The beautiful building was designed by Hearst Castle architect Julia Morgan and its design and ambiance are sure to make your event a memorable one. From its flagstone fireplace and hardwood detailing to the beautiful gardens and gazebo, the Monday Club is an ideal location for any event.
Rental of our venue includes use of the great room, stage, sunroom, foyer, large commercial kitchen, covered patio, front and back gardens, gazebo, private free parking lot and our inventory of tables and chairs for the indoor portion of your special event and chairs for the outdoor portion.

This was such a perfect venue for our wedding! The outside area was lovely for our ceremony, and the inside worked great for our reception. It had everything we needed and the people who helped us reserve the venue were very nice and helpful. They also set up chairs for us both inside and outside. We loved having our wedding at The Monday Club!
The Monday Club was an incredible venue for our wedding. From the moment we contacted them, their representative (Taffy) was extremely kind and helpful. The terms of the contract for renting the venue are fair and very reasonably priced. There is a full kitchen for caterers to use, a beautiful area for an outdoor ceremony, and an absolutely gorgeous hall for the reception. The venue very comfortably fit our 90 attendees at rounds, while keeping my husband and I on the main floor (as opposed to being up on the stage) which worked wonderfully. The venue provides ceremony chairs and reception chairs and tables, which was a huge benefit because we were able to save money on rentals by not renting those things, but also because we were able to pickup/transport our own rentals without needing to have them delivered (since we just rented dishes, silverware, and glasses). We had our wedding in the evening in March, so we used their fireplace which was a beautiful addition to the ambiance. Everything was amazing, and Taffy was a great help to us by providing advice, reception and ceremony layouts, and guiding us along the planning process. I would highly recommend this venue to any couple wanting to get married in SLO. It's a beautiful area and building, and it has incredible historical importance to San Luis Obispo County which makes it extra special. Thank you for everything, Taffy!
The venue was beautiful and everything was taken care of perfectly. The staff was very informative and helpful as well as quick to respond during any planning. They assured us of contingency plans if the weather turned out poorly on the day of and checked in with updates throughout the booking process. We especially appreciated their flexibility with layout and guest count as we grew closer to the wedding. Gorgeous venue for an amazing price!
This venue is such a beautiful little paradise. A thoughtfully preserved Julia Morgan-designed building, with all of its authentic and classic charm. Vaulted ceilings, original hardwood floors, and great design. We thought it was already beautiful when we first visited, but after a major re-landscaping project, it became even more picturesque. You wouldn’t know it from the street of hotels that surround it (which is a great feature for out of towners). For anyone wanting a garden wedding ceremony and reception all in one place, this is the perfect venue. For everything from ceremony, cocktail hour, and grand entrance, to the organization of the dinner, this place was able to accommodate our wedding of 120 people perfectly. Having family in both northern and southern California, SLO was the perfect town for our wedding, however it is an expensive town to have a wedding. So we were thrilled to discover the Monday Club was not only gorgeous, but also within our budget. Mary and Jessica were so helpful and communicative throughout the whole planning process—showing us the property, answering our questions, and accommodating our various needs and requests. We couldn’t have imagined a more magical wedding than the one we had at the Monday Club.
I planned my daughters wedding and chose the Monday Club for the venue. We did a walk thru such a historic and beautiful place. The staff is wonderful and helped up with all of our questions. The day went perfect.
Our wedding was perfect and the ladies at The Monday Club's property management agency were so helpful the evening of the wedding. It is a beautiful historic setting and I highly recommend it.
Can't recommend this place enough! Beautiful setting for both indoor and outdoor use. Close to a number of hotels and downtown SLO. Mary and Jill were super responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. We live far away from the venue but communicating via email was a breeze. Even the security guard they hired day of was a big help with the day!
It's a beautiful space for a very reasonable price. Under new management and setup and take down was done for us. Our deposit was returned minus $140 for cleaning. The ballroom is beautiful and didn't need much decoration.
I had my wedding 2 weeks ago at the Monday Club. It is run by a local property management company, California West. I've heard some people complain about the property management co being hard to deal with, but I didn't have that experience. Everything went just fine. It's true that they don't offer coordination like a lot of venues, or any help at all. They do provide the security guard, so you don't have to worry about hiring one yourself, but the cost is of course added on to your bill. If you are looking for a venue coordinator, and help with set up, etc, the monday club may not be the best place for you. Our wedding was mostly DIY, so it worked out very well. One obvious reason we went with the Monday club is that it's very affordable, but honestly, when I first saw it I fell in love with it. Our wedding was very vintage themed, and the decor of the Monday club fit that perfectly. The main room is so lovely, it hardly needs any decoration.
We got our deposit back in a timely manner. I definitely recommend the Monday Club, It was a beautiful place to have our wedding, and we were really happy with it.
this place was great for us because included were tables, chairs, bathroom, parking, industrial size kitchen, dinning set, coffee makers, and much more. the property managers were friendly and helpful. it was a great place for our small wedding and reception.
IT was a historic building that was built in the 30's that went a long with my vintage theme. It has original wall paintings hardwood floors and a full garden area in the back. We had freedom to do just about whatever we wanted. We paid and picked up the keys exception of the rented guards required. But there was no bottle fees or limits on the type of food or music you could have They have all the chairs and tables and a full state of the art chef kitchen so you caterer can cook there.;IT was great. The only reminders I would say is book ahead make sure your can purchase insurance for that day and look at the chairs and tables to make sure you can cover them because they are old and beat up. Also the bathrooms are small and vintage so you may want to think about additional bathrooms through like honey huts.
