Excellent location, close to venue, easy getting to altunative resturants, excellent service. All out of town gurpests very complimentary!
If you do not have your reception at this hotel, they do not want your business. Even if you have 50+ people who want to stay there. We planned to use them as our hub hotel for our downtown venue. They were completely unhelpful, inflexible, overpriced, and arrogant. They know that they're the only real choice downtown, so they don't have to care. We couldn't get a discounted wedding party rate unless we paid for 90% of the rooms in advance. Who does that? Then they told us there was a slightly discounted rate, which when people called the reservation line were told was no longer available. Most of our guests complained that the reservation system was inefficient and expensive, and they ended up staying at another hotel. I wish I had taken my guests outside of the down area. We need better choices.
I had to change venues about 65 days before my event and my decor coordinator recommended the Marriott -- I am SO glad she did! Katherine at the Marriott was super fantastic! She moved mountains for me. Her "can do" attitude was amazing. She was so pleasant and responsive. The place was perfect and coordinated with our colors so that was an added benefit. The staff was completely professional and I barely saw them although we appreciated everything they did. Anything we asked for they generally accommodated an at the very least tried to accommodate! They were terrific. The attention to detail and ability to even anticipate my needs was terribly impressive. I was also floored at times but the quick turn around on request and inquiries. I sometimes wondered if I was their only client the way emails and phone calls were answered and dealt with! I cannot praise the service enough! However, the food was good but the presentation was OK. While I admit, I only saw some things, the vegetables in particular seemed a little limp and colorless. However, this is a VERY small thing. Several guest commented on the flavorful taste and ample portions!
Working with their wedding coordinator was great! She was very reliable and had great ideas. The location of the venue was perfect and they were easily able to accomodate our guests.
The hotel was great as well as the group rate. Everybody was extremely happy. I worked with Ashley Woodlief to arrange the accommodations. We got off to a rocky start with poor communication, but in the end she was great and everything ran smoothly.
My husband and I met in the same ballroom that we held our reception. So there was definitely sentimental value in the venue. The transformation of the ballroom was absolutely beautiful!
It was very well decorated and in the end the catering manager did a better job then we had anticipated early on.;It was very pricy and there are some things I would probably ask for differently before signing a contract.
It was perfect...the people catered to us beautifully, anything we needed, there was one man who was there to serve me with anything I needed and I had some weird requests during the night for different reasons (hammer, tape, baggies, etc) and he got them all, no questions asked. We then were able to extend the night an hour longer bc everyone was having such a blast!
