Erika immediately made my fiancé and I feel comfortable at our engagement photos. They turned out amazing! On our wedding day she gave us easy to follow directions and really captured the vision I wanted in my wedding photos. She does very quality work in her editing and makes your natural beauty shine. Erika and Austin were fantastic! From our first conversation with Erika on the phone, we knew she was the right photographer for us. She was SUPER helpful in planning the timeline for the wedding day. She kept everyone calm and on time from the beginning of the day to family pictures after the wedding to sunset pictures of the couple. The pictures were just beautiful! Every time I look at the wedding album, I find myself grinning from ear to ear. She not only captured the events of the day, but also the emotions. Would HIGHLY recommend Erika Brown Photography! She is a true professional!

Having Erika and Austin as our wedding photographers was awesome. The pictures they took were stunning, and they managed time and family photos impeccably. I felt so at ease going into the wedding day because of the prep work and discussions we had prior to the big day. I would highly recommend them!

Her and Austin were awesome! She captured every photo we could have imagined. It was a rainy, stormy day and she kept an eye on the weather and made sure we could get outside in between the breaks of rain.

I remember feeling overwhelmed when researching photographers for our wedding because it is such an important part of the day. We could not have been more pleased when we found Erika and Austin! From the very beginning Erika was professional, friendly, and so easy to work with. During our engagement shoot, neither my husband nor I were super comfortable in front of the camera, but Erika walked us through the process and the end result were so many lovely photos that we will cherish forever. Our wedding was lakeside on a VERY sunny day, which posed some lighting challenges for Erika and Austin. They were so great finding the right lighting and gave us so many wonderful photos from that day! Our wedding party and families had nothing but nice things to say about Erika and Austin, and so many complimented them on their professional but also relaxed approach. We did not realize how much the photography schedule dictated the day-of timeline, but of course Erika and Austin did! They are clearly very experienced, which allowed them to completely understand the flow of the day and help guide us through it. Erika’s print products are incredible as well! We were so pleased with how our photos came out, and now have several displayed in our home. We actually upgraded to the large, leather-bound coffee table album and are so happy we did so. It is very high quality and is the perfect way to relive all the happy memories from our wedding day. We also gave our parents the smaller coffee table albums for Christmas this past year and they love them! Erika did a fantastic job helping us customize each album for our families. Erika and Austin are wonderful and we highly recommend them!

I should have wrote this review a long time ago as we got married in August and I'm now just getting to it! Picking a photographer for our wedding was the most important decision out of our wedding plans as we cared about it the most. My mom is also a photographer so you can only imagine how picky we were when choosing a photographer. I definitely wouldn't say our wedding was an easy one to photograph. We got ready in a hotel, married in a church and then had the reception was in a different hotel ballroom. With so many moving elements, we were concerned that our photographer would be able to capture everything. Erika and Austin put us at ease. Not only were they professional, but Erika also went above and beyond to make sure she had the timeline correct, knew what I wanted and paid close attention to every detail. She is a wonderful person to work with and came across as the most professional and prepared photographer from the rest we met with before making our decision. Her photos are beautiful. You can tell she really cares and she also worked well with our crazy wedding party on a rainy day. I have never written a review, but Erika and Austin were just so amazing I had to share my experience! I can not say enough wonderful things about Erika and Austin, I honestly do not know where to start! Erika is so organized and made the planning process so smooth and as stress free as possible. She is able to walk a very fine line of giving direction, but also letting you be in the moment and therefore really capturing true emotion. I would consider myself very much a type A personality, so staying on schedule was very important. Erika definitely kept us on schedule, but did so without ever making us feel rushed. Erika and Austin made us feel so at ease and we felt like we were really just hanging out with another couple at our wedding! Not only were they fantastic to work with, the photos turned out amazing!!! If you are reading this review you can seriously stop looking around, I promise you have found someone who can check all of your boxes! I can not recommend Erika Brown Photography enough!

Erika was amazing. We knew immediately after meeting her that we wanted her there to capture our special day. She was extremely helpful and organized through every step. I woke up the day of my wedding knowing that the pictures were going to look amazing. I can't even express how much stress that took off of us. Erika made us feel comfortable and at ease, and we feel so lucky to have found such an amazing photographer for the most important day of our lives.

Erika and Austin were so amazing to work with! She was the first photographer we met with and we booked her 15 minutes after our meeting. We loved her style of photography and how professional it all looked. My husband and I were willing to spend a little over our budget on this because photos last longer than a lifetime. We were not disappointed! After the wedding, there was a slight problem with the printing of our photo book and Erika took care of it right away. They are so professional, so fun to work with, and amazing at what they do. Highly recommend!!!

Erika was an absolute dream. It was clear this was not her first rodeo and she knew her piece of the puzzle like the back of her hand. While she was professional, punctual, detail oriented, and provided those above and beyond moments, she also knows the importance of a wedding day being a uniquely beautiful celebration, sprinkling in her doses of pure creativity to our photos. She helped get the crazy family together with a gently assertive hand and heck - she had the patience to snap gorgeous photos with our dog (using treats and all)!! My husband and I are not particularly picture-people, but she sure made us feel like models - lovely people to capture on their big day!! I can not stress enough how big of a positive impact Erika made on our day. Thanks to her, we have the most gorgeous photos hanging all around our house and only memories that make me think "we had the most beautiful day of all time." It was really important that we had our engagement photos taken in Chicago and they were both willing to make a special trip up to the city for us. During the months prior to the wedding, Erika was very helpful in putting together our wedding day timeline. On our wedding day they arrived early and took beautiful pictures of our celebration. After the wedding, they were extremely communicative and got us all of our photos and albums faster than promised. For my husband and I it was very difficult to know what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. Neither of us particularly love the way we look in photos of ourselves and it made the process of searching quite intimidating. However, the minute we met Erika we felt at ease. What was more, she had previous work with her that day to share that was exactly what we were hoping to find. During our engagement photos her husband Austin was wonderful to work with and helped to make both my husband and I feel at ease in front of the camera. On our wedding day it was immensely helpful to have them both there settling pre wedding jitters, taking beautiful photos, and ensuring that our timeline was met with ease. We feel very blessed to have photography we love that we can share for a lifetime.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Erika. Erika shot our Sept. 10th wedding only (we live out of town and asked if we could switch our engagement shoot from the package out for an extra hour of wedding day time - totally 100% worth it!!!). Erika is very flexible and willing to work with her clients. She is sweet as can be and runs her business very professionally. Even though we didn't meet Erika until the day of our wedding, she immediately put us at ease and made us feel very natural and comfortable in front of her camera. Erika requested a shot list from us in advance, and she was very thorough in getting all of the pictures we requested. Erika is very responsive to e-mails and phone calls and was extremely easy to work with - something that was especially important when coordinating things from out of town. We honeymooned in Asia where my husband is from and Erika was super fast on getting us our proofs so that we could show them off to my husband's family on our honeymoon, which was very thoughtful of her. Erika's husband, who is her main 2nd shooter, wasn't available on our day and yet we loved the 2nd shooter that came with her that day. We would highly recommend Erika to other couples. She is very talented and we are so happy we chose her to preserve our wedding day.

We could not have been more pleased with Erika and her husband, Austin. They captured the day spectacularly! They were extremely professional, yet very comfortable and made us relaxed on such a hectic day. We received the sneak peek in about a week and the proofs in a few weeks, and the pictures turned out better than we could have imagined. My husband and I live in Chicago, and we were nervous about choosing a photographer after only a phone call. Erika was the best choice we could have made!

Of all the things I wish we could have done differently on our wedding day, we haven't once regretted hiring Erika to be our photographer. What we really love about Erika's photography style is that the photos seem so genuine and organic, highlighting our best features without looking contrived. The photos look natural. Erika and her husband do a great job of capturing moments instead of having posed pictures which can often look and feel cliche. We highly recommend Erika to be your photographer for any event as she is amazing and totally worth the money. This is an investment you'll be glad you made! :)

Erika and her husband were perfect for us! It started with a very professional presentation with Erika where she explained why she should be our photographer. We were immediately comfortable and knew she was the one for us. She was very flexible with our engagement pictures, as our first date got rained out. Our engagement pictures turned out beautiful. On our wedding day, Erika and her husband were everything we needed them to be! Some of our bridal party can be a little spacey, but Erika was very firm (just what they needed) to ensure they were where they needed to be when they needed to be there. Trust me, you want someone like Erika to make sure everything goes smoothly. She got all the pictures we wanted, and some we didn't even know we wanted. I will say, we ended up paying a bit more than we had originally wanted, but with we feel like we got such a great value with all that was included in the package. I cannot recommend Erika enough!

Erika is extremely special to my husband and I because she has been there through the ENTIRE wedding process… My now-husband hired her to secretly capture his proposal to me, then we had our engagement photos, and finally the actual wedding day! During everything, she was SIMPLY AMAZING! Erika instantly made me feel as though I was an old and dear friend. She is so kind and such fun to be around, which is exactly what I wanted in a photographer. However, she gets even better than her fun and kind personality… She is a true professional as well. Erika was super easy to get a hold of when I needed, and she also kept up and stayed in touch with me during our entire engagement. She is not simply someone who snaps pictures and calls it "good photography," but she truly knows how to capture moments perfectly… between the posing, facial expressions, and lighting she made each and every picture look like "us." I've had MANY people say the same thing about Erika's pictures. In fact, here is a quote from one of my girlfriends, "Who did your photography? Not a single bad picture, I swear. Every picture is just so perfect. They capture y'all so well!" I could go on for days about how wonderful Erika is. The most important thing is that she helped make my engagement and my wedding day perfect. I cannot recommend her enough!!! THANK YOU ERIKA!!!

Erika is an amazingly talented photographer. Not only is she kind, warm, and compassionate, but her work is truly fantastic. We had such a wonderful experience with Erika and her husband, Austin. They really do work as a team and made us feel comfortable for both our engagement and wedding shots. Erika captured everything from our special day: the small details, the big moments, and the candid shots (which were really important to us). Moreover, we don't really like "posed" shots, but the process of family photos after our ceremony was seamless and although posed, they were real! And Austin saved the day when one of our groomsmen wore black instead of brown shoes--he switched shoes with our guy!

Erika Brown is a fantastic photographer! Erika is the principal photographer, and always has a second photographer as well (usually her husband Austin). Having two photographers working together is great, because they can capture multiple viewpoints and spur-of-the-moment shots. Erika and I met before we signed a contract (you should do this with every vendor!). She provided me with all the information on her pricing and packages, as well as having lots of examples of her previous work. She is happy to answer any questions and likes to have an idea of what her clients' story is. Her pricing is VERY reasonable, especially considering the high quality of service she provides. Erika was fabulous on the wedding day! We had worked together beforehand to come up with a timeline for photographs. The day of, she made sure we stayed on track as much as possible, but was also flexible when needed. Her presence was so calming and positive. She and Austin had the perfect balance- they knew how to get great pictures without being bothersome or pushy. To add to all this, their pictures were absolutely beautiful! The quality is fantastic, and its obvious the work was done by professionals. I have looked at the photos dozens of times, and continue to be pleased. Erika (and Austin) really captured the spirit of the day, and provided us with images that will hang on our walls for the rest of our lives.
