Ravello Ristorante and Caterer

We got married at Ravello this past Saturday on October 1st. Felipe and the whole Ravello staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to make everything perfect. They even went out of their way to place photos of my grandparents on the mantle in the cocktail room. We were bummed that it was raining and that our service could not be held outside, but Felipe transformed the ceremony room from just an ordinary room into a room that looked like a chapel! Our friends and family have not stopped complimenting us, and telling us what a great time they had! Our day was absolutely perfect from start to finish and we cannot thank Felipe and Ravello enough!

Had my rehearsal dinner there and boy was the food and service spectacular! My father in law and I are both picky eaters and we loved the food. Emmanuelle was fantastic - make sure to book through him. I highly recommend

When we booked our Wedding Reception at Ravello Banquets over a year and a half ago, Bill was the banquet manager. Needless to say, I was a little nervous and surprised to find out a few months before our wedding that Emmanuel had taken over. We quickly realized that there was no need to be nervous! Emmanuel was nothing but supportive and helpful as we entered the 'crunch time' of wedding planning. He worked with us to honor what we had discussed with Bill in our contract, but was also creative and innovative to make sure that things were efficient and ran smoothly. It was evident that Emmanuel's priority was to make sure that our day was exactly what we wanted. We were in constant contact the two weeks leading up to the wedding- he even checked in on me the morning of just to make sure that I was doing okay! We could not have asked for a more picture-perfect day. When we arrived (a little flustered and a few minutes late from Friday-night traffic) he ushered us right into the bridal suite and made sure that we had food and drink while we were taking pictures. He was super helpful in tracking down people and making sure that we were always taken care of. Both the cocktail hour and reception rooms were BEAUTIFUL. He worked with all of our vendors seamlessly. When we asked to extend cocktail hour a little to accommodate for late-arriving guests due to traffic it was easily done. We have received so many compliments the night-of and days following the wedding. The food was delicious, the drinks were flowing, and everyone had a blast! One of our good friends is a chef- she couldn't stop complimenting how delicious everything was! So many people told me that they thought that the venue was absolutely gorgeous. We're thrilled with our choice, and would do everything again in a heartbeat.

After searching for countless venues in New Jersey, we came across Ravello's. When we first booked it, Bill Chriswell was the general manager. He envisioned our dream and we were sold. A couple of months into planning, Bill retired and the new general manager, Emmanuel Kavalos took charge. I must admit that at first, my now husband, Alex and I were nervous about the change. Can you imagine that after months of wedding planning, your main contact person for the venue retires and is replaced?! PANIC ATTACK! Lol. Thankfully, Emmanuel turned out to be absolutely AMAZING. He reassured us that whatever we had previously discussed in our contract would remain the same. He was very prompt in responding to our emails and phone calls. He was extremely flexible with meeting us in person, answering all of our questions and concerns, and reassuring that whatever we wanted, we would get. The day of our wedding on August 8, 2015, the staff was incredible. Our Maitre D's Sam and his brother (whose name I cannot remember, my apologies) were incredible. From the moment we arrived at the venue, we were greeted with drinks in the bridal suite and made sure we were comfortable. Emmanuel was also very courteous and made sure everyone was comfortable and prepared as we waited for the ceremony. During the ceremony, the garden was absolutely beautiful. The flowers and bushes were well trimmed and looked fantastic. All of our guests love it! After the ceremony, cocktail hour was amazing! So much delicious food and great drinks. By the time the reception hour came, everyone was stuffed from all the food at cocktail hour! Lol. During reception, Emmanuel and his incredible staff made sure all of our guests were having a good time and that my husband and I always had our drinks in hand! They kept refilling our cups with whichever drink we desired and asked if we wanted more food lol. The staff at Ravello's is very professional and courteous. All of our guests said how incredible they were with everything. It's a little over a month later, and we are still getting praises from our guests. They tell us how it's the best wedding they've ever been to and how beautiful the venue was. Alex and I are forever thankful to Emmanuel and the entire staff at Ravello's for making our special day memorable. Any venue can be beautiful, but if the staff isn't professional, it will definitely be a negative experience. Thankfully, we had the whole package. Beautiful venue, incredible staff, and delicious food and drinks. Thank you Ravello's for our amazing day!! I would recommended this venue to anyone looking to get married at an affordable price! I couldn't wait to review the Ravello for any couple that is currently searching for a venue. My husband and I just got married this past weekend and we can't stop talking about how perfect the entire day was and a huge part of that had to do with the experience with the Ravello! I’d like to say that it’s a hidden gem and anyone recently engaged should definitely check out this venue! The day was amazing and everything we ever dreamed it to be! The process was so easy with the Ravello-I can't say that enough! And they are so reasonable for EVERYTHING you receive with the package! There were no hidden fees included as there are with many other venues we looked at. The Ravello has character. My husband and I were looking for a unique place that wasn’t the typical cookie cutter wedding factory. The Ravello only has one wedding at a time, which is sooo nice! We had the ceremony in their gardens. The gardens were nicely manicured for our wedding day. There is also a nice little waterfall, which is nice for pictures. Bill Chriswell and the maitre'd Danny were top notch! There is no other word to describe them. Bill was helpful and responsive from the moment I contacted him. Many times when I emailed him, he responded within an hour. He has a calm and personable demeanor. Danny was so helpful and was ready to get us ANYTHING we needed. Anytime either of us looked or turned, there was a staff member asking us if we wanted a drink or needed anything. For our wedding, each table had their own attendant. They also had red and white wine bottles at each of the tables! From what I could see, every table received their appetizer and meal at almost the same time, which doesn’t usually happen at bigger banquets. We had 160 people at our wedding and the Ravello could handle it! On our wedding day, when my bridal party and I got to the bridal suite, we were immediately greeted with platters of cheese and fruit, bottles of wine, pitchers of soda and water, and a staff member to ask my bridal party if they wanted anything else. From the time we entered through the door until 11:30 when the staff was helping us load up the car with our gifts, they were there to serve us. Danny had anything left over, like our guest book, frames, bouquets left, the top layer of our cake, cake topper all boxed and ready to go for us! We didn’t ask, but when we finally looked-everything was there for us! The food was amazing! People were calling and stopping by on Sunday to talk about how great the food was at the Ravello. I think most of the guests were stuffed after cocktail hour! Also, the cocktail hour is in a different room that has plenty of tables. Lots of times when you go to weddings, there aren’t enough tables to sit down and eat at cocktail hour-well we had an entire other room for everyone to sit and enjoy! We also had a viennese dessert hour which was to die for! From ice cream, cannolis, zeppoles, it didn’t stop! The staff just kept filling cannollis for our families and guest. The wedding cake was so delicious. Usually at weddings, people don’t eat the cake. Bill arranged this for us. We didn’t even give him a picture, but I told him we were having a beach theme wedding. He had the cake look like it was sandy and they had shells around each layer. The bars in both the cocktail room and reception were gorgeous wooden bars. At most weddings, there are wheeled carts to serve drinks. Not here, and our guests took serious advantage of it! Thank you Ravello
