When I reached out to Amy she got right back to me and was very communicative. It felt easy to coordinate and she gave great instructions and directions for the trial and wedding day. Amy set up a trial for Jade and I for hair and make up. The trial felt like being with an old friend who is also high end professionally great at hair and make up. For the wedding day, Jade listened to any changes I wanted and was so fantastic and helpful with my mom and sister's make up. My sister kept saying "this is the most relaxed I've felt in years". Amy and her team did an absolutely amazing job for my wedding!! I was so impressed with how my hair and makeup came out, and really enjoyed doing my trial (she even redid part of my hair after I asked). Amy was a literal dream come true. I was referred to Amy by a friend who had worked with her in the past and as soon as I met with her, I knew exactly that I only wanted to work with her. She understood my vision, what was important to me and provided excellent suggestions. The package I choose included a hair and make up trial, and 8 ladies, hair and make up for the day of. I couldn't have asked for better hair and makeup for my day of. It lasted all day and looked amazing. Amy's ability to always do what looks best for your complexion, face and theme, is not a talent that not everyone has. Everyone, including our parents, were impressed with her friendly candor and ability to have fun but also get the job done. Amy was amazing to work with for my wedding. She was literally perfect and gave zero stress to my wedding day and planning. She is flawless with scheduling and everything went perfectly to plan. I have heard from other friends that have planned weddings that some of their vendors can be non-responsive to call/email, or can add stress to their day. There was ZERO of that with Amy. Working with Amy actually made the planning and the wedding day stress FREE. My hair/makeup trial with her was a really enjoyable and fun experience. I did a second trial bc I wanted to try out two looks- glad we did, bc we went with the second look. Amy was super relaxed and chill about doing a second trial. Day of the wedding, she was a lovely and calming person to be around, and of course she did an amazing job with my hair and makeup. She also did my sister and mom’s hair and makeup without doing a trial beforehand and they both looked gorgeous and loved their looks. Amy’s makeup looked great in photos, as well. Basically, stop mulling it over and just book your special event with Amy. It’ll turn out excellent!

I hired Amy after she led hair & makeup for my sister's wedding. Not only is she insanely talented, but she is so fun to chat with and it felt like being at the salon with a friend. I have long, straight hair, and I had a specific half-up/down look in mind for my wedding day (inspired by a Youtuber when she was a bride). I got married on September 25, 2021 and couldn't believe how perfect my hair and makeup turned out and how I looked exactly how I wanted to. Amy is a fabulous hair and makeup artist who made me feel completely myself while also looking approximately a million times better than I normally do on my wedding day. Amy was highly responsive to all of my emails, even during an incredibly busy wedding season, and was always a step ahead in terms of planning, preparing the wedding timeline, and discussing my needs. The hair and makeup trial at her Tribeca studio were great and made me feel totally at ease with Amy, who is also just a ton of fun to chat with and has great stories. She worked with two other team members on the day of my wedding, all of whom came to our location to help my bridesmaids, my mother, my mother-in-law, and me get ready. They were all phenomenal, had a great eye, and were exceptionally kind to everyone, including my sister, who was the maid of honor and is a person with developmental disabilities. Amy also made me feel much calmer with a lot going on that day--she helped me look composed on the outside and the inside! I would highly recommend Amy to anyone and am so grateful to have found her.

I did a trial with Amy prior to my wedding and loved the results - I still looked like myself, just an elevated version! She asked me many questions as we did the trial and listened to any feedback I had. Amy was very communicative leading up to the wedding and had two other makeup artists and another hair stylist on the day of to have all the bridesmaids and myself ready on time. I hired Amy to do my wedding makeup and hair, as well as makeup for my mom. We asked her to give us a glamorous but natural look - a heightened version of our usual hair/makeup - and she really delivered! On the big day, we both felt beautiful and very much ourselves, and we had so many compliments on our tasteful and elegant looks. Cannot say enough great things about Amy!! She is friendly, professional, responsive, and so easy to work with. Amy let me come in for two trials (because we postponed our wedding, I started rethinking how to wear my hair) – and even let my mom come in to do a hair trial as well. Day of, she brought along Jade and Ivey to do HMU for myself, MOB, and my five bridesmaids. They asked everyone to come in with ideas for their HMU and tailored the looks perfectly to how everyone wanted them done. They made getting ready so fun and easy! Amy specifically did my (bridal) HMU and made me feel so beautiful. As someone who never wears a lot of makeup, she made me look natural but elegant and elevated in both hair and makeup. I wish I could get married again just so I could have Amy do my hair and make up again. I met her through my work, so I knew I was in good hands when I reached out to her to do my HMU. We did a trial in her studio, which is was more than gracious with my indecisiveness and also the fact my mother was on FaceTime all the way in Australia - giving her own opinion! I knew I still wanted to look like myself on the day with just an added glow and still look great in photos. She nailed the look! My hair stayed in place all day and night without looking like I had sprayed a whole can of hairspray and my make up was still in place even after sweating all over the dancefloor. It was natural and long lasting! Amy is so easy going and relaxed, which is exactly what you want on your big day! Even when we stopped to get a few photos of me opening my present and we started to run behind, I would have never know from her cool, calm, collected nature. I would and have recommended Amy to every bride! She also did my mother, MIL and some of my girlfriends who were getting ready with me (I didn't have bridesmaids). They were all in love with their hair and make up and still rave about it! (Amy! I owe you photos!! They are amazing!)

Amy was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She is incredibly talented, easy to collaborate with and lovely to be around. I do not get my hair or makeup done professionally that often, so i am always a bit nervous about looking overdone. Amy helped me achieve that perfect balance of simple, elegant and special. Amy was one of the few people that replied when I was in search of somebody to do my hair and makeup for my wedding on Thanksgiving Day. Amy and I spoke, set up a trial and after a great result we signed the agreement for her to do my bridal hair and makeup and additional hair for members of the wedding party. The day of the wedding, Amy arrived on time and prepared to work. Her and her assistant were able to do everything we needed in the allotted time. The results were wonderful. I received lots of compliments. My hair held up the whole day even after being outside for 2 hours during photographs on a breezy day. Amy arrived on time, calm and with purpose. She gently organised our timings to keep everything flowing. She was amazing! The bridesmaid’s hair was elegant and effortless. No drama, unlike my own hairdresser who was s guest! He arrived 90 mins late and sweaty! Amy had this covered and offered to help out if necessary. Amy’s make up skills were perfect, natural but great for photos and it lasted all day. I was nervous booking from the UK but this lady was a godsend to have in the team. Amy was a dream to work with for my June wedding! After my trial I knew she was the perfect person to do my hair and makeup (and for my bridal party too). Amy was the perfect stylist to work with for our wedding! She was truly professional, made you feel extremely comfortable and was willing to test out multiple looks and styles if one wasn't working. As a self-proclaimed hair and makeup novice, I was quite anxious about the whole concept of having my hair and makeup done for my wedding. Not only did Amy do an incredible job on myself, my mom, my grandmother and my wedding party, but she made the entire process not just easy but fun (this says a lot coming from me). She made me feel COMPLETELY comfortable from the outset, especially when she explained how she liked hearing my feedback. She's also incredibly easy to talk to and have around, which I feel like is super important given the amount of time she spent with us the morning of the wedding. I cannot thank Amy enough for not only the incredible job she did with my hair and makeup for my wedding, but also for how wonderful she was to work with throughout the process! When my wedding day arrived a couple months later, not only were my hair and makeup even more fantastic than I'd remembered from the trial but it was an absolute delight chatting and getting ready with Amy! I can't recommend Amy highly enough, and can't wait to work with her again!!

I cannot recommend Amy Klewitz and her staff enough! Amy did my makeup and hair for my wedding and I was so happy with my look! She is extremely professional and experienced. She came right on time and had an upbeat vibe that kept my pre-wedding nerves in check! She is extremely talented with a keen eye and understands as well how her makeup and hair creations will photograph which is a major plus because those pictures are important! I wanted to go with a daring vivid, and vintage inspired look. She hit the nail right on the head without making me look overdone like a clown (which was a risk with that kind of look – but she got what I wanted exactly right)! I looked exactly how I had envisioned! She also did a couple of members of my bridal party who also looked stunning! Her staff that day also did hair and makeup for some of the other members of my bridal party and in all the years I have known my bridesmaids, I have never seen them looks so good in makeup as I did on my wedding day…all thanks to Amy and her staff! Do I recommend her? Absolutely!!!

Amy did an incredible job with hairstyles at my wedding! She is extremely professional and talented. She and another of her co-worker's were able to do hair for 10 bridesmaids, as well as the mother of the bride and groom in a very timely manner. Amy was great to work with since day 1. Logistics wise... Communication was super fast and easy. Booking a demo was a breeze. And payment is easy since she offers Venmo as an option! Her actual services were incredible. She always made me feel comfortable, asking what I thought of each look every step of the day. Amy was my American secret weapon. I was just married in France and fell in love with her work so much that I took her with me! Amy is a real professional. She was quick to respond to all emails, and knew exactly how to handle the voltage difference when bringing her equipment overseas. During the trial, we looked at a lot photos I had pinned on Pinterest and she was to see he common thread between them. She is relaxed and was so much fun to work with. The day of the wedding it was hot but my hair and make didn't budge. Hair and make up is make or break for any bride and I'm so glad to have found Amy!!

I'm really happy I decided to book Amy to do the hair and makeup for my wedding for myself, 8 bridesmaids, mom and mother in law. It was a large job, in a small space and Amy came with a team ready to make it all happen. Everything stayed on time, everyone looked beautiful, I was very happy with how it all turned out. The other hair and makeup team I’d been holding took another client for my date, so I needed a plan just a few months from the wedding. Amy Klewitz & Co. to the rescue! Her team is large and established. Amy herself was unavailable, so one of her stylists (and a few backups) handled my wedding and hair and makeup for my girls. Pricing was reasonable, work was quality, and over phone and email, Amy kept the plan moving - and accepted payment via Venmo (so easy). Christine Herbeck did my trial and my day-of hair and makeup, and did a BEAUTIFUL job. During the trial, we spent a while working out the kinks. She’s very collaborative and it was great to get things settled before the actual wedding day - I left the trial confident we could make it work. Day-of, the stylists Amy had said would be covering were not quite the same - and neither was the timing she outlined for me. For instance, Amy had said I should be the last one to have my hair and makeup done, but when they arrived to the hotel where we were getting ready, Christine said I should be first, with touchups again later. It was a little confusing and I would have preferred Amy and her team communicate better so that their plans were consistent. The timelines I had prepared for my bridesmaids were not valid, but they all kept things moving, even when my MoH asked to have her hairstyle redone. So yeah, it wasn’t perfect, but the outcome was. And with a bridal party of 7 and one wacky bride with an antique crown, they handled it well. So how was their work? Great! My hair stayed up (and gorgeous) all night with lots of dancing, my makeup was lovely and not too much or too little (and it photographed beautifully - with me looking like me), and all of my girls looked stunning - all of them had some combination of hair or makeup or both, all with different hair, skin, styles, and tastes - and Christine and her team made it happen calmly and keeping the period spent getting ready fun and light.

Amy did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and I cannot recommend her enough! Her and her assistant Jenna came to my (tiny!) apartment to work with my three bridesmaids and myself, and they were so easygoing and flexible, even managing to make all the magic happen within my small apartment. They made us all look gorgeous -- natural yet stunning. My hair turned out to be exactly the way I envisioned it to be. I didn't once fidget or have to worry about my hair or makeup throughout the evening - it held up perfectly and I felt amazing. I also did a trial with Amy months before my wedding, which is definitely something I'd recommend so you can get your look down before the big day and not have to worry about that. All in all, great experience!
