We hired JM Event Planning last minute for our wedding for setup and breakdown of the venue and thank goodness we did!! We felt so relieved when their team, Gaby, Drew and Ashley had most everything set up by the time we got to the venue. They were flexible with the wind that threatened to topple over all the table decor and quickly rearranged things before everyone sat down for dinner. They took care of cleaning up and breaking down all the chairs and tables so that we could enjoy time with our friends and family and not have to worry about anything at the end of the night! So glad we hired them and so happy with how everything turned out!
If I could give 0 stars I would. How do you take someone’s deposit, cancel their first appointment to meet you, and then ghost them?? Is that how you run your business? Yikes, not a good look.
My daughter and fiancée were so excited to work with this coordinator they sent there deposit and set a meeting the morning of the meeting she cancels says she’s sick and now has completely ghosted them and kept their $600 deposit. So disappointing. Hoping these reviews hurt her business it’s not right !!!!!!!
Jennifer Miranda took my deposit and has not spoken to me since. She cancelled my first meeting, then completely ghosted my fiancé and I. She has scammed us out of $600 and provided ZERO services. DO NOT BOOK HER AS A COORDINATOR.
Jennifer Miranda is a legitimate FRAUD. She took our $600 deposit and has gone no contact. She cancelled our first in person meeting, has not replied to any and all attempts at reaching her through text, call and email. I will be contacting theknot to get her “business” listing taken down.
What kind of person could do such a thing?? It’s heinous. Word of advice to all couples- do NOT book her, she’ll take your money and offer NOTHING in return.
Jennifer's team was A+!! So easy and trusting to work with, and completely professional! Worked with them on both wedding events - and will hire for future local events for sure! Highly recommend!!
Jennifer and her wonderful staff were worth every penny! Of all the vendors we arranged for our wedding, their service was what we were most grateful for. They took everything off our hands (both things we had and hadn't thought of) so we could just focus on the day. Thank you so much!
We had our wedding September 2023 & JM Event Planning & Production staffed our servers and bartenders. An amazing team! They were professional, organized, friendly, & think 10-steps ahead. The planning process was wonderful as Jennifer and her team thought of all aspects of our venue and event to ensure smooth transitions and positive experience for our guests. The event itself went off without a hitch. We had so many guests take time to share with us after our wedding how fun and friendly JM Events staff were.
I could tell from our first meeting that their team had a good handle of their responsibilities, as they anticipated and planned for everything. Especially possible incidences my novice non-planner self could have never foreseen. I recommend them for all events. They saved me from all worry and anxiety on our wedding day.
We recently had Jennifer as our wedding coordinator at the Ace hotel in Palm Springs. She took over a month before our wedding and went above and beyond for us. Jennifer made our day go so smoothly!!! She helped us feel so at ease and helped us enjoy our day. Jennifer set up our venue space and truly made our vision come to life. She cleaned up our hotel room at the end of the night and even put waters for us on the bedside tables!!! She took care of EVERYTHING and was kind and caring too. I would hire Jennifer all over again.
Dear brides you need to hire JM events for your wedding! Coming from a 2023 bride who has been planning for since the pandemic YOU NEED this. With catering you’re generally required to have waitstaff to help manage. But JM went above and beyond what I expected for the day. When I first inquired with the company I got to speak to Miranda and she is a miracle worker because she was able to grant me my wish for the day and that was to be eat, drink, and enjoy my day. She was also able to provide things important things like coffee and tea service as well as trash cans and ice tubs. When we got to the venue Miranda and her staff were busy at work setting up the table scape and during the wedding they made sure guests were getting wine arrive and kept things tidy and organized. The best part was one of the servers were tasked with taking care of the bride and groom so I ACTUALLY got to ENJOY my wedding. I always had food and drinks brought to me. If I had a chance to do this all over again I would definitely go with JM planning for any event.
Our Wedding was everything we hoped for and more, thanks to JM Events. Jennifer and her assistant Makayla were a delight to work with, they are true professionals and made my vision come to life. After the initial meeting, Jennifer provided me with a spreadsheet that kept me well-organized and on top of things. The day of the wedding, her team picked up last minute items from my house and pastries for the dessert table (thank you) so that I could focus on getting ready. Her experience and coordination skills shined the day of the event, if any issue arose, I was never aware of it. If you use JM Events be assured that your event will be extraordinary. Thank you for the peace of mind, your professionalism, for being personable and your creative touch.
We used JM Event Planning’s waitstaff and bartending services back in June 2022 for our two day wedding in Santa Barbara. Jennifer was such a pleasure to work with. I didn’t have an event coordinator so she worked with me and was very hands on and asked all the right questions prior to the events. We had two events, our wedding with an early dinner afterwards and reception party the next day. She set up our tables effortlessly and managed dinner service as well as clean up. I was so concerned about clean up particularly as it involved working with our other vendors, caterer and rental company. Everything went off without a hitch. I didn’t have to worry about clean up at all and she did such a good job that I got my security deposit back from both venues.
She made sure my husband and I were properly fed and had our drinks of choice. Even my maid of honor was ringing praises for Jennifer and how great she was. I also loved the platform she used for her invoice set up where I could see the pricing of everything and if I wanted to add something on the pricing was right there. It reduced unnecessary back and forth emails.
I highly recommend them as a vendor for your next event!
We live, work and play in the high desert out by Joshua Tree and Pioneertown, so when we decided to have our NYE wedding out there, our wedding planner connected us with Jennifer and her company JM Event Planning. They know the high desert landscape so well and in terms of people power they were ours and should be everyone's one stop shop. Jennifer's team helped us host our Arrivals Dinner and they were like ninja's. Everything was executed flawlessly and even though my wife and I knew they were there to handle the event, I just noticed the results without any stress from the team. Effortless and effective. We will definitely work with Jennifer and JM Event Planning for future high desert shindigs.
Jennifer and her team went above and beyond for our big day. She handled all communication with vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding. She was so easy to work with and made sure even the tiniest details were taken care of. Multiple guests at our wedding have said the day was seamless, and that is 100% because of Jennifer and her team.
I can’t say enough good things about Jennifer, her husband and their team. Our wedding day was seamless thanks to them and they were all dressed very professionally. Her husband was always making sure that myself and my husband had a drink in our hand and were fed. Thank you guys for everything!
She took our deposit and never called us back. I have reached out multiple times via email and phone and have never heard back from her. I do not recommend her. She made several excuses when I first attempted to meet with her and getting in touch with her was so difficult. Her phone was broken, she was sick, busy with other weddings. How do you operate as a planner with a broken phone? Do not trust the other reviews that are posted. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PLANNER. I would not even give one star on this review but unfortunately the knot makes you. I don’t believe in posted badly about others but I’m doing it to hopefully save someone else from losing money and the stress she has caused us.
Jennifer and her team were absolutely fantastic! Literally couldn’t have asked for better staffing team for my wedding weekend. Jennifer was so kind and thoughtful, during my initial calls with her, she asked me all the right questions and thought of random little and important things that I would have never thought of. Her and her team were so on top of it and so organized, there was never a moment where my husband and I (or any of our guests) felt unattended- she even had drinks ready for us in hand after we walked down the aisle! Seriously, my wedding weekend ran smoothly because of JM Staffing and I am so grateful. If you want reliable, professional, kind and caring staff for your events- look no further We will hire JM Staffing for all of our future events, hands down.
After a horrible experience with a coordinator that was flakey I hired Jennifer and from the get-go she was amazing. I am so glad I found her and did I mention I hired her not to long before my wedding and OMG she made our wedding day amazing. There were a few minor hiccups with the wedding venue and she was able to handle them before I stressed. Jenn and her assistant did an amazing job decorating our venue and coordinating the day to go so smoothly. If you are in need of a coordinator please hire them they are truly amazing and will make your experience of planning your wedding so much more enjoyable. Thank you again Jenn.
Hired bartender and event consulting team for sisters wedding. Fantastic team to work with all around. Jennifer was responsive to my numerous questions, helped with planning and logistics for the bar (types of booze, quantity, some ideas for premixed “bride special drinks”). They even picked up some missing mixers for me for the hosted bar. The wedding day was great and Ken showed up on time for setup, chilling drinks etc and was professional and knew his away around the bar and mixed drinks. He even made some experimental drinks based on the brides request (the nanilani is now in his recipe inventory). I would hire them again and recommend them for any occasion, big or small. We hired Jennifer and her team to staff our wedding and they were nothing short of incredible. Our venue was completely a la carte so everything had to be brought and handled separately - the JM team juggled lots of different vendors and tasks with ease, making everything feel cohesive. We had a few day-of twists & turns that needed extra attention and the JM team went above and beyond to make it all go smoothly. We even had some guests come up to us specifically to tell us how great the staff was. Would highly recommend Jennifer and her team, excellent all around. Thank you!
My husband and I are so happy we had Jennifer as part of our Day of coordination. It was an absolute pleasure working with her. My husband and I are not the people who have ever thought about what our wedding should look like apart from having our closest people around us to celebrate it with us. Our whole idea for the wedding was to throw a party, and Jennifer did a fabulous job executing it.
She is very professional and yet had a personal touch to everything that was part of the wedding. My husband and I could enjoy our wedding day because Jennifer and her team were there to handle everything. She is always there to help and answer any questions. She is the sweetest person ever. She also made sure to check on us every few days before the wedding and on the day of the wedding. Jennifer understands her client's vision and puts in the effort to create a wedding the client envisioned.

Working with Jennifer and her team was an incredible experience! From start to finish, she was quick to respond, easy to work with, and offered suggestions when needed! We used her staffing services for bartenders at our 180 person wedding. Although I didn't get to spend too much time talking with the bartenders on-site, our guests said they were super cool & fun! The drinks they made were fantastic and our guests couldn't stop raving. We so appreciate Jennifer and her team for making our magical day such a success!
Stay away from this planner. We paid our deposit, setup the 1st call to kick things off and she disappeared. Didn't call into the 1st kick off call, didn't respond to follow up outreach: text messages, emails, DM on social media, calls - nothing. We were at first worried something may have happened to her, but no one from her team connected or sent an email to explain. We have not been able to get our deposit back and she's completed zero work on our wedding - it's puzzling..just take our money and run? Very disappointing and so egregious we feel the need to report this business to The Knot and BBB.
Jennifer was great to work with leading up to the wedding. She sent over a spreadsheet which kept us organized and on time with planning. She recommended some great vendors as well. On the day of the wedding, everything seemed to go off without a single problem. I was able to enjoy my wedding and had absolutely no concerns. Her team was enthusiastic and so talented. I am so appreciative of her help, and have gotten so many compliments on our wedding!
My husband and I are so happy we hired JM for our backyard wedding. We were married at an estate in the Santa Barbara hills, and we held each part of the event in different parts of the property. Jennifer attended our walk-through at our venue and provided valuable feedback throughout. She helped us pick out our signature cocktails, sent us a suggested list for alcohol shopping, and provided excellent service on our wedding day, as well as the time leading up to the event. I highly recommend them for any occasion. If you use their bartending services, you can't go wrong with the watermelon martini + maple old-fashioned - so delicious and so classy!
We were extremely pleased with our decision to go with JM Event Planning for the staffing needs for our backyard wedding. Jennifer was professional and helpful! She attended our walk through, gave valuable feedback about our food service and event flow, and even helped us with a shopping list for the bar! This was so insightful and important.

Jennifer Miranda and her team did an exceptional job at the wedding I coordinated this past weekend at Smoky Hollow Studios. A lot has changed since COVID; protocols are different and the venue itself has changed a bit! Jennifer Miranda adapted swiftly and accommodated the requests of the venue gracefully. She connected with the caterer a few days ahead and made sure her team was there and at the ready when he needed them to pass hors d'oeuvres and all three courses to seated guests. Her team also tended bar and cleaned up at the end of the evening. I don't know what we would have done without them! Thank you, Jennifer! It was a pleasure working with you and your staff. Everyone was friendly and professional. I can't wait to work with you again.
I’m a wedding planner and before the pandemic hit, we had reserved a venue for my couple to take place on 10/10/20. However, due to state and local orders we could not hold a wedding for 400 guests at the venue. My clients still wanted to get married on the date with under 100 guests in their backyard. I had a caterer but needed servers, bartenders and the full service staff who would also follow CDC guidelines when working this event. Due to restrictions and safety reasons, I could not do the normal family style so we needed the food to be served Russian style (brought out in platters and served directly on the plate of each guests).
I found JM events on Yelp and decided to give them a try. Jennifer met with my clients and I the week before the wedding. She understood exactly what I needed for this event. On the day of the event she showed up with her service staff and they were all professional, joyful and worked hard to ensure that everything was smooth. They serviced the food Russian style as requested.
I highly recommend JM events to provide full bar and food serving services . The staff is very professional, accommodating and always had a smile on their face. 5 stars for sure!
While we have used JM Events for multiple weddings, they most recently staffed a large private estate wedding we coordinated this past summer. Jennifer and her team were professional and on top of everything. They handled set up, bartending, serving, wait staff, bussing and clean up, as well as many other catering and staffing duties. I always recommend JM Events to my couples and will continue doing so, they are wonderful to work for and give great piece of mind!
I had the privilege of working with JM Event Planning Services for a baby shower at a private residence. Jennifer was absolutely great and so easy to work with. Her staff was so very kind and on top of it! As an Event Planner, it's critical that I partner with other vendors who take initiative and are great with guests. JM Events did just that and the baby shower was absolutely lovely. Huge thanks to them!
My husband and I booked Jennifer and her team through our wedding planner. Due to COVID, we had to change a lot of things around and we booked JM events for their banquet service very late into the game. I was worried that with the small amount of time we had to plan, it wouldn't turn out how we imagined, but Jennifer and her team were AMAZING! The service we received was top notch. Her bartenders prepared our signature drinks exactly how we wanted and her server staff was incredible. I would highly recommend using JM as your vendor!

Jennifer and her staff were amazing! Our wedding was at Crystal Cove State Park and we had the food catered from a local restaurant. The staff did EVERYTHING from pick up the food at the restaurant, to helping with set up of tables and décor, to plating appetizers just how I'd asked, to refilling waters, etc. She was attentive to all the little details I wanted and the whole event ran so smoothly. They were EXCELLENT! I honestly think they are a HUGE part of why the wedding came off so great. Without a great staff and generators, you'd basically be camping out there. But it felt luxurious and wonderful and we had so many guests comment about how great the staff was. I would definitely recommend Jennifer and her crew to anyone!
