We stayed at the Desmond for the weekend of our wedding in June 2024, and also included them as a room block for our guests. The Desmond is a great hotel for your wedding weekend if you are having your wedding in the surrounding area. It is close to multiple shopping centers, restaurants, and other activities for your guests. It also has a great lobby, bar, and terrace setup for welcome drinks, after parties, and wedding brunches. The staff and management was great about communicating throughout the entire process and many of our guests complimented the property. We would recommend the Desmond for your wedding weekend.

I cannot recommend the Desmond and the spectrular team there enough. They made all my wedding dreams come true. Between location, the grounds, room accommodations, general pricing and special additions made by the Desmond. I would recommend this venue to any new bride.

The Desmond made our wedding day absolutely amazing and stress-free! Everything came together perfectly! The food was delicious and our guests had more than enough to eat all evening. The bartenders were wonderful, and the banquet manager Andy was a pleasure to work with. We worked with Kevin leading up to the wedding and it was the best experience. He went above and beyond and really made our vision a reality. We had such a large wedding but Kevin reassured us that it would fit and it did! We knew they would handle all the details on wedding day, and they led us seamlessly through our event with care and joy! We never had to worry for a moment, and we were able to enjoy everything! Multiple things went wrong with other vendors but Kevin and Andy showed up and I didn't even notice! They worked great with our vendors and handled cake delivery/floral delivery/band details/etc. with ease. Many of our guests remarked that this was the best wedding they had ever been too. We can’t recommend the Desmond enough!

HIGHLY recommend!!! The Desmond in Malvern and its staff were outstanding!!! We had the most magical wedding for our daughter!! Karen Eubanks, our Catering Sales Manager, was top notch!! Communication was superb, immediate, and always friendly! We live out of state and their wedding package was so inclusive that it made for ease of planning an intricate wedding! The terrace room and ballroom were gorgeous!! Guests were blown away! The food and presentation was spectacular!!! We really just walked away from the entire experience, completely satisfied and saying money well spent!!

Everything about the Desmond was delightful from the moment we booked the venue. The atmosphere and the food were fabulous! Kevin and Andy were with us the whole time making sure everything ran smoothly. Everyone involved from the Desmond was accommodating! Petals Florist provided the most gorgeous centerpieces! I highly recommend this venue!

The Desmond delivered the most amazing Wedding! The rehearsal dinner at Fork and Bottle was absolutely beautiful. The food, service and attention to every little detail was fantastic. The wedding reception in the Ballroom was just magical. The cocktail hour was beyond our expectations. The dinner was delicious and the service was exceptional. Kevin and staff were present and visible at all times. When the wedding was over, the guests remained and didn’t want to leave. The Desmond was very accommodating to guests with food allergies. Their knowledge and protocols ensured those individuals could eat safely. Outstanding wedding venue!

The desmond was beyond expectations for our wedding! They made everything smooth and stress free. Kevin was amazing, from the tasting to coordinating, decor, and all the small details. Andy was our coordinator the day of our wedding and he was great! The day was perfect, the venue is beautiful and our guests are still talking about how good the food was.

He was helpful, responsive, and accommodating; Kevin made our wedding planning experience positive and enjoyable, from beginning to end. In the hectic days leading up to the wedding, and the day of, the entire staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. We would highly recommend choosing the Desmond to host any event, big or small. You will not be disappointed!

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with the Desmond. It was the first venue we looked at, and after looking at a few others we quickly realized nothing compared to the people, venue, package, cost and experience of working with the Desmond. Our sales coordinator Kevin ensured every detail of our wedding was exactly what we wanted. He was there to answer all of our questions and make helpful suggestions along the way. Our cocktail hour and reception went so smoothly. As a bride and groom, it was such a relief to not have to worry about anything - our night of coordinator (also named Kevin) was always there to make sure everything went as planned and that we and all of our guests were happy. The entire team at the Desmond went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable night for everyone, and not only were they great at their job, but they were all so nice. After the tasting, we struggled to choose the menu only because every single thing we tried was delicious. Our guests are still raving about the food. They also appreciated the convenience of having a reliable and clean hotel right on site. We could not be happier with our entire experience at the Desmond. If you want a stress-free reception, amazing food, beautiful location, and an experienced and professional staff, definitely book the Desmond!

Kevin and Andy went above and beyond for our client's wedding. When I say that they left no detail out, it's an understatement. They truly care about their couples and go out of their way to make sure that they feel as if they are the only couple getting married even if it's their fourth wedding of the weekend. Additionally, they were amazing to all of the vendors, and I cannot say enough good things about the whole experience. These guys have it down.

The staff was professional and the rooms were clean and spacious. They made the accommodations for our guests during our wedding weekend great! The bar onsite was a huge bonus.

We didn't have our reception at the Desmond due to our smaller wedding size but we did use this for guest rooms, our wedding after party and next day brunch. Everything was fantastic! Reasonable priced rooms, easy to book, bar open late for after party, plenty of space with cool outdoor area (and good food if you go for their late night snacks), delicious buffet brunch and great service all around. I would highly recommend using the Desmond for any of your wedding needs.

I can't recommend The Desmond Hotel enough for your wedding needs! Recently married last week, it was a pleasure working with Karen and her team from the start. All of our many questions and requests were handled professionally and they truly did everything to make the process as easy as possible, whole providing constant reassurance along the way that our day would be beautiful. And it was! Beautiful is an understatement! I was completely in awe of how gorgeous the venue looked, they handled all our of decor and items provided with care, even shifting decors from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception in ways that truly brought tears to my eyes. It was more than we could've ever dreamed of! Karen was there the day of the ceremony, from directing the ceremony, prepping me to walk down the aisle, and being there for the bustling of my gown! She brought a calming presence that any bride will appreciate! Our guests RAVED about all of the food, how delicious everything was -- especially the Dim Sum station at cocktail hour! The staff was extremely attentive to my husband and I, we truly were never empty handed or bellies not full. They really made us feel like stars, especially our personal point person at the reception Andy. Lastly, we had a lot of out of towners who couldn't get over how convenient it was having the hotel right there, and that they didn't want to leave as the beds were so comfy! You will not regret having your event at the Desmond -- I would do our wedding day 10x exactly the way it is. The Desmond team made it an experience we will never forget or want to change!

I never stay in hotels in my area and this was the first time I had to. My daughter’s wedding was close by and the Desmond was recommended. What a great place! Loved the warm cookies at check in! The rooms were very nice and clean. We had the Bridal Brunch here for our out of town guests and it was really great! I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was very good! I highly recommend this hotel. I really felt better here after a very stressful weekend wedding. Very nice place.

We just had our wedding here this past weekend and I don’t even have the right words to describe how perfect everything was. It was truly a one-stop shop for everything. From the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday, to the big day including the wonderful bridal suite for me and my girls, and finally that BRUNCH on Sunday – I couldn’t have asked for more. The staff are so attentive and accommodating. They allowed my entire bridal party to check in early on Saturday morning, answered any last minute questions or requests I had, and were just so friendly to all my guests. The entire planning process with Karen was a breeze, too. I really enjoyed working with her and she made it so easy. She even saved the day and helped when we couldn’t figure out my dress bustle. All my guests raved about the food (which was very important to me) and couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful everything went. I couldn’t be happier with how my special day turned out. I’m so thankful for all the staff at The Desmond for how wonderful they were all weekend, it truly made a difference!

We had a fabulous experience working with the team at the Desmond. The venue looked stunning, the food was absolutely delicious and the team was so wonderful and easy to work with. We had an incredible, memorable wedding evening that we will remember for a long, long time.

We had the night of our lives having our wedding at The Desmond! Pure love and fun! I wish I could press “replay”! The preparation and execution bringing all the pieces for our special day together were flawless, all because of the care, experience, and professionalism from everyone atThe Desmond!

So grateful to Meredith, Cynthia, and the entire Desmond team! They were incredible, professional, and really made the wedding day easier. The hotel is gorgeous and the restaurants are great. Highly recommend booking one of their event rooms for hair and make up teams! Our glam teamed super appreciated the big windows and natural light!

We got married at a local parish church and The Desmond provided the perfect place for us to host our wedding reception. We initially worked with Kevin who helped get us set up and then we continued our planning process with Cynthia. Both people were quick with their responses and made it so easy to have any and all of our questions answered. As the reception got closer we met with Cynthia to go over all our details, confirm timing and preferences, as well as ensure that we had all we needed for a smooth evening. Cynthia also helped set up our food tasting and the food does not disappoint! Each option was so good that it made it difficult to pick. Another great aspect of the food tasting was that the head server, Carol, who served us at that time was also our lead server at our wedding. Having her familiar face at the reception was such a great touch! The Desmond truly thinks of all of the details to make both the bride, the groom, and families feel welcomed and cared for. The week of the wedding we met with Cynthia again to do a walk-through and she confirmed all our items were present and she was again confirming where we wanted things to go on tables outside the reception. The day of the wedding, Cynthia and the hotel manager came and checked to make sure we had what we needed. The staff set up every detail which truly allowed us to be present and not worry about a single thing on our wedding day. When we arrived late to our cocktail hour from our photo shoot, the staff brought us into the ballroom to give everything a look while my wife’s dress was bustled. We were starving and the staff brought us a sampler of all the appetizers so we wouldn’t be mobbed while trying to grab food. They then brought us more of the ones we wanted more of. Not only that, the staff also brought appetizers up to our room in case we didn’t get to try everything (and in case we were still hungry after the reception). The staff made sure we were taken care of the entire night of the wedding, including bringing drinks right to our table. We not only had our reception here but we also hosted an after party with late night snacks, a Mass in one of the meeting rooms on Sunday morning followed by a farewell breakfast right across the hall. To our surprise, Carol was with us again in the morning for our breakfast! Almost all of our guests also stayed at the hotel and commented how nice it was to have everything following the ceremony in one location. The whole weekend could not have gone any better, and The Desmond is a big reason why.

Choosing this venue was one of the best wedding decisions I made. At every step the staff was kind, professional and accommodating. We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and the Desmond were wonderful about working with us to find a new date. Every detail was taken care of and the food was amazing. There were actually multiple weddings the same weekend as ours but I would never have known because they made us feel like the most important people in the world.

We hired the Desmond Hotel to host our Rehearsal dinner, Ceremony, and Reception. Why all 3? Because they are excellent to work with, have reasonable fees, delicious food, and absolutely gorgeous spaces for each. And, in winter, we did not want our guests to have to travel. During COVID no less, and the Desmond was very accommodating and safe. We worked with Kevin Kessler and his team, can't say enough about how competent and fun they are to work with. We had a private dining room for the rehearsal dinner, and had a blast. The ceremony was in their atrium/conservatory, all glass enclosed, as the sun set, just beautiful. All pictures completed before the party, so once the ceremony ended we walked 20 feet to the cocktail hour, then another 20 feet into the ballroom/reception area. All close, all warm, all wonderfully spread out to alleviate COVID. And the food is to die for! Definitely get the DIM SUM/Sushi station, and the warm cookies with bread pudding and hot chocolate cart at the end. Amazing. Prices were very reasonable too. What a memory!

I do not have enough good things to say about our experience in working with The Desmond. The communication and professionalism of all the staff involved was so amazing. Everyone worked to make our day seamless and beautiful and we were so grateful. The food was our big selling point on the venue and it did not disappoint! But the experience overall could not be beat. If anything went wrong on our day we will never know. Thank you to all the staff but especially Karen, Andy, and Carol for making sure our day was just as fun and beautiful as we had hoped it would be!

We had our postponed wedding ceremony and celebration at The Desmond in October and we were absolutely overjoyed with our experience!! We had been working with the staff at The Desmond and planning our wedding there for over 2 years. We could not be more thankful at how knowledegable, flexible, supportive, patient, and helpful Karen, our planner, was in guiding us through the process. After waiting so long to celebrate our marriage with friends and family, The Desmond did not disappoint! They took care of every last detail and went above and beyond for us! Karen and her team set up our ceremony decor, our gifts table, they coordinated separate preparation rooms for both bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen, they provided a private cocktail hour option for bridal party, and at the end of the night they collected belongings from the wedding (i.e. grooms tux jacket, brides shoes, cake topper, cards/gifts, all the florals, etc) and had everything waiting for us at checkout the next morning. We also elected to have a Sunday farewell brunch which was perfect as well. The space is wonderful, the staff are so friendly and truly committed to their couples, and we had the wedding of our dreams. A HUGE thank you to them!! We give our highest recommendation!

We chose The Desmond Malvern for our wedding weekend room block and could not have been more happy that we did. Meredith went above and beyond to help accommodate us and was so incredibly kind and patient - especially with answering all of my questions. Like many couples, we had to postpone our wedding from last year and it was as seamless as could be transferring everything right over to this year. There were no issues with anyone's reservations and the rooms were so clean and spacious. We also held our rehearsal dinner at The Conservatory which Cynthia helped coordinate. Not only was the room GORGEOUS, but the food was outstanding and the service was beyond compare. Andy and his team really were spectacular - friendly, so attentive, and genuinely took the time to talk with us and our guests. Cynthia made sure every single detail that we discussed would be there was there, and was truly a dream to work with! The communication from everyone at The Desmond was simply outstanding, which means a lot to a corona bride trying to contact all of the other vendors. I never doubted that my emails would be answered and after all of the time we spent communicating, I can honestly say that I will miss getting to speak with them now that it's over. Cannot recommend them enough!

We used The Desmond Hotel as our full service hotel for my daughter's wedding at French Creek Golf Club. They handled all of the transportation needs for us, as well as the room block, welcome and after parties, and a delicious brunch. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. They all work together like a family to make everything so easy for anyone hosting a wedding. Meredith was amazing with our room block and advice. She is so friendly and helpful. Cynthia did a fantastic job with all of our catering needs, and Steve handled all the transportation for us. This was a rescheduled Covid wedding and I was in contact with Meredith for almost two years and can't thank her enough for all of her assistance during that time. If you are able to book the Presidential Parlor, it was the perfect suite for the bride and her maids to get ready in on wedding day. With the adjoining guest rooms, it made a perfect family apartment for us during our 5 days in the hotel. I highly recommend The Desmond Hotel team and look forward to returning there any time I am in the area!

1000 stars. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic the Desmond was. We were a covid couple who decided to put things off from summer, 2020 to summer, 2021. I have told everyone I know planning a wedding to look especially at the covid shutdown era reviews, because that will tell you which venues/vendors will work with you when you are hit with the unpredictable. We were able to seamlessly postpone our wedding without a fuss or any extra fees: the policy was if the Desmond could not give us the wedding of our dreams within 8 weeks of the wedding, we could postpone without any stipulations. Kevin was fantastic. Throughout this process, he was reassuring, calming, positive, and would take time to talk to us on the phone about any questions we had. For our final planning meetings, we were always with Kevin for at least 2 hours: he made sure every little detail was what we wanted and took the time to connect with us on a personal level. The wedding day itself was seamless. We both live out of town but were holding the wedding in my hometown, so we had a lot of out-of-town guests. So many people raved to us about how helpful the staff was for any question they had. The food was outstanding and the cocktail hour area perfect. We had almost 200 people & there was plenty of space to move around without feeling crowded. Andy, Carol, and all the staff for our wedding were just incredible and they were there to help us before we even could ask the question. They brought us into the ballroom to see it & take some pictures before all the guests came in, & had our bridal party line up for our first dance after walking in which was an awesome touch. We did a Pittsburgh cookie table which can be a lot of work and the Desmond was all for it-and it looked amazing!!! The Desmond staff set up and broke down everything for us; we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They accommodated our group in the Fork & Bottle restaurant for the after party food/drinks which the out of towners all appreciated!! So many people told us this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. I could go on and on. The Desmond was fantastic. We wanted a hotel wedding and they more than delivered. It was the day of our dreams!!

We cannot say anything but positive things about the Desmond. Our daughters wedding was rescheduled due to COVID and Kevin worked with us to make sure that it was the best day ever. The entire staff, from bus boys to housekeepers treated all of us like royalty. We received compliment after compliment and all we could say was all credit goes to the Desmond. The food was fantastic, and we didn’t worry about a thing. They even delivered a meal to a babysitter of one of our guests in her hotel room. They only let us hive up to 5 stars but we give them 10! You will not be disappointed if you go with the Desmond.

A thank you to the Desmond It is rare to find businesses that pursue more than profit. A business that values its employees, gives to others, and does random Acts of kindness is worth supporting. This is what the Desmond hotel at Malvern exemplified. You can tell that at the core of their mission, kindness and giving matters. They provided the most incredible wedding and went above and beyond our expectations. In addition, every employee and participating vendor served with utmost excellence. We had friends that flew from different states and they were all inspired by the Desmond’s generosity, impeccable service, and commitment to excellence. My desire is that this hotel, all its employees, and supporting vendors may be blessed beyond measure. I hope many couples will choose this wonderful place to host their most memorable events. There are no words to describe our gratitude towards the Desmond, the staff and each vendor who selflessly gave their very best to make our dream a reality despite all the obstacles.

I highly recommend the Desmond for anyone hosting a large event. We had close to 60 wedding guests in 30 rooms for two days and nights and everyone had a wonderful time. The business manager, event planner and transportation coordinator made it easy for us although we had to reschedule three times due to COVID. The staff did their best to accommodate all our requests including early check- ins even though the hotel was sold out. Shuttle arrangements were handled for us including several last minute changes. The breakfast buffet we hosted was excellent. All in all excellent staff and a full service hotel in a great location.

The staff at the Desmond Malvern were unbelievably friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure my wife and I, and all of our guests, had a great experience. Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

We had a breakfast at the Desmond Malvern on the 1st floor Deck with Awning the morning after our daughter's wedding. It was the perfect ending to a perfect weekend. I worked with Shelly-Ann, who helped decide what type of menu to have for our guests (we used an a la carte breakfast menu) and provided the vouchers for the guests who attended. Vouchers were for guests at the Desmond Hotel and also for our friends and family who did not stay at the Desmond. She was so easy to work with and answered all my questions. The deck where breakfast was set up was wonderful! Nice breeze, there must be a waterfall close by, because there was the sound of flowing water beyond the deck ~ so relaxing! Our servers were friendly and very accommodating, and we were encouraged to stay as long as we wanted. I would recommend the Desmond to my family and friends, both for the cleanliness and adherence to COVID-19 standards, and to the excellent service they provided.

If you have any plans on getting married, I beg you to look no further and sign with The Desmond. As a COVID bride, I would like to say that the incredible team at The Demond went above and beyond to ease every anxiety, fear, and problem I approached them with. The flexibility was unmatched. I've been hearing horror stories of other couples not being able to move their date or not being able to transfer deposits and let me tell you, The Desmond is there FOR YOU! I worked with Kevin and Andy and what a dynamic duo they are. The listened to every. single. detail. They were answering questions before I could ask them and they did it all with a smile under their mask (I could just tell, ya know? :) ). Our wedding day exceeding our expectations and the expectations of our guests because of every single staff member at The Desmond. We signed 2 years ago because the professionalism and experience was obvious and it's also a beautiful hotel, but I couldn't be happier learning how compassionate and accommodating the staff was. It was a truly beautiful wedding and it is just so wonderful experiencing your wedding coordinators treating you like their own family. I 100% recommend The Desmond, and quite honestly, I want to come up with some other event to hold there!

You can’t go wrong with the Desmond to host your wedding! We had to change our date three times due to Covid and Karen/Kevin we’re understanding, flexible, organized, and responsive. As a bride, I truly appreciated this. The food and outdoor deck were incredible! Several of our guests raved about it and said it was one of the best weddings they’ve attended. Look no further - you will be in great hands! I am so happy and grateful we chose the Desmond.

We had our rehearsal dinner, after party, and hotel block at the Desmond. Shelly was so easy to work with, and helpful in accommodating all of our requests, especially given COVID restrictions. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We also used the hotel shuttles to transport to our venue, and they were prompt and comfortable. Highly recommend

We chose The Desmond Hotel to host our wedding guests. The hotel itself is beautiful and elegant. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and maintained. The hotel offered perks for hosting wedding guests, including a free night for the bride and groom, and arranging shuttle service from the hotel to the reception and back. The after party packages were reasonably priced and a great value, including music and a bar on the outdoor porch! The Desmond Hotel really made our wedding weekend that much more special.

This hotel lost our wedding cake!! Yes, you read that right. We gave the hotel we stayed at during our wedding weekend our top tier of wedding cake to refrigerate on Saturday night after our wedding. We came back the next day to collect it and they had given it away to another couple. On top of that, we had to fight to get the plastic taken off the pull-out couch mattress and my mom’s room’s AC had to be re-set twice. Yes, it’s a nice hotel, but I’m not sure if I’d recommend it given what happened to us.

Highly recommend the Desmond Hotel! We used the Desmond Hotel as our preferred hotel for guests attending our September wedding at the nearby John James Audubon Center. We used the Presidential Parlor for me and the bridesmaids to get ready morning-of, whereas my husband used one of the Executive Suites to get ready with his groomsmen. We then had our after-party after our wedding out on the deck, and our brunch the morning after in the Terrace Room. Everything was perfect. The rooms were renovated and clean, the Presidential Parlor was spacious and beautiful - a perfect place for 11 ladies to get ready - and the after-party (with food and a private bartender) and buffet breakfast exceeded our expectations. Everyone at the Desmond was so lovely to work with, especially Kelly from the Reservations department. We also used the Desmond Hotel's shuttles as part of our wedding transportation that weekend, which worked out perfectly. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The Desmond is the place to get married! I reached out to them with 8 months until my day and was able to get everything I needed. Karen is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive. She was there for every part of the planning process and made sure everything was perfect the day of. She also was flexibly in her availability for meeting. I live in NYC and was only available to meet during limited times. The day of was amazing. The food was delicious and the whole event space was set up exactly how I wanted it. The guests said the food was amazing and that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to!

We could not have imagined having a better experience! Kevin and his staff provided excellent service and the attention to detail was superlative!! The day went so smoothly and all of our guest keep telling us how much fun they had and how wonderful the food was and how lovely the venue was. Get married here!!

The Desmond hosted both my sister's wedding and mine, so we are repeat customers! They are timely with responses, the venue is perfect, lodging is right there, the food is GREAT, and best of all, they basically set up everything for you. You bring your own DJ and photographer, although they can give you some recommendations. They do the food, but contract with a few bakers and a florists, so you don't need to hunt for one (we went with who was closest to us). Then everything else is taken care of. Everyone with whom we worked was very polite, gracious, and understanding of our time constraint (we had 6 weeks to plan), but it was everything we thought it would be and more!

We could not have been more pleased and satisfied. The Desmond far exceeded our expectations. The staff are very courteous and helpful. They went above and beyond to service our guests. Karen Eubanks was truly amazing. We had challenged her with the task of planning our daughters wedding in only seven weeks and she not only did it, it was outstanding!!! I have already made the recommendation of the Desmond for our friends and their children’s wedding. Truly a first rate hotel and conference center!!!!

Perfection! The Desmond was amazing with planning every aspect of our wedding (room block, ceremony, reception and farewell brunch). Karen was with us every step of the way and was always available to answer questions, provide information and set up meetings. She made our wedding planning so easy and fun! The entire staff at The Desmond was equally amazing too. We were impressed to see the staff handle multiple weddings and room blocks all in the same weekend and did so flawlessly. Kevin and Carole were our go-to people the day of the wedding and were always checking in not only with me and my husband, but also with our parents to make sure we all had what we needed. The front desk, housekeeping, and banquet staff were so accommodating, helpful, and excited to help us celebrate all weekend! All weekend, the entire Desmond staff was there to help us and our guests with whatever we needed and even things we didn’t even think we would need! Our guests were so impressed with everything from the venue, decorations, food , staff and accommodations. Most of our family travels from out of state, so having everything at The Desmond made their stays more relaxing and fun. The Desmond also provided a suite and shuttles for the bridal party to use during the day which was a great help. I would recommend The Desmond to any bride planning for their wedding! Everything was great from the start of planning through the execution of the event and celebrating our wedding.

I can’t say enough about the Desmond Hotel. Karen our wedding coordinator, was spectacular. The banquet manager and his staff went above and beyond. We had some allergies and diet restrictions which could have been challenging but were not. They were professional and pleasant. The cocktail hour in the conservatory was amazing. The food was delicious. Our entrees were filet halibut and vegan risotto. All were cooked perfect. All meals were served hot not just warm. The hotel staff were friendly and made check in easy for our guests allowing some early check ins. My daughter and son-in-law had the perfect wedding. Thank you Desmond Hotel Staff

From the moment I found The Desmond, I knew it was a special place. As an out-of-state bride, I depended a lot on TheKnot reviews and found many outstanding reviews. Within hours of sending a message for information, I had heard from Karen, who would remain my point person for the next 18 months of wedding planning. Since all of our guests would be traveling for our wedding, it was very important to me that my guests were able to stay somewhere nice after a night of partying so finding a venue in a hotel was ideal. I had made a couple of trips to the area to visit venues, and fortunately, on that first trip, I did visit The Desmond. I was immediately taken back by the charm that the reception hall had. The cocktail area was beautiful and bright with many windows and would be ours for the night. The reception room itself was intimate and romantic with beautiful molding and chandeliers. Even better, The Desmond was undergoing renovations which to my happy surprise meant a new dance floor, beautiful and neutral carpeting, and a modern and updated bathroom. Aesthetically, I knew it would photograph well and I could picture myself dancing the night away there. Beyond that, the food was excellent! All of our guests left with full bellies. More than that, the pricing of our meals was also perfect. Finally, and this was a huge part of my huge satisfaction with The Desmond, Karen was such a blessing to work with. From the first moment we started speaking, she worked with my husband and I to make sure everything about our day was perfect. She made sure we had the desserts we wanted, the uplighting included, the meals to accommodate our friends and families with allergies and dietary restraints. She kept me updated with how many rooms were taken in our room blocks. She made sure that my dad and husband had their favorite beers. She worked with my parents to arrange breakfast the next morning for our many guests who stayed overnight. She met with us many times in the months leading up to the wedding and was always available to chat and was very prompt with emails. Even though she wasn't scheduled to be at work late on the Saturday we got married, she made sure to be there to see my husband and I just before we walked into the reception and to wish us well. We cannot say enough great things about The Desmond and would absolutely recommend paying them a visit if you're looking for venues in the area! Originally I had just booked my hotel block here for a reception down the road. My other venue canceled on me less than 60 days before the wedding! 58 days to be excact and tried to withhold my deposit. I had to find a new venue ASAP and I saw online that the Desmond had the space available on our date. I called obviously distressed (like an hour or two after I found out about my original venue) and they took such amazing care of me. They immediately told me not to worry, they'd make things work. We worked with Kevin and he was absolutely fantastic. Even though we had a condensed time frame to get things set up, we did not feel we missed out on anything with him. Everything was fabulous there from the front desk staff, the food, and the service. The pricing was very reasonable as well, and Kevin worked with us to make sure we could get the best value possible as he knew we lost some money with the other venue that cancelled on us. The property is very nice, and there are a lot of options for places to have your ceremony and reception. We had our ceremony in the Conservatory, the cocktail hour in the lobby area next to it, and our reception in the ballroom. The hotel comes and collects the card box after cocktail hour and puts it in a locked safe for safe keeping. As part of your wedding package, you get a free night stay on your anniversary so my husband and I will be going back next week and are very excited. They also order the wedding cake from Masters in West Chester which is one of the best bakeries in town (included in the food package). Plus Masters as part of the package will give you a free small cake on your anniversary to celebrate (upgradable to your exact wedding flavors and frosting for $15). It's a great place to stay too, and their onsite resturant is delicious. The front desk agents always greeted us and offered warm chocolate chip cookies to us and all our guests (even when my husband and I were just going to discuss plans). Can't say enough good things about this venue!

The staff was absolutely amazing and made our wedding weekend perfect! Everything I specified was executed perfectly! I worked with Kevin K. during wedding preparations and he handled my anxiety and questions kindly and professionally. The food was absolutely delicious!! The staff made sure my husband and I ate and always had a drink in our hands. All our guest and I can’t say enough how wonderful everything was!! I 100% recommend The Desmond for any event!!

Truly amazing!!! The sales managers (Cynthia and Kevin) and staff were organized, thoughtful, and made our day beautiful. The food was delicious and the space was perfect. The hotel accommodations for our guests were great too.

We used The Desmond for out-of-town guests at our daughter's wedding. We stayed there also, and so did our daughter and her new husband. We had a wonderful weekend! From hanging out in the Fox and Hounds Pub with family to Sunday Brunch in the Fork & Bottle restaurant; everything was great! The entire staff at The Desmond was wonderful to work with!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience planning and having my wedding at The Desmond Hotel Malvern!! Working with Karen was PHENOMENAL! She was so sweet, helpful and knowledgable. She was truly wonderful. The food was fantastic, and the bartender Dottie was unbelievable!! People are still telling me how much they loved their bread pudding! I met my husband at a wedding there, and I am so happy I was able to have my big day there too. Thank you to all the Desmond hotel staff!!
