The 1530 Events

My fiance and I are touring venues for our fall 2026 wedding. I came across 1530 and was excited as the pictures of the venue look so beautiful! They seemed a bit more affordable and also had all great reviews so we were looking forward to touring. Unfortunately, our experience left us disappointed and confused specially with how many awesome reviews that they have. -We first were messaging on The Knot app. On 3/20, I confirmed a date/time to tour but then the communication dropped. I called them 3/24 to see if my appointment was scheduled and didn’t receive an answer. I then messaged them on 3/27 saying I still haven’t received any communication. They called me 3/27, confirming I wasn’t scheduled but they would have the Events Manager call me. The Events Manager then called me 3/28 with her direct line confirming the appointment actually was scheduled and to call that line to reach her directly with any questions. -My finance ended up being ill and we called to cancel (and would reschedule) first thing in morning of the tour. I called the Events Manager directly and left VM, texted her, and also emailed to ensure they received. I received confirmation from her the next day. -Monday, April 14th, I texted the Events Manager asking to reschedule to the next available week and didn’t receive a response. I then called her Wednesday, April 16 and left a voicemail and still didn’t receive any kind of response. I then called the business line on Tuesday, 4/18 and they gave the phone to the Events Manager. We scheduled for Friday, 4/25. I did inquire about the communication with how I reach out but I haven’t really been getting responses and I was told to use the websites messaging system as she answers that promptly. I was a little confused as that’s what was mentioned for her direct line but nonetheless I would use it. At the end of our call, she then confused the appointment for Wednesday, April 30th instead of what we just talked about for April 25th. At this point I politely told her I was getting a little nervous. -Friday, April 25th, day of tour: I called her at 4pm letting her know we had arrived. She told me she just got done with an event and that she forgot about our appointment. She then mentioned she was only 7 mins away if we were willing to wait. We waited until 4:25 and she still was not there with no communication letting us know what was going on. We decided to leave. She calls us at 4:35 (35 mins after the appointment was supposed to start) asking if we left. I told her with all the incidents leading up to this final one, it’s not a good start and we don’t feel comfortable. Unfortunately, with the non-communication and disorganization we personally experienced, we didn’t want to risk the continuing for planning the wedding with them 😕.
