continue to surprise and charm guests. I'm excited to see what RJE will do in 2023!
I always enjoy working with Rachel and her team. They are always dialed into the event, and their attention to detail is top-notch. There are plenty of rental businesses, but if you're looking for a company with ideas and creative suggestions to build your event around, then RJE is a company you should consider. She has a very nice selection of inventory, and she is able to deploy that inventory into the perfect scenario that will meet your needs. She's not going to sell you something you don't need to make a quick buck. She operates with honesty and integrity and has placed a high priority on those values. Good Job RJE and team!
Rachel, Megan, and the rest of the RJE team were absolutely amazing! If there is one thing I would recommend to brides, it is to get yourself a wedding planner. You will not regret it! They unloaded all of the stress of planning and helped the day run so smoothly so that we could enjoy the day fully! I also asked their team to help with another event during our wedding week and they went above and beyond despite and extremely busy week for them! You will not be disappointed hiring this team!
I can't thank RJE enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!! Kalan and Megan took care of every single detail - nothing was left out. After getting engaged, my fiancé and I had no idea where to start with the wedding planning process, so we hired Rachel and her team for full service and design. I’m not being dramatic when I say she was the best thing that happened to us! I had never been the girl to have a dream wedding made in mind already. I gave Rachel a few things that I liked, such as A LOT of flowers ;), and she created my dream wedding that I never even knew I had envisioned. She made our planning process so smooth and fun. My fiancé and I were truly able to enjoy our full engagement and be present with each other throughout the wedding planning process, and I know that is because of Rachel and her team.
My one piece of advice for any newly engaged Omaha couples is hire RJE (or even simply use her rentals RJR) you will absolutely not regret it. Rachel is truly a dream to work with, and trust me you will want her and/or her team to be a part of your vendor line up on your wedding day!

I just attended the third wedding where the couple used Rachel J Events as the wedding planner. Each wedding was perfectly unique to each couple- the decor was over the top STUNNING at each one and perfectly matched each couple. I am truly amazed at the creativity and execution of this team- from champagne walls, to hotel themed receptions to constructing a walkway for the bride to make her entrance over a swimming pool! Not only was the decor exceptional, but the team kept everyone on point and handled any issues (broken heel on bride’s shoe!) with absolute calm and professionalism. They honestly make every brides wedding dreams a reality. I would highly recommend them for any event!

My wife and I hired Rachel J Events to plan our 2022 summer wedding. We are so happy to be married; many things about our wedding were beautiful, but our experience with Rachel left much to be desired. We spoke to a few local wedding planners and selected Rachel because of the promise of experience and organizational skill. We set and communicated a wedding budget and followed the next steps as a new client. We were so excited when Rachel and her team presented the first design layout – gorgeous plans well aligned with our overall vision. Imagine our shock when we learned the proposed design exceeded our wedding budget by 3 times!
After we declined the design budget, our interactions with Rachel took on a different tone. Rachel took zero accountability for overselling and over-promising the design elements. She told my fiancée and her mother that THEY needed to go over the design elements one by one: seating vignettes, table décor, signage, florals, lighting, and hundreds of other details, to figure out where they could cut costs. This was very frustrating! The reason we decided to hire a wedding planner was to reduce the work and stress. We were blamed for our vision being over budget; when Rachel should have taken accountability for over-promising. After nickel-and-diming our way through the proposed design concept, we were exhausted fighting for the things we wanted. Ultimately, Rachel got everything her way – but this wasn’t her wedding, it was ours!
We felt pressured to pick the vendors Rachel chose, ignoring our preferences. We were sent countless emails with different stylists, bakers, and florists, none from OUR list that we had provided to Rachel before our initial meeting. We were told this was because Rachel didn’t have connections with the vendors we selected. Rachel claimed to have the perfect florist for our vision, but her proposal required 3 florists! She also made more “budget cuts” without consultation, resulting in choices we would not have made. The more we said no, the more pushback we received, but if anything went wrong, we were blamed. Rachel took no accountability. We gave up on the wedding planning process being a fun, light, exciting time – because any communication with Rachel made us feel unheard or taken advantage of. We were just hoping the wedding day would make up for all we went through to get there.
This is my first wedding, so I didn’t know 100% what to expect, but after paying for a full-service wedding planner, we at the very least expected her to ensure the wedding day ran smoothly, to act as the point of contact for anyone needing assistance, to corral the wedding party, to help with minor makeup touch-ups, to ensure that all wedding personnel had their flowers, and that the venue was set up perfectly and on time. Unfortunately, that is not how our wedding day went. In fact, multiple people (family, wedding party, vendors, and guests) asked *us* where Rachel was during the day.
We are grateful to our photographer for filling the role of day-of coordinator. He was with us the whole day, correcting timeline issues or ceremonial details and making sure that our day ran smoothly. We are very happy to be married but, our experience with Rachel was extremely disappointing. We felt that she consistently pushed her own agenda and prioritized benefitting herself and her business far above creating a perfect wedding day for us. We hope this review helps other couples in their choices and Rachel to improve.
I cannot say enough great things about Megan, Kalan, Rachel and the entire RJE team! They made sure that every detail was covered. The full, detailed schedule and communication with vendors allowed me time to just focus on enjoying the last few weeks before the wedding. Anything small that came up, I was able to ask Megan for help with. The team also installed beautiful string lights on the patio at the reception which provided guests a beautiful space the whole evening. The day of the wedding my family and wedding party were able to just enjoy and celebrate since we knew the RJE team had everything handled.
Rachel and her team were absolutely amazing and made our day perfect! The made the planning process stress free and were quick to respond with any questions or thoughts I had! They made our vision a reality and we can not imagine using anyone else! There are not enough good things to say about this team!
Rachel and her team made our wedding and reception BEYOND BEAUTIFUL. We hired them to do day of planning and set up after we were told by our venue there was no way they could orchestrate the visions I had. I needed a pretty extensive room flip, within an hour, which included setting the tables, changing our alter into a backdrop, setting up a sweetheart table, as well as cake table, light 500 candles, and put out my 4 huge totes of decor. I used to work in the wedding industry myself, and I can tell you none of the teams i've worked with could've pulled off what they did. Almost all of the guests we spoke with after said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. Can't thank them enough for making all of our wedding, especially reception, dreams come to life.
Rachel made our wedding better than we could have imagined – it was STUNNING! Being an out of state bride and in graduate school my time to focus on wedding planning was limited but Rachel made the planning process go so easy! She arranged appointments for us when we were in town and would Zoom if we had a meetings. She was the person attending all the in-person appointments and we had complete trust in her creative design! Rachel is so easy to work with and brought all my wedding dreams to life. She made planning an out of state wedding easy and was a so much fun to work with. I would recommend working with Rachel for any event!
For our wedding, we used Rachel J Events for our day-of planner! As our wedding was creeping closer, I felt completely overwhelmed. However, Nicole (our lead planner with assistance from Rachel) reassured me that she had everything under control and it would be the perfect day. They had created a detailed schedule of the day with some wiggle room of course! Rachel J Events had everything run smoothly and took care of anything that arose. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our special day. I would 100000% recommend Rachel J Events to any bride! Such a great experience!
Wow! Hiring Rachel J and her team was the best decision I made with any of my wedding planning. From the minute I sat down for my first meeting with Rachel, she was on.top.of.it. We hired her for day of planning. The meetings leading up to the wedding put me at ease and I knew that I was in good hands and that everything would be taken care of. I didn't give a second thought during the week of our wedding that something was missed or wouldn't get done. The day of the wedding was stress free and I knew we could both enjoy our day knowing we were in the best hands with Rachel and Megan taking care of us. 10/10. Can not recommend them enough. Seriously, hire them so you are not stressed out before your wedding and truly will get to enjoy every second of the weekend- it goes by way too quick!
Ali, Nicole, and Rachel were my life savers for our wedding!! We hired Rachel J Events for day of coordination and event set up. They literally made our lives so easy the weekend of the wedding, and even the weeks leading up. Ali was in contact with all of our vendors to make sure they were at the right place at the right time, and also made the most perfect timeline for our wedding party and family! I was so worried about how many people we had to get into different spots that weekend, but I didn’t have to worry about a thing.
The day of was an absolute breeze with Ali and Nicole, and if anything went wrong - neither my husband or I knew. They handled everything with grace and they were seriously the nicest girls ever! I’m so lucky I found this company, and I will recommend them to every future bride I know!!
PS. Day of coordination is WORTH IT!
We used Rachel's team for a day of coordinator and I couldn't have done the wedding without them! They took the stress out of the day so that we could enjoy every minute of our wedding day. It was so comforting knowing they had all the details for the day and could take care of everything without us being involved. The staff was so friendly and made us feel so special on our big day. Prior to the wedding we met with the team multiple times and it made us feel so much more relaxed knowing they would take care of all the details. If you are looking for a coordinator I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Rachel and her team, you will not regret it!

The Rachel J Events team did an outstanding job with day of coordination, timeline planning, and rental execution for our wedding! All team members went above and beyond and ensured our day ran seamlessly. They fully understood our vision and took the time to get to know us as a couple and what we wanted out of the day. We know they have multiple events going on at any given time but they always made us feel like the most important couple during our meetings and over our weekend. I felt like they took us in as their friends. I would recommend RJE to every couple planning a wedding as well as for anyone else looking for event planning!
The first time I sat down with Rachel to discuss my vision for my wedding, I knew I was in capable hands. Rachel is 10 steps ahead at all times, and knows exactly how to make the bride and grooms' dreams a reality. This was proven time and again, especially when she and Ben covered a window on the roof of our venue to block the sun from getting in our eyes during the "I dos!" She's simply the best.
I cannot say enough good things about Rachel and her team. They are on top of it from the minor details all the way to the big picture. We had a small wedding ceremony during a pandemic. That alone is scary and stressful, they made it a breeze. The party and all involved in the process were on the same page and were able to reach Rachel J. Events any time they needed anything. Rachel is the best money we spent on our wedding! Rachel was so amazing every step of the way. She is an organizer’s dream and was responsive to every question and request throughout the entire process. We truly would not have been able to pull everything off without the RJE team. It was such a relief to have someone who coordinated with vendors on drop off and pick up times and showed them where everything went the day of. We also rented many items from RJE for our wedding which was the best decision. I would recommend Rachel J. Events to ANYONE getting married!
We hired Rachel for full event planning and we could not have been happier! We live in Chicago, but the wedding was in Omaha, and Rachel did a fantastic job of coordinating everything remotely with me. She really took the time to get to know us and learn what we had in mind for the wedding, and her execution of our vision was spot on. She has incredible attention to detail and is so organized. I never felt like anything would be forgotten or overlooked. Also, as our wedding landed right in the middle of the covid crisis, she was super flexible with all of the changes that needed to be made. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!!

We hired Rachel as our day of coordinator and I can't tell you enough how grateful I am that she was there for us on our wedding day. We hire RJE for our wedding day management and by far the best decision we made for our wedding day!! I am a meticulous planner and knew that it would be difficult for me to relinquish control of the wedding I had been planning for the last year. Rachel could not have made that transition any easier for me!! She slipped right into my shoes and took over the show and ran it with such grace, the day turned out even better than I had envisioned it! During the lead up to our big day Rachel made us feel so calm and at ease. We received so many compliments from family and our wedding party how amazing and smooth Rachel and her assistant Olivia ran our day! Not to mention she has a killer rental inventory as well. So glad I had Rachel by my side in planning my wedding! The planning process was very daunting to me, and Rachel made the process fun! She provided me with the tools and guidance to make things flow smoothly. There was a few snags in our plans, due to planning during a pandemic, but she helped keep me calm and solved everything! Wedding day was an absolute dream come true for us! Our decor was gorgeous, meticulously arranged by Rachel and her team. The weather on the day was beautiful, (I think she may have called in a favor for that)! Rachel and her team made sure that everything was flawless!! Could not have done it without Rachel!! I could literally write a book about how INCREDIBLE this company is. I'm SOOO happy I hired Rachel to be my wedding planner. Rachel made the wedding planning process fun and enjoyable. She was totally on top of everything from start to finish and I really appreciated her prompt communication throughout the entire process. Because I planned my wedding during the Covid Pandemic, we had to change the plans several times. Rachel never missed a beat and was always flexible with changes and happy to help execute them.

Where to even begin! I met Rachel on a whim at a bridal fair and originally hired her for JUST her Wedding Day Management service. After our first meeting my husband and I quickly signed the contract for the full-on planning services instead, and we are SO happy we did. I had a pretty specific vision for what I wanted but just wasn’t sure how to get there, between all the different vendors and options out there. Rachel and her team made ALL my dreams a reality, even building multiple custom rentals for us. Down to the Monday before our wedding Rachel’s wheels kept turning on how to make our day even better, she had an idea for a welcome sign for our reception and I said, “go for it!” The welcome sign was PERFECT, and we even got some great photos from it, too. The venue my husband and I selected for our reception required a lot of coordination between rentals, caterer, cake, entertainment etc. and Rachel handled all of this for us. She kept us on schedule during the planning process and made sure all vendors were coordinated and paid accordingly. I don’t know where we would have been without Rachel J. Events! When our Wedding Day finally came, Rachel and her team made sure everything ran smoothly – if there were any hiccups or issues, I had NO idea, Rachel’s team handled everything flawlessly. On top of all of this, Rachel always made me feel like I was her only client! I know for a fact that she was juggling multiple projects so making me feel like I was her main priority was awesome for my peace of mind. I cannot stress enough how important her team was to our big day. 5 stars isn’t even enough for this gal. Hire her. I repeat. Hire. Her. (and thank me later!)

As soon as I got engaged I knew I wanted to hire Rachel as our Wedding Planner. It was hands down the best decision we made. Rachel was extremely personable and professional. Our wedding had a lot of unconventional dynamics to it that would not have been made possible without Rachel’s expertise! Rachel helped us plan our—out of state—DREAM WEDDING. Hiring Rachel allowed me to enjoy my engagement rather than stressing out about all the details! I was able to be as involved as I wanted to be. I can not believe the amount of compliments I received on how gorgeous and smooth the entire day and layout was. She gave me the natural and minimalist wedding I have always dreamed about. We hired RJE for our day of coordination and it was easily the best decision we could have made. Although Rachel herself was unavailable on our wedding date (she was in her cousins wedding) she was at every meeting and contacted each of our vendors to organize everything. We had the pleasure of having Ali as our day of coordinator and she was absolutely outstanding. Ali was also in attendance at all of our meetings so she knew what was going on as well. Rachel and her team definitely go above and beyond their job title and do whatever it takes to make your day go smoothly. I cannot stress enough how RJE allowed everyone at our wedding to relax and not have to worry about anything except celebrating with my husband and I. Our parents and family didn’t have to worry about anything because Ali was on it. Tannor and I were able to have truly the best day of our lives because we weren’t worried about anything going awry as Ali had everything under control. If you want your guests and yourselves to enjoy the day and for everything to go seamlessly, hire RJE, you will not be disappointed!
I hired Rachel for the Day of Coordination and Decor Installation and it was hands down the best decision we made. We had heard through family friends that their highest recommendation for a wedding was to hire a day-of coordinator and they were 100% right. (I was one of those people that heard that but at first was like, noo it's okay I like to plan, I'll be fine, right? no). It was so worth it and now I can't imagine the day without RJE. I think the best part was seeing all of my family and bridal party be able to fully enjoy the wedding day themselves. There was no handing off last-minute tasks to family members or attendants because Rachel and her team took care of every last detail. Even details I didn't know existed.

Working with Rachel was amazing! We had an elopement style wedding which came together in a few short months! It was so special and so beautiful, it was the best day of my life. Everything went as planned and on schedule. She even went out of her way to make it extra special with some of her signature touches such as laser cut name plates for each guest! Rachel not only linked us with the best vendors, but she also set up and ran all the coordination meetings too. She touched every detail of our wedding planning and provided phenomenal day-of support. We were able to enjoy our wedding because she took care of every single detail & stepped in to help, she even helped get our boys dressed!
She is knowledgeable, confident, talented and a straight professional at making your wedding dreams come true. Her expertise was THE BEST thing we could have purchased for our wedding.
It never occurred to me or my daughter to hire a wedding coordinator or even a day of coordinator. Wedding budgets are large but seem to go very fast and this seemed like the easiest place to save some money. We were deep into planning and had most of the big decisions made when someone asked me how we were going to handle the details of the day. My reply was that the venue was going to take care of that. They then said something that really hit home, "the venue works for the venue. A day of coordinator works for you."
My daughter and I decided then and there we would look into allocating some of her budget to a coordinator. Not having any idea what they do or cost we contacted several. Rachel immediately made us feel at ease with the decisions we had already made and confidant that the wedding day, which included a room flip of 200 guests, would be flawless. She guided us through all of the little details that we needed to consider for the day such as the progression of the ceremony, the music and how it would be played, what time to gather family for pictures, and even what to include for the reception. The night of the rehearsal she handed the entire wedding party pocket timelines to carry with them so they all knew when and where to be.
The day of the wedding I arrived to the venue after Rachel and her staff. When I walked in they were knee deep in unwrapping candles and vases. They had already communicated with the venue and all of the vendors. The night ran on time because she made sure the communication between parties was clear. At one point in the evening it occurred to my husband and myself that we hadn't spoken to a single vendor and everything was placed perfectly and every vendor knew exactly what to do. We were free to enjoy the night with our daughter and our families. We never worried or thought about the details of the day. At the end of the night we only had to gather what Rachel and her team and gathered and broke down without us even knowing.
Bottom line, spoken from someone who was hesitant to spend the money on things I assumed I could do myself, Rachel was worth every penny. I only wish I had hired her for it all, not just the day of management.
I’m a pretty well organized person. In fact, I’m a project manager at an events company. So when it came to planning my wedding, I knew I could handle it on my own especially with a 2.5 year engagement. With 10 months left before the wedding, I got TIRED and I hired Rachel. Rachel is a God send. If you are getting married, having Rachel as a day of coordinator is an absolute must. I was able to enjoy my day knowing any situations and/or problems were being handled. Some are still being told to me by friends and family that I never knew about. I love Rachel and you will, too. And if you’re getting married and think you can handle it all? Hire her. She was recommended by our venue, and we hired her for day-of coordination for our June ’19 wedding. We planned remotely with a 1-hour time difference, and Rachel was consistently flexible and proactive about hopping onto video calls. She’s diligent, hard-working, and an all-around delight.
