Karisa was the PERFECT choice to capture the most important days of our lives. She was so easy to work with and the pictures turned out so beautifully that we hired her to do our engagement shoot, my grad school graduation photos, and of course our wedding. From the moment we reached out we had a good feeling about her. Her communication is prompt, helpful, kind, and thoughtful. Even just as a prospective client at the time, I could tell she really cares. I'm a very detail-oriented person so I had lots of questions throughout the process and Karisa had an answer to everything and no detail was too small for her! She's very professional, as well, always on time and ready to go, thinking of every possible issue ahead of time. During our shoots she made my husband and I feel so comfortable. Her direction is easy to follow and makes for the most wonderful photos! And when we had ideas for shots that we wanted, she was all for it. She gets you sneak peeks back quickly so you can check out a handful of great shots right away and a full gallery back within a very reasonable time period. I have gotten so many compliments on the photos from all three of our shoots - and I always say in response that my photographer is MAGIC because she truly is. I could never have imagined how incredible and perfect our photos could be, and we have them forever now thanks to Karisa. Not only is she exceptionally talented, hardworking, professional, kind, and easy to work with, she is also the most thoughtful and generous vendor I have ever worked with. In addition to sending us a card to congratulate us on getting married, she also gave us a small memento to celebrate our first holiday season as a married couple. So sweet! All this to say that in Karisa I have found my photographer for life. She has consistently shown me that she is the best of the best as a photographer and a human. I highly recommend her!

Karisa did our engagement photos in Washington DC. She was great at posing us in a variety of ways and went above and beyond to make sure we got our vision of pictures around the monuments. The picture quality and editing was phenomenal and we received our gallery quickly. Highly recommend!

Karisa was truly amazing - from the beginning through the end. She was always very responsive, and was professional but also so much fun. She was the perfect mix of keeping us on schedule during our wedding day but also having candid moments without being stressed. She delivered our pictures on time and they were so good we love them! We really didn’t want over edited pictures so that’s why we chose Karisa and she delivered crisp, natural pictures which is what we wanted! Would highly recommend!!

We hired Love, Lomax as our wedding photographer which included an engagement shoot, and were BLOWN AWAY with her work! From the start Karisa was very easy to work with and is an incredibly kind, caring person. A photographer captures really intimate moments, and my husband and I felt so comfortable with her. She did a great job coaching us through the poses and went to a variety of locations to make sure we got all the shots. Specifically for the wedding, she was incredibly organized by sending us a wedding questionnaire and creating a very detailed timeline, making sure she knew all the important photos we wanted to get. On my wedding day, she felt like one of my friends and was hyping my husband and I up all day. She was super respectful of our time and made sure we got photos efficiently so we could enjoy as much time with our family and friends. Regarding her work, she is an AMAZING photographer. We got so many compliments on our engagement and wedding photos, many people saying they look like they could have been in a magazine. All of my friends and family that interacted with Karisa on our wedding day spoke so highly of her and said we made the right decision hiring her. I cannot recommend Love, Lomax enough!!

Working with Karisa was truly one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. Karisa made me feel beautiful and comfortable and captured so much more than what I asked. Karisa is caring and takes the time to get to know YOU! She has become of my best friends in DC and will help discuss colors, themes, shoot ideas, family shots, timelines, etc. I highly and sincerely recommend Karisa to all brides, especially camera-shy girlies that need help letting loose. Karisa was very easy to work with. Friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I feel like I didn't notice her at all throughout the night (she didn't ever get in anyone's way), but we had so many great picture capturing all the events. I love how the pictures turned out and would highly recommend her as a wedding photographer. Also we got sneak peak pictures back within 3 days and got the whole album of pictures back within a month.

I highly recommend Karisa!! We were so nervous going in to our engagement session because we had never taken professional photos and both considered ourselves to be unphotogenic. Karisa arrived early, was well prepared, and offered additional awesome suggestions for photo locations on top of what we had already discussed. She prepared us so well and made us feel so comfortable. She is so sweet and made the whole experience so FUN! She captured our love so well and we absolutely love our photos. She gave us a sneak peak of 8 photos the next day and our full gallery was available in less than three weeks with so many pictures! Her pricing was very fair and you get a lot of "bang for your buck"!

I highly recommend Karisa Denae Photography for folks in the VA/DC area! Karisa was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process for our engagement photos. She helped us select a location that would fit our vision and guided us through lots of different poses with patience. The photos came out even better than we imagined AND we had a lot of fun!

Karisa was wonderful from the moment I inquired about photography, she responded quickly and communicated throughout the entire process. She sent a helpful questionnaire to keep organized while getting the shots we wanted and was very helpful with creating a wedding timeline so that things went smooth. Karisa was great at keeping us on track, giving us direction but also not making us feel rushed. We got our "sneak peak" photos very fast and all of our photos in the time she told us. The photography was absolutely gorgeous, she captured so many beautiful memories!

Karisa photographed our engagement and we couldn't have imagined any one better to do our actual ceremony. Karisa was organized and communicated from time we booked her, to the day we received our full wedding gallery. She is very easy to work with, she makes everyone comfortable, and keeps everyone interested in pictures. She was there from the beginning of our day to the very end. She made sure she captured every detail we requested, even details we added on at the very end. All of our pictures came back absolutely perfect. We hope to work with Karisa again in the future for all of our life updates as the years go by!
