Regatta Place

The entire Regatta Place team is incredible! Our experience, from inquiring to planing/prep, to the day-of, was seamless and enjoyable. The team worked with us on our plans, many of which were unconventional, so that they all went off without a hitch. As a bride, it was important to me to truly be present and enjoy the evening. Maggie, Kay, and the entire team made that possible by having every detail (and more) covered inside and out. They worked seamlessly with the few outside vendors we had, and we did not have to sweat anything day-of. The food throughout the evening was fabulous! We had a few guests with tricky dietary restrictions and it was no trouble at all to ensure they were set for each portion of the evening, from the bar to cocktail hour to dinner and dessert. Finally, the setting and venue itself are truly stunning. We held our ceremony and cocktail hour aboard the Schooner Aurora and the reception at Regatta Place. Sailing back to the dock to see the twinkling lights under the tent in the “blue hour” just after sunset was magical. We did almost no decor because the decor they have is beautiful on its own! Celebrating with your friends and family in the heart of Newport Harbor, surrounded by the water and beautiful boats, is magical. If you have the chance to work with this team you should take it! We would do it all over again if we could, and highly recommend Regatta Place and all of the Newport Experience team and venues. Thank you, Maggie, Kay, and team!!

Words cannot describe how absolutely amazing the team at The Regatta are! They make you feel like your wedding is the only one that matters - even during a busy wedding season. Susanne, Maggie, Kay and Kat are a phenomenal team. No detail was left out, no task was too hard to do. We could not imagine having a better venue or team for our wedding. The views were gorgeous, the reception space was so elegant and inviting. We truly appreciated being able to make our space unique and our own. And, they worked so well with all of our vendors, even accommodated our Uhaul-worth of event items!! Hahaha.. thank you thank you thank you..

Regatta, Maggie, Kayley, and the whole staff deserve the highest praise! I cannot recommend Regatta Place more. The venue speaks for itself - gorgeous and uniquely located in Newport. We live here, and many of our guests also live on Aquidneck Island. Several of them commented on how cool it is to see the city from this point of view - an angle we don't really get anywhere else - and to watch the boats pass by in the harbor. It also was more than comfortable for our 150 guests. Plenty of space in the tent and on the dance floor. The Regatta staff, Maggie, and Kayley were incredible to work with - both had such calming presences. Maggie was kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable from day one. As we worked with her to plan the day, she was helpful in areas we hadn't even thought of, and made sure we could add several unique and special touches to our day (even something that may seem simple - like easily just switching out a beer option to add Whaler's Rise, a beer we both love and know many of our guests love, meant so much). She was always available for questions leading up to the day, and several bridesmaids commented on how great she was at rehearsal and ceremony time - even when it was "go time" she was super calm and nothing felt too rushed or too "serious" - the exact vibe we wanted to curate! Keep the day moving, but keep things light and fun. Kayley is truly an unsung heroine - everything from helping us unload and store items, to making sure we all have what we need, to making pivots as the weather changed through the day, to helping hold a bouquet or bustle my dress - she was there. Both of our families spoke so highly of her. On wedding day (and since), several guests asked if I was nervous walking down the aisle and I was not at all! Kayley waited around the corner with my parents and I and kept conversation casual -- I think if we stood there with our thoughts we all could've gotten nervous, but Kayley kept our minds occupied! It really is the little things that add up. The whole staff is SO attentive, we were always taken care of and we really appreciated having food and drinks ready for us in the suite and getting checked on! They also took our decor and crushed it! It was so nice to not have to even think about the space - they set it up so lovely, also to know that the staff is a well-oiled machine! They know how to handle weather and were able to move some of the tables and signage around as the night went on and things stayed dry. I could go on and on!! We are so grateful and I wish we could relive our wedding at Regatta every weekend - I would 1000% recommend.

We recently got married at The Regatta Place June 2025, and it was truly everything we dreamed of—and more. From the moment we reached out, Susanne made us feel at ease. We only had about seven months to plan, and her positivity, guidance, and encouragement played a major role in helping us decide to move forward. She was simply incredible. Maggie was amazing throughout the entire planning process—walking us through every detail, especially food and beverage, to ensure our event was flawless. Her attention to detail and responsiveness made all the difference. On the day of, Kay was a total star. She ran the show seamlessly and made the entire morning stress-free. She didn’t miss a beat, and thanks to her, the day flowed perfectly. The entire staff at The Regatta Place was phenomenal. Multiple guests commented on how friendly, professional, and on top of things everyone was. The service was top-notch and made the evening unforgettable. And the food—people are still talking about it. It was absolutely delicious and a highlight of the night, which meant so much to us. We really wanted a great culinary experience for our guests, and they nailed it. Finally, the view. The setting is breathtaking—something truly special that elevated the whole experience. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. The Regatta Place made the process so easy and brought our vision to life. If you’re considering Regatta Place for your wedding, just know: you’ve hit the jackpot!

I had my wedding at Regatta Place back in September this year and I cannot say enough great things about this venue. I always wanted a waterfront wedding and looked at many places in New England, but kept coming back to Regatta Place. Not only was it literally on the water but it was such a unique location with the most gorgeous views of the Newport Harbor and downtown. The staff was absolutely amazing through the whole process. Living abroad and planning a wedding stateside was not the easiest, but Maggie was always there to answer my million emails. Kay on the day of made sure everything ran smoothly and made us feel so special. Our personal server was also amazing and made sure we were constantly fed and hydrated and would always check in with us to make sure we were enjoying the evening and that everything was going the way we liked. I highly recommend Regatta Place!

Regatta Place is incredible! Such a unique venue, with beautiful harborside views. A great backdrop for photos, and such a memorable place. Maggie, the General Manager, is so easy to work with, and such a professional. She is extremely organized, and was flexible with our budget and vision. Kay, our day of coordinator, was on top of the schedule and everything went without a hitch, and right on time. The dinner service was quick and delicious, and Legends of Summer put on the a phenomenal set. It was certainly the best night of my life, and I could not recommend this place more if you want to have the party of the year.

My husband and I got married at the Regatta Place this summer in June and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. The entire staff was so attentive, detailed, and supportive throughout the planning process and especially on our big day. I would highly recommend the Regatta Place, it has beautiful views, very good food, and wonderful staff and coordinators. My husband and I are so happy we chose this venue for our wedding.

We got married at Regatta Place on October 19 and are still on cloud 9. Our experience with the Regatta team was fantastic from day 1. Maggie helped us navigate all our options - from vendors to food options. The day of our wedding was pure bliss - Maggie, Kay and the team constantly checked in on us, made sure we ate and always had a drink in hand. I can’t recommend this venue and their team enough. A sincere thank you for making our day so special and memorable.

Regatta place was nothing short of amazing. From meeting Susanne almost two years ago, working the details through with Maggie and having the pleasure to work with Kay the day of, I was truly blown away. Not only is the location, views, and atmosphere stunning but the food was amazing! The seafood was so fresh and things were served warm to taste. The displays were absolutely gorgeous and guests seemed to notice nothing was left bare or unsightly. Despite the rain, the Regatta staff did everything they could to ensure it was perfect. Having several umbrellas, keeping the floors dry, and truly staying on top of every detail. We wish we could go back and relive this day. A special shout out to Kay, who was absolutely wonderful! One moment that stuck out to me particularly is when the bustle on my dress came off and I pulled a bridesmaid to help, Kay saw, and immediately came over to help reinforce the dress. She grabbed safety pins and was on the wet floor pinning my dress up for me. Her attentiveness and willing to help was exceptional. Emily, our personal server, was also fantastic and kept us well fed and always had a fresh drink in our hands without hesitation! I could not recommend this venue enough if you’re looking to get married in Rhode Island!

Regatta Place was an exceptional vendor to work with. Maggie and Kay were the perfect team, they truly went above and beyond to make my wedding day spectacular. This venue is unreal, cannot recommend it enough.

An absolutely perfect wedding. I cannot say enough great things about the Regatta Place and the staff. Things ran like clockwork. We forgot my reception outfit and they had staff go get it so no family would have to miss the ceremony. There was on and off rain during our reception and staff quickly adjusted the tent and umbrellas appeared out of nowhere. Maggie and Kay- I have no words, they are superb. Get married here, you will not regret it.

Regatta Place was a phenomenal venue to host our wedding. The outdoor, waterfront spaces were perfect for Newport. We loved the mix of formal event space for the reception, as well as the more casual outdoor areas for use from cocktail hour through the rest of the night. The staff was easy to work with and wonderfully attentive through our night. Maggie, the GM and catering director, was great to work with and helped to ensure every detail of our day went smoothly.

If you are considering having you wedding at Regatta Place -- do it. It's hard to overstate how fantastic the venue and team were in making our wedding as memorable as it was. From the outset, Maggie, Kay, Amanda, and others made clear that they were invested in delivering the wedding experience that we wanted, without selling us on anything that didn't fit with our budget or plan. We had complete freedom to dress up the space we want and incorporate the elements we wanted, all in the beautiful backdrop that is Newport Harbor. It is probably worth mentioning that, in our case, we decided to host the wedding without a planner. This was a little daunting on our end, but the Regatta team quickly demonstrated that they would be there to support every aspect of planning -- from vendor selection and coordination to catering to decorations and more, Maggie was instrumental in keeping us on schedule and helping us execute (all while continually putting us at ease). However much or little you need the Regatta team, they will be there. In terms of the day of the wedding, Maggie, Kay, and team could not have been better. We never expected to say that our wedding day went off without a hitch -- but that's exactly what happened. The rehearsal, ceremony, and following reception all flowed seamlessly, on schedule, and without issue, and our guests repeatedly went out of their way to let us know personally how exceptional the dinner and drink service was -- including rave reviews for both the hors d'oeuvres and entrees. In sum, go with Regatta Place. The venue is beautiful, the team is superb, and your wedding day will be everything you're hoping for. We cannot recommend it enough!

I cannot say enough great things about Regatta Place. To start, the venue itself is stunning. I truly feel if we had zero other decorations brought in people would still tell us how stunning our wedding was. The food is delicious as well! What I truly cannot say enough about is how great the coordinators are! Maggie worked with us nearly a year planning our perfect day and answering all of our questions. She had everything we could have needed to make the day go perfectly. Kay, our day of coordinator made the day so stress free and enjoyable for my husband and I, even helping us secure something we did not think we could get. The staff is SO attentive and kind. The venue has everything you could want and more to make the day perfect!

We cannot rave enough about Regatta Place. This was truly the most amazing wedding experience from beginning to end. Starting with Susanne, who helped us to fall in love with the beauty of the venue and make the choices that were right for us and our budget. Then working with Maggie, the catering director, who was just excellent. She was responsive, patient, and so kind, never making us feel rushed. But nothing compares to the magic of the wedding day itself-- WOW. We were so lucky to have Kay as our day of coordinator and Kayley as our personal server, and both of them went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. They gently checked in with us throughout the day and night to make sure we had food, drinks, and that everything was going smoothly. Kay even put my veil in for me. They took such good care of us, and their positivity, kindness, and hospitality is unmatched! It was such a magical day. It rained a little bit during the day, and we didn't even notice (that is until a rainbow came out over the sky). We can't recommend this venue enough! Every member of the staff is a gem. They really know what they're doing.

If you want the perfect wedding venue with an incredible and hardworking staff, Regatta Place is it. We initially worked with Gayle and signed our contract. Even viewing the venue in the winter we could tell just how special Regatta Place was. Gayle gave it to us straight and never made us feel pressured. She got us in contact with our florist (Secret Garden) and our DJ Joe (Sounds Buono) About 6 months out from our day we started to work with Maggie, and there are no words to say just how amazing she is! She calmed my nerves and answered every question I had (which was a lot). Every email was quickly answered with a ton of detail, I wish I had her in my daily life! Finally, we met Kay, our event manager the day of the wedding. She was incredible!!! She made my day perfect and I am forever grateful. I can’t say enough how special this venue and its people are. I’ve received so many compliments on my wedding (especially the views and food) and it’s honestly thanks to everyone at Regatta Place. They know how to put a bride at ease and make the day so seamless. My day even started out pouring rain, and then cleared up in time for our ceremony and reception. Kay and Maggie had my back the entire time! This is the most amazing place to get married and I would recommend it to anyone!

Regatta Place was the most perfectly beautiful venue for our wedding in July. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, the team of planners and event coordinators are exceptional. Maggie and Kay help make sure your day is flawless and are the kindest, easiest people to work with. I would recommend Regatta Place as well as their team to any person considering them for a wedding venue.

My husband and I got married on 6/28/2024 at this amazing venue and it was truly the best day. I cannot thank the staff enough for executing our now favorite day after 2 years of planning. Leading up to the day, Maggie was always a quick email for any random questions I had. She is responsive, always available, and a great source for vendor questions. At our final details meeting a few days before the big day, we met Kay, our event manager. She absolutely killed it! I gave her a vision board of my decor ideas and she delivered seamlessly. She helped me buckle my shoes when i accidentally ushered everyone out of the bridal suite. She made sure my husband and I sat down to eat (which we didn't think we were going to need to be reminded to do this but let me tell you.. you do!) & she made sure all of my guests (that were supposed to) made it on the bus at the end of the night. I would recommend this venue not only because of its one- of- kind dock/coastal vibes and its view of downtown Newport, but for their amazing attentive staff. They're so good at what they do!

Regatta Place is the most spectacular venue, with the most amazing staff. We had the pleasure of working with Maggie and Kay, along with many more, who made our wedding day unforgettable, and easily the best day of our lives. I cannot recommend this venue and these wonderful people enough. We are truly so grateful for everyone who made our vision come to live. Newport and Regatta Place will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Regatta Place is a one of a kind venue that provides exceptional service from start to finish! There aren’t enough words to describe how perfect our wedding was and this venue is. Our sales manager, Galen, suggested we tour Regatta and we fell in love with the beautiful seaside setting immediately, even in the middle of January! She was there after booking offering vendor suggestions and even on our wedding day offering best wishes. Maggie, the catering manager, was amazing throughout the planning process, always available answering any questions we had in a prompt manner. She guided us through our rehearsal, offering suggestions on ceremony/reception details we didn’t even think of. I was made to believe wedding planning was stressful but Maggie and her team made it so straightforward and easy! Kay our day of coordinator, has such an eye for detail, was so kind, and took the stress out of planning for the unknown of the day. Kayley was our event attendant and was so attentive the entire night taking care of myself, my husband, and our families. The entire waitstaff/valet team were incredibly friendly. All of our guests loved the incredible food (a rarity at weddings!), the kind staff, and the beautiful venue. We had the most AMAZING experience getting married at The Regatta Place! First Susanne Day is a pro, she made planning a wedding in 6 months a breeze for someone who isn't a planner! Maggie and Kay our day of coordinators were so professional. I upgraded to the white and gold package and HIGHLY recommend this, they made the venue stunning!! I had ZERO worries the day of my wedding which as a bride rarely happens, I was so confident in the Regatta team. I can not recommend Regatta Place enough our wedding was perfect and the Regatta Team went above and beyond!!

We had a wonderful experience working with Regatta Place and I can’t imagine a more special wedding venue for us! The Regatta team was incredibly helpful, responsive, and creative during our entire planning process, and we always felt like we were in great hands. They always provided thoughtful, detailed responses to our questions and they went above-and-beyond to help us create an experience that was unique to us. Even when it rained, Regatta had a great backup plan in place — and we and our guests were still able to enjoy the beautiful dockside and waterfront aspects of the venue. The service throughout our reception was incredible – and our guests raved about how friendly and attentive the Regatta team was. We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding and we are so grateful to Susanne, Maggie, Kay and the whole Regatta team for helping to make everything so lovely! 10/10 we’d work with Regatta again, and recommend them to a friend!

Regatta Place truly exceeded my expectations! All the staff were absolutely wonderful to work with, provided the best service, communicated well and were just overall so nice & easy to work with! They went above and beyond to make sure everything was special for our wedding day and you could see they truly cared about us and wanted everyone to have the best time. It was truly the best experience and they did so much to ensure everything ran smoothly which was so appreciated! I cannot recommend them enough!

Our wedding was at Regatta and it was fantastic. The staff was great and very attentive. Everything ran very smoothly. We even had a bit of rain mid-reception and the team at Regatta was quick with umbrellas and additional tents to make sure the guests were all covered. The location and views are perfect. In my opinion, nothing has a better setting for a wedding than Regatta.

Regatta Place is super organized, has the best vendor list for photographers, florists, bakers and is there to help you every step of the way! They made wedding planning a breeze and actually fun! They provide a timeline and the day of planner who helps guide you through the day! 10/10 would highly recommend!

Regatta Place was our dream venue. Getting married on the water was extremely important to me and my partner, so having the ceremony and reception on a dock was absolutely incredible. The ceremony area flows right into the cocktail hour area, and then right into the reception, making for a seamless guest experience. And while the location and amenities are of the highest caliber, that's actually only half of what makes Regatta Place so special. The staff, Maggie especially, are the kindest and hardest working event team I have ever encountered. Not only are they professionals in every sense of the word, but they are genuinely excited to make your vision come to life. They worked tirelessly with us to make sure every detail was accounted for and then made it all happen. If you're nervous about it raining, this venue is still perfect! We thought up until an hour before the ceremony that it would rain, and while it didn't, I felt confident that everything would be taken care of by the Regatta Place team if it had, which meant we didn't have to worry about it at all!

This review is written by the MOB. Regatta Place is a unique and gorgeous wedding venue. And ALL of its staff -- and I mean every single person -- is EXCEPTIONAL. If you are looking for a Newport wedding that is both unique and quintessentially Newport (that serves delicious food) look no further. Planning a destination wedding can be a daunting task but with Maggie and Kay on your team, you can sit back and not worry about one detail. They are an extraordinary duo. No detail was missed. Our guests were so impressed at how seamlessly everything came together. And throughout the cocktail hour and reception every staff member was lovely and on point. Some of the comments we received from various guests are : "Best wedding I have ever been to." "The service was impeccable." (we heard this one a lot) "We could not believe how delicious the food was." If I have the opportunity in the future, I will host another event at Regatta Place. My daughter and son-in-law are beyond delighted that they chose Regatta Place to host their wedding.

I would recommend the Regatta Place as a venue to anyone!! I can not say enough good things about the staff. From my first visit they were welcoming, professional and helpful. They were so great this ended up being the one venue I viewed!! I booked it right after. Throughout the planning the staff there was always willing to answer me or my mothers multiple calls. They offered advice and were very knowledgeable about everything weddings. The day of I did not have to worry about a THING! Everything was taken care of by the staff with such care and effort. My day was better than I ever could of imagined. They even packed up all of the decor we brought for us so we could enjoy the night without worrying about the stress of gathering our decor. They made this day so special for me and I am forever grateful!!!!

We were married at Regatta Place in July 2023. The staff was amazing and so helpful! Kay (the day of coordinator) checked in on me multiple times to be sure I was happy throughout the night which was so nice and made me feel at ease. Maggie was also amazing throughout the whole planning process. She made it fun and stress-free and paid attention to every detail! The location, food, drinks and ambiance was exactly what we wanted and just so beautiful! Our wedding guests also agreed. Thank you to all who made our wedding day so magical, we cannot recommend this venue enough!

Regatta place is an absolute fabulous venue with staff who exceed all expectations. We were a destination wedding and needed a team to handle all details for us as we really didn’t have the capability to fly out to RI multiple times during the planning process. Kay the banquet manager/director and Maggie the catering manager/director took care of every tiny detail. We had some specific requests(slight menu changes, swapping out alcohol preferences, etc.) and the team at Regatta didn’t miss a single thing! I DIY-ed my flowers and needed someone to set up the centerpieces and ceremony flowers for me, I had hair/makeup on the morning of the wedding, Kay ensured my vision came to life setting up the bud vases, table runners and ceremony pieces. Kay bustled my dress, coordinated everything with our vendors and was so kid and friendly the entire day. Leading up to the day of the wedding Maggie tracked every detail and maintained constant quick communication with us, answering all of our questions clearly and concisely. On the day of the wedding Kayley our personal server was so friendly and quick, we never had an empty drink or plate. Although we didn’t meet this team I want to shout out the grounds/facilities team who keep Regatta looking so beautiful. We literally had zero complaints about our day!

Regatta Place was an amazing wedding venue! The venue is stunning and we received so many compliments from our family and friends about the views, as well as the food. After touring several venues, we knew right away that Regatta was the place for us! We first met with Susanne who was so communicative. Even after booking the venue, she continued answering all sorts of questions we emailed her about. She also sent us a really nice text in the days leading up to our wedding to wish us a happy wedding week! As our wedding day got closer, we worked with Maggie and on our wedding day we worked with Kay. Both Maggie and Kay had super calm demeanors and made sure every detail was taken care of. Kay made sure that we constantly had everything we needed throughout our wedding day reception! We absolutely loved Regatta Place and would highly recommend it to anyone!

We recently had our wedding at Regatta Place and the experience was amazing. From the moment we toured the venue with Kate we knew Regatta Place was the one for us. We worked with Maggie to organize the day and she was absolutely wonderful. Maggie was very responsive to our emails and executed our wedding perfectly. Kay was also very helpful the day of and all of the guests stated that it was the most well-organized wedding that they had ever been to. My husband and I really appreciated the staff’s attentiveness to us the day of, with all our needs being met without us even having to ask! Regatta place was not only wonderful to work with during the wedding planning process, but also made us feel like a king and queen on our wedding day! They were so attentive and made us feel so special. Susanne and Maggie were both very communicative throughout our 22 month engagement and helped us so much with all of our questions. On the wedding day, everything went off without a hitch, and Regatta worked wonderfully alongside our other vendors. We received so many compliments from friends and family on how beautiful the venue was. It even ended up raining on our wedding day, and the venue looked perfect regardless! My experience with Regatta Place was seamless from beginning to end. Their entire staff was so involved and communicative throughout my almost 2 year engagement. Maggie was the best of the best, I felt like I had hired a wedding coordinator with her by our side through the whole process. She truly planned out every little detail and calmed all my nerves and anxiety for the big day. The catering was also amazing and we loved every appetizer we tried and entrees for meal picks.
