We contacted Amy about two months before our wedding date just as the decisions and logistics of the day were starting to feel overwhelming. And we are so happy we did. Everyone says if you can hire a day-of coordinator so that you can be fully present during your ceremony, to do so, and we echo that sentiment with Amy (who was that and more for us!). She attended our final walk-through with our vendors and asked all the questions we did not know to ask. She created a full timeline of the day and sent it to all our vendors. She set up all cocktail hour decorations, and expertly handled all the issues that would have stressed us out, without us even knowing. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and we owe so much of that to Amy.
I cannot recommend Amy and Happily Ever After highly enough! From start to finish, Amy was a dream to work with, making our wedding day not only stunningly beautiful but also seamless and stress-free. Amy brought incredible attention to detail and creativity, ensuring that every aspect of our vision came to life perfectly. She took care of every detail, big and small, and handled any issues that came up with absolute professionalism, allowing us to relax and enjoy our special day fully.

After my wedding on 05/24/24, I often get asked to give advice on the wedding planning process. Without hesitation, my answer is always the same- reach out to Amy with Happily Ever After! Originally, I opted to plan the wedding myself, and after several slight breakdowns and feelings of defeat- I began the search for a wedding planner. After “interviewing” about 5 planners, I knew immediately that Amy would be the best there was.
She is professional, experienced, had the knowledge to guide us on all aspects of our planning, and she was extremely fun to work with! I was endlessly impressed with Amy’s ability to problem solve and create the wedding day of my dreams. She captured my vision perfectly, communicated extremely well, and never missed an email, phone call, or text. To this day, I am still reminded by guests of the wedding and members of the wedding party about how effortless she made the day feel. Amy is also extremely knowledgeable about The Farmhouse venue in Plainfield, IL and knew exactly how to navigate planning our dream day there. Throughout the entire planning process Amy was able to keep us calm, on track, and prepared for my daughter’s wedding day. Truly, one of the best decisions we made! Amy is a consummate professional and her knowledge and insight was a major factor in having our vision become a reality. From start to finish, little details to major components-Amy was always there for anything we needed. (I never thought about loading the car after the wedding with all of our specialty decor, gifts, cards, cake….but Amy did!) Planning a wedding can be so overwhelming but with Amy’s amazing attention to detail and planning expertise the whole process seamed easy. By having personally vetted all of our vendors, musicians, catering, printing, floral…..Amy took away any concerns about presentation and quality allowing us to enjoy the most beautiful wedding with our family and friends. Amy was a phenomenal wedding planner throughout our entire process! We were one of the couples impacted by Covid, and Amy remained with us throughout the entire time and ensured that our wedding day happened just the way we envisioned. We trusted Amy fully throughout the entire time we spent with her, and her attention to detail was unparalleled. She took feedback extremely well, and really listened to our vision and worked with us to achieve our goals while remaining within our budget. She worked extremely well with our vendors, and ensured we were getting the best quality while managing our costs. During the day of our wedding, with curveballs being thrown her way left and right, she managed to ensure we remained on schedule! Our wedding day would not have been what it was without Amy’s hard work, dedication and professionalism. Amy is truly in a class of her own! We highly recommend Amy as a planner for any couple!
Amy made our dream wedding a reality! Our reception was at a country club, which came with an event planner but I was unsure about the execution of the day, as the event planner kept changing. I am so glad that I added Amy to my vendor list to support in my planning process and day of execution! I booked Amy's partial planning and coordination package. Amy had great connections to offer with the remaining vendors that I needed when booking her. As a bride with a very particular vision, Amy did amazing bringing it to life, and more. Amy answered any questions we had along the way and provided great insight and feedback to wedding details to ensure we delivered the formal wedding we envisioned. Leading up to the wedding was so stress free with Amy. She took care of all the details, allowing us to be relaxed. Amy was just as amazing the day of, as we had no stresses or concerns. Overall, Amy provided great services, was easy to work with, and has a lot of knowledge in the industry. I would highly recommend her services.
We can’t say enough wonderful things about Amy!! She helped us plan our dream wedding, and it truly would not have been possible without her. She always communicated with us quickly and answered every question we had. She was always on top of everything and took the worries away from us as bride and groom the day of. We recently got married on 9-30-23. Using Amy Harloe as our wedding planner from Happily Ever After was the best gift my now Husband could give me to help plan our wedding! Amy was amazing from beginning to end! I let her know she is really worth her weight in gold! Everything was beautiful! The flowers, lighting, stationary, hair and makeup, photography, videography and the officiant all blew our expectations out of the water. She took diligent notes at every meeting and gave us great tips. Our day was perfect! We highly recommend Happily Ever After for your wedding planning!

Before we met Amy, my then fiance, now husband and I spoke to a wedding planner who was based in Wisconsin, but we didn't feel like she was the right fit for us. I wanted someone who lives in our area who had more experience and familiar with Chicago based wedding vendors.
I found Amy through Cantigny Park's vendors list. Out of the 3 recommended on the list, I chose Amy because she was very nice, friendly, professional, and she was willing to help us even though we were on a budget. She didn't snob us or give us the run around. She was honest and straight to the point. She was also not pushy. We got along well with her and we have great communication with Amy. She was very understanding and worked on a payment plan for our budget. In the end, everything was all worth it. It was a great investment especially for someone like me who it is my first time being a bride with no parents or family who can guide me with wedding planning. All I had was a wedding planning binder and did my own research. Amy helped me with keeping track of all the contracts and our vendors team. I am so grateful that we have Amy to help us and be part of our wedding planning. I thought I didn't need a wedding planner to help me, but I am so glad that I found the right one for us. It was such a relief. She took care of the logistics and coordinating with everyone. I don't know what I would do without Amy. I appreciate that she was there with us for the food tasting, selecting the right budget plan for our reception, transportation, the vendor payment reminders before the wedding.
We were supposed to have an outdoor garden wedding. I'm grateful that we had experienced having our rehearsal at the original ceremony site. Though we were late due to traffic and picking up out of town guests, Amy was patient enough to help line up our bridal party to practice for our ceremony. Though it rained on our wedding day and we had to relocate the ceremony to a sheltered area in the Pavilion, Amy and our team were able to set up and decorate the space beautifully in a timely manner. There is so much I learned in planning for our wedding. There were so many details. It can be overwhelming if we didn't have Amy there to help us through with it. When the day seemed like it's not gonna work out, Amy made the impossible possible for us.
Our guests enjoyed the experience of being in a fairy themed wedding. Our reception venue turned out beautiful too. Our guests loved the space and food. Our photographer said that Amy is really great wo work with. My one regret is that I didn't get to take a picture with Amy before she left the reception. I wanted to have our picture taken together as a souvenir. I appreciate that Amy packed our stuff before the party ended. She really did a lot for us and she is just one amazing person.
So for anyone reading this review and contemplating whether to hire a wedding planner, I highly recommend Amy. I do hope that you will also feel that Amy is the right wedding planner for you as she is for us.
I can’t thank Amy enough for helping create the best day of my life. The whole day and night was better than I could have ever imagined. Amy was helpful since day 1 but especially supportive the last few months and week leading up to the wedding. We had a few communication issues with the venue and she took care of all complications. Amy was the perfect wedding planner! Since I am not from the Chicago area, I first met her just before the wedding weekend. I found her to be organized, knowledgeable, and punctual. My husband and I hired Amy about a year before our wedding day. From the very beginning, she was nothing but professional, realistic, prepared, and kind! The world of weddings aside: I have never met anybody more organized. We had initially planned on doing a large amount of work ourselves with the help of our families but quickly realized that the intricacies of a Covid Wedding were way past our capacity. Amy was able to jump in about 8 months out and help us organize and execute our thoughts and ideas.
Having produced 100s of events myself, I can say without exaggeration our wedding not only went off without a hitch, but It was one of the most beautiful events ever been at. Amy was able to help blend my Wife and I's, not exactly inline, vision for the reception and it came out beautifully.
Bottom line, Amy rocks and you would be missing out on not reaching out to her.
Happily Ever After Groom here, Amy made our October 2021 wedding run without a hitch. From connecting us with almost all of our amazing vendors (including a florist when the first one we chose had to decline 2 months out), creating a budget that prioritized what we wanted most important (an amazing live band and flowers to die for), giving us endless amounts of advice and guidance, negotiating drinks for our band mid performance, and helping us locate and kick out wedding crashers(and making our wedding so fun it had wedding crashers!). The day would’ve been so different and chaotic for my new wife without you. Thank you for putting on what we’ve been told is the BEST wedding by no less than 30 attendees.
Amy was the perfect planner for our October 2021 wedding. After interviewing a few planners, I knew within minutes of speaking with Amy we’d found the professional, detail oriented, extremely well connected planner we needed. As an organized, type A person I knew I needed someone I could have the utmost confidence in to execute the day of our dreams and Amy did just that while making the year of planning easy and non-dramatic even amid a pandemic. There was never a moment where I didn’t know what to do or felt overwhelmed or confused. I cannot recommend her, her staff and her amazing vendors (whom we used almost exclusively) enough. Amy and her team did their job, but I unfortunately never felt like a priority of theirs. I constantly was checking in to see that everything was getting done. At the 30 day mark she tried to 'hand me and my wedding off' off to another company because she was tired of dealing with me. I paid for a partial plan and day of coordinator 4k, and was upset that she couldn't make my rehersal as it was part of the package I paid for. (I ended up moving my rehersal to a Tuesday so she could make it.) Her accuse was I told she couldn't be there after my wedding had to be moved (covid bride) and that was that. Never offered of a refund or really any apology at all. I jumped the gun on hiring her, she sounded so wonderful over the phone and I stupidly paid in full. By the time we met in person she basically called my vision for my wedding trashy and my guests would be disappointed with pizza as their dinner (we got married at a vintage theatre, and the venue had no on-site kitchen). We never saw eye to eye on what I wanted, which is outrageous because I was the bride... My wedding didn't run as scheduled and was hours behind. Very dissapointed. She also thought it would be ok to drink at my wedding, which is completely unprofessional.
Chicago land's most phenomenal wedding planner! We thoroughly enjoyed every step of the process. Amy was our most trusted person on our big day. Having her as the lead contact - I knew we were in good hands so that we can enjoy our wedding. Thank you Amy. We will never forget all that you have done for us!
Amy helped me plan a family wedding reception for my brother and his wife. We were originally going to have the party in my backyard, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to find another venue 2 weeks out. Amy acted swiftly in researching and calling nearby venues for availability, and we were able to secure the perfect spot. She communicated with vendors about the change and all along provided excellent guidance and suggestions when it came to flowers, decor, menu, room set up, etc. Amy is super responsive, detail-oriented, and on top of it! I also appreciated that she was very mindful of our budget. Everything came together beautifully, and I can't thank Amy enough!

I cannot say enough good things about Amy Harloe at Happily Ever After by Amy. We hired Amy about a year and a half before our wedding, and she made the planning process so easy. Amy is extremely professional, responsive, and creative. We were originally supposed to get married in June 2020, and like many other couples had to make a decision whether to postpone or cancel our wedding because of COVID-19. Amy seamlessly handled our decision to postpone and downsize our wedding from 250 guests to 30 guests without ever missing a beat. She essentially planned two different weddings for us because our original wedding plan was not workable amidst the pandemic. We hosted our wedding in a family member's backyard, but Amy was able to flawlessly turn our backyard into a perfect and professional wedding venue. Leading up to our wedding we completely trusted Amy to make creative decisions, and she created an intimate dinner party reception that was better than we ever could have dreamed. Our friends and family were all so impressed, and we told everyone that Amy handled every detail! She has an impressive team of trusted vendors that worked so hard. This review is LONG overdue! Have you ever had such an amazing experience working with someone that finding the right words to express how grateful/ thankful you are seem impossible? Thats how my husband and I have felt since our 5.18.2019 wedding! From the moment I met Amy I knew she was our wedding planner. After talking to almost every wedding planner in the greater chicagoland area I thought Amy is just too good to be true. So in true OCD crazy bride fashion I asked for references and previous brides to talk to about their experience. Amy did not even blink or make me feel totally insane which is a quality every bride should look for in a wedding planner. We thankfully chose the full planning package, because we were planning our Chicago wedding from across the country. Amy responded to every midnight email, every pacific coast phone call and never made us feel like we were alone. She kept us on budget and when we were going over budget she wasn't afraid to bring us back to reality. Amy negotiated all of our vendors and got us the best deals, I cannot stress this enough! Before Amy we were getting quoted 2-3x the costs, and for brides who hate to negotiate she was a God send. Amys wedding day timeline is better than any book or planning binder you can find, she really knows what she's talking about with a month to month breakdown that becomes like your checklist and makes sure to keep your wedding day timeline on track. Leading up to the wedding she was there to lead our rehearsal, take all of our "extra" last minute buys to incorporate into the decor, and she happily took the role of "bad guy" to nix any unwanted suggestions from our adoring family. Not to mention we had a multicultural wedding and had great anxiety about making sure to incorporate traditions such as dancing while not forgetting to bring in modern elements. She brought our dream wedding to life, flawlessly. She is the definition of a fairy wedding planner! If you are even considering her wedding planning service book now, I have no doubt in my mind that she will be the most highly sought after wedding planner. To this day we have family and friends that our wedding was the funnest wedding they have ever attended. We honestly owe those compliments to Amy and her meticulous planning and attention to detail. In late October last year, my husband and I had this dream to get married on New Year’s Eve— of that same year. We were expecting our first child and didn’t want to plan a wedding after he was born. I reached out to multiple planners and it wasn’t until we found Amy that I felt hopeful this wedding might actually happen. From the moment I talked to Amy she had nothing but confidence in her voice and in her ideas. Amy made me feel confident and hopeful that my dream wedding could come true in the short amount of time we had to plan it. Amy was nothing short of amazing the entire time. Every little detail was taken care of and we didn't have to worry about a thing. To be honest, we didn’t have the highest expectations for the wedding because who could when you were planning it in two months. But the day of our wedding everything went flawlessly and the evening of our wedding it was like something out of a movie. We cannot thank Amy enough for all the help, advice and even sometimes therapy sessions she guided us through from the start to the finish for our wedding! At the point we hired Amy, we were discouraged and frustrated with planning out wedding because we could not manage to find a way to make our vision and our budget work collectively. Amy not only found us the perfect venues for our ceremony and reception, but she made the day an absolute fairytale! We worked with Amy to a limited extent on our event. I can't imagine working with anyone else but Amy! I am a control freak and I could actually let go because I trusted Amy so much. I can not say enough great things about Amy and all of the hard work she put in to our special day! We started off as a country/barn wedding and switched to a boho romantic feel mid-planning. Amy ran with it every step of the way! She was able to take all of my ideas and coordinate them into a breathtaking wedding. We originally planned on an outdoor ceremony but due to weather changes we had to have it indoors. Amy took a plan b and made it look even more incredible than the original plan! She was able to take one day and coordinate all of the vendors, and rework the wedding schedule that we have been working on for over a year to make our day perfect! I wanted to share with all of you how wonderful Happily Ever After by Amy Harloe was for our family before, during and after our daughter’s wedding!
You could say that she was a wedding planner or even better yet a high-powered financial negotiator… But she was that and much more... we are still getting reviews from all of our friends… My most favorite comment was, “do you mind me asking, Mary Anne, was there anything that went wrong with your wedding?” I asked why and they responded because we can’t think of one thing that went wrong… I said well now that you’ve asked that question as a matter fact... yes...our wedding caterer was fired the week of the wedding!
Amy not only worked unusual hours but endless hours, she not only had the best resources but not only the best they were spectacular from beginning to end… from the florist to the photographer… She not only found the best wedding cake baker and might I add at the last minute in fact, within the last month, she made everyone feel special...at my mother’s request she asked the hotel to polish the magnificent grandeur chandelier ...she went beyond everyone’s expectation to achieve the wow factor! She orchestrated everything from the Opera Singer’s to the band’s logistics to the up lighting to the design of the Chuppah... to the last-minute surprises with the union situation in the hotel… Such that everyone there had expressed that never had they felt the warmth and love and amazing experience at another weddings they had attended previously or can they imagine anyone achieving a similar wedding of like kind and quality !!!
Most of all, Amy was more than a wedding planner...she became a friend, a confident, a shoulder to cry on, a friend to laugh with and basically the ultimate wedding whisper !!!!!!!!!
No words can do justice or even begin to explain what she’s done for our family… I have five other children and I have a couple of businesses and I truly look forward to and hope to be blessed with the opportunity to plan the next wonderful event in our lives… whether it be business or personal!

Amy was passionate, honest & professional—exactly what we needed to make our wedding day happen. Amy gave great advice beforehand and kept us organized leading up the big day without adding stress, and then made magic happen come wedding day. We're so lucky we had her!
From start to finish Amy gave us her very best. She answered every question and thought of extra needs that we forgot. She was patient, kind and treated our wedding as if it was her only concern. She worked extremely well with our vendors. Our wedding day went by with just happiness and joy, as she took care of any worry.
Where to start?
I wasn't aware how much we needed a coordinator until I saw how much Amy did in the weeks leading up to the wedding. It's shocking how much I didn't know that I didn't know. Amy's preparation on the timeline, coordinating with vendors, consulting and day-of grunt work made all the difference on our wedding day. Her decorative skills were on full display at the reception and I know neither of us would've been able to pull that off.
She was fantastic to work with, quick to respond, and pleasant but not afraid to disagree with us when she had a better idea. Thank you for everything Amy; we can't recommend you enough.

There are wedding planners and there is Amy from Happily Ever After! If you want to have a wonderful wedding and really enjoy yourself do not hesitate from hiring Amy, she does an outstanding job. As a wedding officiant I see all kinds of Wedding Planners. Amy goes above and beyond all the time. Her work is amazing! She is on top of things. She gets things done far in advance which is comforting for the couple and for the vendors. The vendors she works with are wonderful which makes your day great. She watches each detail and I mean each detail so you can enjoy every moment of your day. I recommend that every couple get a great planner and day of coordinator. Most couples do not realized what goes on the day of a wedding. There are so many things that go on behind the scenes. Having a great wedding planner handle it so you can have fun and actually enjoy your wedding is an important investment. I was shocked when I saw Amy work because there are planners that do just what they have to, but Amy goes above and beyond all the time. The ceremony and reception room decor look amazing when she is the planner! She made sure that everything looked perfect. It is such a pleasure to work with her. If you want your wedding day to be wonderful and your reception to be stunning do not hesitate to hire her! She will guide you and make planning a dream.
My now husband and I got engaged two years ago and were dreading the process of having a wedding. While looking at reviews, it was an easy choice when we found Amy Harloe. After meeting in person and discussing our vision, we decided to go with Amy and the full service package. BEST DECISION OF OUR LIVES!! She was VERY thorough from the onset and was with us till the very end. We NEVER had to worry about anything and she kept us on an organized timeline, thus making us feel at ease. We honestly knew nothing about weddings and she was patient with us and provided top notch recommendations for all vendors. We did not have ANY complaints about any of our vendors for our wedding. The actual day of our wedding went very smoothly and it allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our festivities. Our guests had nothing but rave reviews about our wedding for two weeks. Hiring Amy to be our wedding planner was one of the best decisions we made throughout our planning process. She answered all of our questions timely and brought up ideas that we hadn’t even considered. I wanted (needed) a lot of design guidance, and she was able to help us create the ceremony and reception hall of our dreams! Having been the first couple to be married within our friend group, my husband and I had very little knowledge on how the flow of the wedding day would go. My fiancé and I hired Amy towards the beginning of our planning process and she was there every step of the way leading up to our day this past July. Throughout the months leading up she recommended various vendors when we didn’t know who we wanted to work with and saved the day with finding another transportation vendor when ours cancelled pretty late in the game. She thought of the little details to include that we didn’t even think about! She was our main communication point with vendors the weeks leading up and created a thorough timeline for the day to make sure everything ran smoothly. She took so much stress off of us and we could not have been more in love with how she set-up all of our décor in the room. It was flawless! As I write this, I honestly start to get emotional. Amy Harloe, owner of Happily Ever After, was truly a godsend to my husband and me. Although we consider ourselves competent, organized, and driven, we quickly realized that we needed help with our wedding planning. Naturally I interviewed several candidates for this and there was no one I had a connection with like that with Amy. She is so warm, calm, educated, and experienced. I knew immediately that she was the one. My husband and I paid for our entire wedding and reception and all of the pomp and circumstance that comes with it and Amy brought so many ideas and options to the table. I never felt there was a problem that couldn't be solved with Amy. She was always on top of her game...in fact, she exceeded our expectations! There was never a time that I felt alone or confused. She kept me on track throughout the whole process all the while making me laugh and frankly, feel at peace. Without her, we wouldn't have had the amazing experience that we did on our wedding day and subsequent reception. Even though she was the professional in this business, I always felt like she was a partner...a collaborator. Planning a wedding can be so stressful, but not so with Amy. Her help throughout the planning process, the wedding, the reception was so invaluable. I can say without a doubt, our wedding wouldn't have been the quality and exciting, beautiful experience that it was without her. There is NO way I could have done even half the job without her. Amy did a fantastic job planning our wedding! We wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without her. We used her for full wedding planning and she was totally worth it. There are so many vendors out there it’s tough to know the good ones from the bad. We went with a lot of Amy’s recommendations and she was involved in planning our meetings, helping coordinate and asking the questions we didn’t know we should have been asking haha, she also attended every meeting we asked her to.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding there was an issue with our venue double-booking our backup cocktail hour space- Amy was all over it. In the 36 hours leading up to our wedding, we had last minute guest cancellations, decided on doing the ceremony outside, had last minute hotel bookings- Amy quickly took care of everything- we got the seating chart adjusted, she ran out to make extra last minute Welcome Bags the day before the wedding- she was great- there was no way we were in a state to handle all of that ourselves.
The day of- wow. I have never seen a more beautifully designed wedding- I am still in shock that such was beautiful wedding was actually mine! My dad even gave her a shout out during his speech- everyone was blown away by how beautiful she decorated the spaces. Amy handled all of the wedding day hiccups (rental company not bringing the microphone and showing up 2 hours late)- I didn’t even know until the next day all that happened that she took care of. I was an emotional mess the day of and really wouldn’t have been able to handle the things she did- I know she also does Day Of Services- hands down I would recommend at least going that route- it will be sooo worth it!
Brides- hiring Amy as your planner will be the best decision you make for your wedding. I know venues sometimes tell you that you don’t need a planner; they’ll help…. our venue said that and a month before our wedding that venue coordinator left and left a big mess behind her. They won’t look out for your best interests. Amy does- she negotiated discounts with vendors and made sure that our asks and needs were put first. Thank you so much Amy for giving me my dream wedding!

We had been planning our daughter’s wedding for 18 months without a wedding planner. We THOUGHT we were doing just fine until 3 weeks before the big day when we realized how hard it would be to pull together the entire event and still enjoy the wedding ourselves! The details, both big and small, were becoming a reality and we were far from planning the wedding we had wanted for our oldest child. That’s when we called Amy of Happily Ever After by Amy.
Fortunately, Amy was available to help us on a reduced timeline and the next three weeks were daily communications and updates. Amy contacted all the vendors and pulled the team together. She highlighted areas we missed that would have minimal financial impact but make the wedding presentation much more memorable and professional. She included the bride and groom in the planning as much as they needed (or wanted) and worked with us to make sure all decisions were cleared before moving forward. Her ability to work with us to make this the wedding we all wanted was masterful.
On the day of the event we simply enjoyed the wedding, the company and the festivities. Amy did all the hard work. She is extremely knowledgeable in event planning and the vendors respected and followed her direction carefully.
We will absolutely call Amy again for our three other children’s’ weddings – this time right from the beginning!
Amy did an incredible job as our wedding planner. She was extremely professional, organized, and creative. Her many years of experience as an event planner were very evident. She was always reachable by phone, text, or email and was very attentive to our needs. She made sure we had all the elements that we wanted and also provided helpful feedback. I became aware of Amy and her team 8 months before my wedding and boy was I blessed! Without even having the slightest idea of how to put together a wedding and any idea of what wedding etiquette was, Amy guided me every step of the way. She was not only organized and thorough but her attention to detail was immaculate. She visited vendors, planned my elegant menu, created original wedding favors and welcome bags, and also established a detailed day-of timeline for my vendors/venue . But more than anything, she gave me a piece of mind. On the day of my wedding, Amy was there from morning until midnight. She not only excuted my cermony/reception with precision and grace but she became someone my family could count for answers and direction throughout the entire 8 months. Thank you Amy for making my wedding one of a kind and a day that was absolutely perfect in mine and my family’s hearts.
About five weeks out from the big day, I desperately began to search for a day-of coordinator that would be within our already stretched budget and able to take care of the final logistics the month before the wedding when I was starting a new job. Enter Amy, who saved my sanity and ensured that I didn't have to worry about any logistics the weekend of our wedding. We spoke on the phone for about an hour and talked through my vision for our wedding. Right away, I knew I wanted to hire her because her services would be invaluable!
Throughout the whole process, she was very organized and detail-oriented, thinking of things that even my type-A personality hadn't thought of. Even though I hired her after the final walkthrough with my venue, she went ahead and did another one to ensure she was prepared for the big day. When our bakery dissolved three days into my job, she took the time to research and contact other bakeries before my work day had even ended. I was relieved to say the least! She took care of contacting all vendors and sharing the final logistics with them so that every vendor was well-informed and on the same page. The biggest stressor in planning was the day-of timeline, which she created based on answers to questions she asked me. She was very patient and made adjustments based on new information from various vendors. Planning a wedding is stressful, but Amy took on so much in the final month before the wedding that I didn't have to stress out about many of the things other brides worry about. She was super responsive in responding to emails and often offered to talk over the phone about more complicated logistics. She coached us through some difficult situations that arose that would have caused additional stress but didn’t because of her solution-oriented approach. After the wedding was over, I missed phone calls with Amy because I started to feel like we were friends, and she genuinely cared about me and my husband.
I finally met Amy in person a few hours before our rehearsal when we dropped off tons of DIY things at our venue. She stayed, sorted them, and even started to set things up that afternoon. She met us at our rehearsal dinner venue with a personalized schedule for all important people taking part in our wedding. She thoroughly ran through the rehearsal and ensured that everyone knew when and where they were supposed to be the following day. We misplaced something, and she was even in contact me later on in the evening, which put my mind at ease.
The day of the wedding, she was absolutely phenomenal! She stopped at the venue to look for the misplaced groom's gift before arriving at the hotel and helped ensure everything was running smoothly with hair/makeup, the florist, and the photog/videographer. She then left to go to the venue to start setting up all of the DIY details - of which there were many. I know that without her and her assistant, Lauren, I would have been super stressed thinking about everything getting set up in time. We wrote individual letters to guests that they were able to set out in the short 45 minute flipping of the room. Throughout the entire evening, she checked in on us to make sure things were happening as we envisioned them. Family and friends raved about how amazing she was! After the wedding, she stayed after and organized everything, so we just had to pick up a few things on Monday morning.

Amy has been planning events for many years now, mostly in Los Angeles, but recently moved to Aurora/Naperville. She has executed several huge corporate events on location, company Christmas parties, and weddings. She is organized, sharp, and super friendly. You can't go wrong with her services!
