We had a wonderful experience with the Ralston Arena, everything turned out perfect for our day, they cater food & bar so that made planning easier on us! Our food was wonderful and the bar service was excellent! Overall we were very impressed with how our reception turned out on the banquet hall!
We just had our wedding reception at Ralston Arena and it was absolutely beautiful! The banquet hall has such a modern look and feel to it. The up-lighting in the hall is gorgeous and it is no extra cost!
The arena went through some staffing changes during our wedding planning process so I thought we were in for a train wreck. But it was exactly the opposite! Frank and Shantel stepped in and saved the day. These two were GREAT! They were very responsive to emails and all of our annoying questions. They went above and beyond to help us with all our last minute needs. They were there during our decorating process and the day of the wedding too to make sure everything ran smoothly.
PROS: When you rent the hall, it is yours for the WHOLE day. Your reception can start and end whenever you want it to. No time constraints!!! You don't have to worry about being out of there by a certain time and getting charged extra. Also, you don't have to worry about other weddings being there at the same time.
Food is AMAZING! We got many compliments on our food. Yes it is a little pricey, but it is right in the average ballpark for other Omaha wedding venues that require you to use their in house caterer. They also have a kids buffet that is cheaper so you aren't paying a lot of money for picky kids!
The staff will work with you to set up the hall any way you want it. I.E. dance floor placement.
The staff sets-up and takes down all your tables and chairs.
You can set up the day before your event as long as the room is not booked for that day.
They have an outdoor area with cocktail tables that yours guests can take their drink outside and enjoy the outdoors.
The Holiday Inn Express is right next to it which was fantastic! No drinking and driving!
CONS: They don't offer a drink package, meaning you pay for every drink/keg individually. However, they will let you set a limit on the number kegs you want to tap or the amount of money you want to spend on the alcohol. Shantel was GREAT about asking my dad if they should tap another keg and keeping him informed about the bar tab total.
This didn't happen to us, but it is possible that your wedding could be on the same day as something happening on the ice (hockey game, concert, etc.) Just something to keep in mind!
All in all, GREAT place to have the wedding of your dreams!! I only gave them 4 stars because of staffing changes, which they handled! I highly recommend Ralston Arena for your venue!
We had our wedding reception at the Ralston Arena this Spring and had an amazing experience. From the time that we booked the reception hall up until the day of the wedding, the staff at the Ralston Arena went out of their way to make sure our day was special. The price to book the venue included much more than what other venues offered. It is such a unique space and held 175 guests with plenty of room for everyone to move around. All of our guests raved about the food and said it was some of the best that they have had at a wedding. Amy, the event coordinator, was a dream to work with. She was extremely professional the entire time. The day would not have gone so smoothly if it wasn't for her. I would recommend the Ralston Arena if you are looking for an affordable reception hall that is very clean, professional, and beautiful.
Amy at Ralston Arena was great to work with!!! She went above and beyond to take care of all my needs!! As a bride you have enough to worry about the days before and the day of! She made sure I wouldn't have to worry about anything!!! The food was great and everyone there was so nice!!! The space was beautiful and large and the price was awesome!!! I recommend this place to everyone!!!!
