Adrianna, Justin and the Redbook Events catering team were an absolute blast to work with for our wedding. We knew from our amazing food and bar tasting, that they were the team we would go with. Not only was everything delicious, but they really cared about our opinions and were open to any and all changes/ suggestions we made. Our guests are still talking about the dinner we served and the drinks that made them stay on the dance floor all night long. Thank you so much for making our night so memorable.

There is not enough room in this box to tell you how grateful I am for Adrianna and her team. After we discovered that our previous wedding planner had scammed us, the Redbook team swooped in and saved our day. We almost lost control of our entire event, but Adrianna had faith in us and wanted our wedding experience to be perfect. Adrianna, her husband, and Justin took care of everything and made sure we moved quickly past the awful experience we had with our previous wedding planner.
Redbook Catering & Events covered our catering, bar, and wedding planning. It was so nice to have everything handled with one company, that way everyone was on the same page. Everything with off without a hitch and our guests still to this day cannot stop talking about the drinks! Everything was delicious from the food, to the drinks, to the late night snack.
I will forever be grateful for Adrianna and her team. They handled my situation with such grace and took us under their wing no questions asked!
Let me start by saying that overall, we loved working with RBC for our wedding and the food/drink quality is amazing! We would book them again and highly recommend them to anyone and everyone in need of event catering and planning. Adriana & Joe were so great to work with and because food/drink was a huge part of our wedding day, and I'm hyper-organized and a major perfectionist, their patience with us while we planned was exceptional. We went with the family style dining for about 125-150 guests and it was such a unique dining experience. Our guests had SO many good things to say about the drinks, service, and food!
That being said, there were a couple things that happened on our wedding day that were a bit disappointing. We'd specifically asked for NO disposables at all, yet they brought cheap little plastic cups anyway - I wish they would have informed us to up our rentals count if they thought we'd need more.
They also brought canned sodas without asking or telling us, which showed up in some of our wedding photos which was not appreciated. I wish they would have asked or mentioned it, since apparently they "always do that" for every wedding. We had water and tea, and frankly kids/anybody can go one evening without a soda.
The coffee cups we'd requested from Premiere (which RBC was coordinating for us) were not the ones that we got day-of so I'm not sure what happened there.
The biggest snags we experienced were an unauthorized change to one of our signature cocktails (we were designing a take on an Old Fashioned, and the syrup-coated fresh cranberry was substituted for a cheap dried Craisin straight out of the bag...), and we later found out that the lead banquet manager who was directing plates to tables was rude to our Best Man at the head table (they asked for more salmon and she told them "we allotted the proper portions, you'll have to wait to see if we have any left over").
Like I said, we WOULD book RedBook again in a heartbeat. Adriana was our literal angel and saved the day (and calmed my nerves) again and again. She is absolutely phenomenal and Joe is a bar master. Both of them really understood what we were going for! The snags overall just came down to a couple communication failures, and one rude staff member. At the end of the day, our guests didn't know the difference and nobody noticed anything amiss besides us.

Adriana, Joe and their team are truly the best of the best! Our guests raved about the food for days after! I can honestly say the food we had at our tasting was some of the best we ever had and went with every single item we tried for our wedding. Adriana did an amazing job helping us incorporate a blend between "American" and Puerto Rican dishes. I cannot recommend them enough!!!
Callie, Adriana, and Joe were super helpful in developing a balanced menu friendly to kids, foodies, vegans, and meat & potatoes types.
Everyone found food they could enjoy. We chose partial service/family style to avoid the forced items of prefix and the lines involved with buffets. They accommodated guests with allergies quite well-including one to onions.
Price was fair. Our food cost for 64 guests was under 6K despite travel to hill country and on site service. This may be higher or lower for you. We selected our entrees to be bourbon fig glaze chicken and stuffed poblano with vegan crema.
Their assistance with decor selections/rentals was super helpful and catered to our needs/schedule ability.
Highly responsive to emails (except on Monday/Tuesday which are out of office).
Alcohol flavor match and estimates were excellent. However, test any brand recommendations as specific preferences may differ. We agreed with Joe's wine types, but not specific bands. My in-law's chose brands at HEB we had more experience with.
I was extremely set on family style, and although I wouldn’t ever say catering is cheap, their quote was lower than most other family style catering proposals. The level of detail and care that Adriana put into our tasting (both food and beverage) was incredible. During the tasting, everything tasted phenomenal. A few negatives - Their response time is very slow and can miss things over email. There were many tables that felt they didn’t get enough food, even though less than my guest count showed up. I paid for 122 guests, and approximately 114 showed up, and several guests said they were not full afterwards. Presentation was a bit sloppy as well. But, tasted very good. We loved the mini pies. Pretty amazing bar service from them - awesome bartenders. I would say 5 star to liquor service.
We loved working with Adriana and Joe! We hired them for our catering, bar services, and day-of coordination. They did great in all 3 areas and couldn't have given us a better wedding day experience! We did a plated dinner and all of our guests kept telling us how delicious the food was. Also, we had some signature drinks that to this day, our guests cannot stop raving about! Lastly, as a type-A bride, I greatly appreciated all of Adriana's dedication to making sure everything went perfect as planned so I could have some peace of mind the day-of. I truly cannot recommend Red Book Events enough!! Thank you so much Adriana & Joe, it was a pleasure working with you both. :)
RedBook was by far one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. They were incredibly easy to work with and the most fairly priced! We chose to do catering, bartending, and Adriana was our Day Of Coordinator. We couldn’t have survived the day without her!
I would give this review a higher rating if the expectations were met with what was presented to us. First, when we went for our tasting it was by far one the best food and presentations we have ever experienced doing all our tasting. Me and my wife were very pleased. Come wedding day we got far from what we paid alot of money for. We didn’t get any of the presentation or taste we had expected from and we were very dissatisfied. Food was very cold as well. The only thing that went right was that the customer service was phenomenal. They tried everything they could to try and get the food to taste better but it just didn’t happen. Less than half the guest said the food was good but well over half said it had no effort put into it and of course for the bride and groom tasting the food for us is what should have matter the most and it didnt and of course there was no refund of any sort. We wanted to get just something back for just the failure of expectation but that didnt happen. I have mixed feelings on wether I would recommend and they showed they can care less of what the Bride and groom asked for and the expectations that should be met. Hope they can consider whats most important and thats what the Bride and Groom who is paying for it not the guest.
Where do we even begin? First of, Adriana and her team went above and beyond to create a menu that was geared towards our love of ethnic food and honored my heritage. Our menu exceeded our expectations in every way , but when we did the tasting it was one of the things we were most looking forward to our wedding. The food was NEXT LEVEL. So. Good. Planning our wedding during a pandemic was already difficult, but they were so patient with all of our changes that occurred in the course of the year. Now, finally to our wedding day. The service, food, rentals (we rented chairs, linens, and china from them) once again, exceeded all our expectations. I made all my menus, place cards, layouts of how I wanted the tablescape, everything. Adriana nailed every. single. detail. To the T. She is such a wonderful , talented, and overall great person to work with, and incredibly patient I may add. When I walked in to our dinner reception and saw everything for the first time my jaw hit the floor (I hope the photographers captured that moment), its like she was in my head at one point and delivered every single detail just as I had imagined. Thank you, Red Book Chef team. For everything.
Y'all, how do I say this. Forget basic food. If you want a menu that is truly unique to you as a couple, then please PLEASE book Red Book. Adriana and Joe are the sweetest and most amazing people. We tweaked our menu dozens of times, and they just smiled and made it possible. Every course was amazing, and the cocktails were a big hit. We wanted a flavorful, Asian-influenced menu and they worked with us to make it happen. We had Korean Fried chicken and waffles, fire-roasted edamame, entrees of chimichirri chicken with parmesan risotto and Prime rib with spicy green beans with different sauces. Our drinks were a Lychee mule, Mango-Passion Mojito, and Matcha Highball. We didn't have any left overs to take home :( Everything was cleaned out! Compliments were abundant. Testaments to how good the food was. And people will remember the food more than anything else, guaranteed. So make yours one to remember!
Besides that, they are a joy to work with. Wonderful people who really care about the couples they are working with. We fell in love with their food at first tasting, and booked them on the spot. Highly highly recommend. I wish they had a restaurant so we could eat there every day 😭

Not only did she provide the most incredible service, and beautiful food, but she and her team were SO professional!!! Adriana not only took care of our catering, but also acted as a coordinator. AND, after the ceremony, loaded all of my things (which was...A LOT!) into my car, so I had nothing to worry about after the ceremony. Not only is she incredibly professional, but she is one of the kindest, most hard working women I’ve ever known. Throughout this whole process, she’s worked with us, with such understanding and empathy. Even when we reached out to her 2 weeks before the wedding, and had to seriously adjust our plans, she worked with us. I never felt anything but love and support from her, and it made our Wedding so stress free!! We LOVE RedBook Chef and would recommend them to anyone, and everyone!! ♥️♥️♥️
We had such a great experience working with Adriana and the team at Red Book. We selected them to cater our wedding, and had such a great experience at our tasting that we also asked Adriana to be our day-of coordinator. Red Book helped us design our perfect brunch wedding menu, and helped us reimagine the seasonal touches on the menu when our wedding moved from spring to fall due to COVID. Our guest loved the food and the Red Book team, and Adriana helped the day go off without a hitch - we cannot thank them enough!
WE LOVED REDBOOK!! They catered our wedding at Villa Antonia, and let me tell ya, the food was AMAZING! But what I really want to rave about is Adriana and how great she was to us throughout the entire process. She worked so much with my husband and I, was always quick to respond to our many many questions and was just all around the sweetest person. Thank you RedBook for making our day and process so special/easy!
My husband and I were feeling a little anxious about booking a wedding caterer – serving good food was extremely important to us, but every caterer we liked was too expensive for our budget. And then we met Adriana and Joe at a wedding expo and the rest was history. Almost immediately, we connected with them as individuals - they were so kind and genuine. And their food was absolutely incredible. My husband and I wanted wedding food that reflected our Texas wedding vibe, but would be palatable to a broad swath of people. Plus, we had some guests with dietary restrictions that we had to account for. Adriana listened to our asks, and made the perfect menu for us! Our guests couldn't stop talking about it. And we loved that Joe was able to create custom cocktails that paired nicely with the meal. It was the perfect one-two punch. The pair worked closely with us to make sure that we could stay within our budget without sacrificing quality, and made the process genuinely stress free.
Unfortunately, we did run into a minor hiccup on our actual wedding day, and ran out of some of our food choices (we had a buffet), but I understand that this is not entirely within RBC's control, and absolutely would not deter me from working with them again. Adriana, Joe and their entire team are top-notch!
If I could give Adriana 10 stars, I would. They were by far the best vendor that we signed with for our wedding. From the start, Adriana was very organized and responsive. We had several people that are gluten free, myself included and Adriana and her team made the best meal ever. The number one comment I received from our guests was the food was amazing. Some actually wanted the recipe for their bourbon baked beans. Not only was the food to die for but the fact that Adriana doesn't charge you a fee if your guest count drops was a major factor on why we signed with her. You will not go wrong with RedBook Chef!
RedBook Chef is genuinely the best caterer in the Austin game. We served Italian food to our guests and we got so many compliments! Every single thing they cook makes you want to lick your plate clean. They made sure we were comfortable and that we had time to enjoy the food as well. They are a well oiled machine and a master of their craft. I hope that we can eat their food again very soon!
RedBook Chef just catered an amazing and beautiful brunch reception at The Veranda Room. They were the epitome of professionalism. Everything was handled beautifully from the food prep, bar tending, and serving to the break down and clean up. Definitely a skilled and efficient crew all around.
Not professional and/or not LGBTQ+ friendly. Had a phone consult with them (discussed budget, menu options, everything), but once they found out we are a same-sex couple, we never heard from them. We texted Adriana and sent multiple emails to their email (redbookchef@gmail.com), to no avail. During that time, my colleague was able to have a consult, get a proposal, edit the menu, sign a contract, and pay them.
After a month of no response, we posted a review to that effect. When Adriana was notified of the review, she called and emailed apologizing, stating she 'lost' our file. So, assuming her apology was sincere when we spoke on the phone, we took the review down, and shortly there after, emailed, asking for the proposal she promised.
Here we are, another three weeks later with no response. Now, we understand the apology was just a formality, and she really doesn't want our business. We're very disappointed that this kind of discrimination is still very present in Austin.
Adriana and Joe are FANTASTIC caterers and even more amazing humans, we were so please with their service. They went above and beyond to make sure our menu was exactly what we wanted. Everything was delicious and their staff was so professional. Side note, Adriana might be small but she can definitely handle all the heavy lifting and hustling that comes with setting up tables, chairs, etc. Can't tank them enough for making sure everything went smoothly.
Adriana was the best! Her and her husband were the nicest and most informed caterers we met with! They were so helpful through the whole planning process and I would have been lost without them. The wedding day was smooth and I owe that to them! Thank you!!
Adriana and Joe are just so stinking talented! They work with you to create the right menu and at the right price- and have the creativity to do so! They executed the wedding day perfectly and to top it all off, they are just great people! We really enjoyed the whole process of working with them. I have heard a lot of horror stories of terrible food at wedding receptions and Redbook Chef is the remedy to any of your wedding day worries. We loved them and you will too!
AMAZING. PROFESSIONAL. DELICIOUS. They were the highlight of my wedding...being from an Italian family, food was the most important aspect of my wedding, only second to God:) We met with Adriana and were attracted to her attention to detail, her vision, her guidance, and her professionalism. THEN, WE ATE HER FOOD. Oh my gosh, I was sold right then and there. Her ability to cook what we had requested, authentic Italian cuisine, was unmatched by other caterers we had met before. We instantly chose her and so thankful we did. She was great at listening to our wants, providing feedback and offering advice, the price was within our budget, she calmed my nerves and acted as my therapist when I began to get stressed. On the big day, her team...man, they brought their A game and just knocked it out of the park! Her staff was beyond wonderful and not only did they meet our expectations, but went far past them. They were so polite, professional, efficient, and the food was so amazing, that it could have easily been my favorite part of the wedding! The food was brought out quickly, and afterwards, the tables were cleared instantly. Like clock work! I was blown away and so was my wife. I could not count how many of our guests raved about the food and the staff, saying it was the best food at a wedding they've ever eaten. The food certainly stole the show! Adriana and her team made our special day and we are so thankful we chose them! This company is going straight to the top of their industry and I am soooo happy we hired them to cater our wedding. Thanks a million!!!!
Adriana and her crew are amazing. They were at a bridal expo and they had one of my moms favorites and she stopped so i grabbed a card and man am i happy i did. Set up an apt to meet with them and guess what that apt was in my home. YES MY HOME! They drove over an hour to my house to cook for my fiance and me so we could taste the foods that we could possible have at our wedding. They brought everything pots and pans, and the food. How amazing is that. They understood that we wanted a southern/hispanic feel for food at our wedding and they accepted the challenge and killed the challenge. RedBook Chef are amazing people and really care about there business i hope we get to work together some other time.
