We got married this past October at White Pines and everything was perfect. All of our guests still rave about how beautiful the entire venue is, how amazing the food was, and how enjoyable the whole night was. The venue coordinator, Katy, is one of the most amazing people we've ever worked with. She was so positive, fun, communicative, helpful, organized, and made sure everything was exactly how we envisioned down to every single little detail. We really wanted our ceremony outside but the weather was not the greatest and she still made it happen. The chef is amazing and so talented. Their whole staff is so positive and hardworking. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we highly recommend White Pines to any couple.

Honestly, I would give this place zero stars if I could. The venue itself was absolutely stunning, but the staffing is miserable and I highly suggest you don’t book here if Paola is still running the events. We booked this venue 2 years in advance and had an amazing coordinator in the beginning and middle of the process. Those people left and Paola took over our wedding which made the process terrible and frustrating. The communication was non-existent leaving us to contacting the golf coordinator to get in contact with Paola. There was no organization and multiple things were missed in the process, so we were scrambling the week of the wedding to make sure everything was hopefully finalized. We were allowed to go the day before the event to set up (luckily, after a lot of pushing from our end), when we showed up—the space was not ready to go…tables weren’t in the right order so we had to rearrange, and table cloths were missing (just to name a few things wrong) which made that day extra stressful. She is careless and completely lazy when it comes to helping with your event. Details were missed the day of the wedding—for example, every seat was supposed to have champagne served from the start, but there wasn’t any. When I asked for champagne to be served to everyone, they decided it was best to do that and postpone serving dinner which wasn’t ideal. Luckily the space came together nicely with the help we had from outside sources, but without their help, it wouldn’t have been the nice event it turned out to be. We wish the event management staffing was better because the space itself and the surrounding area is beautiful for a wedding, but it is not worth the headache.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!! We went through 3 coordinators during our time and the last one Paola, was by far the worst, making promises she could not keep. The staffs all around communication is terrible, emails and calls were barely ever returned. Every coordinator told us something different on how the day would go and what they would do for us. The biggest issue was that we booked our wedding a year and half in advance and we were told up and down they do not book other events the same day of a wedding and that we would be able to set up the night before but the week of our wedding we found out there was a baby shower the morning of our wedding. We had already had vendors set up to come that morning and I planned to set up all my DIY projects the day before, but was now not an option. The coordinator and staff could care less about the money and time we spent and just said the baby shower would be over in time. Needless to say it was not and because of this so many things were missed and not set up for our wedding. This staff is unable to handle a wedding and I want to warn every bride and groom so they don’t have a terrible experience like my husband and I had. I could go on and on how terrible they made our day but I leave it at that.

WPGC doesn't even deserve 1 star. Only 1 because their owner was responsive AFTER complaining... Here it goes..
We first went to WPGC and fell in love with the property. It is beautiful and spacious. Everything went smoothly when we signed our contract back in February. Our first coordinator, Katy, unfortunately left suddenly and she was wonderful to work with. A woman named Paola Lopez took over when we met again in late March. Our initial meeting with her was very odd. She was very uptight and anything we had discussed she'd give us such an appalled/shocked look. Things that I had previous discussed with Katy, Paola would say "no absolutely not." I felt like I couldn't fully open up to her about my vision. Before we left she also commented "you're not one of those brides who will call me in the middle of the night are you?" She also said not to contact her, but she will contact us. Ok... I shrugged it off and didn't think too much into it.
My fiancé and I followed up in early May via email. 1 week goes by. Then we contact again after a week and a half. No contact. By the end of May I'm panicking because we didn't here ANYTHING from her at all. A month passed and we're 4 months out now scrambling to find another venue. It took angry phone calls to the director of the park district and to the owner, Andrew, who showed good professionalism and actually got back to us. We cancelled right away because there was no way I could work with that woman. She is the most unprofessional person I have ever met. Says she has "years" of experience...yeah right! BEWARE, future brides and grooms! BeWARE!!!!!
Oh and by the way, she never called back or apologized.

As a minimalist who loves both mid-century modern aesthetics and incorporation of the outdoors, White Pines was the perfect place in the west suburbs to hold our wedding reception.
From the moment my husband and I first arrived at White Pines for a tour 10 months before our wedding, we knew White Pines was where we wanted to have our reception. We loved the look of the high, wooden vaulted ceiling, tall windows, huge outdoor balcony for congregating, beautiful ponds, fountains and greenery — all qualities that were perfect for us as we did not want to have a standard, indoor only banquet hall reception.
Dori and Andrea were all extremely helpful during the entire planning process! They were quick to respond to calls and emails and were very helpful explaining costs for meals and the logistics of setup for the reception.
The day of our reception, Marlene was very accommodating, guaranteeing that both the setup of the reception and food service were flawless. When we walked into White Pines for the first time on our wedding day, everything looked even better than we imagined!
All evening long, guests told us how much they loved the look of the place and talked about how delicious the food was! The grapevine hanging lanterns available for rent through MDM Entertainment, along with the chiavari chairs and twinkle lights at the head table and on the patio, helped set the scene for our simple, natural and tropical reception look. All we added were some small potted tropical plants on the place card/memorial table and guest table, had mini monstera leaves in glass vases as our table centerpieces and popped our greenery bouquets into glass vases at the head table and our decor look was complete!
For Chicagoland couples looking for a reception venue that has natural, simple beauty and is different from the regular hotel or banquet hall location, White Pines is the perfect choice! White Pines prices are very reasonable, the food is outstanding, the customer service is on point, and the team ensures your wedding vision is fulfilled. We have no regrets about selecting White Pines as our reception venue, and thank everyone involved for helping us have the most beautiful wedding.

We held our wedding on 8.18.18 at White Pines Golf Course. We chose the venue for its unique space. Although some would consider it a banquet hall, the vaulted wooden ceilings really make the space much more special. They also have the option to hold your ceremony outside and we were lucky to have a beautiful day to do so. The grounds are really well maintained and made for a lovely backdrop for our day and photos.
The staff there was very organized and had a clear schedule of steps ahead of the wedding date to make sure everything was taken care of. We also were assigned a day-of coordinator as part of the package. Marlene was a dream! She really did help everything run more smoothly! The food was delicious, the space was ample for dinner, dancing, adding a photo booth and an extra bar.
We are so happy we chose White Pines and will look back on that day fondly for the rest of our lives!

Absolutely beautiful— large vaulted ceilings, beautiful ceremony space and arch overlooking golf course, and AMAZING event staff who really work hard to cater to every intricate detail of the day. Could not be more happy with my wedding day and how amazing this venue was :)

We loved our experience with White Pines for our reception! First, they have a very unique space, especially for the Chicago area. The huge windows are beautiful and our guests were able to take full advantage of both the patio and the surrounding grounds to take their own pictures. The staff were extremely helpful in making decisions and were able to accommodate all of our requests regarding decorating, setting up, and bringing in our own cake. We opted for a lunch reception instead of dinner to save $$$ and we got a very fair price compared to other places we looked at. The food was delicious, which was good since we didn't try it before making our decision. I would definitely recommend White Pines for your reception!

White Pines was an amazing choice for our wedding. Staff was friendly and answered my many questions throughout the planning process. White Pines took care of all of our set-up and the day of the wedding and their coordinator executed my vision flawlessly. We were also extremely pleased with the quality of the food - it was delicious! Very pretty venue that will help take care of many details the day of your wedding.

AMAZING!! I'm not even sure I can begin to express all the amazing things about this venue. From the beginning of our planning we started working with Donna, talk about one of the sweetest women I have ever met. She was available to speak whenever I had any questions. She was a major part of the huge success of our wedding. We had our reception in the tent and talk about beautiful. The food was to die for, all our guests are calling us raving about it!! Orlando our server, he is amazing we never had to look for him and he was catering to all of our needs. Marlene huge shout out you are awesome, thank you for dealing with everything so we didn't have to be bothered with anything! Our pictures on the grounds are gorgeous! Everything about this venue is one of a kind and I would suggest it to every bride I know. Thanks again to white pines you made the most amazing day of my life even better.

We had somewhat of a unique wedding, and as a former wedding planner I was very particular about my details and plan. The staff at White Pines was VERY accommodating and helpful. They took every minor detail of mine and made it come to life and my wedding night was absolutely perfect! The grounds are beautiful, the staff is all very friendly, the food was good and they handled everything with the best professionalism. The prices are very reasonable and I was able to make my dream wedding come true on our budget. I would recommend this as a wedding venue, and banquet or event space. My dreams came true on 4/29/17 thanks to this wonderful team!

We had a great experience with White Pines! We ended up moving here after originally booking a different venue and immediately felt so much better about the whole wedding planning process. Donna was great to work with and was very quick to answer questions and provide ideas. We booked our wedding of 240 guests in the brand new tent without seeing it, so that came with a few challenges. We were told the tent would have a few features that it didn't, but that's the nature of booking a venue based on tentative plans and pictures rather than walking through it. All in all, everything was beautiful. Highly recommend working with MDM Entertainment for lighting/decor needs as the tent is very plain to start. It definitely requires you to put a little extra money and planning into it but it was worth it. The patio is amazing, it overlooks the foundation and has adorable string lighting over it. The food was all delicious and served warm. We researched many venues and found White Pines to be very affordable compared to others.

We recently had our ceremony and reception at White Pines Golf Club & Banquets and everything was absolutely beautiful. Where do I even begin? The grounds were breathtaking and provided for gorgeous photos. The maintenance staff set up our ceremony just as described, which allowed for our officiant to deliver her speech exactly as planned, with ease and grace. The food was delicious and was complimented on by many of our guests. The room looked absolutely amazing, thanks to the lighting company (MDM Entertainment) that White Pines works with exclusively. The hostess, Dee, was incredible and very accommodating, both during our rehearsal and throughout the entire reception. She made us feel as if we were among family while working with her, and we felt completely comfortable and assured in her hands. The kitchen staff was superb and made sure to tend to every guest's needs. Not to mention, they were incredibly fun and remained in good spirits the whole night. They even helped pack up our centerpieces and decor at the end of the evening, and did so efficiently and with great care. The banquet event planners were very friendly and responsive to any questions that came up along the way. The combined efforts of the staff allowed for our event to go by smoothly, and we had an absolute blast! With this venue, we had the opportunity to make our vision come to life, and we could not have asked for anything more. If you are looking for a unique, personal experience and something other than the traditional, dime-a-dozen banquet halls, then White Pines is the place for you! Even though it felt as if the evening went by in the blink of an eye, we will cherish the memories of our wedding night, at this lovely venue, for many years to come.

We had our wedding reception at White Pines a month ago, and could not have been more happy. Our day was absolutely perfect, and most importantly easy and stress free! The reception room was set up beautifully, and exactly how we wanted. I was nervous about all of our decor being set up, but they did a really great job. We got a lot of great comments from guests on the food as well. I need to give a special shout out to our head table server, Sue, who was so wonderful and took great care of us all night! This is really a beautiful venue, and the office staff was friendly and easy to work with.

I have to say, White Pines Banquets completed my wedding dream. My dream wedding was shattered with another venue left me and my husband with out a wedding date and lost money. White Pines literally saved the day. They made everything simple for me and really helped make everything stress free. The food was amazing and the service was great. They worked with my budget and I really felt welcomed. The day was seamless with the wedding coordinator and everything was smooth. If you want a worry free wedding, a wedding that your guest will rave about, and beautiful wedding photos then this is the venue for you!

The instant we walked into White Pines' banquet hall, we knew we had to have our wedding there. It had high vaulted wood ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, yielding incredible golf course views. I cannot say enough incredible things about the staff at White Pines. From the bartender to the office staff, everyone went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We cannot thank them enough. They wrote down the tiniest of details to make sure everything was exactly how I envisioned. When I walked into the reception, it exceeded my expectations! It was so beautiful. I keep receiving compliments on how awesome the food and service was! I highly recommend having your wedding here; you will love it!

This place holds a very special place in my heart as I spent many 4th of Julys on this golf course with my family. From the very second we chose this as our venue- the experience could not have gone any easier. There really is not enough space to describe this incredible venue and its planning staff. I was overwhelmed by the task of arranging a local reception for our son and his wife. At every turn someone was there to hold my hand and offer suggestions. Nothing was too small a detail. The food was terrific and an event host was there on the evening to see to every need. Thank you to Sara, Laurie, Dee, and everyone for helping put together a most memorable celebration.

This venue is absolutely amazing! When my fiance and I visited it was during a typical Chicago blizzard, and yet the venue looked beautiful! Sara showed us around and was very excited and helpful. There was nothing that she couldn't answer, and she was very accommodating throughout the visit. As soon as we left, we looked at each other and said yup, this is it. The next year and a half of planning went by smoothly, with everyone at White Pines being extremely helpful and accommodating. We could send a dozen e-mails a day, and they were always quick to reply and very patient! The venue includes everything, from a bar package, to the cake, the champaign toasts, the day of coordinator, and even the gratuity and tax was included in the sticker price (this, we found, was very uncommon for wedding venues). The day of coordinator (Dee) was extremely helpful both on the day of, as well as during the rehearsal, and she made sure that everything was set up correctly for the day of (not having to set up everything ourselves made our lives so much easier!!). The grounds were beautiful and there's really not a single thing that we could complain about. They made our wedding perfect, and we couldn't be happier!! We definitely recommend White Pines for both the ceremony and reception. Thank you so much for all your hard work during our planning and the day of :)

As soon as we walked into White Pines my husband and I knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding. The outdoor ceremony site is absolutely beautiful and it is just a short walk up to the banquet room. The room itself is gorgeous with floor length windows along the back wall overlooking the trees and the golf course. We love the fact that there is only one banquet room at White Pines as this gave our wedding a private and personal feel. There is even an outdoor balcony off of the reception room that many of my guests utilized to smoke, drink or just have a nice conversation on a beautiful summer night.
The entire staff at White Pines were wonderful. Everyone was kind, helpful and full of wonderful suggestions. They were very easy to work with and priced very well for my budget. They were always quick to respond to my questions and concerns and everything was followed down to the last detail on our wedding day. The grounds at White Pines are beautiful and in turn we have got some of the most wonderful wedding pictures I could ever ask for! They made the whole wedding process as stress free as possible and I cannot recommend them enough!

FANTASTIC!! I can't say enough amazing things about everyone at White Pines. From the moment we walked in the door, we knew this was where we were going to get married.
My husband and I had looked at about 10 other places and were going to settle with one that we were only semi-happy with. Neither one of us had found a place we loved until I happened to see a commercial for White Pines one night. I am convinced it was a sign as I have never seen the commercial since.
After showing the Other facility to our parents (which they weren’t thrilled with the Other place either...) we all decided to take a look at White Pines on a whim. It was actually Super Bowl Sunday in 2011 and White Pines was technically closed but we were able to get the attention of someone inside who was able to find Laura, the banquet manager. She was prepping for the Super Bowl party that the adjoining restaurant was going to have that night but she gladly took time away from that to show us White Pines. She was enthusiastic from the get go and made us feel right at home. She was so excited about everything that White Pines had to offer and she never made us feel like a burden for taking her away from her party prep. The following weekend, we came back and put the deposit down on the location and we were never once disappointed.
The facility itself has only one room that is a beautiful unique shape (no boring square rooms!) so you are the only wedding on the grounds which is wonderful. You get 100% of the attention from the staff the entire night. The room has an amazingly high wooden ceiling with wooden beams and gorgeous floor to ceiling windows that overlook the golf course and outdoor ceremony site with a wrap around balcony. There is a private Bridal room just off the main room which comfortably fit me, my 5 girls, and my mom while getting ready.
The staff at White Pines were always willing to take a call, answer an email, and always had a smile on while doing so (and not a fake smile either). They were always willing to be there and help, answer questions, address concerns and never made you feel bothersome. The room set up was breathtaking and looked even better than I could have ever imagined. When I walked in around 3:30 (wedding was set to start at 5:30), everything was all ready to go with just the final touches being put into place. I was so happy at the amazing work they had done.
The prices too were phenomenal. We were lucky enough to get the 2011 pricing for a 2013 wedding but White Pines includes SO much more than your average venue. The cake is part of the package. There is no tax & gratuity added on at the end; it is part of the meal prices. You can have your ceremony there (for an additional cost which is what we did) which includes the arch, a table for unity candle/sand, a PA system, 100 chairs, and so much more.
Anyone that looks at White Pines won’t be disappointed. I mainly worked with Sara (who is AMAZING!) but also Laura, Alyssa, Dee, etc… The list goes on and on. Everyone made every single thing about our night perfect.

We hosted our reception there which consisted of about 180 people. We had booked this venue well over a year prior to our wedding and spent much of that time working with one coordinator on site. About 1 month prior to our wedding that one coordinator was no longer there so that was a disapointment. Some of the fine details that were promised to us while working with the other coordinator were not honored by the others. There are 4 girls working in the banquet office and they are all very nice and willing to work with you. So my advice to anyone looking to book an event there is this.... Make a word doc or an excel spread sheet of EVERY SINGLE detail that you want covered on your wedding day and turn it into them no sooner than a week prior to your event. Now that being said, I did get most of my details because I did have most of the things I wanted listed for them in a word document and they did and amazing job with what I provided them. However, again I stress there were details that were discussed (and I even saw her write them down in our file) over the 18 months we had spent planning our wedding and some of them just got missed. And to be 100% honest with you I didn't realize they were missed until after the fact. The decorations... I have very specific requests on how I wanted the hall decorated and I have to say the hall was stunning, it honestly took my breath away, everything was more beautiful than I had ever imagined. All of my guests complimented me on how beautiful everything was and how this place is a hidden gem. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a good value and a gorgeous place. I do stress again, be organized and write everything down. Now moving on, I purchased an over abundance of deocroations to make sure the room looked just right and they made sure I got everything back, they packed everything up for me and even put them back into the boxes I had brought them in. It was nice not having to ask my bridesmaids to help me scramble around to gather all my things at the end of the night.

I had my reception at White Pines and it was the way I always envisioned my wedding. The staff set the room up to my exact specifications. The bridal consultants answered every question I had and got back to me right away. The food was out of this world. They just hired a new chef that was on the Food Network! The landscaping and golf course are beautiful. The background looks breathtaking in photos! Also, the facility holds one event per night, which means the place is yours and yours alone! No other weddings to worry about! Finally, White Pines gives you A LOT for your money. I visited a ton of reception venues before making my decision and White Pines was by the far the most reasonable for everything I wanted.

I loved White Pines Inn. We had our ceremony and reception there and Beth and Alana (and all the staff) couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.
They are as hands on or hands off as you need them to be. The have a list of vendors they work with but are happy to let you bring your own vendors if you want.
We also got a block of 13 cabins (including one 12 person cabin) for our bridal party and immediate family members *and* had a rehearsal dinner picnic the day before. Cell phone reception is spotty and some of the sites in the Wedding Canyon could be spruced up a tiny bit, but everything was just gorgeous on our wedding day.

What an amazing day! I loved this venue because they helped me so much in my planning. I live in Kansas and my family is in Chicago. Alana did a great job of answering all my questions through MULTIPLE emails and helping me plan from so far away. The day of they handled everything and made my guests and I really relaxed. Everyone said just how beautiful it was and how AMAZING the food was.

I had only my reception at White Pines, but I would not have it anywhere else!!!! It was perfect. Everyone there was so incredibly accomodating--right down to my vegan dietary needs. The chef Chris was so kind to me and would have made me whatever I asked him to. And it was GOOD. Everything was exactly how I wanted it to be, and I had nothing to worry about! Each step along the way Ginger and Dee and everybody helped me tremendously. I did not foot the bill, but I also know that we got A LOT for our money. I love that White Pines does not look like a typical banquet room. There were WINDOWS and even better, a DECK! This deck was a lifesaver, as many of the smokers and younger people stayed out there most of the night. However, from the deck, the reception is visible, so when it was time for the bouquet and garter toss, nobody missed out because they saw it coming and all came back inside! This is an incredibly classy place, especially for the price that you pay. Without a doubt, this IS the place to get married, and I think anyone who doesn't come here and look around is stupid, and once you do look here, you will fall in love with it!

This place is just beautiful - everyone knows what they are doing and the place is so great. All of my guests just couldn't believe it, they thought I had found a "diamond in the rough."
We had our wedding out in the canyon and it was breath taking, you couldn't ask for anymore.
The wedding coordinators are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The pricing is right out in the open, so you know the costs of everything, you don't have to worry about any hidden costs.

The golf Course is picturesque, flowers, trees, a small pond/waterfall - lots of great photo ops. The price was great, couldn't find a better deal in Chicagoland for the quality of service, food, and ambiance. Theres a great outdoor patio area. Friends and family could go outside and enjoy the gorgeous night. Ginger - the site manager - was great. She was thorough in explaining things and was always available to answer questions.;The wedding cake was only ok, nothing spectacular. There is a fee if you bring in any of your own pastries, but this was clearly outlined in the contract so it wasn't a surprise.
