RD Events & Design is available to coordinate celebrations throughout the entire state of New York. In your complimentary consultation, you will be invited to chat with Rachael about all the ins-and-outs of your dream celebration. From there she will assist you in crafting the perfect package, offering full planning, partial planning, and day-of coordination services. A full range of a la carte options are also available, including venue and vendor research, wedding websites, stationery design, and more.

Rachael and I clicked from the second we got on the phone. I knew right away she was going to help make this a stress-free process, and that she did. We worked with Rachael for our October 2023 wedding at The Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York. I couldn't have been more appreciative for her opinions, advise, and organization. Rachael helped me to create my vision for our wedding and executed it flawlessly. She was easy to communicate with and I felt like I could be honest and myself. Rachael had total control over all the vendors we utilized (even the last-minute additions) while also being there for me 24/7. Throughout the wedding planning process, she was the best friend I never knew I needed. Rachael is professional, calm, but also makes you feel like family. She is so passionate about what she does and you can tell from the minute you meet her. Our guests were also obsessed with her - She's an amazing people-person and someone you want by your side. My only regret was not finding her sooner. Rachael is your go-to wedding planner and coordinator. If you choose to work with Rachael & her team (which you should) your wedding day will be flawless, special, and the most amazing day of your life.
From the moment Rachael and I got on the phone for our first consultation, I was ready to hire her. She just understood me and our vision for our wedding immediately and was so passionate and excited as we chatted about what this day could be with her help. I cried when I got off the phone because after being engaged for 6 months, feeling overwhelmed and having absolutely nothing planned, I finally felt like my dream wedding was possible.
Rachael is calm but passionate. She is loving but professional. She is exceptional at her job and truly thinks of every little detail. She pours her heart into every wedding she takes on. Rachael actually got engaged shortly after we hired her and was simultaneously planning her OWN wedding and I never once felt that our wedding wasn’t prioritized. She is one of the kindest humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am from NJ and we didn’t get to meet until the wedding weekend began, but I loved her from afar since day 1. Wedding planning can be overwhelming and there are many decisions to be made; I definitely started to feel fatigued after a certain point - but any of the details that I didn’t have a strong opinion about, she just knew what I would like and took those stressful small things off of my plate. During the planning process, she not only made sure we were on top of everything - from booking vendors, to payments - but she also genuinely cared for my now husband and I and made sure we were doing okay mentally.
The actual wedding day was nothing short of perfect, all thanks to Rachael. She planned our timeline meticulously but always left some wiggle room. She worked with our florist (who was also her wedding florist!) to bring my wildflower garden dreams to life and it was absolutely breathtaking. The band we hired was fully off of her recommendation (thats how much we trusted her) and they were unreal and had our guests dancing the entire night. She bonded with our incredible photographer, McKenzie McNeil (HIRE HER!!) immediately and they were absolutely adorable, genuinely joyful, enjoying the day alongside us and our guests. Every single vendor we had raved about her and not only vendors, but family members and friends, too. They all got to know Rachael over the course our wedding weekend & I cannot tell you how many of my loved ones took the time to mention how fantastic and special she is.
We had some stressful hiccups, mainly in the final week prior, as most weddings do. Rachael’s calm presence was the only thing that soothed me in those difficult moments. I was able to stay surprisingly relaxed day of, and I owe it all to Rachael ensuring that by the time the wedding day rolled around, there was nothing to worry about or focus on aside from marrying the love of my life. She has become more than a planner, but a true friend. I am forever grateful that I somehow found the most incredible human to plan our special day. There is no way I would have ever been able to plan our wedding without her. I know I’m rambling but there are truly no words to ever describe just how immensely thankful I am to Rachael and honored I am to know her heart. Her passion for her work is beyond beautiful and inspiring - it brings a smile to my face just thinking about it. I’ve said this to her a million times already but she is a superhuman and a saint. The best day of my life came and went but my love and admiration for Rachael and her work at RD Events & Design will last a lifetime.
From my very first consultation meeting with Rachael, I knew she was the right planner for me! I am a normally anxious and stressed person, and that initial conversation that we had, I immediately felt at ease. Speaking with her for that first time I felt like I was talking to a longtime friend. She is incredibly down to earth, easy to talk to, and very organized. She has so much knowledge with the wedding industry and so much experience, I knew right away that working with her would be well worth it. And it was! We hired Rachael as our wedding planner from the very beginning and she helped us choose vendors within our budget, did a lot of research on the right vendors for us and remembered literally everything that I said during our meetings, which I appreciated so much being so detail-oriented myself. She gave us excellent advice and tips throughout the entire decision-making process and was very honest. She always kept us in the loop with how we were doing with our own planning timeline, and what her schedule looked like, so we always knew what to expect if we were awaiting a response or answers to something. I looked forward to every meeting that we had because I knew she would put my mind at ease for all things wedding related. She remained on top of everything, and we never felt like we were falling behind during the planning process. When the wedding day finally came, this overly dramatic and stressed bride was COMPLETELY CALM. I owe all of that to Rachael! I was so shocked at how chill I was because I knew that whatever happened that day, she would be there and I had absolutely NO worries, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day! I would recommend Rachael to anyone I know getting married and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

We booked Rachel for a weekend package. She was incredibly thorough and thoughtful and kept the day running smoothly. She quickly saw our vision and was able to make decisions on the day of that kept me worry free. It’s so important to have someone on the day to put out the fires, and Rachel did it with grace and laughter and without me even noticing. 10/10, five stars, would marry my husband all over again just to work with her!
Hiring Rachael was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. Rachael exceeded all of our expectations and helped to make our dream wedding a reality. She has excellent organization tools available to her clients and a month by month plan that will ensure all tasks are complete. She was so patient answering all of our questions along the way. The wedding day came together beautifully and we were beyond happy with the results. Rachael is so amazing at what she does, you cannot go wrong in choosing her to be your wedding planner/coordinator. I truly cannot say enough good things about Rachael and all that she did to help plan and coordinate our wedding day. From Day 1, she felt like a friend (a friend armed with a super-detailed checklist and really helpful online planning tools, as well as in-depth knowledge and understanding of event planning and the wedding industry as a whole LOL). Throughout the planning process, she was endless amounts of helpful when it came to design ideas, vendor communication, and troubleshooting any issues that came up; I really appreciated her quick communication, how she'd offer her opinion in different situations, and how whenever we talked it felt like she was totally focused on my event despite the crazy number of other events she was simultaneously managing. The wedding day itself turned out beautiful - it went so incredibly smoothly and was so stress-free, and I know I have Rachael (and her amazing timeline) to thank for it!
Rachael was such an amazing wedding event planner/coordinator! She took all of my dreams and made them come true for my big day. Rachael helped make the planning process feel like a breeze and also helped my big day run incredibly smooth. Not only did Rachael do everything on the big day she even did small things like provide me with advil and tampons when I needed them. She literally thinks of everything! Book with Rachael and you won't regret it!
Originally I didnt even think of hiring a wedding planner. But I am so thankful I did. The whole process with Rachael was easy. I never felt stressed out in the slightest bit she went above and beyond for me and my wants/needs. She helped me work around my budget and did more than asked! I couldnt be more thanful for her and for making our day the most pefect day ever! Do not hesitate on the decision of hiring a wedding planner. You wont regret it. Also being a photographer from experience in the wedding industry I have seen many bad wedding planners and it can truly ruin the bride and grooms whole day. So that being said make the right choice and go with Rachael!
My daughter's wedding day was a perfect day and we could not have pulled it off without Rachael Demling. Her enthusiasm is contagious, her confidence and experience are reassuring and invaluable. She is extremely adaptable (and energetic!) too-ours was a constantly changing event due to Covid and Rachael was one step ahead, leading and reassuring us the whole way. I would absolutely love to work with her again, for any type of event!
Rachael was a huge part of making our wedding incredible. Starting with the early planning, she helped us find the best vendors and made suggestions for things we hadn’t even thought of. Then when we completely changed course from a 250 person winery wedding to a 30 person backyard ceremony with COVID, she was on it and didn’t miss a beat. As we got closer to the date, she made sure all of the details were buttoned up and that everything was accounted for. And the best part was probably the day of, where everything ran incredibly smoothly and everything was taken care of behind the scenes. Cannot recommend Rachael highly enough. Don’t walk, run to book her before her schedule fills up!
I truly can't put into words just how thankful I am that I booked Rachael for my wedding! She was incredibly helpful and I don't know how we could have done it without her. From day one she was so fun to be around, kind, patient, thoughtful and always went above and beyond. We always felt like she cared so much about our wedding and about us as people.
She adapted to our needs and brought us amazing ideas, connected us to special vendors that we loved, and handled so many tasks with professionalism and patience even when our plans majorly changed.
On the actual wedding day, I was so calm because I knew everything was in good hands with Rachael. Everything went so smoothly and she not only kept everything organized but helped gracefully adapt our timeline when we wanted extra time for cocktail hour and was never pushy or stressed.
Rachael's thoughtfulness, eye for detail, willingness to get to know you and what you need, creative vision, and kind personality make her the perfect event planner/coordinator/designer. I'm so thankful she made our wedding so much better and less stressful than it would have been without her. Looking back I wish we booked her so much sooner and I would recommend her to anyone planning an event (big or small) in a heartbeat!
Rachael was not only my wedding planner but ended up becoming an incredible friend in the process. Planning a wedding is hard and Rachael kept us in the loop on everything regarding vendors and design and NAILED our wedding. The best compliment we got was “your wedding was so fun because it wasn’t a cookie-cutter wedding” and that’s all thanks to Rachael. She is responsive, articulate, knows the industry, won't try to make you spend a fortune, and is just fantastic.
From the day we hired her, she knew every question to ask and what our style was. From there she gave us various design boards to choose from or mix and match from. She worked with all of our vendors, which was a HUGE help since we were planning our wedding from Dallas. She was tremendous in handling a family member who challenged and questioned a lot of what we were doing and made sure they were quiet and didn’t try to take the attention away on our day. As the wedding got closer, she ran through the day of the event with us and each vendor, was there to answer any questions, helped us determine a good menu, and honestly just took away any issues or problems that came up.
What's more, she was there for us on the day of the wedding, providing us encouragement, support, and just overall happiness. Part of feeling sad after your wedding is that it’s a huge high and suddenly all over and we personally feel sad that we don’t get to plan with Rachael anymore. She is an epic and talented wedding planner and will make your day more special than you could ever imagine.
I don't even have to words to express how much Rachael at RD Events & Design SAVED my wedding! I went into the wedding planning experience with no idea of what to expect and as the date was a couple months out, I started to realize that I was in waayyy over my head. My wedding was 250 plus people at a DIY venue. I had all of my vendors booked but started to realize that I had no idea who would organize them the day of, or how to create a timeline of events, or run a rehearsal or any of it! Even though I booked Rachael for day-of coordination, she met with me multiple times to do a walkthrough of the space and was in constant contact with me in the weeks leading up the wedding. I was delusional if I thought that I could have pulled this off without her! She was assertive and organized with my vendors, advocating for my needs as a bride, she created a detailed timeline for my huge bridal party and she adapted LAST MINUTE when the entire ceremony had to go from outside to inside because of torrential rain ( which she tried to warn me might happen but I was in denial). In the face of all my freakouts she stayed upbeat, positive and calm. I'm actually going to miss being in contact with her because she was such a comfort in the last couple of weeks and I feel like I'm saying goodbye to a friend! If you are on the line about hiring a coordinator do yourself a BIG favor and hire Rachael Demling. She is superhuman. You need her, trust me!

After a couple years of college and changing my major a handful of times, I decided to stop and take a leap and reach out to a local venue and share my dream of being an event planner. Years later, and many, many events coordinated and planned across Upstate NY, with many colleagues and friends telling me to "just do it," I created RD Events & Design.
