We had the absolute best experience hosting our wedding at the Red Clover Inn. Upon first visiting, we fell completely in love with the beautiful scenery and private seclusion that the property boasts. The grounds, the main historical inn, the carriage house, and the farm house are immaculately kept and decorated combining rustic and modern elements throughout. We shared the Claire room and it is breathtakingly beautiful with a private balcony, high ceilings, fireplace, four-poster king bed, full bath and soaking tub, and sitting area. The property was perfect for hosting our family and bridal party for the weekend onsite and exuded such a warm, home-away-from-home atmosphere for us and our guests.
We cannot thank the owners, Venetia and Mark, enough for their impeccable hospitality, organization, and coordination of the most magical day. Throughout the entire process of planning our wedding, Venetia made our decision making extremely easy by providing us with extensive timeline planning, vendor suggestions, and an overall vision for how to best set-up our wedding from rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks to our ceremony, reception, and after party. She truly was there every step of the way to provide any help and support that we needed.
Not only were Venetia and Mark amazing hosts, their staff at the inn was so welcoming and helpful. Every single staff member that was there to help run our event made us feel so at home in this space and so, so beyond special. We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect weekend to celebrate with our family and friends and we will definitely be returning to the inn for visits in the future. This place holds such a dear part of our hearts and we cannot recommend it enough to couples looking for a romantic, intimate wedding in the heart of Killington!

We planned a weekend getaway wedding for my daughter at the Red Clover Inn and it was amazing! Guests remarked how they loved their accommodations, with its quaint charm but modern updates. Plenty of space on the grounds for lawn games and socializing by the bonfire. The outdoor hot tub was a treat. The owner, Venetia, made sure everything looked its best for the ceremony and the reception. Provided during our stay was a nice self serve breakfast, with beverages and snacks available throughout the weekend.. One of Venetia’s employees, Sheila, was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to work with. After a short period of time on the grounds we felt like we were in a well taken care of home with staff eager to please. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Rutland/Killington area I highly recommend the Red Clover Inn.

My husband and I got married at the Red Clover Inn this Spring and we cannot overstate how incredible it was. We looked at a ton of venues, but ultimately picked the Red Clover because it perfectly aligned with the aesthetic we were going for. The venue is rustic, charming, secluded, has a rich history, and the backdrop of the green mountains is just stunning. We also really liked how about half of our guests could stay onsite with us the whole weekend and just hang out together. The pricing also aligned with our budget.
Additionally, the owners of the Inn are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Venetia & Mark just went absolutely above and beyond making our wedding weekend extra special. It’s really the little surprises that hit you in the feels. Venetia made this adorable welcome sign for us that had our name on it, there was champagne waiting for us in our suite when we arrived as well as a delicious charcuterie board. She also put together a gorgeous Chuppah for us which blew us away.
My husband and I, along with all of our guests, can’t stop talking about what an amazing time we had and how perfect of a weekend it was. Our guests also commented on how beautifully everything flowed on the wedding day itself as well as how amazing all the staff was.
I highly recommend the Red Clover to anyone looking for a weekend getaway wedding where you can have people stay onsite with you and who love a beautiful New England setting. Mark & Venetia and the Red Clover Staff do really great things, and we’re so grateful that we picked the Red Clover because we have the most perfect memories to look back on for the rest of our lives 💗

The Red Clover Inn is an absolute hidden gem of a wedding venue. We were able to book a date about 1 year in advance, and we really enjoyed having the entire Inn and property to ourselves for the weekend with our guests. We were able to host a fun, casual welcome pizza party for all our guests, and then the next day had a beautiful outdoor ceremony under the apple tree, and finally an awesome reception dinner and dancing floor in the back yard. The venue and the area was perfect for our outdoors focused wedding. Its close to lots of fun nature activities (biking, hiking, great restaurants), convenient to nearby hotels and store (10 min drive away), with beautiful mountain views the whole time. The Killington area was gorgeous for our June wedding, and I’m sure all seasons are special at this location nestled in the Green mountains.
The rooms at the Red Clover Inn are beautifully maintained, elegant, and spacious. Having the entire inn, we were able put up our entire families for the weekend, as well as our wedding parties in the carriage house, and a group of friends in the farmhouse. The detached farmhouse is an amazing space, and we were able to utilize it as an additional hangout space while preparing for the weekend, and as a place to continue celebrating with close friends once the official party wound down. The hottub was also a big highlight. The spacious backyard allowed for our guests to play ample lawn games and enjoy a bonfire both nights of the weekend. The indoor space was of the inn was beautifully decorated, with an excellent tavern room and separate sitting rooms, and was spacious enough to accommodate our 120 guests while a spring shower passed overhead.
Carol, the innkeeper and day of coordinator really did an incredible job in organizing the wedding weekend. She gave excellent advice and guidance during a rehearsal on Friday, helped coordinate great bar service and pizza from an external vendor on the Friday night outside underneath the apple tree, and then was extremely helpful in coordinating our DJ and photographer. She had the venue set up and ready to go without us having to worry, and on the day of our wedding she ran the show to make sure that my wife and I didn’t have to worry about anything besides getting ready. Her husband Mike cooked an amazing wedding dinner based on our choice of entrees, and the serving and bar staff were wonderfully kind, helpful, and talented (many guests commented on how good the cocktails were and how fun the staff was!). Carol and the Red Clover staff provided the ideal combination of allow us to create the weekend of our dreams on a gorgeous property in the mountains, while also providing guidance and options for us to choose from so that we knew where to start and what to think about. We are very glad that we chose the Red Clover for our venue, and look forward to returning to stay at the Inn in the future!

An absolutely wonderful experience! From start to finish RCI gave us an amazing experience that I would have never imagined we'd be capable of having. The property is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was very accommodating. If you want a personalized experience, from someone who truly cares about giving you the wedding of your dreams, this is hands down the best option in Vermont. My sister had her wedding here and I was so blessed to be a part of the wedding party and get to stay at the property for 5 days with my family! I have been dreaming about going back since! I can't wait to book a girls getaway here as well. This venue is not just for weddings, it's a wonderful location for retreats, personal time away and so much more. Not to mention it's minutes away from Killington, hands down one of the best places in VT to ski!

The Red Clover Inn hosts the most beautiful wedding events. Not only are the grounds amazing, but the staff was punctual and flexible all at the same time. They even dress to impress! The ceremony was beautiful and the flow of the weekend wedding was wonderful. Carol knows what she's doing and it shows! I would love to have my own wedding here someday.

I officiated the wedding at the Red Clover Inn. It was nothing short of truly magical. The staff could not be more on top of making this event a true celebration. The place was absolutely stunning and the food was off the hook. Everyone had an amazing time truly bonding in the most beautiful space this Inn creates. Not only one of the best weddings I attended but one of the best events I have ever witnessed due to the staff, led by Carol and Mike and the Inn’s owners. Well done! Brava!

The Red Clover Inn is a wonderful wedding venue. The rooms, the grounds and the beautiful scenery are second to none. The staff works very hard to make your stay comfortable. My husband and I just held a small wedding at the Red Clover Inn. The wedding was perfect in every way possible. I still smile thinking about how well everything went during our wedding weekend.
Covid forced us to cancel a destination wedding back in August. We reached out to The Red Clover Inn and we felt very safe in the Covid/social distancing/screening policies they would use. I was scared that planning a wedding in under two months would be chaotic but Carol’s planning alleviated any fear. She helped make recommendations on local vendors, all of whom were top notch. Carol and Sarah were so delightful to work with, answered every question and gave great advice.
The setting was beautiful. The Inn is set back in the woods with the peak of Pico Mountain in the background. Tranquil is the way I would describe the grounds. I was looking into a custom arbor to get married under when Carol recommended using their apple tree. There is a huge, beautiful apple tree next to a pond. The branches drape over the wides. My husband and I could not picture a bedding wedding ceremony, all of our guests agreed.
My husband and I have been to the Red Clover Inn for a long weekend in the past and have always been impressed with the food. It is actually one of our favorite restaurants. We got to meet with Mike the executive chef and customize a menu for the entire weekend. We both can't state enough how good the food was. The rehearsal dinner, wedding day lunch, cocktail apps, wedding dinner and the breakfast were all phenomenal. We have both been to many weddings and this weekend's food was on a completely different level. All of our guests raved about the food, I was so happy.
As for implementing Covid policies, everyone got tested prior to the wedding. Sarah had a temperature probe to screen all the guests as well. The staff wore masks and we even had wedding masks made up for our guests. Everyone felt safe for the entire weekend, had fun and felt normal for the first time since March. We have had no Covid related issues since the wedding.
I would like to thank Carol, Sarah, Mike, Tom and all of the Red Clover staff for helping us have the perfect wedding. Every expectation was met and exceeded. My husband and I wouldn’t trade the weekend in for anything in the world!

We got married at the Red Clover Inn, and it was a beautiful venue. Under the apple tree was perfect for our ceremony before we moved to the tent for dinner. The food exceeded our expectations and service was great! We would stay at the Inn for a night just to have their breakfast! Rooms are clean and spacious, enough that most of us could stay there. Carol, our wedding coordinator, was so helpful navigating our wedding during the pandemic, and her staff completely pulled it off! From the second we picked the Red Clover Inn, Carol helped us with every step of the planning process. She is all business through the weekend and did not skip a beat on the wedding day. Every thing went as planned and she went above and beyond to give us our special day! We could not be happier, and look forward to visiting soon!

I was a bridesmaid at a wedding held at the red clover inn. It was a beautiful location, which i didnt know at the time but is home to the oldest apple tree in vermont. The couple had booked the whole inn solely for the wedding. So it was nice to have the whole wedding party in one place. The staff was remarkable and catered to the couples needs efficiently. The food was amazing and Carol was a god send. They made everyone feel at home and comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a picturesque comfortable venue in the vermont mountains.

The moment we stepped foot in the Red Clover Inn, we knew. It was warm, welcoming, elegant and felt like home. No other wedding venue that we visited was nearly as charming and picturesque. When we first met with Carol, the Inn’s Wedding Coordinator, we knew. She was personable, flexible and accommodating. No other wedding coordinator that we met with empowered us the way that Carol did – she reminded us that were the bride and groom, and that it was our vision she was going to help bring to life. This was a breath of fresh air after having met with many wedding coordinators across Vermont that made us feel as though we had to conform to their cookie-cutter vision of a wedding.
In the eighteen months leading up to our special day, we stayed at the Red Clover several times so that we could meet with vendors and review details with Carol. Being from Boston, this was extremely helpful. This was also a chance for us to get to know the staff and familiarize ourselves with the venue.
When we arrived on the weekend of our wedding, Carol and the entire Red Clover staff were already busy bringing our vision to life. They all worked so hard to make the experience easy and seamless for us. Their ability to focus on both the big picture as well as the small details was simply incredible. While the entire weekend was a whirlwind, we were able to let go of the reigns and enjoy every moment with our family and friends.
There are so many things we’d like to call out, but we would be remiss if we didn’t mention the food. Mike, the Chef, is a genius, and his food was one of the biggest highlights of the weekend for us and everyone who attended. He worked with our ideas and within our budget to craft a series of unbelievably delicious meals that we will never forget.
To Carol, Mike and the entire Red Clover staff, we can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for us. Over the last eighteen months, you have become part of our family and we plan to come back every year to see you all and remember our special day.

Carol and her staff are just amazing - and they took care of every last detail! Our wedding was everything we dreamed of! The Red Clover Inn is perfect for a Vermont wedding - big or small. The grounds offer many photographic settings and the FOOD.....so delicious. This place is a hidden gem in the Killington/Rutland area. We can't wait to go back and visit.

We were married at Red Clover Inn on June 11, 2016. We knew from the moment we got engaged that we would tie the knot at RCI. Like many couples planning their wedding, we were overwhelmed with the details. When we finally relinquished control to Carol and her team, they created a wedding weekend that for us and our guests that exceeded our expectations. The cuisine, accommodations and staff were exceptional. Needless to say, we continue to enjoy occasional weekend get-a-ways at RCI because we love it so much.

We got married at the Red Clover Inn in October 2018 and it was amazing! A few things that are worth noting:
1) Carol, the point of contact for weddings at the venue, is absolutely brilliant. She knows the area, the vendors, and every little detail inside out and really helps you put things together even from afar (we live in NYC). She is an excellent planner, really good on the day-of, has great ideas and is fun to work with
2) Carol is in line with all the other staff at the venue, which was a major reason we chose the place after visiting a couple of times. Everyone is just so nice and does everything to make it a great day
3) You get the whole weekend, which is fantastic as it allowed us so much flexibility on how to make the most of a destination wedding. We had lots of people traveling internationally so we wanted to make sure people had plenty to do. The venue helped us put on a rehearsal lunch and BBQ (food was incredible) with music, lawn games, fireworks and so many other little things. That was on top of the ceremony and reception the next day and then a brunch on the Sunday before we left. We really built out a plan and we couldn’t have done that without the flexibility of having the venue to ourselves and their help in bringing it all together
4) The recommended suppliers are all great to work with. A few standouts were the flowers and the cake provider, both recommended by Carol
Overall, we would heartily recommend it to anyone thinking of getting married in Vermont. We had the best day!

My wife and I got married at the Red Clover Inn on 9/15/18 and hosted a weekend-long wedding celebration. Absolutely INCREDIBLE wedding venue! The apple tree, romantic and rustic chic Inn, and the surrounding property give the entire place a magical ambiance. Carol and ALL of her staff (including all of the inn staff, chefs/kitchen staff, bartenders & servers, and housekeeping) are amazing and went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend flawless and stress-free. They are extremely flexible and take so much pride in their work; they felt like family during our weekend there. Seriously, the staff is what sold on us this venue vs. some of their competition in the area.
Carol is super attentive to details and literally took away any worries we had while always being patient, professional, and answering the bazillion questions we had throughout our 5-month wedding planning process. Her sense of humor and experience in hosting events is fabulous, and she does not disappoint. Carol and her staff made recommendations when asked, yet never intruded or questioned on our "musts." I think we took her up on every suggestion she did make, and her design skills are impeccable. The Inn is gorgeous and each room is decorated with such care and craft. The guest rooms are immaculate, as well as the property's landscaping.
A few tiny hiccups (super tiny, like DJ playing the wrong songs at the wrong time) occurred with outside vendors and Carol handled our vendors so promptly that no-one (ourselves included) even knew anything was going on. We really appreciated how well she managed not only her staff, but the vendors we independently contracted as well.
Additionally, the food for our wedding weekend (tacos for a welcome/rehearsal dinner and barbecue for our reception) was out of this world - thanks to Chef Mike Ryan and the kitchen staff! We really entrusted them to make the culinary decisions and we are so glad we did because everything came out perfect. As a matter of fact, most of our wedding guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had.
We also received so many comments from friends and family afterwards about how absolutely perfect everything was - and we completely agree. Easily one of the best weekends of our lives. We will definitely be back for future stays, and highly recommend this cozy inn as a wedding venue or just a place for a romantic getaway and to unplug for a weekend.

Red Clover Inn was an OUTSTANDING venue! Our day was even more amazing then we could have imagined. Carol Bon Petit the Innkeeper and Wedding coordinator made our day easy, fun and extremely memorable. She just gets it! She was so helpful through the process from the day we booked to the last call on the day of the party. The setting was breathtaking and made for such a variety of activities for all guests. Carol's staff was also fantastic. Each one was cheerful throughout and went out of their way to make even the smallest requests, seem important to us. We will revisit the Red Clover Inn for years to come and all of our first time Vermont-visiting guests are already looking to come back to the great state. For the most memorable experience, choose Red Clover Inn!

My Wife and I were married at The Red Clover Inn, on May 12, 2018. From the moment we walked through the doors Carol & her staff made us feel nothing less than family. Every concern was addressed promptly and we were always assured our wedding day would be everything we dreamed of. We worked with Carol for approximately one year prior to our wedding date, planning down to the smallest of details, she gave us all the resources we needed to stay on track and on budget for our big day. Come wedding weekend we had gained such a trust in Carol & her team we felt confident and stress free!! We could truly enjoy and soak in the time we had with our family & friends instead of worrying about getting the final details into place. We had a wonderful rehearsal and rehearsal dinner along with bonfire before turning into our cozy rooms for the night. Wedding morning we had a delicious breakfast and the whole inn was buzzing with excitement and happiness. Carol checked in frequently, giving updates on the set up process, along with making sure everything was "just so". SHE IS SERIOUSLY AMAZING! Walking down from my suite and looking out into the lawn seeing our family and friends sitting in the perfectly placed white wedding chairs and decorations just as I imagined looking through the books upon our first time at the inn is a moment I will never forget. Everything was PERFECT! The reception was a blast, with lawn games for all to enjoy, and lets talk about the food... TO DIE FOR! We chose BBQ as our dinner style and everyone, even the pickiest of eaters had nothing but good things to say! At the end of the night we were able to spend as much time with our guests at the bonfire as we wanted, we loved not having an "end time" for our celebration. My Wife & I strongly recommend this venu to you, best decision we could have made. 10/10!
PS: Don't forget to try Maggies cookies, YUMM!

We had our wedding and reception at the Red Clover and it was such a perfect experience. We took over the place for the weekend and they attended to everything we needed. All the planning leading up to our wedding day was really thorough but stress free. Carol made sure to communicate with us frequently and always answered our questions in a timely fashion. Carol has great working relationships with lots of vendors in the area. When working with the vendors it really felt like an extension of the Red Clover Family. They communicated with each other very effectively so it reduced a lot of work/time for us. The staff at the inn was super friendly and the place itself is gorgeous. The food was PERFECT!! All of our guests fell in love with the Red Clover and kept talking about how nice the staff was and that the setting looked like something out of a magazine. The staff made it into our dream wedding. We even spent our honeymoon at the Red Clover and it was an amazing week

My husband and I got married at the Red Clover this past weekend (10/7/17) and we could not be any happier with our choice of venue! From the moment we walked in for the first time in May of 2016, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Carol assured us that all of our wedding dreams could come true at the Red Clover and she did not disappoint! We worked closely with Carol over the last 18 months from New Jersey to create our wedding weekend. She recommended all of our vendors and each one was a perfect fit! Every detail we planned was executed perfectly including our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, breakfast and lunch for our bridal party, ceremony, reception, and farewell brunch. Carol took the time to get to know us as a couple and it was completely evident from all the special touches she added to our wedding. From the moment we arrived on Thursday, my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy the weekend because we knew that Carol had everything under control! We both felt so calm and just excited to get married! Our guests have not stopped talking about how perfect our wedding was. Our bridal party and parents stayed with us at the inn and they loved every minute of it. Carol, Maggie, Emma, Dylan, Thomas and Sylvia made everyone feel so welcome. Our food was delicious for every meal and many of our guests have already made plans to come back! We have visited several times during the planning process and will continue to do so for years and years to come. We truly feel at home at the Red Clover and consider the staff there our close friends and would not change a single thing about this past weekend!

My husband and I got married at The Red Clover Inn in September of 2016. It was the perfect location for our wedding and reception. The inn has beautiful grounds and a fantastic staff. Our wedding coordinator, Carol, and the whole team at Red Clover Inn helped us every step of the way. They worked directly with our vendors alongside my husband and I to ensure that everything was taken care of and our weekend was as stress free as possible. The entire inn was ours for the weekend which really allowed our friends and family to relax and hang out for the entire weekend. At the Red Clover Inn you are not one of many couples getting married that day, or even that weekend. You won’t be one of many people vying for a coordinator’s attention or be impacted by another wedding party trying to get a picture in the same location you want to get a picture. You and your guests are their sole focus for the entire weekend which makes it more than a wedding – it’s a weekend long party where you don’t have to worry about not spending enough time with all your guests because they’ve been hanging out with you the whole time.
The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained making it a great back drop for the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer raved about the property and they were right – it was a beautiful backdrop to our special day. My husband is a chef and as such food was a REALLY important part of our decision. One of the many great things at the Red Clover Inn is there is no set wedding menu. If you can think it, you can have it. Not only are the options limitless the quality, execution and presentation was impeccable. Our guests raved about the food from the rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, wedding reception and even the s’mores. We made a lot of the décor pieces ourselves but Carol and the team at Red Clover Inn took care of setting it up, breaking it down and even used décor pieces they had to really elevate the ceremony and reception spaces.
On the day of our wedding three of our guests had medical emergencies due to chronic conditions (everyone is doing well now). The team at Red Clover Inn were literally lifesavers. Not only did they get us through and helped minimize our stress and concern for our family they did it so well that our guests were still having fun and enjoying cocktail hour. The team shifted the timeline of the day around on a dime so that the guests weren’t impacted. No one wants to have a medical emergency on their wedding day but Carol and the team at Red Clover Inn handled things so beautifully, minimized our stress and really made sure that my husband and I and our friends and family had an unforgettable and amazingly fun day.
If you are looking for a place where you can truly relax and enjoy not just your day but an entire weekend, then the Red Clover Inn is your place. The food is amazing, the grounds are beautiful and the team is wonderful. I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else!

My husband and I were married at the Red Clover Inn on October 8, 2016, and I cannot be complimentary enough about our experience there. Choosing to have our wedding at the Red Clover Inn was the best decision that we made about our wedding. We had a totally smooth, flawless, and stress-free weekend. In conjunction with the exceptional Red Clover staff, we hosted an intimate 80-person weekend-long celebration that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
Innkeeper Carol PetitBon was the lynchpin of our experience. She is a wedding planning veteran with a wealth of experience. Carol and I worked closely together to craft a celebration that felt totally personal. She has planned many weddings at the Red Clover, and has an instinctive ability to suggest ways to make the day go more smoothly. Carol had many wonderful suggestions about ways to personalize the Inn. As a destination bride, Carol made it easy to plan a wedding from afar. She was always happy to talk and discuss details, even months in advance. I particularly appreciated her vendor recommendations. Carol connected us with our florist (Pittsfield Garden Center), DJ (MC Sounds), salon (Five Elements), rental company (Celebration), and cake baker (Trillium Fine Desserts). Each vendor was outstanding. When we arrived for our wedding, we met with Carol about the details of the weekend, and after that, we had nothing to worry about for the rest of our time there. She and her staff created intimate, stunning spaces in our tent and throughout the Inn itself, with no detail left out, throughout all of our wedding events.
Also deserving of special mention is the amazing food, created by Chef Jake. From Friday evening’s home-style barbecue rehearsal dinner, to breakfast buffets that left us warm and full, and especially our locally sourced wedding feast that had a bunch of foodies practically moaning in pleasure, each bite was a treat. We appreciated the special care he and the rest of the staff took for our friends who have special dietary needs. We received so many compliments on the food from all of our guests for the entire weekend, and we cannot wait to dine again at the restaurant for many years to come.
The staff was equally wonderful. Attentive, caring, detail-oriented –they are well-oiled machine. Beverage manager Thomas suggested amazing beers, cider, and wines for us. Bartender Dylan kept everyone well-supplied all weekend. The servers were always smiling and kind, and make it all seem easy. We felt so taken care of.
The Inn itself is very cozy, with well-kept, beautifully decorated rooms. It was the perfect size for our immediate families and our wedding party, and having all of them stay onsite allowed us to spend extra time with these special people. Everyone who stayed with us was very complimentary about the rooms’ comfort and amenities, as well as those of the common areas, which make it easy to hang out informally or find a place to have a quiet moment away from the group. Having the entire Inn to ourselves all weekend really made it feel like home.
My husband and I could not have asked for a better wedding weekend. Our guests all said that it was the best wedding that they had ever attended, and it was such a wonderful note on which to begin our marriage. We will always be thankful to Carol, Jake, and the rest of the staff at the Red Clover for giving us such a wonderful celebration, and of course we highly recommend the Red Clover Inn to other couples!

We met with Carol after a brief phone call, and since we lived in Montpelier, she offered to show us the facility and let us stay for free in the honeymoon suite for the night! She made us dinner reservations that evening, and she gave us a tour around the place.
Each room at the inn is named after a member of what I think was the original family who owned the property, they all have their own “personalities”. The rooms in the main bldg are smaller and more affordable, while the rooms lying in the surrounding buildings were a bit larger and have some nice amenities like hot tubs, fireplaces, and televisions. All the rooms have an old-timey new England Ski town feel, but all the modern amenities are provided. There is even a common room in the main building where guests can use the fridge, enjoy some fresh baked cookies, pop some complimentary popcorn, or have some tea/coffee!
The grounds include an outdoor Jacuzzi, a small pond dotted with lily pads, and gardens from which I’ve seen the chef picking fresh herbs and vegetables. They also are home to a stately apple tree, which was adorned with twinkling white lights both on the day we visited and on the evening of our wedding.
After a fantastic night of eating and touring, we ended up choosing to have our wedding at the Red Clover in August. Our parents and bridal party stayed right in the inn with us- site fees were waived, because they assume your guests will book all 13 rooms of the inn. They closed for our wedding weekend. The weekend of, I noticed there were thoughtful details all over the inn, such as wedding weekend schedules printed on chalkboards around the common areas, and another chalkboard at the check in entrance welcoming our guests!
The Clover caters all weddings held there, and they built us a creative and unique family-style menu not only for our wedding, but for our rehearsal dinner as well. Chef Jake outdid himself in creating the menu from scratch based on our few ideas. The rehearsal dinner was barbecue with multiple deliciously smoked meats and proteins, and our wedding dinner was a family style farm-fresh variety of dishes that amazed all of our guests. I can also attest to their dinner menu on a typical evening, and it was phenomenal.
Carol, as the point person for events, was responsive, flexible, and she has years of expertise and a great talent for wedding planning/ guidance. She was integral in making sure the vendors were all on the same page, and that the ceremony and reception went as planned. She worked with us on every detail, and anything we noticed that wasn’t going as planned she worked with us prior to the event to make sure we would be completely happy.
On the day of the wedding, Carol, as well as Brittany, made sure our reception and ceremony had a unique, beautiful and festive look (we had some ideas for décor, but not a fleshed out picture)Anyway, both Carol and Brittany made sure our wedding looked better than either of us had planned.
Our guests would not stop telling us how our wedding was the best they had been to in years, and how beautiful the Red Clover was for a destination wedding – we couldn’t be happier with everything they did for us to make our day as special as it possibly could be. We will definitely be back for dinner – we are already planning it for our one year anniversary
Special thanks to all the staff- Chef Jake, Carol, Brittany, Ethan and all the fantastic bartenders as well. We had a blast!!!

I was a Bridesmaid in my sisters wedding last weekend, and despite all traditions and superstitions of "expect at least one thing to go wrong during your wedding and move on", this weekend was flawless. My sister worked with Carol for a few months leading up to the event. Carol and staff were pro's who knew exaclty what the bride wanted before the bride knew she wanted it.
We checked in the night of the rehearsal dinner to beautful rooms. As part of the deal, there was no site fee if we booked the whole hotel, and I definately recommend doing that. I stayed in Claire, one of the fancier rooms. We had a King bed, flat screen tv, fireplace, balconey with chairs, jacuzzi hottub, and large shower. The stuffed armchair in the window got beautiful morning sun and the air vent next to the hot tub heated the floor for when you stepped in and out. We got ready in my room, and Carol brought us up glasses for our morning mimosa's, extra chairs to get our hair done, and kept us on track by checking up on us every once in awhile. Lunch was provided by the hotel at the request of the Bride. It was declicous of course, and varied, so all the picky eaters (im talking gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and 5 year olds) had more than enough options.
The hotel itself was a delight, with complimentary breakfast in the morning. My picky vegetarian boyfriend, as well as my picky five year old neice, both had delicious and diverse breakfasts each morning. Each room we walked through (we had run of the whole inn, again) had something new that we didn't know we wanted until we saw it. Fresh baked cookies and cucumber lemon water in one room. A keaurig with coffee and tea as well as bags of microwavable popcorn (and a microwave) in another. Couches strewn throughout, and each room had a wonderful view of the mountains or their beautiful inn. That was a especially helpful during the wedding.
The wedding itself was held outside, by the pond which is apparently regularly 'bombed for bugs', and the grounds are too. It worked, as I didnt see a single bug in the middle of August. The hotel crew set up the chairs, put out beautful end of the aisle decorations, with a chalkboard sign welcoming the guests. The rehearsal dinner was outside as well, under the apple tree which is wrapped in lights and provided welcome shade for some of our older guests. After the ceremony, the staff brought us some of the cocktail hour hordeurves, to make sure we got some if we were too busy with pictures. An old red barn provided a beautful backdrop for pics, as did a tunnel of birch trees.
The reception food was declicious. The bar staff was friendly and educated on their product, and handled any ornery relatives that didn't want to get cut off from the bar but should. Throughout the rooms were couches that were very welcoming late in the night. The grounds has a Jacuzzi that was the perfect way to end the night.
Throughout the wedding, the crew collected and saved many of the important or memorial peices of the wedding. Our bouquets were in vases by check out. The menus, the placecard holders, the brides gifts, etc were all saved and secured for us. They also had the brides phone, and my shoes! At a request from the groom they even packed up some of the breakfast for him to take with him (it was that good). Everyone really did everything they could to ensure that this was a memorable wedding for all the right reasons, and we will be forever greatful.

Our wedding on 8/20/2016 was so amazing that I literally cried as I drove away the Sunday after! Carol and everyone at the Red Clover Inn are so wonderful and were helpful from the very start. They took care of everything; I basically showed up Friday morning of wedding weekend and they handled the rest! I didn't have to worry about a thing. Carol had so many great ideas that I would have never come up with on my own! We never even looked at any other venues, this place was so perfect. The food is INCREDIBLE! I honestly can't say enough good things about it. Everyone told me it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. We consider ourselves to be "foodies" so this was extremely important for us. The drinks aren't bad either! They took the time to sit with us and figure out what we wanted for that whole weekend (food, drinks, decor, vibe, etc etc). The breakfasts that were included were amazing, I think my now husband had at least two plates each morning. Rehearsal dinner was outside and was also amazing. We hosted a lunch our wedding day as well and that was delicious and such a nice touch (another one of Carol's great ideas!). One thing I really love about the Inn is that it made our whole wedding weekend like a giant sleepover with all of our closest family and friends. We took over the entire premises and it was just like being at home. I can't think of a single thing that went wrong. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, especially the bigger rooms in the carriage house. We ate dinner and stayed before our wedding too, and we just truly loved every minute. We live locally and so many places around here have turned into "wedding factories" and I never got that vibe from the Inn or the staff. If I could give 6 stars I could. We love you guys!!!

The Red Clover Inn is truly one of a kind. The innkeeper, Carol, and the rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming to us on our very first visit to the inn when we were shopping around for a venue. Carol took the time to sit down with us, answer all of our questions, and invited us to dine and stay the night at the inn. This experience completely won us over, as we had time to fall in love with the property, the beautiful rooms and the food!
During our year of wedding planning, Carol was consistently available and responsive to our questions and needs. We also hired the tent company, photographer and florist recommended by Carol, and each of these vendors were FANTASTIC. She has great judgement and will do anything it takes to help you create your vision for the day.
Our wedding weekend was perfect. Almost all of our friends and family commented that it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended and that is largely due to the beautiful, peaceful setting in the mountains and the amazing staff at the inn. The attention to detail was impeccable, as Carol beautifully displayed signs, flowers, photographs and homemade gifts throughout the inn and tent. She was also incredibly attentive and helpful on our wedding day, making sure any issues that arose were immediately taken care of. Jake and Thomas, the chef and bartender, also helped us make a unique and personalized menu for our guests, which everyone loved. My husband and I 1000% recommend the Red Clover Inn, and look forward to visiting for weekend getaways in the coming years.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect. That's really what it comes down to. We have been meeting with/talking to Carol for about a year and a half and every picture, every idea I had she brought to life. Carol (and the unbelievable food) is the reason we chose the Red Clover. She instantly put us at ease, letting us know which of our ideas she thought more doable and reasonable than others. She kept up with the zillion emails I sent to her the weeks before our wedding.
On our wedding day, she made sure everything was done. She took the pictures I'd sent and the ideas we'd come up with and created the MOST BEAUTIFUL and magical setting for us to get married. Her staff is one of the most pleasant I've ever worked with. They all knew our names and were so unbelievably enjoyable to be around. They are extremely knowledgeable, professional, and unshakeable in any situation. Dylan is the best server I've ever had, and my husband is pretty much obsessed with him! Thomas is not only an amazing bartender, but one of the nicest guys I've met in awhile and I enjoyed our conversations very much! I honestly didn't think there were any issues on our wedding day (and if there were, Carol took care of it and never told me)
I would recommend the Red Clover to ANYONE looking for a beautiful, outdoor Vermont wedding. We will be coming back for each anniversary to relive that incredible day

We had our wedding at the Red Clover Inn in September 2015 after visiting countless other venues in New England. The cozy incredibly charming inn in the mountains had us totally hooked from the beginning! It's a gorgeous location and everyone who works here is so amazing; I cannot stress to you how attentive and catering and wonderful the staff is.
Carol, one of the innkeepers/event coordinator, is a beast in the best way possible. We explained to her what we wanted for our wedding day in terms of food, decorations, everything-- and, oh man, she gets it done!! We were initially having some trouble reaching our florist and Carol immediately calls her cell phone and got her to the inn that afternoon to meet with us! Like I said, she is a beast. There is nothing she can't do and she will go to bat for you in any way possible. The day of the wedding, she very quickly whisked us out of the Inn so she and her helpers could set up, and we came back to the most perfect beautiful scene. The Inn is beautiful in its own right, with its rustic charm, humongous apple tree, classic red barn-- but it was breathtaking this day.
And don't get me started on the food!! I work in a restaurant, so the food was my biggest concern, but the chefs very quickly diminished any fears I had. We were unusual in that we requested a whole pig roast, but the kitchen was actually really excited to help us out! The pig was so delicious, the sides and all of the beer and wines were perfect. We will 100% be coming back to Red Clover for years to come!!! Thank you so so so much!

We have stayed here several times throughout the year in preparation for our fall wedding. The staff have become second family to us. They always went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We booked the inn for our entire family to attend our wedding and everyone was so impressed with this beautiful location. With such a small staff they were so attentive, they still made each guest feel special. Everyone who attended our wedding was in awe of the inn and of course the food. We had a BBQ rehearsal dinner in the tavern area complete with pulled pork, mussels and clams, maple buttered cornbread, BBQ chicken, and warm potato salad. It was served family style and everyone went back for seconds! The chef spent all day smoking the pork and you could tell it was made with love! On our wedding day we started with a beautiful (not your average buffet) breakfast, thick cut smoked bacon, fresh fruit, hot Belgium waffles smothered in Vermont maple syrup and delicious crispy potatoes. Lunch was served to the bridal party in Claire's room. Overlooking the grounds of the inn and with views of Pico mountain, you have to stay in this room. The chef made us a beautiful spread for lunch including grilled turkey sandwiches and a beautiful garden salad topped with fresh salmon. After a flawless ceremony orchestrated by the innkeeper Carol we enjoyed venison meatballs, prosciutto wrapped shrimp, baked Brie and flatbreads during cocktail hour while each moment was being captured by Gabby of Winding Roads Photography. With 4 wine choices, Harpoon's "Octoberfest" and Crisp refreshing Champlain cider on tap our guests were delighted at the drink selections. After being introduced by our DJ Michael Coppinger of MC sounds everyone was seated for a most memorable wedding feast. The tent pole was adorned with stunning lighted tree branches, tables were elegantly decorated with beautiful flowers, lanterns and softly lit with birch tree candle holders. (Thanks to Trish of Pittsfield Garden Center) Our meal Began with the best corn chowder I've ever tasted next to a perfectly dressed salad. Followed by a choice of salmon, chicken or filet. I don't think a single plate went back to the kitchen with a morsel of food left on it! Chef Jake and Sous Chef Mike have set the standard for Vermont chefs. Their passion and finesse shine with each course served and their love for Vermont is apparent with the addition of local and fresh ingredients in each dish.
Obviously I can't say enough about our experiences at the clover. We can not wait to book our next weekend away.
If you're looking to have a wedding that your guests will rave about for years to come you have found it at the Red Clover!

My husband and I are from Western Mass and found the Red Clover Inn online as we were searching for wedding venues. We could go on and on about all the things we love about the inn, but unfortunately there is a character limit to this review.
Throughout our year-long engagement, we were in touch with Carol and other staff at the inn to plan the details of our big day. Carol was beyond helpful, friendly, and professional. She connected us to vendors and always made herself available via email and phone. We returned for two more visits after our initial tour to sit down with Carol and the chef to plan out the weekend. My husband and I wanted a very personalized wedding and the inn made us feel like they truly cared about us. We never felt like we had to pick from options they offered like many places make you do. Rather, we worked together and with Carol's advice and suggestions they helped our vision come to life. I left every meeting or phone conversation with Carol feeling very calm because I knew our wedding was in good hands.
When we arrived Friday afternoon of our wedding weekend along with our wedding party and immediate family (who all stayed at the inn) I realized everything would be taken care of for us. Carol and the other innkeepers set everything up beautifully. The staff at the inn are all extremely competent, professional, friendly, and helpful. They worked together to make all aspects of the weekend (including the rehearsal dinner, breakfast and lunch Saturday, the wedding dinner, and breakfast Sunday) go smoothly. There was not one tiny detail of the weekend that we weren't thrilled with, and we received many compliments from guests who were impressed with the beauty of the inn, the delicious food, and professional staff.
We can’t say enough about how happy we are that we found the Red Clover Inn and chose to have our wedding there. It is now a very special place to us and our families and we will return for years to come.
