Regatta Place

If you are considering having you wedding at Regatta Place -- do it. It's hard to overstate how fantastic the venue and team were in making our wedding as memorable as it was. From the outset, Maggie, Kay, Amanda, and others made clear that they were invested in delivering the wedding experience that we wanted, without selling us on anything that didn't fit with our budget or plan. We had complete freedom to dress up the space we want and incorporate the elements we wanted, all in the beautiful backdrop that is Newport Harbor. It is probably worth mentioning that, in our case, we decided to host the wedding without a planner. This was a little daunting on our end, but the Regatta team quickly demonstrated that they would be there to support every aspect of planning -- from vendor selection and coordination to catering to decorations and more, Maggie was instrumental in keeping us on schedule and helping us execute (all while continually putting us at ease). However much or little you need the Regatta team, they will be there. In terms of the day of the wedding, Maggie, Kay, and team could not have been better. We never expected to say that our wedding day went off without a hitch -- but that's exactly what happened. The rehearsal, ceremony, and following reception all flowed seamlessly, on schedule, and without issue, and our guests repeatedly went out of their way to let us know personally how exceptional the dinner and drink service was -- including rave reviews for both the hors d'oeuvres and entrees. In sum, go with Regatta Place. The venue is beautiful, the team is superb, and your wedding day will be everything you're hoping for. We cannot recommend it enough!

I cannot say enough great things about Regatta Place. To start, the venue itself is stunning. I truly feel if we had zero other decorations brought in people would still tell us how stunning our wedding was. The food is delicious as well! What I truly cannot say enough about is how great the coordinators are! Maggie worked with us nearly a year planning our perfect day and answering all of our questions. She had everything we could have needed to make the day go perfectly. Kay, our day of coordinator made the day so stress free and enjoyable for my husband and I, even helping us secure something we did not think we could get. The staff is SO attentive and kind. The venue has everything you could want and more to make the day perfect!

The moment you walk into Regatta, you’ll be blown away by its magic. The views, the string lights, the beautiful boats, the curtains swaying in the breeze in the ceremony tent… it’s pure magic. But Susanne Maggie and Kay are the shining stars at Regatta Place and a huge differentiator. From Susanne touring us and showing us the amazing art of the possible, to Maggie helping us ensure every detail was accounted for during the planning process and that our dollars were maximized, to Kay being the calming presence I needed the day of… I can’t say enough about this sales and catering team! What sticks out most for me personally was - during cocktail hour my bridesmaids could not bustle my dress. I felt like I’d been standing in the bridal suite for an hour and was so sad to be missing cocktail hour… Kay appeared like a magic fairy sent to save the day and somehow bustled my dress in 2 seconds!!!! I knew this team was good. But this really blew my mind. I’m so grateful for these ladies and their entire team for making our day so perfect! Our dedicated server Kayley (spelling?) made sure we had food and bev available from the moment we walked out of our ceremony, the bartenders were speedy, dinner service was on time and amazing. Even if it’s a summer wedding: get the short rib. Just trust me. ;) A week later, our guests are still calling to tell me “THAT WAS THE BEST WEDDING WE’VE EVER BEEN TO! WOW!” which is such a good feeling to hear and I hope that makes the entire Regatta team smile because it was their hard work, experience, and kindness that made the day 10/10 perfection for everyone there! We cannot rave enough about Regatta Place. This was truly the most amazing wedding experience from beginning to end. Starting with Susanne, who helped us to fall in love with the beauty of the venue and make the choices that were right for us and our budget. Then working with Maggie, the catering director, who was just excellent. She was responsive, patient, and so kind, never making us feel rushed. But nothing compares to the magic of the wedding day itself-- WOW. We were so lucky to have Kay as our day of coordinator and Kayley as our personal server, and both of them went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. They gently checked in with us throughout the day and night to make sure we had food, drinks, and that everything was going smoothly. Kay even put my veil in for me. They took such good care of us, and their positivity, kindness, and hospitality is unmatched! It was such a magical day. It rained a little bit during the day, and we didn't even notice (that is until a rainbow came out over the sky). We can't recommend this venue enough! Every member of the staff is a gem. They really know what they're doing.

If you want the perfect wedding venue with an incredible and hardworking staff, Regatta Place is it. We initially worked with Gayle and signed our contract. Even viewing the venue in the winter we could tell just how special Regatta Place was. Gayle gave it to us straight and never made us feel pressured. She got us in contact with our florist (Secret Garden) and our DJ Joe (Sounds Buono) About 6 months out from our day we started to work with Maggie, and there are no words to say just how amazing she is! She calmed my nerves and answered every question I had (which was a lot). Every email was quickly answered with a ton of detail, I wish I had her in my daily life! Finally, we met Kay, our event manager the day of the wedding. She was incredible!!! She made my day perfect and I am forever grateful. I can’t say enough how special this venue and its people are. I’ve received so many compliments on my wedding (especially the views and food) and it’s honestly thanks to everyone at Regatta Place. They know how to put a bride at ease and make the day so seamless. My day even started out pouring rain, and then cleared up in time for our ceremony and reception. Kay and Maggie had my back the entire time! This is the most amazing place to get married and I would recommend it to anyone!

Regatta Place was the most perfectly beautiful venue for our wedding in July. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, the team of planners and event coordinators are exceptional. Maggie and Kay help make sure your day is flawless and are the kindest, easiest people to work with. I would recommend Regatta Place as well as their team to any person considering them for a wedding venue.

My husband and I got married on 6/28/2024 at this amazing venue and it was truly the best day. I cannot thank the staff enough for executing our now favorite day after 2 years of planning. Leading up to the day, Maggie was always a quick email for any random questions I had. She is responsive, always available, and a great source for vendor questions. At our final details meeting a few days before the big day, we met Kay, our event manager. She absolutely killed it! I gave her a vision board of my decor ideas and she delivered seamlessly. She helped me buckle my shoes when i accidentally ushered everyone out of the bridal suite. She made sure my husband and I sat down to eat (which we didn't think we were going to need to be reminded to do this but let me tell you.. you do!) & she made sure all of my guests (that were supposed to) made it on the bus at the end of the night. I would recommend this venue not only because of its one- of- kind dock/coastal vibes and its view of downtown Newport, but for their amazing attentive staff. They're so good at what they do!

Regatta Place is a one of a kind venue that provides exceptional service from start to finish! There aren’t enough words to describe how perfect our wedding was and this venue is. Our sales manager, Galen, suggested we tour Regatta and we fell in love with the beautiful seaside setting immediately, even in the middle of January! She was there after booking offering vendor suggestions and even on our wedding day offering best wishes. Maggie, the catering manager, was amazing throughout the planning process, always available answering any questions we had in a prompt manner. She guided us through our rehearsal, offering suggestions on ceremony/reception details we didn’t even think of. I was made to believe wedding planning was stressful but Maggie and her team made it so straightforward and easy! Kay our day of coordinator, has such an eye for detail, was so kind, and took the stress out of planning for the unknown of the day. Kayley was our event attendant and was so attentive the entire night taking care of myself, my husband, and our families. The entire waitstaff/valet team were incredibly friendly. All of our guests loved the incredible food (a rarity at weddings!), the kind staff, and the beautiful venue. We had the most AMAZING experience getting married at The Regatta Place! First Susanne Day is a pro, she made planning a wedding in 6 months a breeze for someone who isn't a planner! Maggie and Kay our day of coordinators were so professional. I upgraded to the white and gold package and HIGHLY recommend this, they made the venue stunning!! I had ZERO worries the day of my wedding which as a bride rarely happens, I was so confident in the Regatta team. I can not recommend Regatta Place enough our wedding was perfect and the Regatta Team went above and beyond!!

Getting married here was an absolute dream. Susanne Day, our Sales Manager, was easy to communicate with, always available to chat, and full of on-budget creative ideas. I was shocked when she told us we could get married at this location within our budget. Maggie Kane, the GM and Director of Catering, is amazing. Firstly, she is so unbelievably kind, and I want to be her friend in real life. Secondly, she is organized and knowledgeable. Maggie's relaxed energy and expertise made everything simple and stress-free. Our day and the days leading up to it were relaxed, easy, and fun. Kayley, our Event Manager, was our go-to on the day of the wedding and supported us during the days before. She was outstanding. Our wedding party was never left without a drink or a snack, and she effortlessly kept the events flowing as we transitioned from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception and to our water taxi departure. I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue. Our guests raved about the epic backdrop and delicious food. My only complaint is that the day went by too fast!

We had the most incredible wedding day at Regatta Place, it was an absolute dream!! We first fell in love with the venue during a tour with Susanne, and the space was even more beautiful than I could have imagined on the day and as it transitioned to night! Susanne was exceptional and provided us with all of the information we needed to make a decision on our venue, and continued to support us through the entire process. Maggie and her team were AMAZING, I could not speak more highly of them - Maggie was prompt to answer all of our questions, shared great recommendations that aligned with our vision for the day, and patiently reviewed all of the details thoroughly with us to make sure everything was in order (even things we did not know we needed to think about). We had the most stress-free wedding planning experience and our day went so smoothly, we could not be more grateful! My husband and I had our wedding at Regatta Place this past June and I don’t have a single regret or bad thing to say about this incredible wedding venue. Everything about Regatta Place is beautiful and makes for an unforgettable backdrop on your big day. But what really made this venue stand out to me was the staff. We originally worked with Susanne Day who toured us around the venue the day after a huge snowstorm. Even trudging through knee high snow drifts on the docks, I knew how beautiful this place would be on a sunny summer afternoon. Susanne was incredible to work with. As a budget conscious couple, the thing we appreciated more than anything was a complete breakdown of the cost of the wedding, including all the typically hidden fees like tax and gratuity. Good luck finding that transparency at another venue – I sure didn’t! She even walked us through all the places we could save a little money and worked with us to make sure we got everything we wanted in our budget. I’m still impressed that the final cost of our wedding was almost spot on with our initial estimate from Susanne. She also knows everything there is to know about Newport and had great suggestions to keep our guests happy for the whole weekend. We then worked with our day of planner, Maggie Kane. I truly don’t have enough amazing things to say about Maggie. Her professionalism and organization made the planning process incredibly easy, and her positive attitude was calming and reassuring to a very stressed-out bride. She is the absolute best at what she does, and I’m beyond grateful that we had the opportunity to work with her. Kay was our event manager and, with help from the incredible waitstaff, she made the whole day go smoothly. I’ve never seen someone work so hard in my life. She checked in with us no less than a hundred times to make sure we were eating and had drinks. But what really impressed me was all the behind-the-scenes stuff she took care of. I thought my favors would just get put out on a table with my seating chart. Nope – Kay used their own décor to make the whole display look beautiful. From the bottom of my heart – thank you Regatta Place for the absolute best experience. And if you’re reading this and have made it this far in this review – HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE!!

I had my wedding at Regatta Place on 9/28/23. It was the most perfect day at the most perfect venue. Regatta Place is an absolutely gorgeous waterfront setting to have a wedding and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you and your husband or wife to be have the most amazing day. Even throughout the entire planning process the staff was helpful and responsive. Whenever I would have questions or ideas all I would have to do is send a quick email and within a day I would receive a response. I feel as though I had a nearly stress free wedding planning experience and that was largely in part due to all the help and advice I received from the staff at Regatta Place. As for the actual wedding day my husband and I were assigned a personal severe to attend to our drink and food needs. I found this to be a huge perk. I have heard from so many friends who got married before I did that the bride and groom ever get to eat at their wedding because they are always too busy going around to guests and thanking them for coming. While my husband and I were very busy thanking our guests our server made sure we always had a drink or hors d’oeuvre in hand which was fabulous. Not to mention immediately after the ceremony our personal server was waiting for us at the end of isle with our drink of choice. I don’t remember our personal servers name but she was so sweet and beyond attentive. Not only were we well cared for as the bride and groom but our guests were well cared for as well. It’s been three months since our wedding and friends and family still tell me how much fun they had and how much they loved Regatta Place. I highly recommend this venue for brides and grooms to be. If I could go back in time I wouldn’t change a single thing about my wedding. It was perfect. I would like to give a special thanks to Maggie and Kay for making for bringing the vision of my wedding day to life and making everything run so smoothly the day of the wedding.

We had a wonderful experience working with Regatta Place and I can’t imagine a more special wedding venue for us! The Regatta team was incredibly helpful, responsive, and creative during our entire planning process, and we always felt like we were in great hands. They always provided thoughtful, detailed responses to our questions and they went above-and-beyond to help us create an experience that was unique to us. Even when it rained, Regatta had a great backup plan in place — and we and our guests were still able to enjoy the beautiful dockside and waterfront aspects of the venue. The service throughout our reception was incredible – and our guests raved about how friendly and attentive the Regatta team was. We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding and we are so grateful to Susanne, Maggie, Kay and the whole Regatta team for helping to make everything so lovely! 10/10 we’d work with Regatta again, and recommend them to a friend!

Regatta Place truly exceeded my expectations! All the staff were absolutely wonderful to work with, provided the best service, communicated well and were just overall so nice & easy to work with! They went above and beyond to make sure everything was special for our wedding day and you could see they truly cared about us and wanted everyone to have the best time. It was truly the best experience and they did so much to ensure everything ran smoothly which was so appreciated! I cannot recommend them enough!

Our wedding was at Regatta and it was fantastic. The staff was great and very attentive. Everything ran very smoothly. We even had a bit of rain mid-reception and the team at Regatta was quick with umbrellas and additional tents to make sure the guests were all covered. The location and views are perfect. In my opinion, nothing has a better setting for a wedding than Regatta.

Regatta Place is super organized, has the best vendor list for photographers, florists, bakers and is there to help you every step of the way! They made wedding planning a breeze and actually fun! They provide a timeline and the day of planner who helps guide you through the day! 10/10 would highly recommend!

Regatta Place was our dream venue. Getting married on the water was extremely important to me and my partner, so having the ceremony and reception on a dock was absolutely incredible. The ceremony area flows right into the cocktail hour area, and then right into the reception, making for a seamless guest experience. And while the location and amenities are of the highest caliber, that's actually only half of what makes Regatta Place so special. The staff, Maggie especially, are the kindest and hardest working event team I have ever encountered. Not only are they professionals in every sense of the word, but they are genuinely excited to make your vision come to life. They worked tirelessly with us to make sure every detail was accounted for and then made it all happen. If you're nervous about it raining, this venue is still perfect! We thought up until an hour before the ceremony that it would rain, and while it didn't, I felt confident that everything would be taken care of by the Regatta Place team if it had, which meant we didn't have to worry about it at all!

This review is written by the MOB. Regatta Place is a unique and gorgeous wedding venue. And ALL of its staff -- and I mean every single person -- is EXCEPTIONAL. If you are looking for a Newport wedding that is both unique and quintessentially Newport (that serves delicious food) look no further. Planning a destination wedding can be a daunting task but with Maggie and Kay on your team, you can sit back and not worry about one detail. They are an extraordinary duo. No detail was missed. Our guests were so impressed at how seamlessly everything came together. And throughout the cocktail hour and reception every staff member was lovely and on point. Some of the comments we received from various guests are : "Best wedding I have ever been to." "The service was impeccable." (we heard this one a lot) "We could not believe how delicious the food was." If I have the opportunity in the future, I will host another event at Regatta Place. My daughter and son-in-law are beyond delighted that they chose Regatta Place to host their wedding.

I would recommend the Regatta Place as a venue to anyone!! I can not say enough good things about the staff. From my first visit they were welcoming, professional and helpful. They were so great this ended up being the one venue I viewed!! I booked it right after. Throughout the planning the staff there was always willing to answer me or my mothers multiple calls. They offered advice and were very knowledgeable about everything weddings. The day of I did not have to worry about a THING! Everything was taken care of by the staff with such care and effort. My day was better than I ever could of imagined. They even packed up all of the decor we brought for us so we could enjoy the night without worrying about the stress of gathering our decor. They made this day so special for me and I am forever grateful!!!!

We were married at Regatta Place in July 2023. The staff was amazing and so helpful! Kay (the day of coordinator) checked in on me multiple times to be sure I was happy throughout the night which was so nice and made me feel at ease. Maggie was also amazing throughout the whole planning process. She made it fun and stress-free and paid attention to every detail! The location, food, drinks and ambiance was exactly what we wanted and just so beautiful! Our wedding guests also agreed. Regatta place is an absolute fabulous venue with staff who exceed all expectations. We were a destination wedding and needed a team to handle all details for us as we really didn’t have the capability to fly out to RI multiple times during the planning process. Kay the banquet manager/director and Maggie the catering manager/director took care of every tiny detail. We had some specific requests(slight menu changes, swapping out alcohol preferences, etc.) and the team at Regatta didn’t miss a single thing! I DIY-ed my flowers and needed someone to set up the centerpieces and ceremony flowers for me, I had hair/makeup on the morning of the wedding, Kay ensured my vision came to life setting up the bud vases, table runners and ceremony pieces. Kay bustled my dress, coordinated everything with our vendors and was so kid and friendly the entire day. Leading up to the day of the wedding Maggie tracked every detail and maintained constant quick communication with us, answering all of our questions clearly and concisely. On the day of the wedding Kayley our personal server was so friendly and quick, we never had an empty drink or plate. Although we didn’t meet this team I want to shout out the grounds/facilities team who keep Regatta looking so beautiful. We literally had zero complaints about our day!

Regatta Place was an amazing wedding venue! The venue is stunning and we received so many compliments from our family and friends about the views, as well as the food. After touring several venues, we knew right away that Regatta was the place for us! We first met with Susanne who was so communicative. Even after booking the venue, she continued answering all sorts of questions we emailed her about. She also sent us a really nice text in the days leading up to our wedding to wish us a happy wedding week! As our wedding day got closer, we worked with Maggie and on our wedding day we worked with Kay. Both Maggie and Kay had super calm demeanors and made sure every detail was taken care of. Kay made sure that we constantly had everything we needed throughout our wedding day reception! We absolutely loved Regatta Place and would highly recommend it to anyone!

We recently had our wedding at Regatta Place and the experience was amazing. From the moment we toured the venue with Kate we knew Regatta Place was the one for us. We worked with Maggie to organize the day and she was absolutely wonderful. Maggie was very responsive to our emails and executed our wedding perfectly. Kay was also very helpful the day of and all of the guests stated that it was the most well-organized wedding that they had ever been to. My husband and I really appreciated the staff’s attentiveness to us the day of, with all our needs being met without us even having to ask! Regatta place was not only wonderful to work with during the wedding planning process, but also made us feel like a king and queen on our wedding day! They were so attentive and made us feel so special. Susanne and Maggie were both very communicative throughout our 22 month engagement and helped us so much with all of our questions. My experience with Regatta Place was seamless from beginning to end. Their entire staff was so involved and communicative throughout my almost 2 year engagement. Maggie was the best of the best, I felt like I had hired a wedding coordinator with her by our side through the whole process. She truly planned out every little detail and calmed all my nerves and anxiety for the big day. The catering was also amazing and we loved every appetizer we tried and entrees for meal picks. I can’t say enough about Regatta, it was the wedding of my dreams :)

We had the wedding of our dreams at Regatta Place. So many of our family and friends said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. From the moment we toured with Susanne, we knew this was the perfect venue for us. The team at regatta place was so communicative from the beginning. They were very clear on the timeline of the planning process and the planning document they provide really helped us to navigate the planning process in finding all of our vendors and creating a timeline for what to complete and when. Maggie and Kay were both fantastic. Maggie was so quick to answer any questions we had and was instrumental in all of the details coming to life. Kay was a perfect point of contact throughout the day and made sure everything went off without a hitch. She even helped bustle my dress when we couldn’t figure it out. All of the food was amazing, we got so many compliments on everything. Our personalized server Shelby was extremely attentive to us and even wrapped our entrees to pick up the next day as we had such little time to eat. Newport is such a special place to us and the view of the harbor and downtown is absolutely spectacular from regatta place. It was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Look no further then Regatta Place for spectacular views, the best team, and an amazing venue! As a couple looking specifically for an all outdoor venue (partly due to covid concerns), Regatta Place checked off all the boxes and more! From working with Galen who helped us secure our date and made the impossible possible, to Maggie who worked tirelessly leading up to our wedding to make sure we were on track and answered every question with patience and grace, to Jenny who led the day-of team and kept everything on schedule, fun, and just was amazing. The whole staff team was on point - for a June wedding, it was in the 60s and so they had heaters going to help keep our guests warm and comfortable. During cocktail hour, it started to drizzle and so they opened up the reception tent a little earlier to help keep everyone dry, and then when the floor got hot, they opened enough of the tent flaps to keep everyone cool. I heard from guests who helpful and gracious everyone was and it was the best knowing the venue we picked delivered world class service. And don't even get me started on the food... it was delicious! We still have friends reminiscing about the mushroom risotto and other dishes. The tasting prior to the wedding was seamless and they accommodated us with a member of our party being immunocompromised and sat us in a separate room from the rest of the event. If I had to have my wedding all over again, I would absolutely still pick Regatta Place as my venue, it was a dream. Thank you, thank you to everyone who helped make our dream wedding come to life!!

If you are in search of a venue with a relaxed feel delivering a high end experience, look no further than Regatta Place. The Regatta Place team helped transform our wedding into the best day of our lives and we HIGHLY recommend this venue. While we toured and booked with Galen, my mom, husband and I primarily worked with Maggie Kane and boy were we lucky! Maggie was extremely down to earth, cheerful, and took her time explaining the way the venue operated. She was incredibly patient with us, very responsive to all of our many emails and organized with information. I work as a wedding planner for a venue just outside of Boston, and Maggie consistently made me feel 'heard' and helped translate my vision into a reality with the assistance of Kay, our incredible day of Event Manager. Immediately as we stepped off the trolley, from the hotel, Maggie and Kay were there to greet us and quickly assist with an emergency (after a groomsman fell and broke his leg getting off the trolley). Maggie and Kay calmly called 911, with the calmest of demeanors. This was a situation that really could have ruined the day, but the Regatta Place team took care of everything allowing my husband and I to still enjoy photos and start our ceremony right on time. This treatment extended to our guests and they could not believe how kind and attentive the Regatta Place staff were to them. The food was delicious (don't miss out on the raw bar and late night bites)! Before introductions, we had a beautiful spread of hors d'Oeuvres in the spacious wedding suite. The view of the Newport from the dock was breathtaking and many of our guests spent most of their time out there. And the sunset ... EPIC! We extended our reception by 30 minutes and we had so much time on the dance floor. At the conclusion of the reception we moved over the The Marina Pub and enjoyed a late night party with sliders, pizza and fries. Our guests devoured everything!! We are so grateful and appreciative of Maggie, Kay and Kaitlin (our personal 'captain' server), and the rest of the Regatta Place staff because they helped us and our guests feel so special. Our wedding was last weekend, and I don't even know where to begin!!! If you are looking for an elegant coastal Newport wedding, Regatta Place NEEDS to be at the top of your search list (and truly the search does not need to go further). Susanne Day went out of her way to show us all that Regatta offered, and remained a constant support with excitement throughout the whole process!!! Maggie Kane will go above and beyond on EVERY detail!! I emailed with her all the time and she made every detail and dream come to life! Our ceremony dock looked like a bride and groom's coastal vision with a full floral arbor, white sails and garden chairs, greenery on the chandeliers, and a stunning ivory runner. The Narragansett Bay is your breathtaking view on all angles of the venue! The reception room is out of this world!! We had stunning flowers, twinkle lights, a flower wall, custom signage: a warm dream space that the staff makes look like a bridal vision out of a magazine! Kay was my right hand ALL DAY!!!! She never left my side and made sure everything was perfect!!!!! Caitlyn was our private server: she followed my husband and I all night with apps, food, drinks. We were OBSESSED with her by the end of the night!! We would turn around, and she would have a drink ready for us!! Unlike anything we had ever seen!!! The food is by far the BEST wedding food you'll ever taste: scallops in bacon, coconut shrimp, crab rangoons, and most importantly, the Short Rib entree!! The portions and taste were something our guests raved about!! The bridal suite has an antique mirror that is a bride's dream to put her dress on in front of. The room has a safe for valuables, overlooks the water, and is so spacious for the whole bridal party! The venue made sure my bridesmaids had a cheese board, food, and drinks the whole time we were getting ready! The Newport Experience is out of this world: from planning, to details, to vision, to food, to the flow of the day! They are a well-oiled machine!!! I can't say enough about them! Regatta Place brought our dream wedding to life, and we are so blessed to have the most incredible memories from what was the best day of my life!! And the staff will now be lifelong friends! If you are a couple looking for your dream coastal wedding, Regatta Place will give you that and more. I want to add: it rained on our wedding day! If you are afraid of having a waterfront wedding due to the possibility of the rain, don't be!!! Regatta is a well-oiled machine that makes everything look and run PERFECT rain or shine! They helped to ease my mind once we realized rain was inevitable. We got our photos and ceremony done rain free, but the clear sides were available and ready if needed! And once we were in the reception space, you have a beautiful waterfront view and are dry the whole time. Regatta had a cover over the bar that they use in the summer to aide with the sun, that was perfect for guests to be on the terrace or in the reception room during cocktail hour. From a bride that panicked when rain became a possibility: please don't! Your day will be STUNNING and PERFECT thanks to the staff and beauty of Regatta! My husband and I are obsessed and can't thank them enough for our most perfect day!!!

This venue was an absolute dream. We had our September wedding here and we could not have been more pleased with the entire experience Regatta Place had to offer. From the moment we walked through the doors for the first tour and meeting, I knew that OceanCliff had something special about it. Susanne was the most amazing guide throughout our visit, helping us to discover and lock in an unbelieve price, and sending us over to the bar for a complimentary drink. As we sipped our cocktails out by the ocean, I knew that OceanCliff was where I wanted to get married. After securing our date of May 8th, 2022, the entire staff really made the process very low stress. We worked with several different employees throughout the following months, each of whom was a joy! Individual accommodations were tailored to us to match our dream wedding, and it felt truly magical to be involved with this crew at this breathtaking location. Looking back, I’d almost think it was a fairytale. Come the day of the wedding, every single aspect ran perfectly from our perspective. Tears of happiness were continually flowing and the amount of love in that room could be felt from across the bridge. Our banquet manager, Stephen, catering manager, Alison, and our captain, Ray, were exceptional and I honestly could never thank them enough for everything they’ve done to ensure our wedding day was the best day of our lives. Thanks to the entire staff, with their unmatched service, dedication and pride to their workplace, and immaculate attention to detail, May 8th, 2022 was undoubtedly the most incredible day to be experienced. I can’t imagine all the work that happens behind the scenes, but to us, the guests, and the wedding party, it all looked effortless. There was one small mix up with one of our chosen dinner entrees, but everyone still raved about the food and the manager generously compensated us for the mistake. Regardless, OceanCliff now holds a special place in our hearts and has given us memories that will last a lifetime! I absolutely recommend hosting your wedding or event at OceanCliff, or any of their other properties, for an unforgettable Newport Experience.

We simply cannot rave enough about how incredible our experience was with Regatta Place! The venue is stunning and unique, and fit our vision for our wedding perfectly. From the minute we visited the venue, we received the most amazing service and support from the staff. Susanne talked us through the ins and outs of our contract, and never hesitated to answer any questions we had. She even spent time on her day off helping us find new hotel block options when our hotel burned down! Maggie, director of catering, was so organized and efficient, and helped us plan the day to perfection! The food was simply INCREDIBLE, and the wait staff were so friendly and helpful. Kay, our day-of coordinator, kept us on time, calm, and fed throughout the entire day! From helping me bustle my gown to tying my shoelaces when I switched to sneakers, she was always there at just the right time to lend a helping hand! Our wedding day was absolute perfection, and it was in large part due to the staff at Regatta Place! I keep telling my husband we should plan another wedding just so that we can work with them again!

What can we say? From the first inquiry and through the big day, Regatta Place was a well-oiled machine, but in the best ways possible. We were planning our wedding from 3000 miles and three time zones away, which was a huge challenge. Working with the Regatta team made the process so much better! We had lots of questions about logistics, set up, décor, the meals, the alcohol, staffing, how they handle different types of weather (you are in a tent by the ocean after all), how they handled pandemic restrictions, ideas on how to make the event unique and “us”, and they entertained them all. They were real and honest about how to approach the budgeting – where it paid to spend or save, tailoring their services to our budget. We had looked at many venues, not just Newport, but all over New England, and Regatta included ‘more’ than most other places. There weren’t a lot of add-ons, extra rentals or hidden fees, and still lots of room for event and menu customization. They made suggestions of vendors they had worked with successfully in the past but also other folks in the Newport area that had good reputation. They did it all without a hard sell, which is rare. Through continual communication and well-timed meetings, all the details were worked out in advance. When it was event day, we were all on the same page with what to expect. The funny thing is everyone we talked to in Newport said without hesitation ‘Oh, Regatta Place, they’re the best”. From conversations with Susanne in sales, to prep meetings with Maggie, the day of with Kay and Jenny, all the waiters, bar staff, parking attendants, etc., our family and friends raved about the staff, and how friendly and attentive everyone was. When they say to us “Your wedding was THE BEST!”, we have the Regatta crew to thank for turning a dream into reality. We booked Regatta sight unseen, which was a scary proposition for one of the biggest events in your life. Everyone was approachable, reassuring, and in the end, our wedding day went off close to perfect. We can’t thank them enough!

Amazing venue, our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about it and they made everything so easy for us… I didn’t have to worry about hiring a ton of vendors. Just our photography, flowers (with such a beautiful venue I needed so few) and band! Everything else was provided by regatta place!

Regatta Place is the perfect place to host your coastal wedding. The staff are amazing and its obvious the communication between all team members is very good as everyone was aware of the details for our day. The wedding team is available in a timely manner when ever questions arise and they are able to make your vision come alive with such expertise.

The entire staff at Regatta Place helped make the wedding planning, and my wedding day so stress free and perfect! Living in Oklahoma, they made the entire process so easy and fun. Many of our guests commented on how smooth everything went, from the wedding ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception. We got married in June and had the most incredible day! Everything from start to finish with Regatta Place was amazing. We had our ceremony and reception there, and having two distinct tents was great, the ceremony location is truly beautiful and different. Maggie was phenomenal, so helpful, answering all our questions, responding to emails quickly and helping guide us through every detail leading up the wedding day, and both her and Jenny were so helpful on the actual day. The staff really thinks of everything and are so accommodating, which really makes the day go smoothly. We got so many compliments from our guests about how unique the venue is, how delicious the food was and how kind the staff was. We have the best memories and are so happy we chose this as our venue.

There aren't enough stars in the world for this venue!!! I mean seriously... From start to finish, everything was INCREDIBLE. Simple and straight forward contract, no hidden caveats, and an ALL INCLUSIVE venue with two mega yachts docked beside you...What more can you ask for? But the real stars of the this venue are Maggie and Jen. Maggie and Jen planned our dream day and brought our vision to life... They accommodated every request (bizarre or not) we made and made sure their entire team was on board. They were the MVPs in helping when my dress zipper broke, getting my dad down the aisle, and skipping the espresso/bar line ;). Maggie is SO knowledgable and amazing at what she does... She gave the best advice at our details meetings and thanks to her, our timeline was perfect. The food and RP servers are 10/10... Everything was quick, hot and honestly the largest portions I've ever seen for wedding food! It was the perfect day and I know it was in LARGE part thanks to Regatta Place. Don't question yourself and book this amazing and unique venue... You won't regret it!

From the start, my husband and I knew Regatta Place was the location we wanted to say our “I do’s”. They were professional, never pushed us to make a decision, and made us feel at home. Throughout the (stressful) planning process, they made our lives easier with their organization, punctual responses, and assistance. Our wedding day, 6/25/22, was when they truly blew us out of the water. The gem of the day was not the multi-million dollar yacht parked next to the dock, but Maggie and Kay. Maggie and Kay were superheroes. They had EVERYTHING under control, and executed my vision to a tee. They could not have been more thoughtful, kind, and professional the whole day. I recommend this venue to everyone looking for a unique location that will blow your guests away. Everyone loved the food, too! I can’t say enough good things about Regatta Place, and we are so thankful we chose them.

Where do I even begin. It’s the most gorgeous venue ever for starters! But the staff was INCREDIBLE. From the moment we booked until the day after the wedding, they were literally there to help EVERY step of the way. They were so responsive, patient, FRIENDLY, and just a joy to work with. We could not have picked a better venue for our perfect day. Susanne, Maggie, Kay, Kassie- you guys are incredible! They made sure we were taken care of every second of the wedding as well. Maggie and her team were amazing from start to finish. We booked Regatta Place for our ceremony and reception in 2019. Due to Covid, we had to postpone to 2022. With that said, Maggie was responsive and an absolute dream to work with throughout the long wait. On the day, Maggie and Jenny totally exceeded our expectations. We knew we had our heart set on getting married in Newport and ideally on the water. When we first started looking at venues, we called all the well-known places including Ocean Cliff. I had a conversation with Susanne Day and she introduced us to Regatta Place – a hidden gem with everything we wanted for our special day. I am so thankful that Susanne shared this option with us as it turned out to be the perfect fit. When we visited Regatta, I knew it was “the one.” I literally fell in love. It was casual, yet elegant. It was private, yet in the middle of a working marina. Susanne was supportive, professional and never made me feel pressured. She felt more like a friend giving advice through the initial process of booking a venue. We were so fortunate to find days in September considering we were planning a wedding in the middle of pandemic where so many couples were rescheduling. Everything truly worked out perfectly and it continued on our wedding day. The planning process with Regatta was SO easy. The team at Regatta was always so responsive and knowledgeable of the wedding industry. We really are thankful for their guidance, especially when we weren’t sure how things would pan out with the pandemic. In addition, we are not from Newport so we heavily relied on their suggestions for vendors. Our wedding day was pure bliss. There were no hiccups whatsoever. I relive the day often in my mind. Our day-of team was AMAZING! I had read reviews prior where previous couples raved about Maggie Kane. When we found out we would be working with her, we were ecstatic. She truly made sure we as a couple were not stressed on the wedding day. She and her team took care of everything. This review honestly isn’t a fair assessment of the role Maggie and her team played in our planning and wedding day. We are blessed to have met the team at Regatta. Now let’s talk about food – OMG our guests raved about all the apps and main courses. During our tasting, we had such a hard time narrowing down our choices. The kitchen was super flexible to create a menu that encompassed everything that was important to us. Everything was absolutely delicious! If you’re considering Regatta, don’t hesitate. This is one of the best venues in Newport. Pictures simply don’t do it justice. It is a picturesque venue with unbelievable views, amazing food and a great team.

We immediately fell in love with Regatta Place the moment we stepped onto the property! Susanne, Maggie, and the entire staff were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and encouraging when planning our wedding which took place on October 3, 2020. We never had to reschedule from the original date we had chosen due to the pandemic. Our outdoor ceremony took place on the marina dock there, which was gorgeous and peaceful; passing vessels waved their congratulations! The food catered by Regatta Place was exceptional, and everything went according to plan as far as timeline and expectations. It really was the best day ever for us, and we couldn't recommend this wonderful venue and team more!

My husband and I had our wedding on 10/10/21 here at the regatta place. It was the most magical day of our live. I felt like I was living a true fairytale! From the service (thank you so much Maggie, Kay, and Caitlin) to the delicious food, to the stunning view and amazing atmosphere, everything was just so perfect. I wish I could do it over again!!!!

We had the wedding of our dreams at Regatta Place. I'm not sure we can put into words how incredibly grateful we are for all that Maggie and Jenny did to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. They are truly amazing.  They think of every last detail, and are a calm, easy, and flexible presence throughout the whole process and the wedding day. Jenny and Maggie are "on it" from beginning to end. On our wedding day, the staff was so attentive and friendly to our families and guests. They have seemingly endless patience! Maggie and Jenny took every last-minute change in stride (and kept us calm about them!). We can't think of a single thing we wish would have gone differently - it was everything we ever dreamed of and more. The most amazing venue, an incredible team, delicious food, and views that can’t be beat- we are eternally grateful.

Our wedding at Regatta Place exceeded all expectations! From the very start, Susanne was so warm and welcoming which was much appreciated in the stressful world of wedding planning.
