I cannot say enough positive things about Julie Allen Bridals! I worked with Erica who pretty much picked out everything from the dress to my hair piece. She is the absolute best consultant and because of her talent, I ended up with a custom, one of a kind wedding dress. Thank you Melanie & staff for making me feel like family.

I got married this October, I bought my dress here in the summer of 2022! Erica was amazing!! She listened to my price range and then picked out so many beautiful dresses I would’ve never my picked myself to try on! All I knew I wanted was a dress with sleeves she went above and beyond to find so many different styles with sleeves, the whole experience was great she was amazing and I found my perfect dress! The alterations done to my dress were also perfect!

Julie Allen Bridal was the only dress show I went to when searching for my dress and they were amazing! The ladies were professional and helped me find my perfect dress! They could see my vision and knew what sort of things I was looking for. After getting the dress, the alterations went so smoothly and my seamstress was phenomenal! My gown fits like a glove and is way more comfortable than I could ever think possible! Thank you Julie Allen Bridal!

Julie Allen Bridal is amazing!! 10 years ago I helped my sister find the dress of her dreams and then I found the dress of my dreams. When I told them my vision and budget they matched it exactly and I bought the second dress I tried on. Alterations were SO easy and they pressed and steamed the dress so it was all ready for me on my big day! Highly recommend.

There were only three shops in the whole region that sold the dress I wanted, and Julie Allen was both the closest to me and the least expensive for alterations, etc. It's a no-nonsense, family-run shop, not a high-end luxury experience, but my dress turned out perfect, and I was very happy.

I bought my wedding gown here and had a fantastic experience! They brought me a ton of dresses to try on in my style and I never felt pressured at all to make a purchase. They have options in many price ranges and a large selection of dresses. My dress came in on time with plenty of time for alterations. I recommend shopping here for your gown!

I had an absolutely incredible experience with the entire team at Julie Allen Bridals. As soon as I stepped into the bridal salon, I felt so welcomed and wanted. Erica worked wonders in helping me find gowns that fit my vision of a perfect bridal gown for me, along with the most perfect veil to compliment my chosen gown. I tried on several gowns first, and then found the most perfect gown as soon as I stepped into it. My wedding gown and veil was the gown and veil of my dreams. I cannot begin to describe the amount of compliments I received, and continue to receive on my gown- how glittery, sparkly, and beautiful the gown was. My gown came from Italy, and was delayed in transit. However, the team at Julie Allen made everything so seamless and perfect. My seamstress, Yupa, did a beautiful job taking my EddyK gown and customizing the neckline from a straight neckline to a sweetheart neckline, and making me removable straps for our church ceremony out of the sparkly tool from my gown's hem. I cannot recommend Julie Allen Bridals enough for a beautiful wedding gown, or any other gown for any and all occasions. I had such a positive experience with Julie Allen Bridals.

By the time I found Julie Allen Bridals, I had been to a few other stores and had tried on so many dresses I started to feel defeated. From the moment I walked in the ladies were so welcoming and I knew this experience would be better than the last. I showed my consultant a photo of a dress I liked from another place, and she had me pick apart what I liked and disliked from that photo. She went out to pick some dresses and the FIRST one she pulled was my wedding dress. I immediately knew it was the one. She took everything I liked from the photo and found the perfect dress for me. I didn't even have to think about it and paid for it that day. I am so beyond grateful for how seamless they made the wedding dress process and I will be recommending them to my friends who will be getting married soon!

SO grateful for Julie Allen Bridals! From beginning to end, the process was so smooth. I got engaged in July, but I started looking for dresses in September. I had a short turnaround time as our wedding was only about 4-5 months away. I went for the first time to try on a few dresses and had chosen my top 3. After visiting another bridal shop, I returned to Julie Allen with a change of heart. They had no problem providing me with a few more options after I gave them a better idea of what I was looking for at that point. They gathered 3 dresses that were right in line with what I was looking for. I found the one and said yes to the dress! I was nervous about the turnaround time, but they assured me they’d order a rush on the dress and that it would be here in time. Everything went according to plan. My train was long so I was nervous about the bustle. Krissy was amazing and alterations came out perfect! The bustle was stunning. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I’m so glad I chose Julie Allen Bridals to help me find the perfect wedding dress! ❤️

Julie Allen bridal is a dream bridal boutique! I bought my dress so far head of my wedding because I knew it was the one! They were so great and answered all of my questions. My dress was perfect the day of. My bridesmaids also all got their dresses from Julie Allen and they were perfect. They also have great bridal jewelry and accessories.

I cannot thank Julie Allen Bridals enough for their AMAZING work. After visiting multiple stores in search of the perfect wedding dress, I was feeling defeated. This was the first and only place where they listened to and put me in exactly what I was looking for. Erica was a dream. When second guessing the size I ordered, Melanie personally remeasured me that week to make sure I was comfortable. Alterations were perfect. I also went back to purchase my veil there. Melanie, Erica, and the rest of the staff were incredible. I would absolutely recommend stopping in!

As a bigger girl, I was very nervous about my dress shopping experience. However, everyone at Julie Allen made it the most stress free and enjoyable experience. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on, which was very reasonably priced. When I tried my dress on once it came in, I also purchased a veil. My experience was so positive and I am so grateful!

Even though I didn’t get my dress there, they really helped me in a tough situation. I got the dress is Houston, TX originally and then moved to the area and took me on when I needed alterations. They were really helpful, nice and Reasonably priced. They did an amazing job with the alterations and the bustle of the dress. My dress had a really long train and was heavy. The way they made the bustle it was beautiful in the back and didn’t rip or break the dress. I had so many compliments that day. I owe them a lot of thanks for everything they did for me!

I said yes to the dress on 11/27/21! They really listened to what I was looking for and found my dream gown. The dress arrived within 5 months and was tailored not long after that and ready to go for my September wedding. Everyone there is helpful, kind, and welcoming. Highly recommend.

We got my dress and all our bridesmaid dresses here for my wedding this past weekend. Everyone was so sweet and accommodating. Everything went smoothly and every dress fit perfectly. I can't recommend Julie Allen more!

I felt like a Queen on my wedding day! From the moment I walked into the bridal shop to try on dresses to when I picked up my wedding dress, the entire staff was helpful, informative and easy to work with! My associate listened to all my dress requests and was wonderful when I pivoted to another style, which helped my find the perfect dress for me! I never wanted to take off my dress and I’m now trying to find an excuse to wear it again, LOL!

I had such a wonderful experience finding my wedding dress at Julie Allen Bridals! Every consultant was patient, kind, and so enthusiastic when I chose my dress in December 2019. They made me feel like a beautiful bride every time I stepped in front of the mirror! I had to postpone my wedding due to the pandemic, but Julie Allen's was able to store my dress for almost 18 months until I was finally able to come in for my first fitting! The seamstress was detail-oriented and receptive to my preferences, and the dress fit me like a glove in the end. Working with the team at Julie Allen Bridals feels like working with family!

I had been looking at designers by Maggie Soterro, I live in PA and my folks live in NY. We found Julie Allen through my moms relentless pinteresting and research. I drove six hours to come here, it was totally worth it. We worked with Lauren who is the granddaughter of the original owner! I am a size 14 and THEIR SELECTION WAS AMAZING! They pulled various dresses for me. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous mermaid style Maggie Soterro Dress and veil. Since I am from out of town I told my Mom lets look for you. Well she got her Mother of the Bride Dress. THE BEST CANT SAY ENOUGH THANK YOU! I SAID YES TO MY DRESS!

We had three weddings in our family this year and two of those brides found the dress of their dreams at Julie Allen. The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. The selection is excellent nomatter your size and the seamstresses were so talented that each dress was worn comfortably for a full day with no complaints. The only thing that kept me from five stars was that the alterations were slightly more than originally advertised (they advertised a max price on alterations but we were billed $100 more than their max advertisement) and payment was requested in Cash, which seemed quite odd for a professional bridal salon. Seriously though we were so very pleased with this Salon and everyone who worked there.

Their dresses are beautiful and their service is amazing. Highly recommend!

I had the BEST experience and the most beautiful wedding gown from this amazing bridal shop!!!! I went on a Saturday with my mom and sister (moh) and we had Stacy help us. She was so efficient and lovely. She always asked how I felt in the dress and if I didn’t say I like it, it was already off and we were onto the next one. After about 4, i had found the perfect dress and rang the bell! In addition to finding my perfect dress, my sister found my bridesmaids’ dresses from their large selection! They have so many colors, designs, and sizes! Because I got my dress and my bridesmaid dresses their, they have us a discount on all of the dresses! Everything was reasonably priced anyways but because I got the bridesmaid dresses there, they offered that small discount as a perk. They also have a full storage service and amazing seamstresses to help make the dress fit perfectly! Yupa was my seamstress and I cannot say how much I loved her! Everyone at the store makes you feel like family! You will be well taken care of and will look beautiful on your wedding day! I got so many compliments on my dress and the fit on my day! I cannot recommend this place more!

I first reached out to Julie Allen Bridals as they were the only shop in CT at the time who carried the Wilderly Bride by Allure line. I was in love with the boho-chic look of this line and my visit to the shop did not disappoint. The woman who helped me listened to what I was interested in and when I named the line she immediately ran to get several dresses that she thought I would like. I ended up buying the second dress I tried on. The alteration process was easy and well-done, and they made sure I got in for an appointment as soon as they were able to open after covid shutdowns. My husband and I had to postpone our large reception until July 2021, but I was still able to wear my dress for our small June 2020 ceremony. The shop held on to my dress for me until this summer to make sure it didn’t get discolored sitting in my closet. I was able to wear my dress a second time and got so many compliments on it.

There is a reason Julie Allen has been around for so long, they are simply amazing! After postponing my wedding from 2020, and realizing my original dress wasn't the one only 4 months before my 2021 date, the Julie Allen women found me my absolute DREAM gown. The know exactly what they're doing and how to find you the perfect dress. They are so easy to work with, and the alterations done in house are a breeze, that takes away any stress you might have. They also were SO accommodating and helpful with both my mom and grandmother finding their dresses as well.

Julie Allen Bridals was amazing start to finish. I went in in March 2021 and told them I needed a dress for may 2021 ( not much time!) they quickly pulled beautiful gowns that matched what I was looking for and found one that would arrive well before my big day. Yupa my seamstress was such a gem. She did beautiful work to make my gown fit comfortably and beautifully. The staff did an excellent job at communicating with me and working with my odd schedule. They also found the perfect veil with lace that matched my dress- I wish I could remember my stylists name, she was so amazing! I would recommend this shop to any bride.

I honestly do not even have the words to describe my experience at Julie Allen Bridal. I work in the industry as a hair and makeup artists and knew this was the place I wanted to get my dress from. A couple years back I had worked with them for a styled bridal shoot and they were beyond helpful and accommodating to our requests. Well, fast forward a couple of years and I was going as a bride to try on dresses. I will lead with saying that I am the most complicated and indecisive person when it comes to a big decision like finding your wedding dress. I worked with Jessica and my mom and I instantly loved her. She went above and beyond my crazy requests and had me in and out of so many gowns. I never felt rushed and she put several dresses on me more than once. I ended up needing a second appointment, because I wanted to KNOW that my dress was in fact "MY DRESS". A month later, I went back to try on a couple more as well as the original dress I fell in love with and of course ended up with the original dress. Because of Jess, I can confidently say I found the one! She went above and beyond to order a detachable train that wasn't in there store as well as help me customize my dress exactly how I wanted. Even after saying yes to the dress, she made sure I was 100% in love with the dress, as to make sure I didn't feel I had to rush into a decision. I loved her so much that I even sent my 2 sisters there and one of them found her dress right on the spot. I am so trilled I was able to have the experience every bride deserves and I can't wait for my dress to come in to try it on again! A million thank yous!

This place was recommended to me by a friend who got her gown there. It the was the first and ONLY bridal shop I went to. I was lucky enough to find the dress I wore to my wedding, after not having any clue as to what I was looking for. They were able to pull out different styles for me, and I ended up finding the dress I never knew I wanted. I have never felt more beautiful - the staff at Julie Allen Bridals made that happen. Mel, the owner, is the best and really puts her heart into her business by taking care of her customers, especially in this crazy time. Kassie was my seamstress and really did a wonderful job! We had the PERFECT experience at Julie Allen Bridals! Where do I even begin?? They made me feel right at home and comfortable right from the start. Their representatives are SO helpful and truly helped me figure out what style dress would look good for my body type and brought me dresses versus me aimlessly looking around at hundreds of dresses. My dress came in with a minor defect that they were upfront and honest about & were willing to do anything it took to fix it even if it meant having a new dress made. Honesty goes a long way with me so that meant the world to me. They made me feel so at ease even with having a “covid” wedding. They called to check up on me, and were super flexible with my crazy work schedule to fit in fittings and alterations. I will absolutely be recommending them to everyone! Thank you so much!

I fell in love with my dress but was told it didn’t come in my bust size. I was referred to JulieAllen Bridal who not only special ordered my dress in my size from Italy but kept the shop open for me to get there. The delivery was delayed because of the pandemic but they called me to check in and see how planning was going, worked with my schedule and were just so excited for me. I am so great full!

Julie Allen Bridals was amazing ESPECIALLY towards their COVID brides. My wedding was supposed to be in May, and Melanie called me herself in March to check in on me, ask if I had a new wedding date, and reassured me my gown would be safe until I was ready to wear it. (Some major bridal salons were NOT as kind) After two more postponements in July and August, I finally got to wear my picture perfect twirl-tastic gown in September! My consultant Jessica was the one who selected it for me, and she couldn’t have found a more “me” gown. Kassie did an amazing job fitting it to my 5’1 stature, and gave me a gorgeous bustle that was easy to do, held up through dancing all night, and didn’t make my butt look square! My mom is also a Julie Allen bride, having gotten married almost 40 years to the day before my own wedding. It’s no wonder JAB has been in business as long as they have when you experience how welcoming they make you feel. I also got my bridesmaids dresses there. They were #levkoff and the price was comparable if not cheaper than online retailers, with very good quality and gorgeous fabric colors that held up against wrinkles.

This is a family run business that makes you feel like you are one of the family. Melanie and her staff truly make dreams come true. They listen, they suggest and they will make it happen and make your dreams come true! My daughter and I were treated as though she most important bride ever! They just keep bringing gowns we never felt pressured or rushed. And then “the moment”!Covid May have caused stress and time constraints but they were the calm and made Dreams some true.. finding the one dress and searching the country to get the dress that had just been discontinued! They also helped me find the perfect MOB dress. Alterations were professionally handled appropriately priced! They truly made what could have been a more stressful experience..enjoyable and positive. I had an absolutely amazing experience shopping for my wedding dress at Julie Allen. I went in for my first appointment and tried on a wide range of dresses and thought I found the one I loved. Thank goodness for Melanie and her wonderful team!! I only went to one store and I’m so glad because I found my dress the first day I went shopping. Jen was so patient with me and was able to help me find the perfect dress for my wedding by the water. Fast forward and it’s July during Covid19. My fiancé are making the tough decision to postpone until next year for the party celebration and elope next month. Hence I needed a simple Summer elopement dress that Jen found for me today. What a lifesaver. I feel so lucky that her and Melanie came through to make my decision to do two events. A now I will feel special and beautiful and each one. Thank you so much!!!

I purchased my dress from Julie Allen Bridals in August of 2019 for my July 2020 wedding and I could not have asked for a better experience. I felt that the consultants that I worked with truly cared about helping me find the perfect dress and listened to anything feedback I had as I tried dresses on. They were very respectful of my budget and did not show me anything that was too expensive for me to be able to buy. The staff could not have been more wonderful. It was evident that every person who worked there loves what they do. As it came time to begin alterations, COVID 19 hit. Once they reopened, they took the precautions necessary to keep clients feeling safe. They also made sure that my dress was completely perfect on time. I never was nervous about going into the salon. Julie Allen is an example of what makes family owned small businesses so great. Thank you for helping me feel confident and beautiful on my big day!

I found the perfect dress for my wedding day at Julie Allen’s Bridal! Even during these crazy times, having to wear a mask they made myself, my mom and sister feel very comfortable. She nailed the style I was looking for and I couldn’t have been happier with my overall experience. The best part of it all, I said Yes to my dress!!

I found my dress at Julie Allen Bridals and I am so happy with my experience! Jessica was my consultant and she was so great at listening to what I initially thought I was looking for then adapting the styles she pulled until she put me in my dream dress! The dress is perfect and so flattering! It was wonderful to have one of the talented seamstresses come visit and advise on how she could bustle the dress to highlight the beautiful buttons down the back. The icing on the cake was the unbelievable cathedral length veil that will finish off my entire look. I am so happy I scheduled an appointment with Julie Allen, now I just have to wait 10 months to wear my dress!

The staff at Julie Allen Bridal is AAAHHHMAZING!!! I can't thank them enough for all their help with finding me and my mother in law dresses. I'd gone to several other stores before coming across their shop and later learning my mother in law had purchased her gown from Miss Allen 35 years before. Every other bridal store pretty much disregarded me or offered me little to no help and I was getting discouraged. I wasn't the average customer - I wanted a specific type of gown / look and it had to be black! Not to mention we had time constraints to make our Halloween 2020 wedding date. They were able to give me multiple choices that fit my budget and worked to find something I was over the moon for. They truly went above and beyond to find something I absolutely loved and were generous enough to wave the rush fee for me which is incredibly generous considering they're a small shop that went through months of closure because of the virus. They really care about the customers and it shows. I also want to mention that I was impressed with how well run they are given the current pandemic. Most shops are running around like chickens with their heads cut off, are refusing to open or have such stringent measure that its nearly pointless to even attempt to gown shop. Given all of the COVID 19 restrictions and limitations the staff is able to maintain an extremely clean and sanitary environment while still providing exceptional service. Ill recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for a bridal or special occasion gown.

I purchased my wedding gown and veil at Julie Allen Bridals and I cannot recommend them enough! I was a very stressed about picking my gown, as I have a scar in the middle of my chest that I wanted covered. The majority of gowns have a sweetheart neckline these days so it was very difficult for me to find a gown to my taste. I ended up going to 13 different bridal stores in southwest Connecticut as well as New York City. I tried on over 150 gowns over the course of a couple months. I saw it all! I had some very bad experiences at other stores. Several stores had me try on dresses outside my budget without telling me beforehand. Many had very pushy saleswomen and trying to sell me hideous, expensive gowns and a few made some very inappropriate comments about my weight that were completely uncalled for! Julie Allen Bridal’s saleswomen were all very professional, informative, and not too pushy. Ultimately, I ended up initially finding my gown (Allure Bridal 9422) in New York City at Kleinfeld Bridal. It was the perfect detailed lace gown, with a scalloped train, a hint of pink lining, and a delicate illusion neckline that gave me the scar coverage I needed without looking too conservative. The price was definitely jacked up and the alterations costs were outrageous at Kleinfeld, not to mention my visit was rushed and factory-like. So I reached out to smaller stores closer to my hometown to see if they had the same dress available. Julie Allen Bridals did not have the gown available for my initial try on, but I was able to try on other gorgeous gowns that were all within my price range. At my second visit with my family, they were able to borrow the gown I wanted from another store. I appreciated it so much that they went out of their way to have the gown available for my Yes! moment with my loved ones. Not to mention, the gown was several hundred dollars less than at Kleinfeld and they extended a sale for me as my mother was flying in a couple days after their Allure trunk sale, and I did not want to say Yes! without her. It was a perfect moment. I had my gown altered at Julie Allen Bridal as well. The woman who did the alterations was very kind, she made me feel comfortable, and did fantastic work. The gown was perfectly fitted. I also purchased a veil from them which complemented the gown perfectly. Overall, it was a pleasure working with the women at Julie Allen Bridal and I cannot recommend them more.

I bought my wedding dress from Julie Allen in April, and it was an awesome decision! The consultants were incredibly patient and helpful while trying on different styles, and helped me to pick the perfect dress (especially when I was stuck between 2 stunning gowns). My seamstress, Cassie, has been nothing short of amazing, with last minute changes and appointments. These ladies are experts at what they do, and have already made every experience there wonderful.

Julie Allen Bridals is the only bridal salon that I’ve been to and I’m so happy that I found my wedding dress on this place. I went to my appointment not sure what I want but definitely have styles that I’m sure I don’t like. Jessica was very helpful and very honest. I almost settled into a dress. I liked the dress but it did not really give that wow factor to me. She seemed to have read me and immediately said that she felt it was not my dress at all and to try some other styles even it was not on my list. I did eventually try a dress picked by my sister and that was it, I found my dream wedding dress! I’m so glad I listened to Jessica and didn't just give up. The following appointments were a breeze and even with making some adjustments on my order. Thank you you ladies for such a wonderful experience. It’s no wonder why you are the best on this field.

Julie Allen was the third place I looked at for dresses and I started to wonder if I’d be able to find a dress that had everything I was looking for. Jessica was amazing to work with and so personable with listening to the style I was drawn to and what I didn’t want. We were there for two hours and she was so patient and really listened to what I was saying and how I seemed to feel in each dress which led her to find my absolute dream dress. She also was sensitive and understanding of our price range. The selection is amazing and the dresses are very good quality that other stores didn’t provide. I had a very pleasant and special experience and would highly recommend Julie Allen!

After going to a few Bridal Salons...we were frustrated..until we walked into Julie Allen Bridals. Let me start off by saying this Salon is excellent! The staff is amazing and personable! They have a very large selection of bridal gowns...we ended up with all bridal gowns and the Bride’s dress. I was also very lucky to find my gown as well. The selection is unbelievable! I also bought a lovely pant suit for the rehearsal dinner as well. The owner went above and beyond to find a bridal pant suit for my daughter to change into at the wedding! I honestly can not say enough about Julie Allen Bridals! We had so many compliments about my daughters bridal gown! Amazing Bridal Salon!
