Peter Doyle did an incredible job shooting our wedding in central Pennsylvania. He not only captured all of the photos my wife and I picked out before the big day, he went above and beyond to come up with creative ideas and unique settings. It was extremely important to us that we find someone we trust to photograph our wedding. Peter met with us prior to our wedding day, talked us through his process and shared his prior work. He was always available to speak and helped calm our nerves day-of. We appreciated how well Peter listened to our suggestions and incorporated them into our photographs. Within a day of the wedding, he sent us some proofs which were incredible. He worked well with all members of our large families, and was not intrusive during the ceremony. Peter Doyle was a such joy to work with. We hired him to photograph our wedding based on a recommendation from a friend who had hired him for her own wedding several years back. During our very first meeting, we quickly felt comfortable with him. His relaxed yet professional demeanor helped counter the chaos of wedding planning. He listened to us and understood what we wanted out of the photos. My husband and I had a lot of fun brainstorming with him over the pre-wedding portraits. On the big day, he was punctual and prepared. He knew when to recede into the background, when to pick his shots, when to direct a scene and when to work his way around the room. Peter has an excellent eye and superb attention to detail. He took a lot of great shots of not only the wedding but also the wonderful impromptu behind-the-scenes happenings that added depth to the coverage of the day. He was so quick to recognize and capture beautiful fleeting moments that we were honestly too caught up in to even notice. Overall, we would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone in need of a top-notch event photographer.

Peter is an incredible photographer and his work at our wedding turned out to be all that we hoped for and more. The lighting at our particular venue was extremely challenging and Peter not only anticipated this, but took the extra measures necessary to ensure he could still capture so many of our special moments.

We loved Peter's photographs of our wedding. He captured moments as they were happening, instead of posing us and creating forced moments. He captured moments I didn't even notice, like dances between friends or my parents tenderly holding hands during the ceremony. We love his photos and will happily recommend him.

Peter Doyle did such a beautiful job on our engagement photos. We can't recommend him highly enough! We found Peter through his NY Magazine listing, and right away his sharp, color-rich photographs stood out as a refreshing change from the washed-out vintage style we’d been seeing on just about every other wedding photography website. And it didn't hurt that his rates are some of the most reasonable you’ll find for someone of his talent in NYC. Peter was a pleasure to work with from the very first email exchange; and when we met him, his calm, kind, and laid-back energy immediately put us at ease. At the same time, he was decisive and in control of the shoot, ready to direct us when necessary. We also appreciated Peter's patience and flexibility in traipsing around with us to shoot in some of our favorite neighborhoods in Manhattan. Within two hours, Peter captured so many great moments that it took us a while to choose which image to use for our Save the Date. Our only regret is not getting him to photograph our “big day” itself (we got married in another city and had someone local to that area shoot the wedding). But along with a great set of engagement photos, Peter gave us memories of a fun and joyful afternoon in our hometown that we’ll always treasure.

Peter was unobtrusive and talented. He was also very reasonably priced. I recommend him!

I had a great experience with Peter Doyle! I really liked his approach – that he is not in your face at all but still present so that he captures everything. He has a calming effect and that was much needed in all the chaos of the wedding day. I also really liked the quality of his work. He captured most of the people at the wedding and there were really great pictures of everyone to share. There were also a lot of moments that he captured that were pleasantly surprising. His pictures looked like they had a lot of emotion and at the same time had the “journalistic photography” style. He was also very prompt with delivering the proofs. In terms of the package I chose: I had a party of about 180 people and I added a 2nd photographer. I think that turned out great because in the pictures I can see different angles and different specifics that they managed to capture because they were at different places at the same time.

Peter was amazing! Made us feel very comfortable and most times didn't even remember he was there! He got the photos to us on our own disk within 20 days after the wedding and gave us a certificate that gives us the rights to all of the photos from the day. He also did a portrait station at the reception where couples, friends, families could go up and get pictures together - they are black and white and every single one turned out stunning! We included them in our thank you cards to each couple/family. All of the photos from the day are absolutely gorgeous!! I was so happy!;The albums are super expensive so we didn't order from him. We payed the basic rate just to get the photos on disk and I am making my own albums using an online photography site. I'm sure they are worth the money though, we just didn't have it in the budget.
