We booked Oats and Honey after seeing her do a few other friends photos. Heather was so easy to work with and made posing so easy. She was always up for a crazy idea, like throwing the groom in the air or stopping to take photos at the bar my husband and I met at. She was so fun and truly the third person in our wedding party!

I could not recommend Heather and her team enough. Amazing people with beautiful talent, Heather is such a calm and comfortable person, I knew 20 minutes into our engagement session that not only did I pick the best person for our wedding but that I also made a lifelong friend. She's so easy to communicate with and knew exactly the vibe we were going for. Our pictures are STUNNING.

I'm so glad I decided to book Oats&Honey Photography for my wedding!! Heather was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish! She was on top of everything leading up to the event, providing helpful resources for making a day-of timeline as well as getting all the details for our event. She was always responsive and helpful! When it came to the day-of, Heather was absolutely amazing! She had such a positive, up-beat attitude and was so fun to work with! She had awesome ideas for our couples shots and gave us gentle tips for poses that made it all feel so natural. She also worked some magic on the ring bearer, and managed to get him involved (and smiling!) in the group photos! Besides her creative eye and being easy to work with, Heather also made sure we stuck to the timeline/shot list previously agreed upon, which I appreciated as well. My family even commented on how wonderful Heather was! Having recently gotten back our sneak peak photos, my husband and I are even more overjoyed that we worked with Oats&Honey Photography!! The photos and style are SO beautiful and even better than what we could have imagined!! We are beyond happy with Oats&Honey Photography and their work :)

Me and my now husband LOVED working Heather and her husband. They were the absolute best, we said it countless times throughout the night, we would recommend them to everyone we know! Not only were they the sweetest and literally had our backs with each and every little thing that came up, but they just get it. We didn’t have to repeat ourselves, they just already knew! This is probably one of the easiest reviews I’ve ever done. Oats and Honey is absolutely amazing. Heather is extremely kind and she is very easy to work with. She is professional and so much fun. From the first time we met her she was just super friendly which made taking the photos so much more comfortable. Throughout the whole wedding planning process she was never a stranger. On the wedding day, she relieved so much stress with her words of encouragement and the way they got the whole day to flow so well. You can tell that her whole group really has a passion for what they do. That is very reassuring when you’re trying to plan one of the biggest days of your life🧡🧡 I can say thank you a million times and it wouldn’t be enough to value how thankful we are for such an amazing group that helped us out.

We chose Oats and Honey for our wedding! It was a simple, smooth booking process. They were eager to answer all the questions we had, and very knowledgeable about the wedding realm. Heather is so detail oriented and made sure that we knew she was prepared to get all the shots we wanted! The wedding day went smoothly because of Heather and Ron. They are kind, patient, and creative. I love how they made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and created gorgeous photos of everyone. Heather is a magician. She was finished with our wedding gallery three weeks early!! I am in awe of all of the photos and look forward to working with them again in the future!

We used O&H for our wedding &we are SO HAPPY! If you're on the fence about using this team for your wedding.Please read on. When I got engaged, I remember searching for photographers with the most reviews & the largest companies, thinking well there are so many reviews so they have to be the best! THIS IS NOT TRUE AT ALL SO DO NOT BASE YOUR DECISION OFF OF THAT! I did just that, initially signed a contract with a large Chicago-based company. Little did I know, I was told that it was a "team" of photographers & my initial Skype meeting was with a sales rep (I thought he was the photographer & LOVED his personality but then learned that they "match you up with photographers" and we weren't actually talking to our photographer). We did our engagement photos with our photographer & I was so unhappy (outdated/extremely awkward poses, VERY slow pace). I remember telling my fiancé that we will be so disappointed with wedding photos if this is what they are going to look like. We have a large family, we weren't doing a "first look" & I needed/wanted a photographer that was going to take candid photos quickly, efficiently, &beautifully. Even tho I signed a contract with a big company, my fiancé & I decided to start looking at other photographers. Wedding photos are FOREVER and SO IMPORTANT! I personally love candid looks. When I came across O&H photos & searched through her albums, I absolutely loved them. Fortunately, she was available for my date. We met on FaceTime, never meeting in person or doing a prior shoot! I canceled my contract (not even receiving a refund) with the other company &decided 5 minutes after FaceTiming Heather that I wanted her as my photographer. We met the day of my wedding& they were personable&SO fun to work with. After this experience I've learned to support and trust smaller companies - especially O&H,they genuinely CARE about their clients and THEY KNOW WEDDINGS. They helped make my day run smoothly&I'm SO HAPPY with my beautiful photos - they even got them to us within 30 days! (other companies take months)I'm pretty sure they are superhuman. I cannot say enough about Heather & Ron. They are SO ORGANIZED (which helps with my Type A personality). They keep in touch with you throughout your timeline- sending questionnaires to get to know you, the vibe, what you're looking for, what photos you want to have&they even ask about potential family drama/uncomfortable situations (it's a good heads up: divorced parents, weird step-parents, any drama that could affect your wedding day!) I found this helpful to have that communication to help prep for the big day! Since we were not doing a first look, Ron took the photos of the groomsmen & Heather was with the ladies. When it was time for the ceremony, they worked together to get beautiful angles and capture EVERY LITTLE THING. They captured small details, the big picture, and so many amazing bride/groom photos where I can't help but go back and look at them and smile. They were quick (awesome since we had a tight timeline), they told us how to pose (we aren't too comfortable in front of the camera but the photos made me feel like a model), they keep the flow moving and they help with anything! My bridal party&family loved them. My husband & I are so happy. Heather & Ron I will forever be grateful for all of your help. I will always refer couples your way & look forward to using you in the future<3 If you're currently looking them up &potentially interested..BOOK THEM!

Oats & Honey was an amazing choice from the start for our wedding!! My now-husband and I met with Heather at Starbucks and we talked for 2 hours about our wedding, photography, card & board games, and just life! The connection was immediate and we trusted her to capture our day and she did not disappoint!! My fiancé moved across the country before we were able to get our engagement session done and Heather was able to fit us in when he was back for a quick weekend, it never felt rushed, and she made it so much fun! For our wedding, we had done a late morning ceremony with pictures taking place around 12:30pm. Though the lighting wasn't ideal, Heather did AMAZING and our pictures are absolutely PERFECT!!!! She worked with our timing throughout the day and made sure everything was running smoothly!! I cannot recommend Oats & Honey Photographey highly enough! You will not regret hiring them!! They are amazing photographers and just amazing people!!

Heather was the best photographer I could ask for for my wedding! She knows exactly what poses will look good in photos and will direct you. Any photos you tell her what you want she’ll make sure that you get them. I also got my photos 3 weeks earlier then expected! Thank you Oats & Honey!

I wish I could give this review 10 stars, Heather and Ron were so absolutely incredible and helped to make our day even better every step of the way. She helped calm me when I was stressed and Ron helped to entertain my husband when he was getting bored of taking photos lol. I can’t say enough good things. Heather also did our family photos a few weeks before the wedding and she was so patient and relaxed. They will be the company we use for everything.

10/10 recommend O&H! They were a dream to work with, and are super fun yet very professional to work with! Loved these guys and wouldn’t have wanted any other company to shoot our big day!

Heather and Ron were SUCH a pleasure to work with! Having not had any formal pictures since my senior year of high school, I so was nervous about the process... O&H made it easy and fun for both our engagement pictures and our wedding day. Heather was always easy to reach to answer any questions I had. They showed up on time, kept to our schedule, and made sure to capture all of our important moments. I can't rave about their talent enough! They have a unique way of finding just the right balance between posing you for the perfect picture, but still encouraging you to let your personalities shine through, My husband and I are rarely serious and they encouraged our silliness the whole way through! It made for the absolute best experience and our pictures feel so perfectly US.
