Our big wedding plans got sidetracked due to an illness but we wanted to have our celebration when family was in town. Chris help us have a wonderful ceremony instead of a makeshift wedding. He offered so much feedback, issued our marriage license and even help with post-marriage name change. Easy to work with and we would recommend him to any couples planning their weddings.

If you’re getting married in Southern California, Chris is the officiant to work with. If you’re not getting married in Southern California, you should be getting married in Southern California, so that Chris can be your officiant. He’s been marrying celebrities and couples who need anonymity and confidentiality for over two decades. After much wait-and-see during our engagement (which took place right before the pandemic, nearly two years ago), we finally saw a break in the clouds and hastened to coordinate all of this last-minute from another state, and in less than three weeks. We decided on a guerilla-style wedding at the courtyard of the Ayres in Hawthorne, had a private lunch at the Strand House, and spent the afternoon (and glorious sunset) on Manhattan Beach. What an adventure! I still have butterflies just thinking about it. Chris was incredibly accommodating. He breezed in, swiftly set up the paperwork for us in our hotel room, married us in a poignant, private and perfect little ceremony just steps outside our suite, and even took a few photos for us. With a twinkle in his eye, he then disappeared into the ether. Mere words cannot do this man justice. Chris was reassuring about the venue we were deciding upon. Because he had done so many weddings at so many venues (including the two we were trying to decide between) he was able to confidently predict that there would be no trouble having a quiet ten-minute ceremony at either one. This helped reduce the stress for us immensely. Chris orchestrated everything so quickly. Chris made the entire process of getting the marriage certificate so easy. He has thought of everything, and he takes care of EVERYTHING. We cannot recommend him highly enough! He was professional, punctual and precise. We expressed a desire to get married on 21-12-21, at 12:21. Chris knew exactly when to start, when to ask us to read our vows, and when it conclude the ceremony. At exactly 12:21, he pronounced us husband and wife. We are so very happy. Chris responded to my initial email within sixteen minutes. I had read about his services months ago, but only had about three weeks to finally plan. I was convinced he would be busy. I was delighted he made the time and how quickly he wrote back to every question, every e-mail, every time. I was blown away. I knew he was the one that second, and that everything was going to go smoothly. I have no idea how I knew that, but it all fell into place from that second. The entire trip was an otherworldly dream.

Chris is a top-notch officiant. Answered all my questions before and after the ceremony (as I was totally clueless). He delivered above and beyond and he's a true professional. Definitely recommend Chris.

Oof I wish I could give a great review considering this man will be a part of my wedding forever but I can't. My biggest regret is not firing him when he showed up and insulted me 15 minutes before I was to walk down the aisle. Everything was great leading up to the event, super responsive via email, answered all my questions, does basically everything for your marriage license, easy peasy and I was so pleased to find someone like this considering I had to cancel our first wedding due to covid reasons. I'll keep this short, and thought about not reliving this since it's devastating and enraging and brings back all these emotions, but I think people should hear it in case you're thinking of hiring him. Had I read something like this I would've steered clear of this officiant. My wedding was in September 2020, and the last time I heard from him confirming via email was 17 days before the event. I reached out to confirm the room number two nights before the wedding and radio silence. No response. When 4:30PM came and went on the wedding day (my wedding was at 5PM and he said he would be there no later than 30 minutes till) -- I had to think of a backup plan if he didn't show up. Tried calling him multiple times and no answer. Still no response to my emails I had sent. He finally showed up about 15 min. till... No apologies for being late... the first thing he did was come into my room, point at my face and ask "what happened?" When my reply was "nothing", he said he thought I got a black eye. Let me rewind -- and reiterate -- i was in full hair and makeup for my wedding. I was 10 minutes from walking down the aisle. I felt happy and beautiful and was ready to have this amazing life changing event. And in one second... this man, the OFFICIANT TO MY WEDDING, destroyed it completely. What kind of a person does that? Like I said -- biggest regret was not firing him on the spot when that came out of his mouth. I am someone who has a prosthetic eye and have lived with people like him my entire life, but I have never been insulted like this. EVER. And that's saying a lot considering I've lived 30 years with a birth defect. Then the icing on the cake was he emailed and called the very next day asking where his money was ... so I guess his email did work and so did his phone. Do yourself a favor, look for someone else. This guy is a monster. Also -- since I'm here... I was pretty disappointed in his performance. For someone who has such good reviews and prides himself on being an officiant to many people including celebs, there were a lot of line flubs. He had our program months in advance so there really is no excuse. I work in television casting and ... had that been his audition... would have been a swift thanks for coming and no callback.

My husband and I just got married recently, we thought eloping with our current situation would be best. I reached out to Chris and he was very helpful and understanding in this process! He really knows what he’s doing ! It brought us peace of mind not having to worry about taking anything to the county because he takes care of it all. We had to push our wedding to 2021 and are expecting a child in January. So my now wife and I wanted to get 'legally married' before the baby. We are still having our ceremony in 2021. It was so confusing and county websites said appointments to get married would take months. (pandemic) Our wedding planners sent us the Officiant Guy's info. We spoke that week, I told him want we wanted. Something quick to not take away from our 2021 wedding. Chris was AMAZING! He did everything we asked for and more. I believe to save time, pieces of the ceremony were cut out which was disappointing but it was still a nice ceremony.

We learned of Chris because my brother used him at his wedding several years ago. I remember our initial reactions at the time when my brother said that he and his future wife "found a guy on the internet to marry us"... but we were knocked out at that wedding and knew we would eventually use him as well. For our wedding, Chris gave us all the materials and information that allowed us to customize our big day. This was wonderful because, with our hectic work schedules, we didn't want to just have a generic wedding but were overwhelmed at the thought of figuring it all out from scratch. Chris was extremely communicative and helpful throughout the process. On the day of the event he arrived on time and fully prepared as promised. He came dressed appropriately and had a calm, confident demeanor. Chris is a true professional -- he really added a lot to the day. Much like a seasoned actor or MC, Chris is able to take whatever arrangement of the ceremony you throw at him (including poems or stories of your own) and deliver them in a completely professional manner. He really went with the flow of everything and explained everything in the detail we needed. The cherry on top is the fact that Chris handles all the filing of the legal paperwork -- this was a huge help. He also was able to answer many questions regarding how to file, changing names, etc. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking to have any size wedding. Our wedding was very small and Chris was really able to blend in with the small family event. However, his professionalism would make him perfect for larger events, as well.

We were visiting from Germany for what you call a destination wedding during our vacation. We really enjoyed our time in Los Angeles and had a wonderful and intimate ceremony officiated by Chris Robinson who also issued our marriage license. We would like to recommend Officiant Guy or Chris Robinson to anyone planning to be married in Southern California. Christopher Robinson is a very nice man and he made it very easy to be married in LA. He provided wonderful resources to help us write our ceremony and urged us to include our own personal vows to one another. We shared our personal vows in English. In Germany we need to have an Apostille to show proof that our marriage license and certificate is legal and valid for international purposes. But it is difficult for a visitor to acquire an Apostille because of the time it takes to receive the marriage certificate after the wedding day. But we did not have to worry about that because Chris was pleased to assist us in acquiring our Apostilles from the Secretary of State's office. We really enjoyed our wedding at UCLA and we appreciate how easy Chris Robinson made it for us. We strongly suggest that you choose him as your Southern California wedding officiant.

My wife and I went over the web looking for an Officiant person and after talking to some people we called that we didn't like so much , we finally found Chris. WHAT A CERTAIN CHOICE ! We planned our wedding in 2 months and Chris made the whole process so easy! 1. We didn't have to go to the county clerk’s office which was a total bonus considering the limited amount of time we had. 2. He had plenty of information to help us customize our ceremony. It was short, sweet and just perfect, exactly the way we wanted it to be! Even our guests loved it! 3. He was available to answer all of our questions in a timely manner and on the day of everything went so smooth! 4. We didn't have a rehearsal or anything and you can imagine as a bride I was a little nervous... it couldn't have been more perfect! 5.
