Angela Rango-Patterson is beyond fantastic as a wedding planner. She was honest and always explained her suggestions as in your best interests. She simplified other vendor recommendations for us to look at as we had no clue where to begin. Her patience and kindness was a great help as well as offering many suggestions for all aspects of the wedding. She has a calm and in control personality that makes you feel that you are in good hands with her. Every vendor was outstanding and worked well with her even if they had not known each other prior. She juggled rain options perfectly to make it the absolute best day. The day of timeline flowed smoothly and we can't imagine having anyone else managing the entire 1 year process for us.

Angela, owner and lead coordinator of RDLE, was our Full Service Coordinator for our destination wedding in Tampa, FL (April 2026), and she was truly exceptional. From vendor selection and décor design to timeline planning and day-of execution, she guided us through every step with care, creativity, and professionalism.
I came in with a slew of wild and creative ideas about what would make the wedding feel like *us*, and Angela not only understood that vision, but elevated it, and challenged herself to make it something special. She offered fresh, realistic approaches, thoughtful solutions, fun concepts, and always respected both my and my [then] fiancé’s voices. I felt authentic investment from her, which was hugely encouraging throughout the process, and with her at the helm we executed the most meaningful day of my life.
Our wedding was backyard-style, so there were many unique logistical pieces, and Angela handled all of it seamlessly– from coordinating rentals to building out a full weekend timeline and managing a task lists. About a week before the wedding, she delivered a 19-page document that included layout diagrams, a detailed schedule, guest allergies, décor inventory, setup instructions, and more that was helpful for her day-of assistants, our families, and other vendors.
Her team of coordinators was equally hardworking, kind, calm, and genuinely invested in our plan and happiness. We loved them!!!
One of my favorite elements of our wedding was the “ceremony spiral” chair setup. I had originally envisioned a labyrinth-style entrance, which I knew would be too complicated, and Angela introduced the spiral concept as an alternative. It ended up being such a powerful and memorable feature. Our guests loved it, and her team executed it flawlessly, placing every chair with precision.
Angela and her team have an incredible eye for detail, communicate clearly and enthusiastically, and go above and beyond at every turn. We received multiple lovely comments from our guests about RDLE. Even our caterer told us she was the best coordinator they had ever worked with (and were surprised she was from out of state).

With a background in business, I began in the wedding industry by working for an award winning wedding florist as a business consultant. This life changing experience eventually lead me to fulfill a personal goal of becoming a wedding coordinator. I love being a part of such special events and take pride in making a client’s wedding vision a reality. I specialize in full-service event management and coordination!

What stood out most, though, was how much support Angela provided before, during, and after the wedding. She went above and beyond in every possible way, anticipating needs we didn’t even know we had. Her professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of the Columbus wedding scene made all the difference.

I was nervous about the design of my day, but walking into my venue - I could not have even imagined a more stunning space. the bride. Angela and her team anticipated needs and met them. Angela engendered confidence in the hiring of a particular vendor that was not tremendously communicative (it all went smoothly!). She also is masterful at creating an accurate and detailed timeline for the day. She stayed on top of timeline changes and pointed out ways to make things happen in a more logical way. We almost left the wedding without loading up our cars because we were so "in the moment" - not worrying about details that were being covered by the Red Letter Day Events team. I have told many people that if anything went wrong on the wedding day, I don't know what it was. We were able to be fully immersed in the sacred event of our kids joining their lives as one with the help of Red Letter Day Events.

was there every step of the way with vendor recommendations, design recommendations and and questions we had during the wedding planning process. Through planning meetings Angela made sure we were booking vendors on time, and had us think about items we would never have thought of ourseleves. She went above and beyond to make sure my seating chart was perfect, and organized all our catering meals and help with last minute guest changes. Her team Heather and Jen were with us the day of and made the entire day run smoothly. I got to fully enjoy the day without worrying about set up, tipping vendors, and everything in between. . They made our wedding day, and the months leading up to it, so much easier and more perfect than we could have ever dreamed of! As a couple that both work full-time+ careers, that is exactly what we needed.
Angela is organized, efficient, friendly, and caring. She takes the time to truly understand your vision for your wedding and goes above and beyond to make it a reality. She has a deep understanding of the industry, and provides tremendously helpful advice on what works and doesn't work. She also has an extensive network of vendor recommendations, which makes the process of hiring other vendors extremely easy.
Angela and her team ensured that we did not have to stress about anything in the weeks leading up to or the day of our wedding. They handled finalizing timelines and payments with other vendors, setting up our decor (and excessively large Youngstown cookie table), making sure the timeline ran smoothly...in sum, they ran the show and did it without flaw. Because of Red Letter Day Events, we were able to put all of our trust in Angela/team and actually be present for and enjoy every second of our wedding day. For that alone, we are eternally grateful!
While there are other choices in the Central Ohio region, Red Letter Day Events is the best bang for your buck and worth every single cent. Angela is truly the best of the best!

She came extremely prepared and knew how to handle all the little problems that arose pre-wedding and during the wedding. to problems we hadn’t even considered yet which I thought was especially telling of how great of a planner she was. Personally, my favorite part was Angela snagging one of the 20 Pizzas we ordered for late night food and hiding it away for Taylor and myself. Come the end of the night I looked over at the table and saw no pizza left and was crushed. Out of nowhere, Angela came forward holding a still hot pizza. Angela never skimped on the small things and was considerate of our time and our budget at all times. She sought to reduce costs wherever she could without reducing quality. I would recommend Angela to anyone for her thoughtfulness, thoroughness, and attention to detail.

every detail for our special day was perfect. Angela and her team were ready bright and early to help set up everything the day of the wedding. In addition, she makes time to head over to the church with the bridal party to ensure all things run smoothly during the ceremony. From there, she went back to help finalize the special touches and worked with the DJ, photographer, caterer, and videographer to be certain that we stayed on schedule. Lastly, Angela and her team at RDL helped with the final clean-ups. I would highly recommend RDL to anyone looking to plan their wedding. She is quick to respond to an email or a text, which was so helpful for us since we were on a time crunch. She also coordinated with every vendor that we used prior to our wedding to be sure the timeline was precise for the day of the wedding and that everyone was on the same page. My sister used them as her wedding planner too and I know we will be using Angela again for more events in the future! are one of those couples who have dealt with the impact of COVID-19 on our wedding day. On our original wedding date August 1, 2020 we opted to have a small 10 person wedding - or “minimony” - Angela went above and beyond helping us execute a small scale wedding - doing all the little things for us that day and helping us through the process of making the decision to celebrate in this way. We postponed our bigger celebration to July 31, 2021. We had a full wedding ceremony in our church and a reception for 187 guests. Angela was there with us beforehand reviewing vendor contracts, giving us her ideas and insights, and helping us think of things we never would have. She attended extra meetings and kept us sane those last two weeks before the wedding ! The day of the wedding was so smooth and that is largely due to Angela and Taryn’s presence throughout the days events. I honestly didn’t have a worry and they handled everything. My husband and I were truly able to enjoy our day! We even got time to sit and eat our meal!!
If you think you don’t need a planner - you are WRONG.
With the craziness of having two weddings over two years, we also had the opportunity to get to know Angela pretty well and we learned that she is not only great at planning weddings, she is a genuine and kind person too. You will not regret having Angela and Red Letter Day around for your big day. She is worth every penny and then some.

It was so nice to not have to deal with deliveries, setting up, tearing down, etc. She was a true rockstar who made sure I had a drink in my hand throughout dinner and even helped me get into my "reception" dress when I was getting too sweaty in my real one ;)

pened if we had not hired Angela. We hired Angela over a year before our wedding and she was so helpful with vendor referrals and answering my 1000 questions. But we didn't realize how much we actually needed her until about 2 months before our wedding. When DeWine announced in November that event guidelines were changing yet again we were completely devastated that our January wedding was not going to happen the way we had hoped. But Angela was right there with us. When we expressed our anxiety over having just two months to replan our entire wedding Angela said "Oh I've replanned weddings in less time than this. I've got this." The last two months before our wedding day I am quite sure that replanning our wedding was a full-time job that we just didn't have time to do. Angela essentially did it all. She helped us cut our guest list from 130 to 20, organized venue tours, coordinated with all of our vendors, and took care of all of those details that unless you're in the wedding industry you probably just don't think about. And there are SO MANY! When problems arose she didn't tell me about them until she already had a solution, which was HUGE for my sanity. And the day of the wedding went SO smoothly due to her planning, attention to detail, and focus on making our day perfect. It was the most perfect day and truly was the most beautiful wedding we've ever been to. We are so incredibly grateful for Angela and RLDE. Hiring them will be the best money you spend, I guarantee it.
