Umbra Winery at La Buena Vida Vineyards Weddings

We had a our wedding shower at this beautiful venue and it was perfect! I requested to have a charcuterie board and bagel bar and they hit it spot on with everything. The venue itself is so beautiful and views outside are great. Due to a storm the power went out and the team was nothing but helpful in creating a back up plan so we can continue to have our shower - thankfully it came back on! This venue is perfect for any event you have - great food, views, and a team that will go above and beyond to make any event you have perfect!

Where to start? I guess with the beautiful architecture, archways, Mediterranean flair of the location itself. It looks stunning during the daytime, but in the courtyard during our first dance, after the sun set and everything is covered by the soft glow of lights, you lose your sense of reality and feel like you’re in a different place/time. Debbie was always very communicative during the planning phase, and thought if everything we had not yet. She’s got a great list of vendors that she knows, a wealth of knowledge and experience. When you get stressed as bride or groom, she will talk you off the ledge! We brought in a couple new vendors, and they were all blown away by the venue as well. The food was excellent, picky kids were accommodated and well taken care of as well. Great planning on staffing, everyone on her staff that assisted with the wedding was kind, very helpful and always smiled! At the end of our evening, I didn’t want to leave and return back to reality!!! But here I am, writing this review, hoping to find an excuse to book another event with Debbie at Umbra!!!!

Debbie and the entire crew at La Buena Vida Vineyards are AMAZING! I had a 2 year long engagement and they were my first vendor to have booked and I have absolutely no regrets. The entire property is gorgeous and doesn’t require hardly any decorations, if any at all! Debbie made sure the planning process was a smooth as could be and touched base with me throughout the entire engagement/planning process. On wedding day, Debbie and her team worked so hard to make sure I was stress free! I 1000% recommended La Buena Vida Vineyards to everyone!

Debbie was immaculate and particular about my wedding, so I will be the same about my review. A moment in time that you will never experience again. Debbie and her crew provide you with a weekend or evening that you can never replicate. We had many family members and friends come in for our wedding from all over the country, and we all had a fantastic unified experience. Venue: Brand new and gorgeous. All of my guests dropped their jaw and had their breath taken away by this venue. It’s a brand-new Spanish-style multi-level venue with so many photo ops. A place for eating, a place for romantic photos, a place for friends to tell a secret. There is something for everyone here. And every detail is done to perfection. The fire pit near the barrel room was a perfect touch to close out our evening. Food: Wow! I have a big Italian family, and you know taste is essential to us. Goodness grief, Debbie blew our expectations out of the water! We chose the Italian dinner option, obviously. It was incredible and very flavorful. There were not any leftovers, and we chose the buffet. She was even able to accommodate a few Gluten-free people and had their options clearly labeled. Location: Close to the DFW airport and 10-15 minutes from Fort Worth. My entire family was from out of town, and we enjoyed seeing the local sights and going into town during the day. Accommodations: We rented all seven cabins and had a great weekend. It was the most memorable get-together my family has ever had. Book on AIRBNB, and you are good to go. Everything was perfect, and we had picky relatives, and they were pleased. Smores by the campfire were some of the best moments. Coordination: Debbie is one of a kind. She has a background in a particular field that I am familiar with that involves details. When she says she is detail-oriented, she is not kidding. No ball is dropped, and she is careful to consider all factors that, quite frankly, you haven’t even considered. We asked her for a one-stop-shop experience, and gosh, did we get it. We barely lifted a finger. I would recommend this venue for one reason, and that is Debbie.

Umbra is beautiful and romantic. It brought our vision of a dark, moody, romantic wedding to life. If we could get married 100 times over, we’d pick Umbra again and again. Debbie was so helpful and so quick to respond when we had questions and put our mind at ease with any concerns we had. The cabins on the property are SO cute and super convenient. I will recommend Umbra to anyone and everyone who ever asks!

This is a fantastic, historic venue nestled away in the country. Working with Debbie was very relaxed, and her experience in event planning / weddings was helpful in finding solutions that worked for us. The venue itself is stunning, and as the oldest winery in the Fort Worth / Dallas area, guests were pleased with the deep history and influence Umbra has in the wine industry. Food was great, serving staff and management (James) was extremely helpful. Whatever last-minute needs popped up, the entire staff from the owners to the boots on the ground servers were ready to assist. The barrel room is an absolutely beautiful and cool place for a ceremony. On-site lodging with cabins was a nice treat also. And last but not least, the wine selections and quality are top-notch. My lovely bride and I HIGHLY recommend Umbra winery.

We chose this winery because of how beautiful this venue was built! Truly what i envisioned for my big day! All of my vendors worked so well with Debbie and her team! The venue offers an exotic getaway feel while still being in the DFW metroplex and has several unique settings on the property that will take your breath away and make for some super fun event pictures. My husband and I had a beautiful weekend and wedding at La Umbra. We loved that we were able to host or wedding party and close friends on site for the weekend. Everything was picturesque and our day turned out wonderful. The building is beautiful inside out and made for perfect pictures. The staff was very helpful and professional. We loved working with Debbie who is knowledgeable and accommodating. She helped out from planning to execution.

Our dream of a Tuscan wedding came true... and we didn't even have to leave Texas! Umbra Winery at La Buena Vida Vineyards made our wedding the most magical experience of our lives. A little piece of Tuscany in Texas, the entire venue was incredible! We were so blown away by all the services that they were able to provide, so much so that we decided to make a whole weekend of it and stay on property for the whole experience. Our weekend began with our entire wedding party checking in to the vineyard cabins on Thursday morning. We actually got there a day early, on Wednesday, to set up some welcome baskets for our guests and were surprised and welcomed with a beautiful congratulatory note and wine from the owners, Debbie and John. We were super excited to see the cabins in person... they are each fantastic and have everything you could possibly think of needing. There's a kitchen in each one complete with cookware, dishes, glassware, a refrigerator, microwave, even an oven. We all made ourselves at home in each of our cabins and picked up groceries and snacks when we were out. If ever we did need anything, Rob was quick to help and he was wonderful and helpful the whole time we were there. The cabins were the perfect place to house our wedding party. We were all together, we could have meals together, cocktails together, it was also great to have a home base while we did last minute errands. Friday was our day to decorate the event space and do our wedding rehearsal. We started with breakfast at the cabins, running a few errands, and then everyone had a decorating task to tackle. We were able to decorate everywhere, the space transformed becoming unique to us and felt so special because we could put our touch on it with decorations and pictures. Because the venue is SO FABULOUS, we even had our rehearsal dinner on property! It was like a one-stop-shop in the absolute best place ever! Our dinner was held in the Estate Barrel Room underneath the event space. It's an absolutely gorgeous room, lined with wine barrels and beautiful lighting. It is so impressive when you walk in through the beautiful wooden doors and see everything set up. Oh! and the food! My gosh... Debbie is the Queen of the dining experience (and of everything, really) at Umbra. In preparing for this rehearsal dinner, she went over all the food options with us that they could provide and really maximized our budget so we could offer a bunch of different options for our guests. All the food was then set up and looked like edible art, it was spectacular. During the dinner, the wine maker, John, talked us through a wine tasting telling us all about the different wines they make right there on property. The whole night was amazing and we felt so spoiled. The day of the wedding started with a champagne toast for the whole wedding party as we each had our hair and makeup done in the bridal suites. It was like a girls party all day long and it was so special to share it with my family and closest friends. Our photographer captured everything and it looked so beautiful because of the setting. Our ceremony was held outside under the beautiful wooden gazebo at sunset, GORGEOUS! After we said our "I do's," we then rang an antique bell in the Umbra bell tower. They make the ringing of the bell into a ceremony of its own and it was the perfect way to end the ceremony part of the wedding and start the party... truly a day I wish would have never ended. It was just magical.

We were supposed to have our 240+ person wedding at another venue, however, with Covid continuing to rear its ugly head I was trying to size down to just family and wedding party which meant I needed to find something a little smaller for this year. I had toured Umbra earlier and we couldn’t quite fit the guest count but I LOVED it. So less than a month before the wedding I reached out to Debbie to see if they had availability. She told me about their express package and it was incredible and SO affordable. They took care of almost everything – set up and take down, basic décor, food, and a case of wine. We switched to cash bar after the case ran out. We also used them for our rehearsal dinner. Both meals were SO GOOD. The venue also has cottages for rent through Airbnb and they were so convenient. We had one for the bridal party, grooms party, parents, and an aunt/uncle. Debbie is an angel and went above and beyond – she even got a previous bride to lend us a cross! Cannot say enough good things about this venue or the family.

What an absolute dream. Like many couples, we had to cancel our destination wedding due to COVID. I spent over a year planning our destination wedding and was feeling a little discouraged on what direction to go. On a whim, I reached out to Debbie at La Buena Vida Winery and I am so grateful I did. She helped me plan our big day in just a month! Her communication was outstanding. The EXPRESS Wedding package was perfect for us. Not only was it affordable, it was clear and easily understood. It included almost everything we needed for the day. The list of preferred vendors she provided helped me piece together everything else. The entire venue is spectacular. We took pictures everywhere. Our ceremony and reception were in the Barrel Room. The ambience is so incredibly romantic and dreamy, we all forgot we were in Springtown, Texas. We chose the Italian Buffet and I’m glad we did. So many of our guests complimented the food, it was delicious! The staff was extremely attentive and kind, especially towards our rowdy group. After the wedding, we all stayed at the Airbnb’s on site and had an absolute blast! Debbie put a special treat in our Cottage for our wedding night, it was so sweet. I highly recommend this venue to all couples. We had an intimate and extremely beautiful celebration. Debbie helped make our dreams come true.

This venue is a hidden gem!! Absolutely beautiful inside and out. My pictures came out amazing and the Owner and staff was great to work with. They made my wedding smooth and better than I could have imagined!

Umbra is just beautiful! Planning a wedding during a pandemic isn’t what we expected but Debbie and everyone at Umbra has been so amazing! Quick responses and easy going with all the changes taking place. So happy we picked Umbra, our wedding is happening!

My fiancé and I live out of state and we were worried our date would be taken before we got to view the venue. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw the pictures and I just HAD to see it. With COVID going around, it made it very difficult for my fiancé and I to just go down to tour it. I messaged them and they offered the FaceTime tour and y’all, I fell in love even more!!!! They listened to every silly question and worked so much with us! We’re so excited to have this venue for our wedding next year!!! They’re so awesome to work with and they keep us updated to the best of their ability as soon as they know. So recommended!

My fiance and I originally had our venue at Noah's Event Venue. Noah's abruptly closed without warning - leaving us scrambling to find a new location. We met the Umbra crew at the Mid-Cities Bridal Show, and they saved the day like knights in shining armor. As soon as we toured the place, we knew it was meant to be. The location is on a stunning vineyard and it makes one feel as if they're in a Spanish villa. It truly is a breathtaking location. And to top it off, they gave us an amazing deal because they understood our situation. I'm so excited for our November wedding. Debbie has been in contact with us constantly keeping us updated on the Covid-19 situation and has worked with us on our payments. Umbra Winery has been a blessing to my fiance and I.

First off I want to start this review by saying that I HIGHLY suggest you go check out Umbra Winery in Springtown because you will instantly fall in love. It is a true hidden gem and only gets better as you learn more about everything they have to offer. To start, Debbie is the most wonderful person and truly wants the best for you and your special day. She has gone above and beyond since day one of us being an Umbra couple. For example, my Grandmother has been sick and I was deeply afraid that she might not make it to our wedding date, so Debbie let us do a "first look" with my Grandmother at the venue so that we could get all dolled up and make the best of the entire situation. She has also let my vendors and I meet up on several occasions at the venue to discuss details/plans without it ever being an issue or making me feel like I was being a burden. We unfortunately had to change our wedding date due to COVID-19 outbreak and Debbie once again absolutely was the best and instantly let me know that whatever I needed, she was there and wanted to make anything she could happen. I truly could not be more thankful for Debbie and all she has done for Clint and I. The venue itself is breath taking. Every detail was thought of and it shows as soon as you walk in. The cottages are such a plus and we have chosen to use them for the entire bridal party the night of the wedding just so we can continue to enjoy our night with friends. The ceremony sight is simple yet elegant and they have left it a nice clean pallet for you to use and add your own personal touches to. In the reception area one of my favorite things is the separate food/buffet room that your guests walk through so that food is not set up and then having to be taken away later on throughout the evening. They offer wine packages, food packages, rehearsal dinner packages and so much more that truly does help you for not only the big day but all the events leading up to it as well. I can not express how wonderful the venue not only is but the owners as well. I can not wait to walk down the aisle at Umbra Winery at La Buena Vida Vineyards and dance the evening away under the beautiful chandeliers that I instantly fell in love with when I first walked in. Please go and visit this venue, take the time to visit with Debbie and I promise you will not be disappointed.

I visited this venue twice before my fiance finally had time to come along on my third visit, and it took a fourth visit from both of us to finally book, but every time I visited I fell in love with the property. It's so beautiful, there's just no other way to describe it! They have a variety of options for ceremonies and receptions, so anything is possible here! The whole staff is SO accommodating, but especially Debbie and Rob who do so much to make sure you're getting an answer to every possible question, (and even helping you remember the details,) they're friendly, dedicated and make you feel so at ease when visiting and planning with them.

After seeing this venue with my fiancé, it was the clear choice! It is just as beautiful inside as it is outside. Rob was so accommodating with our tour and had answers to every question. He made this process so easy and we love how there are absolutely no hidden fees! Do yourself a favor and visit this venue. You won’t fall in love with another after you see this one.

How to begin a review about the perfect spot for a wedding...?? Umbra Winery at La Buena Vida in Springtown, Tx is the most beautiful venue, with a picture perfect facility and surroundings straight out of Napa Valley! Debbie and John (the owners) and their staff are second to none and genuinely cared about our daughter’s special day like it was their own. The selection of wines is amazing. You will see a lot of venues in the area but Umbra was at the top of our list because of details like the antique Spanish bell that the couple rings at the end of their ceremony and the honesty and transparency that we were afforded when working out the details. We celebrated our 25th Anniversary with a Vow Renewal at the Umbra Winery and La Buena Vida Vineyards. What started as a fun idea of ‘what if’, ended with the most magical memories we’ve made since the day we said I Do 25 years ago. Debbie and her staff came together and took our ideas and went beyond what we could’ve imagined. The Vineyard, the Event Center, the Staff, The Wine...Was PERFECT!

This venue is GORGEOUS!!! Debbie is the best and has been super helpful with everything! It’s a complete “all in one” venue. We’re having our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception here along with staying on site both nights. I couldn’t be happier with my experience so far and cannot wait to get married here!!

The Umbra Winery is our absolute dream venue. It is beautiful with it's gorgeous white washed walls, clay roof tiles, and acres of vineyard; not to mention the interior, which doesn't need many decorations to accommodate the look of your wedding. There are countless photo ops including the fountain, bell tower, wine cellar, vineyard, and ballroom. The staff has the best customer service ever. Debbie is great; she is so friendly, knowledgeable, and comforting as the day approaches. She has been very accommodating throughout the whole experience and replies so quickly. Rob is also awesome and has the ability to brighten up the room with his humor. Altogether, we are so pleased and excited about our experience at Umbra Winery.

Debbie, and everyone else at Umbra Winery at La Buena Vida Vineyards, are exceptional people to work with! Her excitement about our pending nuptials rivals that of our own. They have worked incredibly hard to create a venue that is truly magnificent. From their elegant main ballroom and the suites for getting prepared to the stately barrel room, we have been nothing but impressed. Just above the barrel room is their tasting room, and they have some amazing treats both to eat and drink! (The cabernet sauvignon is my favorite.) They have been so helpful and accommodating to us when we wanted to do our engagement photos. We arrived early in the morning and Debbie had already opened the doors for our photographer so he could get some lighting figured out before our arrival. The flexibility to have a beautiful event indoors or out is one of the reasons we have fallen in love with Umbra Winery @ LBVV. We are so excited about the cabins that are on site to rent! Our out of town guests and our wedding party will all be booking them(some already have I believe) for the days and evening leading up to and following our big day. I can't overstate how much that played a factor into our decision to trust Debbie, and her wonder team, to help us bring our dream wedding to life.

This venue is absolutely stunning! You must go out and see it. It has a beautiful outdoor space perfect for cocktail hour and sunset pictures with your new hubby. Debbie was fantastic to work with. She was there for all the little changes and last minute details. We appreciate all she did to help make the event a huge success! We truly enjoyed working with Umbra and look forward to doing it again in the future.

I worked with Debbie and her team on a Styled Bridal Shoot at LBVV and not only was the venue absolutely stunning but they were great to work with! Very collaborative! Debbie's team was more than willing to help me and the other vendors there with anything we needed, no matter how unique the idea was. If they were that wonderful for us, I know they are that wonderful for their couples! Plus the venue itself has multiple different vibes to play with for photos, so it could fit almost every bride's vision in one way or another.

I am not getting married at the venue until June 2020, but so far we have had a pleasant experience. Debbie is sweet and passionate about what she does. She is accommodating and provides honest feedback. The venue is stunning and truly one of a kind. I look forward to working with Debbie, and will add to my review after we get married next year!

We already knew and loved Umbra so it was an easy choice to pick Umbra Winery at La Buena Vida Vinyards for our wedding and we couldn't be happier! The location itself looks straight out of an Italian countryside and Debbie, John, and the team have left no details untouched! This venue is absolutely breath-taking; a hidden gem located about 45 minutes past Fort Worth. This place has it all, from a beautiful gazebo for your ceremony, a stunning and spacious ballroom overlooking the vineyard for your reception, a wine cellar for amazing photos, to cute rental cottages on the property. And also, a bell tower to ring after the ceremony. The owner, Debbie, had been more than amazing to work with. Her and her staff had gone above and beyond our expectations and made our day so special and perfect in every way possible. It was definielty a day my husband and I will always cherish and remember thanks to Debbie and her team.

When it comes to working at a venue, I do not think it gets any better than Umbra Winery at Buena Vida Vineyards. Debbie (the owner) was extremely accommodating and her staff was as professional as we've seen. Every aspect of this venue was immaculate. From the kitchen to the tasting room, to the staging area to the grand reception area....all first class! As a cater, client, or patron, I highly recommend this venue for any event. Umbra is an immaculately-realized Spanish-inspired experience, leaving very little to the imagination station. Debbie and her husband have done a fantastic job creating a special retreat in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The moment my fiancee and I exited our vehicle and stepped on the ground, we fell in love. And let tell you this: Debbie will be an invaluable partner as you plan your big day. She's been great to us! This venue has it all. From a stunning reception area to an outdoor ceremony site, to the wine cellar, to the rental cabins for you and your guests, you simply cannot go wrong with Umbra. If you're planning a larger-scale ceremony and service, there are nearby (20-30 minutes) hotels in Downtown Forth. I would not recommend Weatherford...not the nicest place.

This venue is even more gorgeous in person than it is in the pictures!! Every aspect of the venue is intentionally created to make your wedding go as perfectly as possible! Debbie and her staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day!

My fiancé, family and I toured then venue and knew instantly that this was the perfect venue. I had not seen another venue like this is the north Texas area and the price was hard to beat. Another huge perk are the cottages that you can rent out. We reserved all of them for our bridal party to stay in for the weekend. All of the staff was extremely kind and welcoming. I am so looking forward to being married here this coming September!

This venue is breathtaking! I little slice of heaven in Springtown Texas! Ashleigh was so sweet when showing us around... we knew instantly that this would be the sight where my daughter would get married! The Spanish colonial design of the wedding venue is so pretty... I lost count how many times we used the word “pretty” during our tour. The grapevines are a beautiful back drop for the ceremony, even for our soon to be winter bride... although they are dormant right now they still make a unique backdrop! The bell tower is an unexpected bonus, with the antique bell that the bride and groom get to ring after the ceremony. This venue is unlike any other venue we looked at. Another added bonus are the cute little cottages on the property. These are perfect for out of town guests or in our case, a perfect setting for the groom and his groomsmen to stay the night before the wedding...no excuses for showing up late! La Buena Vida is everything we were looking for in a wedding venue!

I wanted someplace special...unique...hopefully even a place none of my friends had been to before. We met at a wine tasting, so a vineyard seemed like a great idea for the wedding. But none of the vineyards or wineries in the DFW area seemed just right (too big, too small, too boring, too tacky). I was beginning to feel like Goldilocks - and my fiance and mom were about to kill me. And then we visited Umbra at La Buena Vida Vineyard... and we knew we had found the perfect place for our special day! Ashleigh gave us a tour of the property and venue. She is amazing... so sweet, great ideas. She really listened to what we were looking for right from the beginning. I am so excited to work with her on all the details. Also met the owners, Debbie and John - and found out they met at a wine tasting too! The venue is lovely and peaceful and everything we were looking for...beautiful vineyard views, rolling hills, plenty of space, and so quiet out in the country. I love that this is a brand new venue and all my friends are dying to come check it out! They have adorable cabins to rent anytime (thru airbnb I think?) And the ballroom - WOW! Gorgeous space! It is a new building with all the amenities we would ever need (hello wifi), but somehow it feels like it's been here for a long time. The whole place is just full of really impressive attention to detail in a way I haven't seen at other venues. There are gorgeous areas for the bride and groom on either side of the ballroom (Love the mirrors and lighting and antique furniture. Already planning the getting ready photos in there). The whole place is just comfortable yet elegant. The barrel room is so cool that we definitely want to do something in there too, and the tasting room will be a fun activity for the part of our group that is staying there for the whole weekend. Speaking of which, we did manage to taste some wine and it is AWESOME! My guests will be thrilled that they are drinking so well! I hadn't been to Umbra Winery in Grapevine before - but we just had a date night there and it was really cool with fab food. Debbie and John obviously know what they are doing! The only thing I was a little worried about was the location as don't know that area well and looking at the map before I went it seemed far away. Gotta say I was wrong. Yep. I was really surprised at how convenient it was - a little over an hour driving from my place in Las Colinas. Just far enough to be a worthwhile destination!

My fiancee and I have been all over trying to find the perfect venue for our wedding. I heard about this place from a friend who has passed it multiple times so I decided to check it out. I was stunned by how beautiful the location is. I was able to take a tour even though they are under construction and I absolutely loved it. They have cute cottages that you can rent out so if you have family coming from out of town its perfect. The event building is gorgeous and has a very unique style compared to alot of the other places Ive looked at. It also has a really cool bell tower that you can ring when you get married. I got to meet with Debbie and her brother and they were the sweetest people. They gave me a ton of info and told me the event center will be opening in August. I cant wait to come back and see it completely finished. I am hoping to book here as it is on the top of my list and I think this would be the perfect spot for us to have our wedding.

Touring Umbra Winery was an amazing experience. This facility is top notch and full of flair. The beautiful grounds, gorgeous bungalows, and state of the art winery captivates my thoughts. Umbra Winery is where I will wed my love and celebrate my 50th birthday, in tandem.
