We cannot recommend Julie/Something Bleu Weddings enough! We did the Event Management Package for our Labor Day 2024 wedding in Duxbury, MA. From 3 months out, Julie was a huge help in finalizing all of our logistics and coordinating our vendors so that everything went off without a hitch. In particular, we were worried about the logistics of our transportation as we were working across several locations about 15 minutes apart and Julie helped alleviate any concerns by being so organizing and getting the timeline down to a T! Everything ran so smoothly the day of and our parents and wedding party were very complimentary of Julie’s support. Something Bleu was always professional and highly responsive in communications with us and our vendors. Julie and her assistant Tina also made the decor we picked out look amazing and totally executed the vision we were going for! In addition, I had a million questions because I tend to get stuck in details and Julie was beyond patient and always willing to help us figure out the best decision. It was a perfect day and it wouldn’t have been what it was without Julie and Tina!
Julie is the best of the best! We had the pleasure of working with Julie for our October 2024 wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel. She was knowledgeable, supportive, organized and gave us a true sense of calm throughout the entire process. We had the pleasure of working with Julie for our wedding this November. She was absolutely outstanding. We had the Full Service Planning + Design Services. She helped from the very beginning with everything, even when we weren’t sure where to start. From understanding us as a couple and what we’re looking for from our wedding, to helping us further define a vision for the dream wedding we wanted, Julie made us feel calm.
She took charge in finding various venues and vendors to consider to get us started in crafting a team that could make our special day possible. She worked closely with us to schedule calls with various vendors, preparing us for what to expect, and joining us to discuss details with them as well which was very helpful. Julie was diligent about taking and sharing notes to capture progress with various vendors as well. The vendors and venue Julie helped us find were amazing, and great to work with.
She also guided us through overall reception design and possible ideas to fit our fall theme. She helped us come up with a design that was better than we could have originally imagined alone.
We planned for about a year and a half and Julie was not only extremely organized but extremely detailed oriented. She helped us create a schedule and timeline that kept us on track. Julie was always available and there for us for anything we needed. She created out dream design and vision with the little ideas we started with. She created an amazing timeline for the day of that helped keep us all on track. Day of the wedding, all the vendors were commenting on how calm I was as a bride and it was all because I know Julie had everything under control. She made us feel so at easy and comfortable and I did not have a single worry. If you are looking for a wedding planner, Julie is exactly who you need. I would like to thank my amazing wedding planner, Julie Riley, @somethingbleuweddings. Julie was professional and incredibly flexible with my time schedule which helped since I lived overseas. I have never planned a wedding before or helped in planning a wedding so I was not sure what to expect. She created a timeline as well as set an expectation of when everything needed to be executed, e.g. when the save the date should be sent, invitations sent, menus set, everything. Julie designed the seating plan, the ceremony as well as a bak-up plan in case it rained, which it did. She was incredibly creative and made me feel confident with my choices. I can't really say enough how much attention to detail Julie gave, down to the timeline of events on the day of the wedding. THE BEST!! We recently had the pleasure to work with Julie for our July 2024 wedding in Boston and I have to say it was one of the best decisions we could have made. We hired Julie about 7 months out from our wedding and she provided us with Partial Planning and Design services and was absolutely amazing to work with! From our first initial meetings, I was not only impressed at how knowledgeable and organized Julie is, but also how invested in her couples she gets- she truly wants the best for them and she makes your feel like you are her only couple, which is not easy to do! Julie's wide network of vendors helped us put together an incredible team and she suggested vendor services that we didn't know existed that helped make our day so magical. When it came to design, Julie was able to take our random thoughts and create the exact vision that we were going for. As we were getting closer to the wedding, I found myself feeling so lucky that we had Julie on our side. She was able to be our calm center when things got crazy and answered any of our questions, no matter how trivial they were. Julie is exceptionally professional and organized — she kept us informed of key milestones with our venue and vendor teams to ensure we stayed on track, despite our very crazy work schedules, and was always prompt and responsive, even about the tiniest of questions (and we had many!!).
Moreover, Julie leverages a robust network across the wedding industry and was always armed with a short-list of trusted recommendations for any service or item we wanted to consider, from florals, to invitations/paper goods, signage, specialty lighting, miscellaneous decor, etc. Julie also helped us prioritize the best ways to achieve design “impact” without overextending our budget, including brainstorming a number of creative and bespoke details to layer personal, unexpected touches into our overall design. She quickly understood our style and vision and helped us communicate effectively with our vendors to ensure this vision came together cohesively.
In the final weeks leading up to our wedding, Julie was truly the calming force we needed. She was proactive and transparent to address any information that might have differed from our expectations: e.g., when we ran into a few miscommunications as a result of turnover within one of our vendor teams (completely out of our control), Julie was a strong and effective advocate and resolved several of our concerns within a few short hours.
On the day of our wedding, Julie and the Something Bleu team (thank you Daniella and Rachael!) ensured every detail was in place and every transition was seamless so we could truly enjoy each moment without any stress! Julie did a fantastic job planning our wedding from start to finish! She has a great network of vendors and helped us choose the ones that were a good fit for us personally while staying within our budget.
After we looked at a few venues together and weren’t quite sold on them, Julie suggested what ended up being the place we chose, and we could not have been happier. The staff went above and beyond and our guests raved about how every detail was done so well. Julie was the driving force behind those details.
Julie kept in touch with us by scheduling regular meetings leading up to our wedding day, making sure we were on track with everything from picking our vendors, to ordering dresses and suits, to sending our invitations. We felt like we were her only clients at times with how responsive she was over email.

On our wedding day she handled all of the details seamlessly! She was able to be with me during the getting ready process and she made sure I ate, handled all the details for the photographer and made sure she had the rings and everything ready for the ceremony and setup! She truly does it all! It was also a rainy day on our wedding and our ceremony was planned to be outside. Julie was in constant communication with us throughout the day about the plan and made it happen with a few adjustments to make sure we had our perfect garden ceremony! She truly is a rockstar!
On top of being extremely helpful throughout the planning process Julie is also extremely kind, empathetic and overall amazing person. When my husband and I got engaged, we knew we wanted to have our wedding in our hometown, at my parents' house - but that was about it. I began to try to plan on my own, but working full time and finishing my master's degree was already more than I knew how to budget time for. We interviewed a few different wedding planners, and Julie immediately stuck out to us - her warm demeanor, professional attitude, and clear organization/plan for how to plan out our wedding was a relief, and when we got off the Zoom call, my parents and my fiancé and I all knew that we needed her on our team.
Julie is incredibly responsive, asks all the right questions, and truly let us design our own wedding. She led us through the process with clear deadlines for decision-making, and when we needed suggestions she carefully steered us in the right direction with vendors she'd successfully worked with previously. Julie photographed everything each step of the way, ensuring that all our choices were documented and ordered perfectly.
Julie made design mood boards for us, and when I inevitably changed my mind of some of the decisions, she made it seem easy to make all those changes across ALL her documentation and inspiration photos. Not only did we feel extremely well-prepared with Julie, it felt like our wedding was the only one she was planning at the time - something that takes talent, dedication, and organization to stay so on top of every detail.
The final few weeks before our wedding, Julie made our lives so much easier by crafting a schedule for the day of, letting us know when our vendors would arrive to set everything up, and even sending us photos of things arriving! We felt incredibly lucky to have someone as experienced, professional, and lovely as Julie on our team - our wedding was absolutely the best day of our lives, and we can truly attribute that to Julie's hard work. Everything turned out more beautiful and perfect than I could have imagined, and even some light rain showers on the day couldn't keep people from celebrating - Julie and her assistants were literally on their hands and knees wiping down the dance from to make sure everyone could safely dance the night away!
I couldn't recommend working with Julie any more strongly, and honestly, I already miss our Zoom meetings! She is not only a true professional, but she is a kind, warm person, and someone you will enjoy spending time with. I originally hired Julie of Something Bleu in 2021 for my 2022 wedding which needed to be postponed. Julie was very accommodating when I reached out to postpone and then went right to work when it was time to start working on my wedding together. I cannot stress how important it is to hire a wedding planner if you are doing a private estate wedding! Julie and her team were wonderful to work with! She starting working with me and my family two months out from my wedding and was successfully able to button up all the vendor details and create the perfect timeline for my wedding day. Julie is very detail-oriented and knows all the right questions to ask! Each planning meeting was informative and efficient and Julie's advice along the way was everything we needed. Julie's colleague, Tina, also served as a coordinator for our wedding day and she was amazing! Would highly recommend both ladies!
I honestly don't even know where to start - Julie was amazing. From the moment I met her, I formed a connection with the way she handled herself, personality and professionalism. I immediately booked her full-service package and went right into planning. She attended venue tours with us, set up numerous Zoom interviews with vendors and always provided an updated budget as booking took place. The connections she has from years of wedding planning is invaluable and led to the best vendor team for the big day. Julie always made sure to check-in on me and ask if I had any concerns (rarely did). Hiring Julie allowed me to truly enjoy the wedding process and gave me SUCH peace of mind that everything would be executed flawlessly. Fast forward to the big day and it was nothing short of excellent. Unfortunately, it ended up raining but Julie handled all coordination to ensure I got my outdoor pictures! Hiring Julie was the best decision I made! You never realize how much detail goes into planning a wedding until you start. Julie helped me plan and design my dream wedding. One that everyone is still raving about months later. I had so many design ideas and Julie was there to help execute them to a tee! She went above and beyond by having her husband customize a beer & champagne wall for my cocktail hour and a gorgeous greenery wall for my reception/photobooth space! Months leading up to my wedding Julie was the point person for all vendors and I can’t stress how helpful it was! I’m the biggest stress case and she was able to set my mind at ease. Days leading up to my wedding, Julie had a slight back injury and it DID NOT stop her from running a smooth rehearsal and wedding. I swear she’s Wonder Woman! If anything did happen behind the scenes I wouldn’t even know because she takes charge and makes sure you can be present for your special day. Honestly, what planner extends your cocktail hour for you because you’re running late??? Julie….Hire her, you won’t regret it!

Julie is super experienced, has tremendous industry knowledge, and was fantastic at every step of our planning process: from sourcing vendors and attending vendor meetings with us, to guiding us through food and beverage selections, to the aesthetics design of our ceremony and reception, to working with the venue at every step of the way, and much, much more. On the day of our wedding, Julie and her assistant Mallory were absolutely incredible. They attended to everything--from the big tasks, like vendor load-ins and set-up, to the tiny details, like holding my lip gloss or grabbing waters for the bridal party during photos--in a way that allowed us (and our families and bridal party) to relax and enjoy the day with no stress.
Aside from being superbly competent and skilled at her job, Julie is also a caring person who we genuinely enjoyed getting to know over the past several months! Julie has a great sense of humor and was also a calming force for us during the planning process.
Perhaps the best testament to how impressed we were with Julie is the fact that, after hearing us rave about our experience with Julie over the past year, my sister and her fiancé decided to hire Julie for their upcoming fall wedding! We're looking forward to seeing Julie put together yet another beautiful event and are so happy we found her!
We hired Julie about 6 months before our wedding, because we realized we were in way over our heads. We booked her for the partial planning package, and even though she officially started 8 weeks before the wedding, she sent over some questionnaires for us to fill out ahead of time that were immensely helpful, as they prepared information for our other vendors as well. Julie was exactly what we needed. She reminded us of little details we might need, and when we might need them. She organized all of our day-of items. She created a custom timeline for us and sent to all of our vendors, so I didn't have to coordinate with those other vendors, which was easily one of the best things she did for us. She was available for all of my crazy questions, and when the day came, I knew there wasn't a single thing I needed to worry about. My husband and I couldn't be happier to have hired Julie when we did, and would highly recommend her for a perfect wedding day.
After we had our first meeting with Julie, we knew that she would be the right fit for us, and we are glad to say that hiring Julie was the best decision we made. Her knowledge and experience were a big help in choosing our vendors, and her organizational skill is outstanding. She’s a professional who’ll help guide you and your partner through the whole process so you’ll feel at ease, and above all, she is a very understanding and nice person. When we were in the process of planning our wedding, my dad got diagnosed with cancer and he got extremely ill. I had to work and take care of all my dad’s medical paperwork, and also take him to all his doctor’s appointments. I was really close to my Dad, and It was really stressful since he live in CO while we live in NH. We had to commute every other week, and I would sometimes stay there for weeks before I come back to NH, only to hear from the Doctor again. A couple months before our wedding, my dad passed away–It was such a physically and emotionally draining moment for my family, my partner and myself. The wedding was the last thing on our mind, but luckily we had Julie. She was on top with all the wedding details and planning, so that when we got back to focus on our wedding, it wasn’t overwhelming. She handled everything expertly from talking with the vendors, sorting out meetings, and making sure all the details was to the way we wanted it be. On our wedding day, Julie worked with all the vendors from the beginning to the end, and made sure everything flowed seamlessly. She made sure that our guests were taken care of, and for us to enjoy the wedding. There are no words to describe how amazing Julie is, she literally went above and beyond, and made sure that we had a wonderful wedding! She’s someone you definitely want to have on your corner when tackling all your wedding problems, while keeping you grounded. Can’t recommend her enough!!
From start to finish, Julie of Something Bleu was an incredible help throughout the planning process for my daughter's wedding. She made us instantly feel at ease and her positive, can-do attitude was so helpful and very much appreciated. She graciously navigated any bumps in the road and seamlessly orchestrated the wedding day which was a beautiful and personal celebration for my daughter and our family. Julie was great to work with from the beginning: straightforward, practical, and bringing her in early really paid off in the last couple months when all the little detail questions start to hit. Thanks to her work coordinating all vendors (even a late addition we hadn't initially planned for) so thoroughly in advance, we had a beautiful, absolutely carefree wedding day, despite a last-minute obstacle! She dealt with ensuring everyone was insured, vaccinated, understood what we were going for, and showed up when needed - as busy as the last month felt, I knew with her I wouldn't have to lift a finger regarding all the vendors. Wedding planning is a remarkably complicated management task. It requires a wide range of skills -- attention to detail, vendor and stakeholder management, financial planning, and a keen design sense. Julie has these in spades. If you are planning a wedding in New England we highly recommend Julie. She was simply a pleasure to work with. Our wedding was amazing – it was fun and beautiful and low-stress. It was exactly what we wanted and exactly what we envisioned. Julie pulled it off beautifully and working with her for months through the process was a whole lot of fun. Julie was always available to work with us on our schedule. She made time on nights and weekends. She would always take our calls or answer our texts. Somehow, despite her busy schedule, she made us feel as though we we were her only clients.
There are three stages to wedding planning – the design/planning stage, the home stretch, and the actual wedding day. Julie was brilliant in all three stages. Here’s why:
I. The Planning Stage
We were immediately struck by Julie’s attention to detail, her range of connections in the industry and her knowledge of the process. Julie knew the questions to ask us so that she could help us design and plan the perfect wedding.
Julie was able to connect us to a range of wonderful vendors that fit our style, vision, and budget. She sat on every call, knew what questions to ask the vendors (and what questions to ask us) and went through every contract we signed. I am a lawyer and I was incredibly impressed with Julie’s ability to drill down on key contract terms and ask the right questions of each vendor.
Her organizational spreadsheet was incredible. It kept us on task and on budget. We probably needed more management than most, and Julie managed us beautifully.
Julie is much more than an organizational powerhouse. We thought she was an excellent designer. She did a beautiful job with our mood board and had so many fun design ideas that we would never have thought of ourselves. She was indispensable in helping pick our table design and florals. She has loads of experience and design sense. It shows.
II. The Final Stretch
Julie really shined down the stretch. When vendors were being difficult she just handled them. She worked with us and all our vendors to create the perfect timeline so that everything would go exactly according to plan (it did). She coordinated with everyone. She made what could have been a stressful time a lot of fun
III. The Wedding Day
The wedding day went perfectly, in large part due to Julie. She coordinated everything and did all the behind the scenes work so our day was stress free and perfect. Because of Julie’s hard work there were no surprises. There was nothing to stress about.
It feels impossible to write a review for Julie that can adequately describe our gratitude for her. The best way to characterize her role would be to call her the conductor of our wedding. She guided us through the 18+ month process with expertise and professionalism, but also with creativity, flexibility and warmth.
As is likely true for most people planning their weddings, a lot of “life stuff” happened in the months between booking venue and the big day. Julie helped us prioritize urgent vs non-urgent tasks and allowed us to direct our energy towards only the most critical things when it was in short supply. When our lives slowed down, she was there to chat with us for hours about our vision and always had great ideas on how to bring it to life.
I addition to her personal skills, Julie’s relationships with other vendors were critical for us. She found our DJ, photographer and florist (among other vendors), all of whom were incredibly talented and within our budget. I don't think that it would be a stretch to say that she assembled a Dream Team. This is not something that we thought a lot about when starting to plan, but by the wedding day it was clearly a very critical component for success.
We should say that our wedding was literally perfect in every way, in large part because Julie orchestrated the event with grace and skill. By the end of the process, she felt more like a friend than a vendor. Were we to do it all again, Julie would be our first call!! We feel so lucky to have found her and would recommend her to every couple looking for a planner.
It's hard to put into words how grateful we are to have worked with Julie. In the beginning of the wedding process, we were overwhelmed and didn't know where to begin. From the first day we met Julie, the wedding planning got a whole lot easier. From the first day working with Julie, to our wedding day, we felt as if we were the only wedding she was planning. That's how personal, and organized Julie is.
We always say "the best decision we ever made was hiring Julie". Not only is she kind and patient but the relationships she has with vendors are priceless. There were more wedding's this year than ever before and it felt nearly impossible to find vendors who we loved AND had our available date. Julie made sure we had all the necessary information to move quickly, and a list of other vendors as a backup. Julie's communication skills and attention to detail are immeasurable. Her weekly emails helped us stay organized, and on top of necessary payments, updates on budgeting, where we could splurge a bit, where we could save etc. If I could hire Julie to run my day to day life, I would lol
We did not have the easiest time with our wedding venue in terms of their process or communication. Julie advocated for us, dug into the details, asked the hard questions, had some difficult conversations and assured us that no matter what, it would run smoothly. Our wedding day could not have gone better. Julie and her team were absolute rockstars.

From our first meeting to begin the two-month coverage, I could see how organized, knowledgeable, and experienced Julie was. She quickly not only gained, but truly earned my trust, showing she would go above and beyond in ensuring we had the very best experience possible. All tasks were handled quickly and expertly, and always to my wishes. Not only was the work done well and right, but with a level of thoughtfulness that made me feel like I was her only client, though I knew she had many others to juggle.
When it was time for the wedding, Julie handled every aspect of the day with poise, dedication, and expertise. She seemed to be in all places at once, making sure everything ran smoothly despite the many obstacles thrown at her. She not only did her own part, but fixed mistakes on the part of others which would otherwise have been disastrous. Without a doubt, she was the hero of the day, and made sure the wedding was not just wonderful for us, but for all our guests.
I could not recommend Julie more highly or have better things to say about her, both as a person and a professional. My only regret is not hiring her sooner!
I am writing this review of Julie and her team from Something Bleu Weddings from a vendors perspective. I do realize most reviews come from couples sharing their experiences, however, it's also important to see how your vendors are to work with from a different angle.
I was recently the DJ on a wedding Julie was planning and my experience working with her was absolutely amazing. Whenever I hear that a couple has hired an Event Planner I am always wondering "How thorough will they be?". Julie took this to another level for me. She is very on point with the details and keeping all of the vendors in line with her forms. Here is one of many examples:
She emailed me asking what sized tables I need for each of the locations I was setting up equipment in. While it does not sound like an important detail, it is for me. To be honest, no planner has ever done this before. It allowed me to expedite my setup so I did not have to go find one in storage or go back to the van. Everything was ready for me as planned when I showed up.
I think these little things are what sets a planner apart from the next. I want to work with people like Julie who have this attention to detail because it truly makes an event smooth and seamless.

Julie is absolutely amazing!! Our wedding day was perfect in every way because of Julie, and we are so grateful for her. Julie is such a pleasure to work with, she is kind, extremely organized, and her attention to detail is unmatched. When we first booked our wedding venue and learned it came with an on-site event coordinator, we thought we wouldn't need to hire a separate planner. Then the reality of wedding planning hit us - it's a lot of sending emails, managing vendor communications, and strategic timeline building. None of this was work our on-site coordinator was contracted to help with, and it started to become overwhelming, especially as we planned our wedding from out-of-state and dealing with covid.
The best decision we made was to book Julie of Something Bleu to essentially 'project manage' the two months leading up to our wedding and be there to support us on the day-of. Knowing she was there to answer questions, create our schedule, and guide us through the decision making process took so much pressure off the final months leading up to the big day. And on the day-of, she was the one who made every detail, big and small, run smoothly. It really was thanks to Julie that my fiancé, our families and I were able to relax and enjoy the day. I can't recommend her enough!
My advice to future mothers-of-the-bride: hire a planner. More specifically, hire certified wedding planner Julie at Something Bleu. Your daughter’s wedding will be different in many ways from your own wedding years ago, different from your niece’s, your neighbor’s, your colleague’s daughter’s. All the networking in the world won’t give you what Something Bleu will: a well-connected, experienced professional devoted to making sure your daughter’s wedding runs smoothly so your family can focus on enjoying the day.
Julie was our go-to resource for vendor recommendations, communication, and follow-up questions. She coordinated with everyone at the church and the reception, and made sure the wedding party, guests, and vendors all knew where they needed to be throughout the day. When there were challenges - and every wedding seems to have them! - vendors would contact Julie, who would then contact us with a solution already worked out. Her day-of assistance was critical to the success of the day. My husband and I can honestly say it was one of the best days of our lives, and we owe so much of the credit to Something Bleu!
We used Julie for the last few months of plan ing and coordination. Julie was absolutely phenomenal and ensured a smooth wedding day from start to finish. We had multiple issues to address the week of the wedding, such as, protests where our photos were scheduled to take place and a road closure where our ceremony was being held. Julie to the rescue! Her attention to detail, time management, and calming nature is truly unmatched. I said multiple times the day of our wedding that I couldn’t imagine not having her as a part of our day. We would use Julie 100 times over! My only regret, not having her plan our entire wedding!

If you're looking for a wedding planner, you should hire Something Bleu. Because we had out vendors picked out and most things in place, we worked with Julie for the last 6ish weeks before our wedding and then the day of. We could not have made a better decision. Julie was attentive to detail, on top of everything, unbelievably kind, and super communicative. All was set and ready to go -- then Julie was sick for the day our event! That would be enough to send some people spiraling, but Julie was already on top of that too: staying in communication with us, the vendors, and pulling in her assistance Jessica to take over. Absolutely flawless. The coordination between Julie and Jessica made the event go off just as seamlessly as if nothing happened. I could not be happier and am genuinely sad that I don't have another wedding or event coming up to hire Julie for!
We got married in Salem, MA on 8.28.21 in a backyard private estate wedding and hired Julie as our day of coordinator. Julie was fantastic!!! She is extremely knowledgeable and gave us such useful information and recommendations during the planning process. She was so helpful leading up to our big day and took over all the communication with our vendors. She is extremely organized and created the most perfectly detailed timeline of the day. Julie was amazing from the beginning and was attentive to every little detail. We decided to ask for her “day of” services with about 2 months left until our wedding due to gradually increasing the amount of items and set up for the big day. Since our first consultation, I knew Julie was the right match for us as she was so kind and up front with the services she offered. As the big day drew nearer, more detailed decorations were added and she brought in her assistant Jessica who was amazing on the big day with her skills of setting up and attentiveness to us as a couple. They made sure we were aware of all the little changes throughout the day (including the change in timeline due to transportation being late) and managed to allow the event to go off without a hitch. I highly recommend Julie if you need any type of coordinator, whether a full planner of day of coordinator!
I really don’t even know where to begin with how fantastic Julie was at helping execute my dream wedding! We essentially had to build it from the ground up which meant that she coordinated with SO many vendors to keep everything together. There were so many times my mom and I would think of something to ask a specific vendor and when we contacted Julie, she was already several steps ahead of us! There is absolutely no way any of us could have enjoyed the wedding the way we did without Julie working tirelessly in the previous months and especially the weeks, days and hours leading up to the event (I’m talking like 18 hours per day)! She even helped me do a lightening fast change into my second dress just so I could get more dancing time! My advice to any bride is to trust that Julie’s above and beyond attention to detail will result in your wedding dreams coming true so you can sit back and soak up your magical day! Truly do not know how we could have done it without her!!
Julie was a life / wedding saver. She stepped in about a month from the wedding. She picked right up going over all of our contracts, contacting vendors to get more information, scheduling multiple calls and a site visit with us to get aligned with what we wanted, needed, and what we had. Her communication and professionalism is incredible. I always felt like her only client, even though I knew she was managing multiple jobs at the same time. She made me feel confident that we were in good shape and had thought of everything. She has a ton of resources for preparation lists, tipping guides, and just experience and guidance that she can provide. The day of the wedding, I was able to relax and get prepped with no interruptions or issues. Julie handled all of the issues with the designated individuals to ensure that our day was seamless and stress free. I didn’t know about anything until after. After the ceremony, she was a dream, always there when I needed water, a drink, to find someone, to follow up on something, or even to sew back on my bustle. While a lot of amazing vendors went into planning the day, it was Julie who brought it all together and delivered us the most perfect day. Seriously, you need her. You will not be disappointed with the experience and it will ensure that you have the most perfect day like I did.
We absolutely loved working with Julie! She is so warm and friendly and we would have been lost without her! From the minute we started working together, Julie was meticulous, thoughtful, and reassuring - I had nothing but confidence in her to bring our special day together, and she delivered absolute perfection! We hosted a 200-guest wedding, with lots of curated, personalized details, and a large wedding party - Julie managed it all with ease and grace. As soon as she arrived in the morning to our chaotic suite with 13 people getting hair & makeup done, she calmed the storm. She flawlessly styled our details, to make sure we had photos of all the important stationery and momentos, on top of managing the timing, wedding party, and all of the ceremony prep that had to occur in a very short window of time. She was able to seamlessly wrangle our large wedding party at our ceremony, and took care of details that I hadn’t even thought of (like making sure our extra ceremony items made it back to our reception venue). When we made it to our reception site, everything was absolutely perfect - she styled all of our personalized items, including putting together our 7’ x 10’ escort board exactly how we envisioned it. During our reception, Julie was by my side for whatever we needed, including helping me into and out of various outfits & shoes! She managed the timing of the reception, and even though we were running behind at one point, she seamlessly worked with our vendor team to make sure everything got back on track, all while reassuring us along the way. I cannot recommend Julie enough, as a fellow planner and now, a former bride. If you are looking for someone to flawlessly plan and execute your event, she’s the one you want by your side!

I planned a backyard, tented wedding at my parents' house, and Julie's help was crucial in having such an amazing day. She helped us organize the flow and layout of the yard ahead of time. She quickly answered any (long or short) emails thoroughly throughout the planning process. On the day of my wedding, she arrived, briefly checked in with my mother and me about the specifics of what we had agreed to, and then got straight to work setting up our tables and decorations without any further questions.
She appeared exactly when needed to help facilitate the ceremony timing, and blended seamlessly into the background during all other moments, organizing and taking care of anything that needed to be handled.

Julie from Something Bleu was our wedding coordinator for our May 2017 wedding. Julie was a total blessing. She took over on the day of when we couldn't be there to set up and handle all of the day's details. She was exactly what we needed.

She toured our wedding reception site ahead of time, and she helped us plan out the table settings. We were working with a truly unique space in an art gallery. It really set our minds at ease that she saw the space and knew how to set it up on the big day. Our guests really enjoyed Julie, she kept our evening running smoothly, kept me hydrated, and figured out my bustle for me. Our wedding day was flawless, thanks to Julie. Before the wedding, she came to the venue with us to meet with the event staff to help coordinate the menu, room set up and timeline. She offered great suggestions (things I never would have thought of; we took her suggestions) and was always available if we had questions. She contacted the other vendors to ascertain time-frames (for cake delivery, DJ set up, flowers, etc) and was invaluable to the event staff the day of the wedding... and to us.
The timeline she wrote for us was spot on and she made sure that everyone followed it. She got my step son ready for his toast, coordinated all day of activities (distributed gratuities, accepted flower and cake deliveries, etc) and on this boiling hot day always had water available to us and anything else we needed. We have three kids in their twenties and I hope they all get married locally so we can use Julie's services. I really want to have another event just so we can work with her again. Julie's coordinator services were the best investment we made on our wedding day. We would have been ok with no flowers but if we didn't have Julie we would have been lost. Thanks Julie!!
We could not have handled our 120 guest backyard, tented wedding without Julie's day of the wedding management services. If you are on the fence about whether to hire her, it will be the best money you spend on your wedding or other event. I wanted to be a guest at our daughter's wedding held at our home. On the day of the wedding, I was a wreck until she arrived and took over. Julie was so calm and professional; I just left everything in her hands for the rest of the day. It was perfect.
Day of Coordinators are the silent unsung heroes of the wedding day. As a fellow wedding vendor I always encourage brides to have one if they don't already have a full planner or coordinator. So when it came to my own wedding day I knew I needed a day of coordinator to relieve any day of pressures and keep everything running smoothly. I can't even begin to describe how happy I am that I connected with Julie.
From our initial conversation I could tell how organized and detail-focused she was. It was also clear that she had a passion for planning and coordinating. She brought up so many great points and reminders that I didn't even think about! And as a fellow wedding vendor I thought I had this on lock.

And while Julie did an outstanding job coordinating the day and making sure everything ran smoothly, I will be forever grateful for her kindness and genuine willingness to make sure that my husband and I had nothing to worry about. My father has some mobility issues and specific health needs and Julie made sure that my parents were comfortable. Even making sure that my dad got to the reception hall first to make sure he could comfortably access anything he needed. She also checked in on my parents throughout the night to make sure they had everything they were ok. We also had our dog be part of our wedding and Julie checked up on her during the reception a few times making sure she got a few walks and extra attention.
My husband and I are forever grateful for the part Julie played in making our day as fun and easy as it was. If you are looking for someone that you can trust with your wedding day, Julie is IT.
