We had a big wedding reception here for just under 200 people. When we first booked, we were in contact with a helpful sales/event manager who was nice and professional. She took another job halfway thru our process and we were a bit stressed as how the person taking over would be. We found out very quickly that Tim was so nice and constantly reassuring us that everything would turn out great. And it did! From the front desk staff, to housekeeping, to banquet servers and managers...everyone was very nice and helpful and did an amazing team effort to pull it all together. The ballroom looked beautiful and the food...appetizers and entrees... were so good! The bride and groom got a nice complimentary bridal suite that night and complimentary Brunch buffet the next morning. Their server, however, handed them the bill while I happened to be sitting there and I had to tell her that it was complimentary for the bride and groom. She did not know this and had to go check. If I had not been sitting there and spoke up, the groom was prepared to pay, even though he knew it should have been on the house. She came back and apologized and said she had never had a bride and groom before and didn't know it was free for them.
The morning after the reception, everything that was left over for us that we didn't get the night before was neatly stacked in the ballroom safe and sound ready for us to pack in the car. We had use of two nice Parlor rooms for the whole bridal party to get ready before the wedding. Little kitchenette too.
They do many banquets and parties and dinners and large tour bus groups in the Ballroom all the time, so they know how to handle a large group.
I would highly recommend the Radisson for a wedding reception. Tim and Star have years of experience doing what they do best.
This was probably the worst decision we made for vendors. We wanted a hotel block that was a little more affordable for our guests and thought this would be a fun choice with the views of downtown Cincinnati and the rotating restaurant. To begin, the communication was awful. I could never get a response. They rarely responded to emails or took very long to reply. When I called, I almost always got a voicemail (for a portion of the time the number listed for the point of contact didn't even work) and rarely received a return call. Whenever we called the front desk trying to get in touch with our coordinator, they were often rude and/or lazy (one hung up on me). It took forever to get my contract and booking links. Our booking links stopped working and it took a long time to fix. While it was down, guests had to call the hotel, and couldn't even get booked under our block. This required us to call and get it fixed. Most of our guests didn't get the welcome bag left with the front desk. The check-in process day of was horrible. We had a regular room, and no upgrades were ever offered after all of the complications before even checking in. As we were walking into our room, people walking out of the room next to us had cock roaches and needed to moved to another room. There was a manager that we talked to while we were picking up the leftover welcome bags and he mentioned that we should've been in a suite from the get-go. He offered us a room upgrade, however, it was 11:00 pm and our wedding was the next day so we declined. He instead gave us each a complimentary breakfast. We appreciated this, however I think our entire stay should've been compensated. Overall just bad.

I am so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. In order to investigate this further I would need to know The Group name and the Date of the Event. If you are not comfortable replying on this website, please e mail me at rpartin@cincyradis...

I had my wedding reception at the Radisson in Covington, Kentucky on 10/15/22 and it was AMAZING!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We worked with Rhonda the months leading up, and Star the weekend of. They were both so helpful. Very attentive and receptive to our wants. Quick to reply and get my questions answered. They truly wanted this day to be perfect. The ballroom looked amazing and I’m so appreciative of the set up work that they did. During the reception, everything flowed really nicely. Food was delicious (we did a plated dinner). I would recommend the Radisson to anyone. It was everything we hoped for. Thank you so much!
Any questions?
We ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Radisson! The Radisson checked off all our must have boxes. We dealt with Nikki - she went over and above! She got back to me with any questions very quickly. We were able to make the day exactly what we wanted. The staff was incredible! We had a lot of guests stay there and they were able to pass out gifts to them as they were checked in. We had 2 rooms where the bridal party got ready we utilized the hospitality room for the guys and we booked the honeymoon suite for the girls (we did have to pay extra for this). I would recommend getting a different room because this room wasn't clean when we got back there that evening. We also booked the cocktail space on the 16th floor. It was beautiful and the guests loved the view. I would recommend getting with your planner and the DJ and talk about the 'exit' it was a little of a cluster getting 250 people downstairs. The event space is gorgeous!! I didn't look at it until we walked in when the DJ called our name and it was breathtaking! Our guests are still raving about the food. We had the Boursin stuffed Chicken and Sirlion with caramelized onion demi glaze, mashed potatoes and green beans. It was absolutely delicious! The staff during the reception was awesome I was never without a drink and I heard our wedding party also was never with out one. They were running around asking people for refills or to take their empties. The bar lines I heard went quick. They took care of everything in the back house. They organized everything with our vendors and handled the gifts at the end of the night. We continued the party in the bar area which was an awesome and easy after party. Also, another plus was the all inclusive package - it was very nice not having to figure in gratuity and tax! If I did it again I would hands down go back and do it with Nikki and the Radisson!!
I am so grateful that I chose this venue for my wedding. Not only is the space gorgeous (if you haven't seen it in a while it has been renovated and the updates are beautiful) but the service I received was outstanding. Everyone from the sales associates, to the weekend manager to the banquet manager (an outstanding individual named Star) and bartenders catered to me as the bride and made sure everything was how I wanted it to be. Our reception was an absolute blast, the food was incredible, and the guests really appreciated not having to drive home at the end of the night. All of this came at one of the most affordable prices I could find at hotel venues in the Cincinnati/Covington area. I highly recommend them to any bride looking for a venue in/around Cincinnati!
Things started off really well, but quickly went downhill. In the year since we booked the radisson, I worked with 3 different people - it was never communicated to me that the current person I was working with was not there anymore - not very professional if you ask me. So it was super aggravating constantly switching people, as I had to keep repeating myself and recapping where we were on the process. About 3 weeks before the wedding they hired some new ladies, Lakeisha and Christina, who were super helpful.
Hotel booking was a nightmare. Radisson, you HAVE to fix this. Booked our block and when people called to book one night (our wedding night), they were being told the hotel was sold out. This was not the case. You guys just decided to put two-night minimum stays on all of your rooms. Really? You're not the Hilton, you are turning away business for people who just want to stay one night. Talked to he booking staff and "resolved the issue". Said if you CALLED the radisson, you can book for one night only, you just couldn't do it online. Weird, but okay. We tested this by calling the main Radisson reservations line AND the Radisson Riverfront directly. We were denied reservations by both. Had to call back and demand to have the block reopened. It all worked out but it was an incredible pain.
The hotel said we could have hotel/welcome bags for our guests. Delivered those on Thursday. Go to check-in on Friday and see that our box of bags are still full even though I know 3 of our gusts have already checked in. I raised the concern and the guy working the deal at the time said he never knew about them. Bad communication here. It was made right and they hand-delivered the bags of the guests already checked in, but again, what a pain. Don't offer that service if you can't communicate it o your staff and execute it.
My husband and I booked a suite for the wedding night as well as for the night before. We get in there and it's dirty, looks like the bed was slept in, a bottle of water was missing, the toilet was not sealed to the ground, the carpet smelled, and the seal on the shower was broken. There was a piece of hard plastic (not sure what it was) the was still attached to the doorway of the shower that was jagged and broken off. I could have cut myself! We requested a new room, staff apologized, but still, didn't you guys just "remodel" this hotel? And as people who spent over $15,000 in your hotel, you couldn't have checked to make sure we had the best suite in the hotel? Super disappointing and I'm surprised we weren't offered a comped room. Again, disappointing.
The one perk to the Radisson is Star Schultz and her banquet team. I give HER 5 stars for her attentiveness and execution because the wedding was beautiful. Star went above and beyond to make sure I felt good about everything and to ensure it was executed successfully.
Star gets 5 stars, but the rest of the hotel and staff get 3 stars.
And as amazing as Star and her entire staff was, I would not recommend anyone hosting an event here until they can get their act together.
Fist off I just have to say I'm not a complainer. I never seek out people to write reviews but I want to save other brides from what I went through.
Six months before our wedding we reserved a room block at this hotel for the bridal party and out of town guests.
The day of the wedding they turned into a nightmare. My bridesmaids spouses were told they were not allowed to check into the hotel even if their names were on the reservation because they did not have the spouses credit card numbers who originally made the reservation. I, myself, and three of my bridesmaids were on the phone with them half the day even during hair and makeup trying to sort it out. The main problem was not the hotel policies. It was that the staff refused to listen and work with us to find a solution. It even got to the point that they were rude. I work with disgruntled people every day in my profession and have to say that their guest services were awful and they could not work with reasonable people to find a solution to their difficulties. There is no reason I should have to be calling the hotel on the day of the wedding because my guests can't check in. When we asked for managers throughout this process we were just sent to voicemail because one "wasn't available."
Another problem we had was with the cleanliness of the rooms. My husband and I paid for a suite the night of our wedding and were so disappointed to find it dirty. There was gum on the headboard of our bed and food stains on the curtains. Other bridesmaids reported that they found dip canisters on the floors of their rooms and sinking floors.
I am just overall extremely dissatisfied with the customer service. When my husband and I finally arrived to the hotel to check in the person at the desk flat out ignored us for over 5 minutes because it was late and we were just now checking in. I was literally standing there begging for service in my wedding dress and I was exhausted and just wanted to go to bed. (We were late checking in because they would not allow my husband to check us in earlier because it was my credit card on file...even though the room had already been paid for)
The last straw was what happened next. It was late, 2am, and it was just myself and my husband. I have to point out being the bride and groom we were just spent and exhausted, neither of us intoxicated. We got to our room and I went next door and got one of my bridesmaids to help me get out of the dress (my poor husband had no idea what to do with the corset). We put the bolt in the door so it wouldn't close all the way and myself and ONE OTHER BRIDESMAID proceeded to almost wordlessly get me out of my dress. Other brides can relate to the end of the night, everyone is just tired after the long day. Two minutes into me getting my wedding dress unlaced a "manage" proceeds to knock and PUSH OPEN the door to tell us that we were being too loud. I literally looked at him flabbergasted. I am standing there half in my wedding dress with 1 other person being told to essentially shut up by someone who just barged into the room.
I have since spoken to guest services who have given us a gift certificate for our trouble but I have to say we won't be using it. This whole experience with this hotel was atrocious. I want to save other brides from this experience. Spend the extra money and go to a better/professional establishment. They made me feel belittled and embarrassed that I booked there.
The Radisson was easy to locate for all of my in-town and out-of-town guests, as it is located directly off of 71/75.
I decided to book a suite for two nights through the Radisson which allowed me to have all of my bridesmaids together the night before the wedding and a luxurious and romantic wedding night with my husband.
We also were able to rent out the hotel's Hospitality Room which allowed us to book hair and makeup artists to come to us instead of having to drive all over town to get picture-perfect for the big day.
From the moment we checked-in until we checked-out the staff members were happy to greet us and to assist us with any questions we had.
I would suggest booking in advance, especially if you want to rent an additional room for hair and makeup, as this hotel books up pretty quickly!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience having our reception at the Radisson! Jodi, Star and the rest of the catering/serving staff were just fantastic! We got married at Mother of God Church in Covington, so the Radisson was a perfect place to have our rehearsal dinner and reception. The food was INCREDIBLE!! It was so hard to choose what to serve at the rehearsal and what to serve at the reception because everything was so good! The service was just fantastic! After the rehearsal dinner, my bridesmaids and I stayed at the hotel. We took advantage of the hospitality room included in the reception package and had our hair and make up stylist come to the hotel. It made for such a stress free experience! Covington is convienent to so many nice back drops for outdoor and indoor photography! It was so nice not to have to run all over the place getting ready, getting pictures, getting lunch! Everything you would want is all right here. We would HIGHLY recommend this venue! They will definitely be getting our business in the future for big family events!
Was a beautiful location and their staff went above and beyond.
Jodi Gagnon was a great catering manager. She handled all of our small set up details and was responsive to all my emails. Also, our choice of plated dinner was perfect. The stuffed chicken and sirlion were great. The portion was very generous.

Michelle- Thank you for your kind words! It was such a pleasure working with you and I wish you the best of luck:)

We had our rehearsal dinner and our block of rooms for wedding guests at the Radisson. We had a terrible experience working with them. It was by far the most difficult part of planning our wedding. They continued to pass us around to differnet people, none of which talked to each other, so we continued to get different information from each person. We made appointments to meet with them in person at the Radisson and they did not show up. We also used their vans as a shuttle service to our reception, which was the entire reason we picked this hotel. However, after the reception they did not make two shuttle runs as planned leaving some of our wedding guests stranded at the reception. I would recommend saving yourself the stress and using a different hotel/venue.
Overall, I was very pleased with my exprience at this venue. The ballroom is one of the most beautiful around and the 16th floor for the cocktail hour has a beautiful view overlooking the cincinnati skyline. Our food was a bit disappointing the day of because the appearance and the taste of the beef was not as good as our trial run and we were also told that there would be a cheese and fruit display during the cocktail hour but there was not. However, the staff is very pleasant and did a great job making sure this day was a success. I would recommend this venue to a friend, just make sure you review details with them multiple times!
Jodi was especially enjoyable to work with. She was on top of every detail! The reception was fantastic. If I needed someone, there was someone there before I could even say anything. The chef was amazing, and everyone was great to work with.
The ballroom is beautiful and the food was fantastic! I would recommend the Radisson to friends & family.
It was a great atmosphere and affordable for a hotel reception.;Had to contact quite a few times to make sure things were on track. Did not decide menu until 2 weeks before wedding.
