Went to a friend's Wedding that used this DJ Service and we were blown away! This is the best DJ Service we have seen! We have already been to all our friends wedding and it was nothing like this! We will be using DJ Scotty B for our wedding! Can't Wait!

We had Scott DJ our wedding recently, while he is a super nice guy, I find myself second guessing our night. I spent what felt like 2 months going back and forth on music choice alone. He allows about 60+ requests for the evening, I picked about 45 songs, (20 priority, 20 additional and 5 special requests). For the entire evening I think maybe 15-20 were played, other than that he went completely on his own and off requests. Meaning a lot of our wanted songs weren’t played. I requested what felt like 5 slow songs (including my parents wedding song and my in laws and it wasn’t played) it was switched with a completely different slow/country song. Scott and I also went over what music I would like played for cocktail, dinner etc. I feel as if he wasn’t prepared or just forgot or didn’t care because only maybe 15 songs I had apart of my requests was played. I believe we had 3 hours of reception time and an hour of cocktail so plenty of time for our requests. Instead he added in a ton of music and activities that we didn’t want (ie Cupid shuffle & red carpet walk??) in turn, a LOT of our guests didn’t choose to dance and there was even a point where it was just my husband and I on the dance floor to just keep up some sort of energy and try to set a tone that we were still having a good time. I had a guest tell me towards the end of the night when I didn’t see her on the dance floor tell me nothing made her want to get up and dance. That was really hard to hear as she is normally a life of the party (and 24). He forgot our dads names at one point and switched them, before our entrance he mixed up couples and I had to quickly fix it. I even didn’t know the photobooth attendant was bringing a “date”, I was told there was only 2 people so panicked when I seen 2 strangers walk in. Then luckily some guests didn’t show so they made themselves comfortable at some of our guests tables. But back to reception, there was a point where he switched songs and it was dead silent for a minute. I had guests coming up to me asking if I could make requests because they didn’t like what was playing and he wouldn’t play it but played “Staci’s mom” which was apparently requested by a guest. They were the only 2 on the floor and I was told he wouldn’t take guests requests. We also had no kids at our reception so we really had no preference what was being played and I feel like he was trying to be more cautious of our 5-10 70+ crowd, when we told him they wouldn’t care so we had a lot of like 70s, 80s slow songs. A TON of slow songs if I might add. He had a few good ones songs but not just the “vibe” I was envisioning for the evening and not like a “flow” from song to song. Mostly just like if I plugged in my phone. Just kind of disappointed, some guests still had a decent time but for the bride and groom a lot of our priorities were disregarded. As for ceremony sound system, we also had guests say they weren’t able to hear anything during the ceremony. He reassured us that he knew what he was doing as he’s done lots of weddings at our venue (came recommended to us from our venue) but still had guests (even our parents in the front row) not able to hear us. That was very disappointing. Just overall disappointed, especially with the amount of time and money we spent.

We hired R&S for drapery of our reception space at the Veranda at the Whitcomb (St. Joseph, MI) over Memorial Day weekend of 2018. Not only was Scott wonderful to work with, but he also offered THE BEST pricing we were able to find for draping. Scott was quick to respond to any communications and was professional throughout the entire planning process! The day of, we were blown away! Our guests are still talking about how lovely the space was, and the starburst draping was a huge part of that. We had numerous guests taking photos of their elegant work all day! Thank you R&S – you made our reception a huge success!
