Rainbow Ranch Lodge & Restaurant

Rainbow is the perfect place for a Montana wedding. The setting provides the most beautiful backdrop only made better by fantastic service and food. Carrie and the rest of the team were incredibly helpful from the planning stages through the day of. They were flexible and worked with us to make sure everything on the day of went seamlessly from coordinating with local vendors to random requests from our side. Couldn't recommend the venue more!

Rainbow Ranch is hands down the best venue in Big Sky area. The venue is right on the Gallatin, and we were able to hear the river as we said our vows. The barn/tent is intimate and beautiful. The flow of the venue is absolutely perfect - we were able to move a few feet from the cermony to a gorgeous outdoor bar for cocktail, to the barn/tent for a lovely open air dinner and incredibly fun dance! The energy all night was just wonderful because the space kept our 150 guests comfortably close together. I cannot speak enough praises for Carrie Bishop. She is an amazing wedding planner and event coordinator. We planned our wedding long distance, and she made the entire process very easy. Rainbow Ranch only works with the best vendors in town, and Carrie's expertise in wedding planning is truly top notch. The rooms at Rainbow Ranch are definitely worth the price. They service is impeccable, the food is amazing, and the hot tub and fire places make your guests stay romantic and relaxing. In addition, Rainbow Ranch is close enough to Big Sky resort and Yellowstone so guests can enjoy all the Big Sky has to offer.

Where do I start to review Rainbow Ranch? Our daughter was married at Rainbow Ranch in December, 2013. Mollie and her staff far exceeded our expectations! Mollie, the resort manager is a trained wedding planner and uses her skills to make sure that every little detail is covered. From local vendor recommendations, to sending picture updates (we wanted snow), to ensuring that her staff and facilities were well prepared for the event, Mollie is a pro. I can say without hesitation that Mollie is fully capable of planning and coordinating a wedding at Rainbow Ranch. The staff is so warm and welcoming and truly care about the success of the event. From Liz, the pastry chef who prepares the most amazing breakfast pastries (those croissants!) and creates the most beautiful, delicious dessert tables - gluten free on request, to Tyler, the bartender, waiter, do-it-all guy who greets the guests with a smile, to Joce who ensures your guest room needs are all met, I could go on with each staff member - the Rainbow Ranch staff becomes part of your family! The rooms are clean and comfortable with lovely amenities - the firewood was well stocked in the rooms with fireplaces. The food - amazing! Our guests could not stop raving about the quality of the food! This is not your typical event food - it is fine dining! The daily breakfast was always wonderful too. The location on the Gallatin River is beautiful and feels very private, even though it is conveniently located just off the main road. The main building is filled with local artwork and history - a true mountain western gem! I believe that in the end, what you will always remember is how a place made you feel - Rainbow Ranch and the staff there made us feel special and I look forward to returning often!

Wow, I knew the Rainbow Ranch was great, but every expectation I had, the groom had, and my mom had was met and exceeded! The setting, the rooms, the food, and the service were outstanding! The real star there is Mollie, the manager, who is amazing! She acts as a wedding coordinator, and we could not have had such a perfect wedding without her and her staff at the RR.

Rainbow Ranch is beyond perfect. Right next to the Gallatin River with mountains surrounding the venue, we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful spot for our wedding. The staff at Rainbow Ranch is helpful, kind, caring, and inspires many return visits... we really can't wait to come back for our anniversary or even before that at any just any chance we get! The food is not only incredibly delicious, but beautiful. The cocktails, wine, and beer are great and they have many local brews to try. Mollie is the event manager and made the whole weekend run smoothly. She is truly amazing and gives great advice on everything from hair and makeup people to organizing your day-of schedule. Even if you choose a different place for you wedding day, you should visit the Rainbow Ranch at some time in your life! Many, many thanks to everyone there!

Looked great but decided on something different...

Two families met and came together at the Rainbow Ranch. Little did we know we would be adding a third family...the Rainbow Ranch staff! We were addressed by name and made to feel like we were celebrating in our own home. All staff members were thoughtful and even some moved to tears by the wedding out back riverside. Which is no small compliment for a crew that witnesses weddings nearly every weekend during the summer months. A staff so committed that on our last night they ordered up a literal rainbow above the ranch for our enjoyment. Well, perhaps not but they called us in our room to let us know about the stunning view out back. This piece of paradise helps you forget about your daily troubles and allows you to reconnect with nature. We highly recommend sleeping with your windows open to listen to the sounds of the rushing river. The food is first class and for some culinary snobs it's no small feat. The rooms are rustic luxury with heavenly beds, linens, and towels. For seasoned travelers 'this is not your usual' complimentary breakfast, with fresh fruit & pastries, along with homemade granola. The coffee & tea service is even available most of the day, not too mention the homemade cookies delivered to your room on a nightly basis. We are so pleased, that our next trip back is right around the corner.

When you book with the Rainbow Ranch they say that you get a wedding cooridator, Mollie, to work with which sounds awmasing and explains some of the cost. Please do not be fooled by this. Mollie is hard to get a hold over and often forgets to get back to you on things like she promises too. They also missed up 2 of the room reservations; including mine! Which meant that we were booted from the Honeymoon suite becuase she had doublebooked it!!! They also tried to charge us extra for things that we had already negotiated the price of and I had in writting from her (of course I didn't think to print off ALL of the emails I had received from her and bring them with me!). That said, the location is truly spectacular abd the food was to die for. Overall, it was the perfect place for the perfect wedding and I would recommended it to others. Just be sure to keep track of all aggreements and bring them with you!
