Our initial interaction with Jack, he quoted the suits timeline for 6-8 weeks. My husband ordered his tuxedo and the groomsmen suits on May 6, 2024 for an August 24, 2024 wedding which was plenty of time. Jack told us they would be in by the 3rd week in July (5 weeks before the wedding) and when my husband called, Jack never answered. The groom’s tuxedo arrived in 10 weeks. However no update on the groomsmen suits. Multiple times a day we couldn’t reach anyone. As the weeks continued with still no answers, I showed up on August 3rd (3 weeks before the wedding) and Jack told me they were stuck in customs in China (for already weeks at that point), and they’d be here soon. Then August 12th still no suits, so I called the owner, James, and he was being told completely different things from Jack than what we were being told. The suits FINALLY arrived on August 21st (3 days before our wedding) but only 2 of the 3 groomsmen suits arrived, and to top it off the fabric was NOT what was chosen. My husband went there on August 22nd and still the 3rd suit hadn’t arrived. The other son, Liam, was in the shop while my husband was on the phone with Jack, and Jack said. “I’m not around today and unfortunately my dad and brother won’t be able to help because they’re not at the shop either.” My husband responded back with “I’m looking at your brother.” Jack clearly knew he was caught in a lie and delivered the 3rd suit at the hotel we were staying at on Friday August 23rd (1 day before the wedding). We had already had the rehearsal at this point. Note, 2 of the groomsmen’s shirts never arrived.
The suit material and quality were nice and the made-to-measure fit was proper, but being given to us with only about 30 hours before the wedding was too much of a headache. I commend the business for returning the upfront deposits to each groomsmen and was very apologetic in mending the situation. However; this business was a nightmare to work with and was the worst vendor of our entire wedding experience. The shear lack of communication, the absolute disregard for the urgency of the product, and most importantly the lying was the real aggravating part. The stress that came along in working with this vendor was not worth getting a nice suit. I highly suggest if you want to keep your sanity and stress levels low, shop elsewhere.
If you are planning on buying a suit from Regan Clothiers, I would ask you to please keep reading. We had a very negative experience overall - with no suit or refund by the end of it.
My now-husband paid in full for his wedding suit on the day he got fitted (10 weeks before our wedding). He was told that he’d be followed up with and that the suit would be ready with plenty of time before the wedding. After he tried to contact the company in various ways for weeks leading up to the wedding, we still hadn’t heard any updates (or even had the phone answered when we called) - even NINE days before our wedding. I then took an extra step to contact every member of the family business on every form of social media I could - which resulted in the person my husband was dealing with (Jack) texting me the next day apologizing for handling business the unacceptable way he has been. He said that the suit would not be delivered on time. He asked for my husband’s credit card to issue a refund. Later that day, we hopped on a phone call, Jack was super apologetic, and my husband and I gave him the card number for the refund. We were assured the refund would process in 3-5 business days - and it did not. The night before my wedding I sent Jack a text (since once again there was no luck in calling) asking for an update on the situation, and he replied that he was tied up at a friend’s Bachelor party, but that he’d try to get his brother (who also works for Regan’s) to give an update. We haven’t heard anything from anyone at Regan’s since - even after following up one last time via text to see if he’d correct the situation. After the wedding, my husband filed to dispute the charge for the suit on his credit card - and THAT is how he got his money back.
Luckily my husband had a backup suit (of a different color that he was happy enough with) to wear to our wedding. If you’re looking for a suit, I recommend visiting Indochino in person and working with Patricio! My husband now has a few suits from Patricio at Indochino and is very happy with all of them.
I really thought that a family owned business like Regan Clothiers would take more pride in what they do and ensure that if mistakes are made, that they would be fixed. I’ve gone through all the emotions - nervous, scared, enraged, forgiving, re-enraged, and now just disappointed. I am hoping that with this review I can deter future customers from working with Regan Clothiers and save them from such a frustrating experience.
Regan Clothiers were very nice and easy to work with! Their pricing was comparable but maybe slightly more than Men’s Wearhouse customized suits, but the quality/service you get here is unmatched and blows the other competitors. The guys all had a great time here and loved their suits.
After an absolutely abysmal experience at another store that claimed to have plenty of rental & purchase options for the groom and groomsmen (only to be told if we wanted something that fit better we’d need to go elsewhere for a custom suit), we were overjoyed to happen across Regan Clothiers. The experiences between the two stores couldn’t have been more different. Regan provided amazing customer service and customized every element of the tuxedo for our wedding. When we asked for extra appointments to go back and take photos for the groom's out-of-town mother and sister, they were more than accommodating.
Liam helped guide us through fabric selection for all elements of the tuxedo and shirt, made suggestions for customizing the lining of the jacket and buttons for the shirt. The suit fit wonderfully, far better than what we were being offered at the first store. If you are looking for excellent customer service, attention to detail, and getting exactly what you want out of a suit, look no further than Regan Clothiers!
Having ordered 4 separate suits from here I feel as those I can help steer folks in the right direction. That direction would be somewhere else. 2 of the 4 suits I ordered specifically for weddings didn't show up on time. I found out less than 48 hours prior to the wedding. The 2nd time this happened I called two months prior to be ghosted for weeks. I paid to show up at a vendor fair to confront them to be assured it was in the mail. Well to no surprise 2 days before the wedding I got a text that it was not going to arrive in time. 5 months later, it still hasn't arrived which I'm sure means they never put the order it. If you are expecting to look good for your big day (or someone else's) then look elsewhere unless you are a gambling man.
Myself and the other groomsmen had a blast hanging out with Jim, Sue, and Jim's sons as we got fitted for our suits. They served us drinks and snacks as we picked out the colors and materials to a CUSTOM fitted suit. He's fitted the New England Patriots for suits and you'll see all those pictures on the left wall as you enter. Everyone was excited when we went back for our fitting. I have since worn my Regan suit to 3 other weddings and I got compliments every single time. I still get compliments to this day as people saw the suit on my instagram and when they see me in person they say, "Hey btw that's a NICE suit!" They freak out when I show them the custom inner lining. BRAVO JIM.
My husband is very tall, with unconventional measurements. Regan Clotheiers made the Custom process so easy. We made an appointment and got five star service during the measuring process. My husband knew he wanted a Navy suit; we had no idea how many shades of blue were available. Jim helped him pick an updated, but still conservative shade. After the suit was complete, the try-on appointment was magical. I watched my husband come out of the dressing room as a different person. The suit fit him so well, and I could tell he was comfortable. He walked with his shoulders back and head held high - the confident man I fell in love with. He will be a Regan Clothiers customer for life, he'll never buy a bix box suit again.
