Rebekah Zachareas was the BIGGEST help in making my dream wedding become a reality. She was extremely organized, motivated, creative, and all around so fun to be around. She went above and beyond to make our day magical and special. Red Rocks was an incredible venue to have our wedding at. The views are stunning, the staff was attentive and friendly, and everyone had a great time. Thank you thank you for making my wedding day so special!
The raw beauty of the venue, excellent catering staff, and variety of options to accommodate your needs at an affordable price point make this venue a no-brainer (with a caveat). My partner and I had a wonderful brunch wedding and reception in the Red Rocks Trading Post's backyard. As geologists, we are biased about the visual aspects of the venue but, objectively it is visually stunning. The catering staff was responsive and accommodating. We really appreciated the number of options for decorations, catering menus, and general setup for both the ceremony and reception. They allow for a level of customization for your wedding that ranges from very simple to downright extravagant. They also rent out yard games, chairs, and many other general wedding day needs if you (like us) prefer to keep things simple. The venue's notoriety and proximity to Denver and DIA also make setting up and providing directions to the venue a breeze.
Generally, this is an absolutely awesome venue on the day of your wedding. That said, we did have issues with communication and coordination with staff ahead of the wedding. Our point of contact was switched out with another staff member a few months out and we were not provided any notice. After they were switched, communication with the venue wasn't quite as smooth. Aside from this relatively small issue, we cannot recommend this venue enough. This venue is perfect if you: love the scenic views of the hogbacks, are on a budget, need easy access for disabled or elderly family members, prefer a highly customizable experience, or close proximity to Denver/DIA.
The incredible views are only rivaled by the helpful staff and reasonable price point. I got married here 10/21 and it was the most special venue and everyone is still gushing about the views.
Planning a wedding here was SO easy, SO smooth. Samantha was super great to work with. On the actual day, Matt killed it as well as the entire staff. They wiped down the chairs IMMEDIATELY after we had a little sprinkle. It was all so smooth and so beautiful. It was more than I had hoped for.
While we were there, hail hit. This is the week after the bad hail storm hit during a concert. There was no alert, no instructions, and when we took cover under an awning outside the first aid area, a security woman (brunette, long ponytail, roughly 5'6") yelled for everyone to go to their cars (roughly half a mile away). A man asked for safety for his very young daughter or 5 or 6 years old (there was a door, that when it opened, had three people inside a decent sized room). She yelled no at him and to get away from the door. He was not asking for his safety, he was asking for HERS. That was a disgusting display of ineptitude. I flew from Florida to being my grown daughter. Never again. No one is safe under their care.
The staff was fantastically helpful. The catering was superb. The price was insanely competitive. Cannot recommend Red Rocks and their team highly enough for weddings or other events.
We had the most perfect day at this venue. Minimal decoration was needed because the venue itself is SO gorgeous. The day went perfectly. Inexpensive too! Events are run by Aramark and the representatives were very nice and helpful, but could have improved slightly in communication in the planning phase. Just make sure you know what to ask and be specific so you can get the most help and information needed.
We felt so lucky to get to have our wedding at the beautiful Red Rocks Trading Post backyard! Samantha and Evan did a good job answering our questions ahead of time and responding to our requests. They did have to reschedule our rehearsal/walkthrough somewhat last-minute, but other than that, everything went smoothly. Our guests really enjoyed the food (taco bar) and the relaxed atmosphere. We had a great experience here, but there a couple things to consider that might not be so obvious up front: 1. You can hear some concert noise, but it can be easily overcome by playing your own music, although you will need to rent sound equipment separately; and 2. While the venue staff did a great job keeping the backyard area blocked off and shooing away anyone that wandered in accidentally, there were still hikers and concert-goers passing by fairly frequently (this was fine by us, but if you’re looking for something a little more secluded, the backyard might not be the right fit for your wedding).
Special thanks to Evan and the rest of the staff there for welcoming our Dungeons & Dragons themed antics! 😊
This is one of those Denver secrets that's going to get out soon. My husband and I didn't realize you could get married here outside of concert season at an affordable price (no venue fee, only a food/beverage minimum). Not only that, you have an absolutely stunning venue which will WOW your out-of-town guests and also not give them altitude sickness (we were thinking of a mountain venue but much of our family was traveling from Chicago).
The Red Rocks staff is incredible. As soon as we met Evander, we immediately trusted him. He was super detailed-oriented and extremely responsive over email and phone. I couldn't sleep the night before the wedding and emailed him with a small request and he emailed back within the hour saying "yep, no problem at all." Damn!
We also didn't have a day-of coordinator, so we were a bit worried about that. But we were both able to just focus on us and our guests because the staff took care of those small logistics! Evander came to our rehearsal, assigned a coordinator for us during the Trading Post ceremony, set up our seating placements, and worked wonderfully with our vendors through out the night.
The food was excellent. This was a surprise to us because usually nobody remembers the wedding dinner... but we had guests commenting weeks later on the delicious meals. The staff also did a superb job accommodating our guests' dietary restrictions (we had a lot of them).
The best part of the night was the surprise that Evander gave us... he called our guests outside to the top of the amphetheater and lit up the rocks BRIGHT red. Holy crap, the pictures were spectacular. Imagine Red Rocks, lit up with a full moon, all to yourselves and your loved ones. Everything about it was perfect.
I honestly can't think of one bad thing about this place. Thank you Red Rocks team for giving us the best day of our lives!
I'd dreamed of getting married at Red Rocks since seeing a reception at the Trading Post. Picking Red Rocks as our venue was the easiest decision my husband and I made with wedding planning after realizing it was possible! Knowing my family would expect a church wedding, I didn't think the Trading Post ceremony part of my dreams would ever come true (Catholics believe that this sacrament must take place in a church). But although the pandemic made our original March 2020 date impossible, it did open up the possibility for a vow renewal ceremony — at the Trading Post! We ended up doing a small church ceremony in July 2020, then finally got to have our Red Rocks reception in November 2021.
Devin was an incredible venue partner throughout all the ups and downs. I've probably sent her 100+ emails between our original date and the actual event. I've been to Red Rocks to meet with her at least 5 times. She never made my questions or requests feel like a burden — she accommodated them all. Somer also helped day-of and ran the event without a hitch, at least none that I detected! I'm so grateful to both of these women for never giving up and making me, my husband, and our guests feel special.
We booked outside of concert season but Denver booked a concert on top of our event. Devin called me apologetically and asked if it was ok. She probably didn't expect my excited answer that it was no problem. I was STOKED to show our guests what Red Rocks was all about! Of course, I was a little nervous that the soundcheck or the concert itself would interfere with our ceremony or DJ at our reception. It was not even the slightest problem. We shared the Visitor's Center with concert-goers and it was such a fun experience. Everyone had a funny bathroom story and all the concertgoers were so happy and sweet to be around. At the end of the night, we caught a few minutes of the concert, ourselves.
The Red Rocks staff kept us well-fed and our glasses full! I have to admit that I was skeptical about the food — we didn't do a tasting. It way exceeded my expectations. The appetizers and dinner were so good. It's worth noting that Red Rocks is the ONLY Colorado venue I found that had an unlimited drinks package — a must for our family and friends if we didn't want to go into debt over this event!
Red Rocks worked seamlessly with all our vendors. If anyone had an issue, I didn't hear about it. Since there was no event the day before, they let us come in early and let us pick stuff up the morning after.
Devin, Somer, and the rest of the Red Rocks staff at our wedding — I am eternally grateful. It was a night I will never forget and will always cherish. I don't think our guests will ever forget it, either.
As a music or nature lover, you can NOT do better than a Red Rocks wedding!!
I cannot say enough about Devin and the team at Red Rocks Trading Post. The venue is absolutely stunning, the food was amazing and the value for this place is incredible. My wife and I had to book our wedding quickly, over a long distance because our original wedding venue double booked. Devin brought together the perfect wedding in a matter of months, and it was everything we could have ever dreamed of. The communication from Devin was great, and she was able to make the day perfect for us. I can't put into words how highly I recommend Red Rocks Trading Post!
I would give Red Rocks Trading Post way more than 5 stars if I could! Zach and I fell in love with Red Rocks after our first trip together August of 2018 when we visited to see Illenium. The space is breath taking. It is our spot. We go back to the same spot for vacation because we love it so much. When we got engaged on Oct 31, 2020 we did not know what could happen for us Wedding Wise due to the pandemic. However the one thing we knew we wanted was to have our ceremony there at Red Rocks close to the amphitheater we love so much. In February of 2021, I reached out to Red Rocks and Devin replied promptly. We wanted to try to get married in Denver in August of 2021 and sure enough 8-21-21 was available. Devin continued to be an asset for me as I am an out of state bride living in NC. She was flexible, available via email and even planned a couple video calls to help me see the space. Devin gave me recommendations when I needed it and we trusted her guidance and hired several vendors because of her. Planning a wedding ceremony at Red Rocks is casual and easy. Realize these folks work on many events so be patient as they are often working 7 straight days shows, concerts, weddings, events, etc. If you are an organized bride, it will go very easily. Every detail we discussed came together. Evan was there for rehearsal and day of and he had a perfect hand off from Devin. We loved the venue, the staff, everything. Splurge for the champagne and spend some time enjoying the view with your guests!! Everything about the Ceremony was even better than how we planned it in our heads. We will always have amazing images of the most amazingly beautiful space as the background for our Special Day. Thank you!!!
We toured many different venues in Colorado and we could not have been happier with our decision to go with Red Rocks Trading Post. It was so beautiful and incredibly gorgeous! Devin and the rest of the team were super helpful, responsive, friendly, and accommodating to all of our needs. They truly made the entire process so easy and we cannot thank them enough for making our special day so perfect!
Beautiful views and venue! Awesome team, and all were very helpful. They accommodated all our needs, and treated everyone very well. Some disorganization, but overall, I would definitely recommend this venue for all future events!
We hosted our son's rehearsal dinner at the Trading Post in September 2021 and. could not be more happy. Evan, Devin, and all of the servers that night were amazing. Evan even made us his own homemade sauce for our appetizer! The chef was flexible and made an appetizer based on the Bride and Groom's love of jalapeños. The setting was jaw dropping, even for those of us who are native Coloradoans. Thankful it didn't rain as there is very limited cover, but I would host events here over and over again. The concert going on was noticeable and not disruptive and really made it even more special. Only negatives... parking & no contingency for rain. HOWEVER.... worth the risk and inconvenience! Thank you EVAN & your team.... some of our favorite memories from the weekend!
This was the most amazing wedding site we could have ever imagined, It was made even better by Rachel R., our contact at Red Rocks who answered every question we had quickly and kept us updated thru the process. We were married on the Rock Room Terrace which was fantastic and Rachel had every detailed thoroughly covered and not to mention she was so sweet and professional to work with. Our out of town guests were floored at the views and our locals also raved about how cool it was to attend a wedding at one of their favorite spots.
There is no doubt this is the best venue in Colorado to tie the knot.
It was the best decision we made beside marrying each other!
Cant thank you enough Rachel! You were awesome to work with!
I want to say the venue was amazing and the perfect location of our wedding and the reception, which was the only good part.
After meeting with the Event Coordinator we asked how to make payments since we had a year before the wedding. Our contact person ended up changing three times by the time of the wedding. Neither Devin, Megan nor Perla ever gave us information to make payments before the wedding. In addition, they were difficult to get a hold of, and only communicated through email.
We had been told that Perla was our contact person weeks before the wedding, but a week prior to the wedding it was switched back to Megan because apparently Perla does not work on Fridays. Would you have not known this already?
The day of the wedding rehearsal, we had to call Megan because she was not there. She seemed very unorganized, and it almost felt like she was making it up as she went. The day of the wedding we had to have the Trading Post contact her because she was not there on time, again. Thankfully, the wedding went off without a hitch and was beautiful.
The wedding reception at the Rocks Room was beautiful, and we had a good time. As soon as the wedding ended, a Manager came to us asking to pay for the wedding in full, and they were trying to charge us for more guests than we had. I explained that they had the charge wrong, and they needed to fix it. The person who asked for the payment was again, someone we had never met before, and did not know the details of our contract.
After we got back from our honeymoon, I contacted Megan so that I could make a payment, but she never responded. Two months later, a new Event Coordinator named Rachel called and said we were going to go to collections because we had not made a payment. She was the first person to actually call us on the phone to discuss our situation. We eventually were able to go on a payment plan, and we paid it off.
This was the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.
You absolutely cannot beat the views here, and it’s close to Denver. They only have two ceremony time slots per day and we wanted to have the reception downtown, so that left us with a bit of an awkward gap between ceremony and reception, but I think people managed it well. The people we were originally working with at Red Rocks both left before our wedding happened, and the new contacts were a little less on the ball as far as communication and having us feel secure in what would happen on the day of the wedding. They were 45 minutes late to our ceremony walkthrough, which I was pretty upset about since my parents had come in from out of state for the weekend specifically for the walkthrough. However, the person assigned to us for the actual ceremony day, Whitney, was very helpful and great to work with. It was also a relatively reasonable pricing structure compared to some other site fees we saw. They also provided a water station for free (I don’t know if anyone took advantage because it was a little bit chilly/cold for mid-June right at our ceremony time). The other thing to be aware of is that there’s no controlling for when the band that is playing that night will be doing sound check if you do the afternoon ceremony time slot, and when you book you might not know what the band is. There was a funk band playing that night that happened to sound-check during our ceremony, but it wasn’t super disruptive. I also made sure to ask that our guests could use and wouldn’t be blocked from using the Lower South 1 lot for parking since the Trading Post lot is pretty small and was assured it wouldn’t be a problem, but found out later that at least one guest was turned away from the parking lot and ended up being late to the ceremony, so that’s not great. It’s also a semi-public space, as we had a group of boy scouts who were spectating during our first look at the ceremony site, and I heard about some onlookers during the ceremony itself, but I was so focused on what was happening I didn’t really notice. We are still thrilled we could get married at Red Rocks surrounded by the incredible views and scenery, and it was worth it for us, but just wanted to highlight some of the potential challenges and concerns.
Tyler and ARAMARK were amazing to work with. Seriously, Red Rocks was our favorite and easiest wedding vendor. Tyler was incredibly punctual in emails, always available to help answer our questions, very helpful every step of the way and went above and beyond for us. We were so thankful for their team. If you're looking for a really cool place to have your wedding reception, look no further than Red Rocks! Tyler and his team with ARAMARK catering and event planning is amazing. They are the best!
We were married at the Trading Post on 11/12/17. The entire process- from first contact with the venue to the ceremony was easy. This was especially important to us since this was a destination wedding. Not the mention, the views cannot be beat!
We were married November 3, 2017. The whole experience was amazing from our first meeting with Tyler. He was very transparent, explaining all costs and made himself available any time I had a question. The venue was perfect from the ceremony site outside to the reception in the Rock Room. Our guests raved about the food and location. We couldn't have found a better place for our wedding. It was a perfect day!
Loni and the staff at the Ship Rock Grille made our rehearsal dinner absolutely perfect! Loni was fantastic to work with in all stages of planning, and made sure that everything was just right for our rehearsal dinner. All of our guests raved about the venue and the food, and we could not have been more pleased with the ambiance of the evening. Loni had excellent recommendations when I had questions about food selection and how the evening should "flow," and she and her staff were so helpful in setting out decorations last minute and making sure everyone had a great time.
We had our ceremony in the Trading Post backyard, and it was so memorable and perfect! Loni and her assistant Jenna had everything set up a half an hour before our scheduled time (3:30-5:30) and allowed us back there at no charge for our pre-ceremony photos. They were so easy to work with and made our day great. They kept the backyard closed to anyone who wasn't part of our wedding, and even gave us a discount (off an already low price for the views you get!) due to construction in the park - which I had barely even noticed, to be honest. They also let us bring a cooler full of water bottles for our guests during the ceremony, since there is not really any shade in the backyard. One downside is that there is not a backup plan if there is inclement weather, so you're taking your chances on that. If you're looking for breathtaking views and a ceremony venue your guests won't forget, look no further than Red Rocks.
The staff on our wedding day were great - very professional and assured everything went smoothly. The food was delicious as well! Thanks for the wondering wedding day.
We could not have been happier with Red Rocks. Everything was perfect--the menu was ideal, and TeNeil and the chef were more than willing to help accommodate our special requests. Another highlight was that we had both an indoor and an outdoor location reserved so that we didn't need to decide where to get married until that morning depending on the weather, so we were able to get married outdoors (in November!). The food was fantastic, the staff were super friendly, and we had an amazing day. 135 people fit easily into the Rock Room with enough room for a good sized dance floor. Red Rocks is also so naturally stunning and well decorated that we didn't need to spend a ton on decorations!
I wasn't the kind of bride who was really "into" wedding planning, so I loved working with TeNeil on planning our wedding at Red Rocks. She was very helpful, responsive, and professional. I appreciated her honesty and flexibility. The entire event was incredibly reasonable price-wise as well. The day of the wedding, the weather turned for the worst and we had to bring the event inside. Everyone on their staff did a great job of changing the plan and it still turned out beautiful, and the food was surprisingly delicious too!
Everything was perfect, from TeNeil who helped plan everything, to the setup and the food. It is such an incredible place to get married, both for the backdrop, and the level of professionalism. Very affordable.
Red rocks is a great place to have a wedding, it's beautiful and you can't go wrong. When we first booked we decided to go for October because we like the fall and because there would be less of a chance of a concert being held there in October. Well, we found out that there was going to be a concert the night of our ceremony/reception but it didn't really bother us, so we decided to stick with it. We were assured that there would be no issues. It was set up so no one could get in and so us and our guests would have a bathroom to use that was blocked to all attending the concert. There was only a few people that walked into the area accidentally during our reception, so we let the event coordinators know and they took care of it. We did get a little bit upset about it and over reacted. It's really difficult for them to control that many people, so having just a couple people end up in the wrong area wasn't so bad, being there was probably 10k plus people there. They set up the room beautifully for the cocktail hour/reception and overall everything was perfect. The food was REALLY very good. I've actually not ever been to a wedding where the food tasted good and I was really surprised! We should have tried it before our wedding of course but we just never got around to it. The only thing I hated about the room was the chairs they have there, so simple solution was to rent better looking ones and thats what we did. I love that there is art on the wall and that there are no tacky looking chandeliers. The natural rock in the room is my favorite and they had candles all over it. It seems that many people have their ceremony here and then overlook the reception room, think about it, it may not be your typical reception area but it is very pretty, they do a great job at helping you with anything you need, they are easy to work with, their bartenders are fantastic and the food is very good!
We were married October 2011 and the red rocks was the most perfect venue for our wedding. It was perfect for my budget to have just the afternoon wedding and the spot is absolutley gorgeous. They block off the grassy area for the wedding and allow you time to decorate. unfortunatley a concerte was playing the night before and there was some damage done to the property. However armark stepped in and made it right with us. they compinsated us the money for the damage to the space and the wedding was still beautiful. great spot!!
Everything about this venue was amazing. We had our ceremony in the back yard ans our reception at the top of the amphitheater in the visitor center. Of course there is the scenery, but the staff was so polite and helpful. TeNeil Hartley made the whole planning process a breeze. Awesome food, gorgeous site and reasonably priced too! Not one complaint.
We had decided to have our ceremony here until we realized it was only a ceremony.
We were married in the backyard at Red Rocks and it was so beautiful. For just the ceremony it was very affordable and a perfect spot. They set up as many chairs as you need for a fee and will put them in the location and angle you request. They offer a free rehearsal time the day before. It can be hard to work around their concert schedule so I suggest calling as early in advance as possible.
Beautiful location for our ceremony. The pictures can't be beat. Downside: little to no help with coordinating ceremony, offers no back up plan if weather is bad.
We had our ceremony in the Trading Post Backyard and worked with Betsy Newhart to set everything up. The venue is spectacular and really speaks for itself. Breathtaking vistas make for a beautiful backdrop. The rental fee was a little pricey, but not needing to spend anything on flowers made up for it. Betsy was a dream to work with. I don't know if I ever waited more than a couple of hours to get an email response from her. I highly recommend this venue!
Red Rocks is the most beautiful and breathtaking place in Colorado.;The only thing that went wrong is that it snowed 2 days before our wedding. When we went there for our rehearsal the outdoor patio still had not been shoveled and the event coordinator did not return my messages about this. On our wedding day an alternate outdoor space was cleared off for us after they told us we'd have to have our ceremony indoors.
We had a breath taking view. It was in a concert area everyone has been too and we wanted them to see another side of it.;Make sure the main event manager is there for your event some of the other managers are not very helpful.
Beautiful views of Red Rocks, located in a historic location, perfect place for out of town guests to get to see while attending a wedding in Colorado.;If you book in the summer months, they cannot guarantee that a concert will not be scheduled which could possibly cancel your wedding.
