Mel is incredible!! She's so talented and executes on a vision (or even half a vision) perfectly! Also, she is by far the most communicative and responsive vendor I worked with. To start, she was so reliable and helped me work through insecurities (both mine and my mom's) over email and over the phone, with total patience and kindness. I had my trial on the day we did our engagement photos - I showed Mel and Katie what I was thinking for hair and Katie recreated it beautifully. I had a very hard time explaining what I wanted for makeup but somehow, Mel interpreted that perfectly and did the makeup better than I ever could have described (obviously) - it was exactly what I wanted! When it came time for the wedding day, they were right on time and were super organized and fun to be around - they dealt with different personalities perfectly and did a beautiful job on everyone's hair and makeup. Mel re-did my makeup as beautifully as the trial, if not better! I decided to switch up my hair and had some pics, she also found some for me, to make sure she had an idea of what I wanted. Mel then gave me the hair I've literally wanted for my entire life. I was so overwhelmed by how she, once again, created something perfect without me being able to explain it. Mel and her team were wonderful to work with, and they made our bridal party look and feel beautiful. They were also great at helping accommodate different hair types and styles.

Katie and Steph were a true joy to work with on our wedding day. They came to our Inn the morning of and worked diligently providing hair and make up services for 6 bridesmaids, 2 mothers and the bride. They were very attentive, always listening to peoples needs/ asked for inspiration photos. Throughout the time, they provided touchups as needed and brought such a fun, positive energy throughout the day. Bonus point as my makeup withheld numerous happy tears, laughs and the hair didn't even budge on the dancefloor!!! Highly recommend

Working with Mel and Katie from The Beauty Bar on my wedding day was an absolute dream come true!! They were extremely professional while doing the hair and makeup for myself, my friends, mother, and mother-in-law, and they were extremely flexible and accommodating to everyone’s individual needs and desires. We had all kinds of haircuts and styles between the 11 of us (even an undercut!) and they were totally unfazed and enthusiastic about all of it! They even took care of our two 5-year-old flower girls and made them feel like princesses :) They were SO good with the little girls, and happily went down a hypothetical rabbit hole with one of them about how she thought the wedding should be in the ocean while riding on dolphins. It was hilarious and I was so glad to have talented, wonderful vendors who kept things light and fun with us while also doing such a beautiful job! Mel was also extremely communicative and organized during the planning and lead-up to the wedding, and was very accommodating even when I was feeling indecisive about the “look” I wanted to go with. It was easy to feel safe with her and I truly felt extremely beautiful during the wedding all thanks to her! I cannot recommend The Beauty Bar enough and I am forever grateful to them for doing such a beautiful job!

I worked with Mel, & let me tell you - it was magical!! She coordinated our wedding a family friend’s barn, and my friends who are married were amazed with how prompt, organized and kind she was. She handled all my drunk and rambunctious friends with ease, never making us feel uncomfortable, and my wedding day went smoothly. She did everyone’s hair and makeup with Kate, and while we were doing first look and photos, made sure my ceremony and reception were ready to go. I was blown alway by all she accomplished. We all looked stunning, and even tho I didn’t need touch ups, she was there ALSO for those during the reception, so I changed my hair to a pony which was so fun. She also helped me plan through consulting which was perfect for me. A planner wasn’t in my budget, but she helped me execute my vision, linked options in multiple price points to find decor and other items I needed/vendors, and made it so easy for me to just send an email or add to cart. She did this with my moh for my shower, and face timed her that morning to help set up. I can’t recommend enough!! Weddings have gotten so expensive, so having this option was a life saver!! Don’t sleep on Mel and the beauty bar!! She’s now my new go-to when I need to plan a party, and not spend thousands on a planner. Her brain is magical/so creative!!!

I had very average experience throughout my hair trials and was really unsure how my hair would turn out on the day of my wedding. They did an incredible job with my makeup though

Based on a friend’s recommendation, I decided to hire Mel and her team for my bridal and bridal party hair & makeup and it was THE best decision! Mel is so nice and communicative, which will put any type A bride at ease! Mel & her team use excellent quality products and tools and they work very efficiently. Everyone’s hair and makeup looked flawless for our very long 12 hour day, even with my added veil and hair accessory. Thank you Mel!

Mel and Katie were a great team to hire! They were prompt, and responsive with communication. I had 10 women needing hair and make-up, and we never felt rushed for time. Most of us wanted a natural make-up look, which was accomplished beautifully. I am so happy we hired The Beauty Bar!

Wow! Mel and her team were incredible. They did hair and make-up for 10 of us on my wedding day and were amazingly efficient. My bridesmaids prefer a natural look, and everyone loved their hair and make-up. Leading up to the event, Mel was super responsive and accommodated all of my requests. She also was very kind in rescheduling after we had to postpone our wedding by a year due to COVID. I'd recommend them without any hesitation!

My wedding day glam squad was amazing!! Everyone’s happy and makeup came out beautiful. They made sure that my makeup was just the way I wanted. They even stayed to do my makeup touch ups after I had a first look with my dad! Highly recommend.

Mel is amazing and so easy to work with! She was always super responsive and quick to answer any questions that I had. I was unsure about exactly what I wanted, and we were able to play around with some ideas during my trial. The day before our wedding, we were able to bring all of my bridesmaids, my mom, mother-in-law and sister-in-law into the salon for manicures, pedicures, etc and had the salon to ourselves to relax and get pampered for the morning which was amazing! For our wedding, Mel and Lizzy traveled to where we were getting ready, brought all of their equipment and did our hair and makeup there. It was so nice and relaxing to have them come to us, and not have to worry about much! My hair/makeup and my bridesmaids hair/makeup looked amazing, and I got so many complements day of and also on our wedding photos. I definitely recommend The Beauty Bar! ☺️

I can’t say enough good things about The Beauty Bar. I took Mel up on her new styling service that she’s wanting to add to the beauty services, and I’m so glad I did! She helped me find the perfect place and outfit for my engagement photos, and did my hair and makeup (the results were amazing). She also helped me find my 5 different Pinterest wedding decor visions in one final look, and where to purchase it all at the best price! On top of that, her and her team are so kind and helped prep me and my friends for the wedding with everything from nails to skin and hair. We also opted for spray tans the night before the wedding, and they came to the Airbnb. It seriously is a one stop shop, and I’ll definitely be back for years to come. Thanks again for everything. The Beauty Bar did an amazing job with our wedding! Everyone looked amazing, and we had a good time with Katie and Melissa. You could tell they love what they do, and it made working with them even more fun and easy.

I clearly am not the only one who thinks so, because the amazing reviews are why I booked The Beauty Bar for my wedding, and they do not disappoint! They are so laid back, and easy to work with. I felt like a friend coming to see them, and never like a paycheck. They did my hair and lashes a few times before the wedding, and a facial the week of, and it was amazing every time. I've seen Mel and Katie, and they both traveled 2 hours away for the wedding. They even came the night before, so we wouldn't stress the morning of, and gave us spray tans at our airbnb. On the day of, everything went perfectly. They both did hair and makeup, and everyone looked perfect! The who wanted natural looked so, and those who wanted glam looked glam, but not over the top. I loved how they could really take what we wanted, and execute it exactly. I def recommend The Beauty Bar for your wedding!

The Beauty Bar is amazing! They were so easy to work with. My emails were always answered right away, and they were so accommodating with last minute covid changes. I never felt like a bother to anyone I talked to with my thousands of questions! Mel, the owner is the most knowledgeable person ever for all wedding things, not just beauty related, and Katie nailed my day of hair, and Mel did an amazing job on my makeup. My bridesmaids had so much fun with Katie and Mel, and we would definitely recommend them for your wedding, and all things beauty leading up to your day!

Mel is amazing, so easy to work with and so talented! We did a small backyard wedding this past weekend and she was still so willing to come and do hair and makeup even though we scaled things down. On top of that I love her style of makeup, she makes it look so natural but beautiful - absolutely what my sister and I were looking for. She was also able to run with basically the zero directions or styles I had in mind and come up with something perfect. Can't wait to work with her again when we celebrate in 2022!

Mel and her team were absolutely the best from my first inquiry to the wedding day, and everything in between! Mel was so quick to respond and easy-going with any changes I had to make along the way. My hair and makeup trial a few months prior made me super confident that everything would look just as I imagined it the day of! My group was a total of 10 girls, all getting hair and makeup, and the 3 stylists were happy to travel to our reception location where we would be getting ready that morning. It was amazing how timely they were despite not even knowing what looks my bridesmaids wanted ahead of time. The morning was so stress-free with how laid back the whole process was. They executed everyone's hair styles so perfectly, and we couldn't stop talking about how crazy it was that our makeup was flawless on so many different faces/skin tones. Long story short, these girls are amazing at what they do and had the relaxed wedding morning vibe I needed :)

Since then I have been going to The Beauty Bar for everything: hair, professional makeup, nails, eyebrow waxing and of course my hair and beauty for my wedding. The team here listens to your ideas and does it so much better than you could ever imagine. I highly recommend The Beauty Bar for your wedding. They are professional, talented, respectable, kind, and a hardworking group. I always leave there happy and I can’t thank them enough for making my wedding look come true.

The Beauty Bar is amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about them. First, the pricing was amazing, and Mel and her team went above and beyond! Mel is so knowledgeable about weddings, and helped me with things even outside of hair and makeup. My skin, lashes and hair were all amazing because they gave me and a friend a discount for all their services up until my wedding, so I really got to know everyone, and it made my wedding morning even better. We got ready in the salon, and it was so nice they let us have the place to ourselves, so everyone felt safe because of covid. We were able to bring champagne and snacks, and it made the whole getting ready process so much fun. Thank you so much for making this process of my wedding so memorable! I will definitely be back (as I already have). You have a client for life!

The girls at the Beauty Bar are AMAZING! I was a Covid Bride so my wedding was rescheduled, canceled, then replanned all within a few months - they were so understanding and rearranged their schedules each time to accommodate the new plan! They were such a breath of fresh air in a time that was unbelievably stressful. When the day finally came, my hair and makeup came out amazing! It was everything I wanted and more. They also fit me in for later in the month when my bridal party had their photoshoot (they were not able to come to the ceremony) and again my hair and makeup came out perfect! I don’t have enough good words about them!

Mel and Katie are PROS! They do amazing work and made me and my bridesmaids feel like queens. They were super chill and easy to work with and above all else, they had us ready to go ahead of schedule! Can't thank them enough!

The Beauty Bar was wonderful to work with and made us all look beautifully natural. Caity did my trial and wedding makeup and was very receptive to changing the color of my foundation when I wasn't sure it was right for me (and nailed it for the wedding). I had a lot of questions leading up and they were very prompt to respond and answer my questions or address my concerns. They are very efficient and easy to work with.

Mel and her team are FANTASTIC! I went to her salon for all of my wedding preparation needs for almost a year before my big day. From hair coloring, to waxing, to facials, to spray tans, Mel made sure I was fully prepared to feel my best on my wedding day. She is very knowledgeable, listens to what you want and gives you great suggestions based on that. I felt like I was in great hands on my wedding day with Mel’s team. They were so much fun to hang out with, and made me and my girls feel so beautiful. If I could do it all again, I would not hesitate to hire The Beauty Bar to do hair & make up for my wedding. The Beauty Bar is the best! Professional, punctual, and lots of fun! They executed our visions flawlessly. We all loved our hair and make-up-- it held up perfectly through the August humidity and even a bit of rain-- from the wedding to the afterparty! Melissa did my makeup for my wedding. I was absolutely gorgeous! My now husband was blown away by how hot I was! She even convinced me to get a spray tan. And me being a red head and pale I was terrified I was going to be orange. But I looked flawless! I have continued to go back every few weeks since! And send all my friends!
