Ashleigh Elizabeth Weddings and Events

We worked with Ashleigh as our wedding planner for our November 2024 wedding, and while our wedding weekend was ultimately beautiful, I wanted to share an honest review to help future couples make an informed decision. I have already spoken to Ashleigh before writing this review. Ashleigh was friendly and had good design ideas, but communication and follow-through were consistent challenges throughout our planning process and on the wedding day itself. Meetings were frequently delayed or missed, and I often had to follow up multiple times for updates. Many details we had previously discussed were forgotten or incorrect, including important family names on timelines (which we did not receive until just days prior to the event and included my deceased grandfather) and logistical elements like our flower petal exit and champagne tower. On our very first design meeting, which I paid extra for (a deck with design ideas), there was a different couples name on the deck, and she had to pause the call for 15 minutes to take another call, so she did not review the final few pages with me. On the rehearsal day, after meeting everyone and running through things, Ashleigh rudely asked the groom whether he was an usher in front of the entire wedding party and parents. On the wedding day, one of the biggest issues was the absence of an assistant, which was promised in our contract. This contributed to delays and unnecessary stress, such as my mother waiting an hour for assistance, confusion during the cake cutting, and key family members being misplaced or asked to leave at critical moments. I was offered a refund of $200 for this after speaking with Ashleigh, which I did not receive, and felt missed the point- I do not think it would have ever been acknowledged had I not had to bring it up multiple times. These things happen, but the point is we were never told and it seemed things wanted to just be swept under the rug. While I understand weddings are complex, many of these issues could have been avoided with clearer communication and better organization. Despite these concerns, I truly wanted to have a positive experience. However, the lack of responsiveness after the wedding, including unfulfilled promises to provide notes and follow-ups, left me feeling overlooked. For example, my aunt lost a bracelet which was given to Ashleigh, and it took me and my mother multiple emails and texts for multiple weeks to actually get the bracelet returned to my aunt. My cake knife (an expensive gift from a grandmother) was lost and never returned, and my garter was taken by Ashleigh out of my suite and never seen again (or worn on my big day). If you are a highly organized couple who doesn’t mind micromanaging details, Ashleigh may still be a good fit. But if you’re looking for a planner who is proactive, communicative, and consistently follows through, I’d recommend considering other options. I wish I had seen a review like this before booking, so I hope it helps others in their planning process.

Before I even announced my engagement, I knew I had to book Ashleigh. Ashleigh and her team were absolutely amazing to work with! I am beyond grateful for the amount of care that she put into every detail of my wedding day. When it was time to start planning, I had just started my first year in medical school and was stressed and frazzled most days. Ashleigh was incredibly patient and would work around my schedule to make me as comfortable as possible. During the planning process, she was very preceptive to my feedback and was able to latch on to pieces of my vision and pull everything into one cohesive design. I’m fully convinced that she could read my mind! Ashleigh has a wonderful relationship with numerous local vendors and her collaborative expertise is evident in each portrayal of her work. Her experience and connections in the wedding industry definitely alleviated decision fatigue throughout planning. On the wedding day, I did not have to worry about anything, which allowed me to be present in every moment and soak up as much as I could. Ashleigh and her team were prepared for anything and were SO supportive and uplifting through each step of the day. If anything went wrong, I did not know! I couldn’t have chosen a better person to make my dreams a reality.

Ashleigh is the absolute best! From the very beginning, it was clear Ashleigh was more than a planner. She strived to know us on a personal level, not just on a business level. She became a friend and made the year-long planning process stress-free and something to look forward to. She took ideas straight out of my head, sometimes before I even knew I was thinking it. The level of passion Ashleigh has for her clients, along with wedding planning, makes her an absolute dream. Her creativity is beyond anything we have seen, and her dedication is admirable. She went above and beyond to make our day the most magical it could be, and we will forever be grateful for her and her team. Not to mention, she got injured the day before our wedding and required stitches, yet she was still there the entire day of the wedding, setting up with her boot on. I highly recommend Ashleigh to anyone and everyone getting married!! Thank you for everything, Ashleigh!
