Knot Common Events

We worked with Kaitlin and Ally at Knot Common and they made our wedding day so easy, smooth, and enjoyable from start to finish. Kaitlin was on top of wrangling all of the wedding party and family, directing everyone throughout the rehearsal and wedding day. I truly got to show up and enjoy the day with very few distractions- from the time I went into the suite to start getting ready until I came out for the ceremony, the space totally transformed and I didn't have to think about a thing. The team at Knot Common were extremely helpful every step of the way and we would recommend them to anyone!

We couldn't be more grateful to Ally and her team for the impeccable job on my daughter's wedding. Our outdoor wedding took a turn last minute, due to weather, and needed to be moved inside. She handled it seamlessly, coordinating the changes and we were able to have the happiest day ever! We will continue to support Knot Common Events!

Ally and Knot Common Events are phenomenal, and helped us plan and execute our dream wedding day. From the very beginning she was available throughout the process, and was so helpful with suggestions and guidance when I needed it most. On our wedding day, she took every ounce of stress away. She did absolutely everything and helped set up everything perfectly. I am a Type A bride, and she knew all the answers before I could even get the questions out. She was on top of it. Our day was smooth and stress free thanks to Ally and her team. There was no better feeling than walking out of the styling suite and seeing your vision come to life. I was so confident in all of her decisions. It rained during our ceremony, and she willing pulled me and my father up the ceremony site to avoid us getting drenched. She went above and beyond. Multiple family members stated how impressed they were. Hiring Ally was one of the best decisions I made! I cannot recommend her enough.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Ally and her crew were hands down the BEST decision we made! They were exceptional. They made our day run smoothly and setup was top notch. We could not thank Ally enough for all the did to help our vision come to life for our wedding! She helped create our wedding timeline, the layout for the ceremony and reception, and coordinate with vendors leading up to the wedding day. On the wedding, Ally helped decorate the ceremony/venue spaces and it turned out better than I had envisioned. Ally also helped make sure everything was running on schedule, and let us know where we needed to be and when. Ally is a fantastic wedding planner, and we loved getting to know her throughout the wedding planning process. She will help handle the details of the wedding, so you can relax and enjoy your wedding day!

Ally and her team saved my wedding! While growing up my mother did florals for friends and families weddings. We even had my brothers wedding in my mothers backyard years ago and we did it all, start to finish--that being said, we had the same thoughts for my wedding (LOL). I knew that I would essentially be useless but my mom and dad along with family friends thought that we could do my whole wedding without others helping. My mother and I did dried florals for 95% of the wedding and so the rest was just set up. Things obviously got hectic (from what I was told) and if it weren't for Ally and her assistant, my entire reception would not have been set up. She completely took all of my stress away and when I saw everything completed I would have never known "my people" didn't put it together. Now I will say, a few things ended up in the wrong area but that is completely my fault because I never told anyone all of the tiny little details but I take full responsibility for that and I honestly did not care. My wedding was perfect and without Ally I probably would not have made it down that isle! Also, she sent me a few short videos that she got throughout the day and that has been a big help while waiting on the stuff from my videographer and photographer!

Ally and Knot Common is simply the best. She was our planner for our October 2022 wedding at Overlook Barn on Beech Mountain. Ally started helping us with planning in September of 2021 and every step of the way she was there for help with the smallest and the largest of details. I was the first person to get married in my family in the era of large and Pinterest weddings, so Ally was a HUGE help. I could not have done anything without her. As a resident physician, I had no time to do any wedding planning, but Ally kept me on task. She listened to what I wanted, made vision boards from those ideas, and literally brought them to life on my wedding day – and it was so gorgeous I cried. I cannot imagine how many hiccups were encountered on our wedding day but I did not hear of a single one. I was able to enjoy my whole day without knowing of any issues. Ally executed everything flawlessly. She even went above and beyond before my ceremony to help a struggling bride. I was so nervous on the morning of my wedding that I barely ate and did not have caffeine. Just after my first look all of my nerves broke, and I was absolutely starving and felt like I had finally hit a caffeine hole. In comes Ally and her assistant to the rescue who went back the bridesmaid house to get me a protein snack and a sugar free red bull (my favorite) saving the day so I did not have to walk down the aisle feeling anything but my best. I cannot say enough positive things about Ally and her team. If you need a planner, she is the one you want to hire!

If I could give Ally and Knot Common Events more than 5 stars, I would! We last minute found ourselves needing help with planning and coordinating and Ally was able to help! Prior to the wedding, she brought things to my attention that I wouldn’t have thought of without her, making our day SO much more special! She made our rehearsal a breeze and calmed all my nerves for the following day. It was so nice to not have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day such as when vendors were showing up because she had all of that under control (and if something did go wrong, I truly had no idea)! She was there for the entire day and made everything from set up to clean up, and everything in between her priority so we were able to completely focus on our wedding and each other! We even got an entire album of behind the scenes footage the following day which was beautiful! Thank you Ally!!

Ally was a fantastic, and much needed, addition to our wedding day. Her organization and timeliness made the day as special and smooth flowing as we could’ve imagined.

We booked Ally as our wedding planner back in 2021 for our October 2022 wedding and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. I was not looking forward to planning this wedding at all - we've had a super busy couple of years with graduating college, starting our careers, and building a life together and wedding planning quickly ended up on the bottom of my priority list. As soon as we got engaged, my now husband and I started looking for a planner who could really dive in and help us pull everything together. We found Knot Common Events through our venue's preferred vendor list and will be forever grateful we started with Ally so early on. From the very beginning she was wonderful - always so organized, helpful, and kind. She's both personable and professional; her genuine care for us as her clients allowed us to create the event of our dreams as a team. She was readily available throughout the entire planning process if we needed literally anything - suggestions, guidance, a strong voice with a difficult vendor, or even someone to rant to - she handled everything I brought to her with the grace and poise of a seasoned veteran. The wedding day itself was the best part. She and her team managed EVERYTHING. She created detailed timelines for myself, my bridal party, my husband's groomsmen, our vendors, and our venue that allowed our wedding day to run so smoothly. Seriously, if there were ever any issues, I had no idea because I can guarantee you she had already taken care of it all before I even needed to know that something had come up. She set up all of our small items that we brought with us (things like the seating chart, guest book, table numbers, marriage license, etc.) and spent the morning coordinating and facilitating each timeline while helping our vendors set up the venue. Some of my favorite moments that day were the times I was able to walk around and chat with her while my bridesmaids were getting ready and just talk about the day and see everything coming together. The entire event went perfectly and I felt so comfortable and confident in her ability and direction. She was always clear and firm, and I knew if anyone needed to be reeled in for any reason she would handle it all seamlessly. By the end of the night, at least 20 people (no, that's not an exaggeration) had made a point to mention to me how impressed they were with our planner and how much they appreciated her. I can't say enough good about our experience with Ally and Knot Common Events. I would recommend this team to absolutely anyone and know that they will do everything in their power to create a beautiful and meaningful event that exceeds all expectations. Well done Ally and team! We appreciate you more than words can express!

Ally was our day of coordinator and helped make our special day smooth and stress free. She advocated for us and made sure we had everything we needed. She also helped me with my Plan B for when it rained and helped create my dream wedding despite the weather! Dylan and I are very grateful we had her on our side the day of!

Ally and her team were phenomenal to work with. My husband and I planned our wedding from out of state, and having Ally was a HUGE help to us. We had never actually seen our venue in person before our wedding day, so having someone there who was familiar with the area and venue made an incredible difference in getting all of the final details together. On the actual day Ally and her assistant helped us with all of the details big and small. They decorated the reception space, bustled my dress for me, corralled family/ the bridal party for photos, and even had to go boxes of food ready for us at the end of the night. Not to mention keeping us on our timeline throughout the day and handling random issues that popped up. Our day wouldn’t have been nearly as successful without her and we can’t recommend her enough to other couples!

Ally was the best decision I ever made. She was helpful, kind and paid incredible attention to detail. I never knew I could feel so relaxed on my wedding day and I 100% thank Ally for that. Seriously she is the girl you want!!

Knot Common Events is the best of the best! If you are looking for someone that listens, understands, and makes your dream a reality - Ally is your girl! She made sure every detail in our wedding was exactly what we wanted. Leading up to the wedding, she kept me on a great timeline and thought of every detail I never would have. She gave great suggestions when I was debating different options and she was sure all of my person belongings left with me, without me ever having to think about it. If there were any issues the day of, I never knew anything about it. Everything was exactly as I dreamed of, from beginning hair and makeup all the way to send off. I credit all of this to her great planning, managing, and people skills! When I realized I had forgotten an item, I knew she was one call away and she would be sure I had it before the wedding began. She was extremely professional and truly took the stress out of planning and day of coordinating. I had many people, including vendors tell me how wonderful she was to work with and how well she ran the entire day. I could not have imagined having anyone better for our special day! If you are debating on having a wedding planner, do it! You won’t regret it!

Ally was absolutely amazing! She worked with us to help plan our wedding and made everything run so smoothly. Everyone was so surprised at how relaxed and calm I was on our wedding day, and I attribute that to Ally. I had no worries that she would ensure our day ran as smoothly as possible. She had a template ready for us to fill out with specific details she needed, like songs required for different parts of the wedding, seating information, and vendor arrival times--all things I wouldn't have known how to do on my own if it weren't for Ally. When we did our final walk through at our venue, the event coordinator was so impressed with Ally's organization. If you use Knot Common Events for any form of planning, you can be sure she will make your day run perfectly.

Ally is such an amazing human being, we wouldn’t have been able to make our day possible without her. We had to push our wedding back a year due to COVID and Ally stuck by us and kept us updated about any changes. We had some complications since it was pushed back and Ally did a great job staying on top of things and making sure everything was going to go just how I wanted it.
