Joe Russell Sound Lab was awesome to work with for our wedding!! They are personable, professional, and really streamline the process to make the evening worry-free for their clients!! Joe himself was available to answer any questions we had and he was happy to bring all of our ideas to life that evening. It was an amazing evening and Joe Russell Sound Lab made sure everything went according to plan!! Book this vendor, you won't regret it!!

Went with Russell for our wedding and out of all the people we hired he was one of the best! I was so happy with the attention to detail and the organization he had. He has a knack for this and really took the time to help our vision for our wedding come to life. I cannot recommend him more. I will be telling all my family and friends who get married in the future to go through him!

My husband and I got married on 2/18/23. Let me tell you. I still have people messaging me about how awesome the music was.. How so much of the music were versions of newer songs they’ve never heard done that way before. How breathtaking the first dance with the fog was. How beautiful his booth was. The crystal clear sound. The list goes on!!! He is one of the best DJs there is and we were so happy to have him a part of our big day. Highly recommend. Everything is totally worth it. He timed me walking down the aisle to Metallica perfectly, the first kiss. Everything was perfect and right on point. Everyone enjoyed dancing all night including the kids who stole the show with their awesome requests that I let them do! And before I forget. The photo booth…. WAS A HIT! Everyone enjoyed it and we have a huge book of photo strips to prove it! Again, highly recommend. Book him! You won’t regret it. I’ll post photos up once I get them back from photographer. I specifically requested multiple pictures of the booth and everything because of how beautiful it was!

Our wedding was a party and our guests had a blast because of Joe! He is very professional and joyful and confident with running the reception. We were very happy with our day!

Joe was great to work with and so accommodating! We had some specifics that we wanted played for prelude, ceremony, and reception and his DJs did an awesome job of honoring our wishes and music tastes! Everyone was dancing all night and they kept the party going! Beautiful uplighting as well!

Joe Russell was amazing! He was professional, helpful, & organized. I came to his meeting unprepared and unsure of certain songs and how the timeline was going to go. He helped with the timeline and gave great suggestions for songs. He has a great voice and keeps the party going! All of our guests had a blast and everyone knows the music is one of the most important parts of the wedding. Joe Russell’s employees were also great! Joe was very accommodating especially during a pandemic. Our Matron of Honor and Best Man couldn't attend due to COVID and Joe was able to play their recorded speeches during our reception. We met before hand to walk through the songs wanted for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. I highly recommend the uplighting as well. It adds a wonderful touch to any venue.

Darren was such an incredible DJ! We gave him a list of songs and he crafted the perfect playlist. There was ALWAYS a crowd on the dance floor. We could not be happier!

Russell Sound Lab was the DJ service we chose for our wedding this past June, and they did such an amazing job! Joe did a great job of all of the prep work before hand and provided us with a lot of valuable guidance as far as the timeline, the song list, and the lighting for our reception. He spent a lot of time with us planning the details of our day and how the night was going to go. Some thing I loved particularly about Russell Sound Lab is that they are very upfront with their pricing and packages. We also had them do up lighting for our reception and it looked amazing. It completely set the mood for the night and changed the tone of our reception in the most wonderful way. Bruce was our DJ in charge of the music for the night and he did a fantastic job. He was a great MC with an awesome personality, was very accommodating to requests (we specified that we wanted to take requests), and modified the music anytime I asked. Our dance floor was packed all the way up until midnight and we had a wedding reception for the books. You can’t go wrong with this company!

Russell Sound Lab Inc is the best in the business! Joe Russell has now DJed my wedding and my sister's wedding and he continues to deliver. We had a backyard wedding and Joe and his Son went above and beyond in delivering an outstanding party. Joe worked around many difficult challenges involving getting the equipment brought back to the yard, a challenging set up environment and dealing with the weather. During the entire process, Joe listened to our wants/needs and clearly took detailed notes because everything we requested from lighting to song choices were fulfilled 100%. His wedding planning documents were perfect for keeping up aligned and Joe was available at a moment's notice to make edits/changes. Joe and his Son got there early, made sure everything worked and every roadblock that was presented itself was expertly dealt with and succeeded. Joe has a great stage presence and knows how to read the room. Our wedding was thrown off schedule a bit during the dinner but with constant communication with Joe and our planner, it all appeared seamless. We utilized the uplighting and cold spark shower that Joe offers and I would highly recommend adding them to your wedding. We cannot thank Joe enough for providing the wedding reception of our dreams. Even our music snob friends loved the playlist! Joe and his Son are some of the hardest working people in the industry and booking Russell Sound Lab is a must for your next event!

We hired Joe and his team for our 05/23/2021 wedding. Joe was organized and easy to work with. We loved that he provided old school service that included meeting in person initially and for our final run through and provided paper copies. But don’t worry if you prefer online I believe he accommodates that as well. Unfortunately we lost our mic/audio during our ceremony but all of our music played beautifully and despite having a smaller wedding of only 54 people the DJ kept everyone dancing till the end of the night. Additionally we almost didn’t go with the recommended uplighting and are very happy that Joe encouraged it, it was a nice touch and added to our decor perfectly. If I could give this company more than 5 stars I would!!! Making the decision to use Russell Sound Labs was easily the best vendor decision we’ve made! My husband and I cannot recommend them enough! Truly they were amazing, went above and beyond to make sure everything was organized and done specifically how we needed it! Consulting with Joe Russell about the wedding and reception was the most fun I’ve ever had, while planning our wedding. He was organized, professional and a fantastic communicator, all while having fun and cracking jokes! For our wedding the DJ was Mike, and Darren did our photo booth! Everything turned out beautifully, my husband and I couldn’t be happier. I swear to you, they all go above and beyond for their clients! Truly an amazing company 10/10 hands down best DJ you’ll ever find!

Using Russell Sound Lab for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made and I could not be happier with the service we received. Joe is all around a wonderful guy. I had so many issues with my wedding venue and other wedding vendors I used and it was a relief to work with Joe who was so confident and dependable. He was knowledgable about our venue and how it operated which allowed him to make valuable suggestions on other vendors we could use and how to make the space look it's best. He took into account our personal suggestions and song requests while also playing a good range of music for everyone. My husband and I were very impressed by some of the extra touches they added, including a personalized CD at the end of the night with all of our wedding songs. Russell Sound Labs was incredible! Could not say enough great things about them. Joe and his crew had everything well organized, played all of the songs we requested in advance, took requests from our guests during the reception itself, and did an excellent job of playing music to reach all types of guests. A DJ is one of the most important parts of your wedding night and my wife and I would recommend Russell Sound Labs over and over again!!!

I just wanted to give a huge thank you to Russell Sound Lab. They made our wedding day truly amazing. We met with Joe Russell a couple times before the wedding to ensure the day would go smoothly and it for sure did ! They let me submit a list of songs that I wanted to be included throughout the night but also used their own and let me tell you..... they did not disappoint. We had people of all ages at our wedding and there was not a single person sitting in their seats! Everyone was on the dance floor and enjoying themselves so much that we paid for them to stay an extra hour !! They were on top of making sure that we kept everything on time. They were super helpful with suggestions and advice ! I was so nervous and they put my mind at ease! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them for any event, especially a wedding ! The dj was a very important part to our day and they exceeded our expectations. Very professional, easy to work with and they got the crowd going!!

Joe Russell and his crew did a fabulous job at my wedding! They had beautiful up-lighting filling the room and for our first dance they had a machine with dry ice that made it look as if we were dancing in the clouds. I couldn’t have been more pleased with how professional and kind they all were! There was never a dull moment on the dance floor with their amazing music selection and everything ran smoothly. They helped to create a truly magical experience!

No regrets whatsoever! Joe is so easy to work with and handled all of my last minute changes with ease and answered all of my questions. Our DJ ended up being Mike and he was great too! He kept us in the loop all night, made sure we stayed on track time wise, and played pretty much every song we requested while also playing songs our guests requested. Everything went smoothly and I was so happy with how the night went! We also had him play our ceremony music which was also perfect. The DJ provided by Russell Sound Lab was awesome! He was able to keep people dancing out on the dance floor and kept the reception lively the entire night!

Good night. We had a non traditional wedding so DJ utilized primarily for music and not much announcing. Most music requested was played and Russell worked with photographer as well. Night was fun! We liked the lighting especially! We wish they could’ve played one last song to end the night.

Awesome Djs! Before the wedding, we went through the list of any songs that we wanted, as well as any song that we did not want to hear! RSL played the actual song for us ahead of time to make sure we had the right versions. They also offered a very detailed/organized layout of the reception. At the reception, RSL kept the party going and interacted so well with our family and friends. I would highly recommend!

Joe was great to work with and very helpful with song selections. Steve, our DJ, did a fantastic job! He was kind, cooperative, and very flexible. He even had to move his equipment when rain caused the wedding to be moved inside. He did it with a smile on his face!!! I would highly recommend Russell Sound Lab!

Since he also provided our ceremony music, these details and timing were very important and I was amazed at how it all came together so well. He is the best of the best in my book and should the need ever arise - I would hire him again!

We had Mike and Darren for our wedding on October 20th. They were a dream to work with. Everything went so smoothly, even when we had to change our ceremony from outside to indoors at the last minute. We had the uplighting, photo booth (which I highly recommend getting), & monogram also added to our package. It set the mood for the entire night. Mike kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night and kept everything on track. Even when my bridesmaids insisted they sing towards the end. Lol Everyone had an amazing time and so many compliments towards the both of them. They were both so professional. I am so happy with our decision, and whoever is looking for a DJ for their next event, Russell Sound Lab is the place to go. Thank you for making our wedding a day we will never forget !

Thank you for making our reception the best party we have ever been to! We had so many compliments afterward about how great the venue looked and how much fun the reception was. Many people said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I was on the fence about the uplighting, but I’m so glad we did it - the Onesto looked even more beautiful! Joe took the time to meet with me and go over my very detailed playlist, and even took time to download more obscure songs I wanted. Joe worked well with all of our vendors too, making the day go seemlessly. The video recordings of our ceremony and reception were so wonderful, and Joe got them to us within days (Thanksgiving week!) because he knew we lived out of state. A fantastic choice for a DJ! I absolutely loved everything about working with Joe and Russell Sound Lab! Our night was more than we could have dreamed of. The flow of the evening was run so smoothly and the uplighting and photo booth were so fun! We still had a full dance floor when the night was supposed to end and they stayed and kept the party going for another hour for us! We had Russell Sound Lab DJ our wedding this past June and it was perfect! Everything went perfect with the agenda, we had a to push a few things back a little bit, and they were more than accomodating. The music was perfect. They played everything we wanted and we were all dancing the entire time. I would highly reccomend them for any event and I know I will use them in the future!

Joe Russell has an amazing business set up with his DJ company. We were drawn to him for the price and his multitude of equipment and DJ backups for day of emergencies. We quickly learned that he was eager to please and willing to completely customize everything to our needs as well! A few weeks before the wedding we met and planned out all of the music to be played using his planner. It was very helpful and he was willing to download any music we requested to ensure we had the perfect soundtrack for our big day! Our DJ for the day was wonderful, playing everything that my husband and I had planned along with requests from the guests. They definitely kept the party going until last call!

We just used Russell Sound Lab for our wedding 7/21/18 and they were great! DJ Joe was helpful during the planning process and helped us make decisions when we were having trouble figuring out songs we wanted to use. When I wanted a specific version, he got it! The ceremony and reception music went off perfectly and my husband and I were really happy with everything. They also offer videography service for a great rate for what we wanted. Also I ended up making changes after our first meeting and DJ Joe made them without any issues. Really easy to work with. Would recommend them to anyone!!

Joe was everything we could have hoped for for our wedding reception. Before, during, and after. His uplighting saved us a ton of money on regular bland decorations that would have to be put up and taken down after it all. Thank you for making ours a night to remember. Wow, I could not be more happy with the service I received from Russell Sound Lab! I am seriously so happy I went with this DJ. His prices were very reasonable, everyone was so pleasant to work with, and the night went smoother than it ever could have thanks to them! I also chose to do the uplighting and it was so well worth, the also very reasonable price. You truly don't realize how beautiful a venue can look until you get those. I also chose to get the videography package as well and was very pleased that I did end up getting that. They were so organized, professional, and kind. I can't tell enough people about them! My husband and I were very pleased with the service we received from Russell Sound lab at our wedding a couple months ago. What made this DJ group stand apart from other DJ's that we had met with was the fact that Russell Sound Lab was very flexible and completely fine with playing exclusively from our own playlist. Other DJ's were not as flexible and they didn't want to be tied down to a set list of songs. We met with Joe Russell and he was very kind and easy to work with. He was professional and very well organized. He supplied us with a wedding planner to organize all our reception events and songs and he helped create a smooth flowing reception timeline as well. On top of that, he sent the final planner and timeline out to all of our other vendors (photographer, videographer, etc) so that we were all on the same page! It was a great time saver and very helpful. I would highly recommend this DJ company!
