My husband and I cannot thank Jamie enough for all of her talent, hard work, dedication, and creativity throughout our engagement and wedding! Jamie took our engagement photos, my bridal portraits, and our wedding photos and I have been nothing short of blown away every time we’ve received our pictures back! There are not enough compliments in the world to pay this woman! She is professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and really knows how to make you feel confident and comfortable in front of a camera! We love Jamie and would absolutely use her again for any other future photography needs we may have!

Jamie is amazing!! She made taking engagement photos, pre-bridals, and wedding photos so easy. She edits the photos and gets them back to you really quickly as well! All of the photos are absolutely beautiful! I definitely recommend hiring Jamie!

Jamie did both our engagement photos and our wedding day. She was so fun and easy to work with, even my picture hating husband loved working with her! Our wedding photos were absolutely perfect and we had way more pictures of the day than we were expecting!

Wow is all I can say! Jamie was there for it all. From a venue change, to new location for bridals and engagements, she can make anything happen. She is very personable, we felt comfortable from the first meeting with Jamie. When things started to get hectic on the wedding day, she was the one I turned to for a breath of fresh air and guidance on what's next. She knows how a wedding day should flow and makes it happen! Very responsive when replying to text and emails, always stayed professional. We love her so much and look forward to working with her in years to come!

I will forever recommend Jamie to everyone. She was absolutely amazing. I’m still in awe at how perfect our pictures came out. I absolutely love them. She did great with making everything go smoothly even when people wouldn’t pay attention she’d get them back on track and just help my day go smoother. She did a great job at capturing our reception which is everyone’s favorite pictures to look at because they’re just so funny! From now on if I ever need a photographer Jamie will be the one I go with!

I will recommend Jamie for the rest of my life to anyone who asks for recommendations for a wedding photographer. From my bridals to wedding day she was absolutely AMAZING. She is so good at what she does and catches detail you would never even think about. We received our photos so quickly and cried all over again looking at all the pictures. Our original date had to be canceled due to covid and she was very accommodating to help us with a new date. She has a heart of gold and I can't wait to work with her again in the future.

Jamie made both of our wedding days so fun! My husband usually hates to take pictures, especially when it is hot outside, and even he said how much he enjoyed all of the pictures! We received so many compliments from our families and guest about how amazing our photographer was to work with and how well our pictures turned out. I couldn't imagine having had anyone else photograph our wedding! She's so efficient and got every photo we requested plus so many more that we didn't even think of. She captured so many sweet moments that I'll now be able to have forever. She took charge and helped make sure everything went okay during the wedding and I honestly have no idea what we would've done without her there! We had various issues pop up and nothing phased her. And the photos truly do speak for themselves. ❤️ After having her photograph our wedding and take our engagement pictures, there's no chance of us ever hiring any other photographer. Jamie was the best wedding photographer I could have had! Getting top notch photography was one of my must haves for my wedding so I put a lot of research into wedding photographers. I read reviews, stalked websites, talked to people, etc. After meeting with Jamie I was became super excited about our wedding photography!! And I was not disappointed! Jamie was fast, efficient, and professional on our wedding day. Everyone in the wedding party was impressed by how fast she could get pictures done. She was great with getting every picture we wanted and with everyone we wanted. Now that we’ve gotten the pictures back, I am even more impressed!!! I ended up with more than 300 pictures that are all super amazing! My friends and family keep telling me how much they love all the photos. They are better than I could ever imagine. The only problem now is trying to choose my favorites! I cannot recommend Jamie enough for a photographer!!!

I can’t say enough about Jamie Heyl Photography!! As a Mom, there were certain things I wanted above everything else for my daughters weddings! A professional photographer with great ideas but also willing to listen to your ideas was an absolute must! From the beginning I knew we had chosen the best! When my first daughter got married, we wanted a second shooter. And I am so glad we chose that! The second and third daughter, we did the same thing. She captured those special shots with their Dad before anyone else saw them walk out! Priceless!! The detail in each picture captures the emotions at that moment, especially the pictures Jamie captured of the grooms!! Jamie is such a professional. I would recommend her (and I have) to anyone. For our family, she has taken engagements, weddings and now newborn baby pictures for the next generation!

Jamie was amazing on our wedding day! She’s very professional. She captured the personalities of our friends and family perfectly. She even took some really special candid shot of our kids that I will always cherish. We’ve since used her to capture newborn pictures of our two youngest children.

I don’t know where to start with this review, it’s hard to put into words how I feel about Jamie. I was very stressed trying to find the perfect photographer for my wedding as my pictures meant the most to me for my wedding day. Pictures are the one thing from your wedding day that you’ll have to cherish for the rest of your life, so you want to make the right choice when it comes to a photographer. Having a passion for photography, it took me over a year to comb through every photographer’s portfolio between New Orleans and Lafayette, and I can tell you NO ONE can compare to her! Her wedding photography style is what a bride wants. A lot of other photographers in the area specialize in more photojournlistic style, and several don’t use the right light equipment for the venues. Once I found her I immediately booked and she took all my stress away with picture planning. She had no problem with my unorthodox request to go to an additional location for pictures the day of the wedding and she literally made my dreams come true by doing so. I don’t know what I would have done without her. In my opinion she is also the best newborn photographer in the area as well! She’s an amazing person, and I guarantee you if you book your wedding with her you’ll also make her your regular family photographer as well as she’s amazing at what she does. I’m so thankful I was able to have her as my photographer. I’m a plus size girl and I was worried also that whatever photographer I may hire would solely focus on getting a great shot not also making sure I was poised in flattering ways- she didn’t disappoint, she made sure to make me feel just a beautiful as a regular sized bride. I love you Jamie!!!

What a fantastic find! Jamie came highly recommended by the inn keeper at our local B&B and she definitely did not disappoint. She took every idea that I had in mind for our pictures and made it happen. I still have my favorite picture hanging on my living room for all to see, 6.5 years later. She was punctual, professional, and genuine. She was so early in fact, that we were still at the hair salon. So what did she do? She met us there and took “pre-game” photos of us getting ready there as well. I could not have asked for a better wedding photographer than Mrs. Heyl.

Jamie is amazing..so personable and beyond sweet. In the past year and a half, she has become more than just a photographer to my family. She shot our engagement photos and captured some sweet family shots and some just as sweet pictures of my now husband and me. I was so apprehensive about taking pre-bridals, and she put me at ease. The pictures she captured truly represent the confidence I feel when she's behind the camera. Our wedding pictures are, of course, amazing, and she and her second photographer really captured the love between my husband and me. I will forever cherish those photos and the moments within them... When I was found out I was pregnant, Jamie also did my maternity session, as well as all of my baby’s milestone sessions (newborn, 4 months, 8 months, and 1 year). She will be our family photographer forever. I can not recommend her enough for every stage of your life—but especially as a wedding photographer.

I was in a wedding recently that Jamie photographed. I was also present when she photographed the bride’s bridal portraits. My experience with Jamie was absolutely wonderful! So wonderful that I booked Jamie for my own upcoming wedding including engagements & bridals! She takes her time with her clients making sure they feel completely comfortable & also brings an element of fun to each shoot! It didn’t feel like a stuffy photographer was awkwardly capturing the most important moments of your life, but more like a friend hanging out while simultaneously photographing ART.
