I cannot say enough good things about Yvonne (Events by Mayven). I found her here on The Knot and even though she only had 10 reviews, they were all glowing. I got a good feeling based on those reviews, and I'm SO GLAD we chose her. She is THE REASON our wedding day went as smoothly as it did. From our first meeting, I could tell that Yvonne was sweet, direct, organized, incredibly detail-oriented, and empathetic. She made sure to ask me and my now-husband what our goals for the wedding day were - i.e., what was important to each of us individually. She also made sure to ask about any sensitive family dynamics so that she could be mindful of those and put out any day-of fires if needed. Trust me when I say that hiring Yvonne will be one of the best decisions you could possibly make for your wedding day. Whether you are totally unfamiliar with the wedding planning process or you've been in 10 bridal parties, Yvonne has something to offer everyone. Meeting with her was like couples counseling in a way, because it allowed us to sit and focus on our wedding day (and each other!) at regular intervals. When we were trying to decide on a photo location for couple's portraits between the ceremony and reception, Yvonne got in her own car and drove around Westchester, made calls, and scouted out some gorgeous options for us. Her eagle eye while scoping out locations on Instagram is the reason we were able to do our portraits at Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse - which had previously looked like it was closed due to nearby construction! Yvonne went above and beyond in every way I can think of. She made detailed timelines and packing lists. Throughout the day if I felt even the slightest bit stressed, she immediately picked up on it and found a way to alleviate it. She was a kind familiar face, guiding us and accompanying us every step of the way without being intrusive whatsoever. Six weeks before the wedding, she took over communications with our venue and other vendors to offload our to-do list. She advocated for our needs and wants and helped us execute our vision like a dream come to life. I think one of the greatest things she contributes to every couple's wedding day is staying to the end of the reception to ensure all personal items are accounted for - she actually packed our car up for us as we said our goodbyes. I wish Yvonne a long successful career in wedding planning and coordination because she is clearly gifted to do this work.

During the weeks leading up to the wedding, Yvonne met with us to discuss all logistics and ensured that we worked out details in advance. She made a detailed schedule and communicated it to all of our vendors. She was organized, professional, thoughtful, and thorough. Not only that, Yvonne and her team truly went above and beyond on wedding day and ensured that the bridal party, family, and vendors were all in the right place at the right times. I can't even put the words together to say how amazing Yvonne and her assistant were in making our day smooth and special. Her dedication from the time of consultation leading up to the big day was amazing! Not only did she make sure the order of events went smoothly but she was also that emotional support when things were wacky. Hands down the best day of coordinator and if I do it again I know who to contact! (Insider lol) I highly recommend any bride that want to take the lead in their wedding and also want that additional help for the day of or it's entirety to contact Yvonne! Yvonne did a great job as day of coordinator for my wedding. We worked through changing scenarios due to COVID19 and she navigated the changes very well. She kept me organized and ensured that everything went well the day of the wedding. Her fun loving nature and jokes also helped with the wedding nerves on the day of. I would recommend Yvonne to couples looking for a professional coordinator with a great personality.

Yvonne was a godsend on our wedding, which we celebrated in July 2019. To think that we were so close to going without a wedding coordinator is mind-boggling because we could not have had a smooth, enjoyable day without her. She is a masterful professional who made sure all Is and Ts are crossed, encouraged us to have fun, and also made sure we got through our to-do list in time for the big day. On the wedding day itself, she managed communications with the wedding party, our vendors, our families, our guests...she had all the bases covered. I was definitely an anxious bride, but Yvonne was confident, guiding, and firm so by the big day I could really focus on finally taking it all in. Even at the end of the night when we hit some logistical challenges, Yvonne was there and graciously helped us with the tear down and getting us home. We were so well-taken care of, anyone working with Yvonne as their wedding coordinator/planner is in good hands! We couldn't have done it without her, and we are thankful to have had the privilege of working with a delightful person such as Yvonne.

I could not have imagined my special day without Yvonne (10/5/19). From the second I met her, I felt so at ease and so comfortable every step of the way. After our first time speaking she had provided tips, tricks and recommendations for things I never would have thought of in a million years! On the day of the wedding she was such a breath of fresh air and so easily mingled among the TEN people I had in my bridal party making sure that all of us kept on time. She is going to my first call for any future event I need help with. I can't even communicate how seamless she made every process. Yvonne is a GEM. She was our wedding coordinator for our May 24th wedding on the start of the memorial day weekend. From the time we met, she was very professional, funny and consultative. She provided suggestions and tips without being intrusive, understanding it was OUR special day. Also, let me not forget to mention that Yvonne gave birth to her first born little girl in the middle of the planning process. I was concerned at first, because being a mother myself I know priorities get flipped upside down when you have to care for your little one. However, Yvonne balanced it well and still came through for us like a shining star. The timeline she created for our wedding was PERFECT. We didn't feel rushed and she kept us on schedule. Yvonne was the Day of Coordinator for our wedding in December 2017. I hired Yvonne days before the wedding because, like many brides, I thought I did not need one. Thankfully, I was proven wrong. Yvonne and her team made sure no detail was missed and ensured we thoroughly enjoyed our day. We planned for 200 guests, but 275 showed up. To this day, I do not know how Yvonne managed to accommodate everyone and work with the venue (and better yet, they didn't charge us!). She is a miracle worker! Yvonne was our wedding planner for our wedding in late September and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. From our first meeting she was the calm to my type A personality, she constantly assured me that everything was going to be ok on the big day. She heard all my and my husbands requests and gave amazing alternate options for things she knew wouldn’t work and everything she knew would work, she made happen. She worked through countless timeline revisions and even a last minute one that she handled so gracefully. She picked up every one of my calls and listened to me, through tears sometimes, as the stress built up always listening and providing calming guidance. We had quite an international wedding and Yvonne and her team coordinated everyone amazingly!! Additionally, the other vendors where thrilled to work with someone who was so generous and respectful. On the wedding day, Yvonne and her team were there every step of the way! Dealing with difficult family members, which I am forever grateful for, making sure everything went off without a hitch, and ensuring my husband and I had the best time . She did all this with a smile on her face and a professional manner. The best part was that she had my phone for most of the reception and when I looked through it the next day I had these amazing candid photos and videos that I cherish so so much! I would recommend Yvonne for any wedding or party as she really adds immense value and knowledge of planning!

I worked with Yvonne recently as another vendor for a wedding we were both working and let me just tell you sometimes as a hair/makeup artist it can be very tiresome working with a wedding planner as sometimes there expectations on timelines are unreasonable. Yvonne was truly a breath of fresh air via email and I felt the same exact way when she walked into the room. She ensured things were happening in a timely manner but never stepped on toes or crossed boundaries that prevented me from doing my job to the fullest. I loved working with her and would and will recommend her to more of my future brides as their event coordinator.

Events by Mavyen planned the farewell event for my wedding weekend and did a fantastic job. Yvonne is a dream to work with, extremely professional and willing to work with any budget. She also knows how to decorate and is extremely resourceful and scrappy which saved me a ton of money that I would have spent hiring a separate decorator. My guests raved at the decor and the service. Overall, the experience was A+ and i can't wait to work with Events by Mayven on my next event!
