theWit - A Hilton Hotel

The Wit was spectacular! We planned the wedding while living out of town, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The hotel has very hip decorations and doesn't look like the typical stuffy hotel. Our guests were delighted by the views and the comfort in their rooms and in the event spaces. Because we had so many guests coming in from out of town, the location of the hotel next to the train stops was very convenient. Upon checking in, we were greeted by numerous employees asking us what they could do to help, and it made us feel like royalty. The day of the wedding, the hotel provided extra unplanned-for space to keep the bride and groom from seeing each other before the ceremony. Hotel staff continued checking in on the bridal suite on the wedding day to make sure everyone was happy, comfortable, and calm! The food was AMAZING. Our catering manager even arranged for several of the bridal party to go up to the rooftop bar and skip the line after the reception was over. Many kudos to our catering manager Paul and our event manager Brittney for providing such wonderful service.

Great place for our New Year's Eve Wedding! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour on the ROOF, reception, and our wedding block all at theWit. Brittney Epstein, the Senior Social Catering Manager, was there for us throughout the entire planning process. Her team was incredibly accommodating, and available for all of our needs (and guests needs) throughout the weekend. The Mac-n-cheese bar, champagne toast (and ceremony champagne) and late night snack bar were guest favorites! I would definitely recommend this venue for anyone getting married in downtown Chicago. I felt like a princess all weekend and look forward to visiting them for dinners and on the ROOF!

If you want a fairytale wedding you read about in a book or watch in a movie, then you have to choose the theWit. We looked at every well known venue in Chicago and the suburbs, but once we seen the theWit, we knew it was the place for us. The venue is gorgeous! The rooftop cocktail hour kept our guests in amazement the entire time. The ballroom was elegant, modern, and the view of state street at night is pure Chicago!! You know you have a great wedding when nearly a week later I hear from family and friends and they tell me that it was the greatest wedding they have ever been too! Friends tell us they have never seen Chicago from the rooftop, it was an experience of their life. The venue is perfect, but more importantly is the customer service, which is top notch. It all starts with Brittney Epstein, the Senior Catering Manager at theWit and her staff. The first time we met Brittney, she made us feel so important because she simply listened to what we were looking for and made every accomadation we requested. Brittney picked up the phone when I called, followed up promptly and walked us through the entire process. Brittney became a friend of ours for two years and made us her top priority. As for the food, simply perfect! The steak was Phenominal! The chef prepares the food on site and it is by far the best food I've ever had at a wedding, and to be honest, better than many city restaurants. We simply love theWit and would not change one thing. We had the perfect wedding! I highly recommend theWit to anyone looking to plan the wedding of their dreams. Thank you theWit!

From start to finish theWit made every detail of our wedding perfect. The customer service of all of the staff from bellhops to banquets to the Chef was stellar, Security & Housekeeping too! Our family & friends are still raving about the mac n cheese bar, the cake, & all of the delicious food & creative desserts. The rooftop made for epic photos & a modern wedding atmosphere that I know cannot be beat. Brittney Epstein the Senior Social Catering Manager made us feel loved, welcome, & top priority throughout the entire planning process & event. She is always quick to respond & super easy to work with. We love theWIT & highly recommend it to anyone looking to plan the wedding truly of your dreams. Not one complaint from our entire (some of them hard to please) :) family.

The wedding went above and beyond our expectations. There were loads of staff checking in on us (shout out to Brittany and Eric- thank you!) in the days leading up to the wedding and were excessively helpful with last-minute details. I was nervous about everything coming together since I didn't hire a day-of coordinator, but once I got there, I realized everything would be handled. We got lots of compliments on the food, and everyone enjoyed staying at the hotel. We are obsessed with the vegan cake they made for us. It was beautiful and beyond delicious. We had lots of choices, and are very happy we chose the Wit!

TheWit rules! We were married there in May and had the most wonderful experience. The staff was more than accommodating, from planning stages to offering an important guest milk with her free cookie. Brittney helped us make decisions that made our day complete. She provided honest feedback when we were over analyzing. Guests couldn't get over how delicious the food was, friend and helpful staff was, and how beautiful the venue was. We literally took over the place: ceremony/ reception in the Wilde ballroom, cocktails in Cibo, and brunch on the ROOF. Can't say enough good stuff!!

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary with a party for friends and family in the Cibo Matto room. A small group of 50 can be easily overlooked, not at theWit. From our first conversation with Brittney Epstein to the moment we checked out, we felt that we were her priority. Our guests came from 6 states in addition to locals and everyone commented on the quality of everything from the rooms, to the staff, to the amazing food, thank you Chef Leah!! Have cocktails on the roof and do a Sunday morning brunch, well worth it. Look no further, TheWit has it all including location!

5 STARS!!! Brittney E. is a pro! Her and the entire staff at the hotel were complete professionals, they knew exactly what to do without hesitation about any situation. I am so thankful I got to meet Brittney in the process and I am so glad I picked this posh hotel for my reception. Perfection from the location to the look and style of The Wit. This place is EVERYTHING!!

My wedding day could not have been more perfect. The staff at the Wit were beyond helpful and Brittney E. was a pleasure to work with. The staff was always willing to answer questions throughout the process and work with me to make the day perfect. The food was amazing and as Brittney will say it is not your typical wedding food. I could not have been happier on my wedding day and the Wit was the perfect city setting!

Our wedding was on May 7 at theWit and we honestly could not have asked for a more perfect day. The staff at theWit exceeded our expectations and made everything flow seamlessly from start to finish. Brittney Epstein was absolutely AMAZING! She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We still receive compliments (almost 5 months later) on how beautiful our wedding was. ABOVE & BEYOND what we dreamed about!!! The Wit and its staff made our special evening on 6-11-16 something that our guests will be talking about for years to come. The food was knock your socks off (hats off to their amazing chef and her creations), the service was incredible from the moment you arrive at the front door to the second you leave. There are a few very special people that I would like to highlight for exceptional service. Brittney Epstein Senior Social Catering Manager is a pleasure to work with she really listened to what we wanted and what our vision was. She helped make it come to life and was there making sure every detail fit into place the night of the event. Her attention to detail and coordination between staff with the help of Paul the day/night of our wedding and the multiple locations Wit Rooftop (cocktail hour) the Ballroom (reception) and all our outside vendors allowed us to enjoy or big day and relax knowing that they would make sure it was all perfect and it truly was. We are so grateful for everything they did and have memories that will last a lifetime thanks to The Wit and the staff.

If you're looking for a wedding location in downtown Chicago, look no further!!! My wedding truly surpassed any and every expectation I ever had for my wedding day! I have never felt like more of a princess / super star than at theWit! My wedding coordinator, Brittney Epstein, was truly INCREDIBLE!!! We ended up choosing theWit above a few other locations because of Brittney, and she certainly did not disappoint! Everything from the cake, the drinks, the FOOD, the lights, the linens, EVERYTHING was perfect and even more beautiful and delicious than I could have ever imagined!! Everyone that helped that day made everything run so flawlessly, I am still in awe and still receiving compliments 3 weeks later. I can't stop saying good things about this venue and its people. Truly the most spectacular wedding experience ever!!

Our Wedding was in October of 2015 at the ROOF of TheWit Hotel. From the very beginning of the planning process, we had a fantastic lead in Brittney, the hotel's point of contact for us. She took the time to learn our vision for both the ceremony and reception, and executed it to perfection. Yes, our entire event was perfection! Our guests raved about our afternoon wedding and commented it was one of the best weddings they have ever experienced. A lot credit goes towards the fantastic food and beverage (both were abundant) service; the bartenders and staff made sure there were no lines at the bar, the food was easily accessible and presented beautifully. As for the venue, we had a late morning ceremony followed by the 1PM reception, both at the ROOF. The incredible views of the city combined with a glimpse of Lake Michigan and the Millennium Park, as well as the brilliant sun bathing the dance floor created a surreal, fairy tale-like celebration. Brittney's thoughtfulness and attention to detail were incredibly helpful - from the valet service and guest escort to our favorite bottle of wine in our room and the final dance song selection - the personal touches we did not even expect, were there. The "Hangover" balcony was open and was a huge bonus for the city-view pictures and additional space to hang out. A big Thank You to Brittney and everyone at TheWit for making our wedding such a beautiful memory.

I'm extremely picky, but theWit surpassed all of my expectations! My wedding coordinator, Scott Stroope, was the best! He was detail-oriented, responsive, patient, creative, and went above and beyond what he was required to do to make our wedding beyond perfect! He even brought me 2 entrees because he remembered I loved the vegetarian dish! He went to the cellar to bring me my favorite wine, but because he knew it would take him a while to get it, he gave me a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rose in the meantime. He waived all parking costs for my vendors, and was so amazing to work with! The entire staff at theWit catered not only to my husband and I, but also to our parents, making them feel like royalty. We are returning for our anniversary, and if we ever have another event, we will be sure to have it at theWit! If I could give it 10 stars, I would! Thank you theWit staff for an absolutely flawless wedding! :)

My wedding was amazing- the day off staff was phenomenal and our guests had a lovely time. One comment- this may be a fluke but I was married that week in July when Chicago had record breaking heat. All of the hotels were dealing with it the best they could, but due to the weather my guests and my husband were very warm and slightly uncomfortable. The food and day of coordination was great. The guests loved the accomodations and proximity to great things to do downtown.
