We had the pleasure of hosting our intimate wedding for just over 50 guests at the Renaissance Event Hall in May 2024.
The event space is beautiful— although the surrounding area is a bit rough, it’s a space that’s large enough to really bring your vision to life. Originally, our ceremony was supposed to be held on the outdoor patio but after a “rain plan” rehearsal we decided to have the ceremony indoors to make use of the beautiful grand staircase.
Affordable space— for NYC? Absolutely.
Food— great!
Bar— great!
Staff— amazing! Shout out to Larry for the amazing lighting. Both Larry and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure guests were served, comfortable, and having a great time.
My only wish was that there was a separate groom suite that’s apart from the bridal suite. Here we had to use a foldable partition to separate the bride side from the groom side. Also, our rehearsal was double booked with another wedding party the day before our wedding which was a bit disappointing having to wait and navigate around their rehearsal to complete ours. However, this just seemed to be a simple miscommunication between Lisa and her assistant which I’m hoping won’t be the case with another bride/groom.
Overall, it was the perfect space to host our wedding. Lisa was such a pleasure to work with and had such great insights on how to bring together the event in a manner that made the best use of the space.

Lisa and Maritza at Renaissance Event Hall helped provide a wonderful venue for our March 2024 wedding. Lisa answered every question we had and was extremely helpful, collaborative, accommodating, and patient. We had multiple guests talk about how great the food was and the venue was able to pivot with whatever the day threw at us, including a crazy amount of rain. We would absolutely recommend Renaissance Event Hall to anyone who asked!
We had our wedding here on 4/8/23 and we are beyond thrilled that we chose Renaissance Event Hall. A few weeks later and we are still smiling constantly thinking of how perfect everything went. The hall was beautiful of course and we loved the drama of walking down the grand staircase for the ceremony. At the reception we had plenty of space on the dance floor. The food was phenomenal; we had several foodie guests text us during the event to tell us how delicious the food was and some even said it was the best they ever had at a wedding. In fact, several guests told us it was the best wedding they ever went to. All of our 180 guests were smiling and having fun from beginning to end. Larry took care of my husband and I and made sure we had food and drinks as we were so busy mingling with everyone. The biggest thank you I have to give is to Lisa and Maritza. Lisa helped us throughout the planning process and was always immediately responsive in her emails. She told us beforehand that she would be helping with every facet of the event and she did not lie. I’m convinced she has clones of herself because she was helping everyone everywhere all at once. She was our planner, my therapist the day before the wedding, and our day of coordinator. She helped serve food, helped at the bar, and even helped me out of my dress! Maritza opened the venue early for me day of and assisted with getting things ready last minute. All in all we had a fantastic wedding at Renaissance and could not recommend it enough for any event!

I had my wedding at Renaissance Event Hall and it was the best choice I could have possibly made. Lisa and Maritza are beyond amazing. They worked closely with us to make sure that we got the wedding of or dreams. I had people coming up to me all night telling me how much they loved the venue and the wait staff. The staff was able to accommodate my grandma, who has trouble walking, was able to be served from the buffet. They even prepared plates for my husband and I so we didn't forget to eat. Lisa and Maritza made sure the people in my wedding party were where they needed to be and were able to manage all of the logistics so we could just focus on enjoying the wedding. The event ran exactly on time and the staff executed every part of it without missing a beat. Looking back on it, every bride always wonders what they would have done differently for the wedding. I can confidently say that I wouldn't have changed a single thing and that is all due to having our event at Renaissance. I keep getting calls and texts from guests saying it was the best wedding they've been to. Thank you to the Renaissance team for giving us the perfect day!
My wedding was held here last weekend after visiting Renaissance for the first time at the end of January. As soon as I walked in I had a feeling this would be our venue, which was even more confirmed by meeting Maritza. Although she's only started working here in January, her years of experience with event planning was evident as soon as we sat down together. She made me feel at ease with the whole process and wasn't pushy with pricing or our budget at all. They were more than accommodating for hosting us on short notice and were responsive whether by email or phone. The event hall doesn't need much decoration as it's quite beautiful as it is on its own, there was enough staff and everyone I interacted with that evening was kind. Maritza was a true professional as my maitre d, and I'm glad I trusted her and Renaissance Event Hall! I was somewhat nervous that this seemed too easy for a day that a lot of people feel more stressed about, but we think our wedding was a success based on our experience and the feedback of our guests. Everyone enjoyed the food, which was one of our biggest concerns. Thank you!

I have to say the Renaissance was everything. The moment I stepped into the venue as we was looking for the perfect wedding place I felt extreme special. Bernard and Marion were a pleasure to work with. With my thousand random email they were extremely helpful. On the day of the event Bryan was our maestro of ceremony and he was was amazing, so attentive and helpful each step of the way. The renaissance was amazing and created the wedding I envision. The amount of attention and helpfulness from them made this whole process amazing and on the day of the food was the talk of the time. Thank you Renaissance !!!
Hello from the Maldives , this island is as romantic as our wedding was at the Renaissance.
We dressed up the venue with some additional furniture and rental chairs.
Even though they offer super nice chairs included in their package.
But I just wanted a black chair and it was worth it .
The staff was young and energetic the food was very nicely presented and our life band that was recommended by the Renaissance as well as other vendors that they have connections with have been on point. Thank you Benard thank you Marion .
We booked this venue before the renovations have been completed and we have been at first concerned if it will be all done to our wedding.
They offered us a deluxe Michelin menu tasting and we decided also here to raise our budget a little. Everything was fantastic including the weather for our outdoor ceremony.
My mother was extremely concerned about the location but the day we took her and the other part of our family she was impressed too. Again we are extremely satisfied and we want the Renaissance to prosper 10 stars from us :-)
We had a wonderful experience with Renaissance throughout the entire planning process and, especially, on our wedding day. The first day we went and looked at the space, Teresa answered all our questions and helped us design a wedding package that worked for us. Shortly after, we went for a "tasting" which turned out to be a multi-course meal with delicious appetizers, wines, champagne and amazing service. Their menu is huge and customizable for dietary restrictions. For the next few months, we e-mailed a lot with Marion, their event coordinator. She was extremely responsive and helpful for all our many questions as we worked out the details of our day. We also met with their manager, Bernard, who helped us and our DJ feel ready for the day. Our actual wedding reception at Renaissance was above and beyond all our expectations. Every detail we asked for was taken care of so that we could just relax and enjoy the day, including making sure we got to eat. The space is absolutely beautiful. There is an upstairs where we had cocktail hour. Then, we as the couple got to enter down a beautiful grand staircase. Downstairs there is a dance floor and a big open space for dinner. We are so pleased with the service, space, food, and the amazing time we had at Renaissance. I would give them more than 5 stars if possible!
Amazing venue absolutely beautiful place!! These people care about making everything about your day special. I couldn't have asked for anything different from Renaissance they are top notch from the food, to the staff, and the atmosphere everything was perfect. This event hall was absolutely stunning. My sisters wedding was incredibly beautiful and even as the maid of honor, I was made to feel special. What can I say? I couldn’t booked any other better place than this to do my wedding. Wow! My dream came true thanks to the best staff that work with us on the planning of this wedding since day 1 without hesitating on any of our concerns, they were very professional. We had our wedding on Oct 6 of this year and we were completely blown away by the overall experience. The venue was absolutely beautiful, food was outstanding, the atmosphere was perfect, everything about this place was perfect. The manager was extremely professional and very accommodating. Poor service from managers and staff/ stealing/ too small for a lot of guests. I attended a wedding there for one of my family members a month ago. They brought their own vendors for everything and it was beautiful. However, the manager was rude she also showed the venue on their wedding day. To top that off she wanted to show the bridal suite to people while the bride, bridal party and mother's were in there half naked preparing for the wedding which was was only hours away. What an idiot! Also the workers stole their alcohol during their wedding. That same worker snuck into her bridal suite to hide his bag there with the evidence before. There was also another incident with missing food.
Overall, don't waste your time and money! Once you pay them, they don't care about your needs and what you want on your big day! You should be carefree and enjoy your special day. I recommend that you go somewhere that cares about your wants and needs because you only get this day once !!! You'll thank me later ;) Peace & Love
My husband and I got married at the Renaissance on New Years Eve. The venue is beautiful and unlike any other space we had seen. The two-level space added a cool aspect to our event and we LOVED the string lights.. While there were a few logistical issues when we arrived for our reception, they were promptly and effectively taken care of. They were willing to help us to tailor the menu to honor my husband's midwestern roots and signature drinks that we wanted to include. The execution was a bit lacking however, our actual dinner was PHENOMENAL. It blew the tasting we had done out of the water. Family and friends are still raving over how good the food was.
Booked Renaissance to host my wedding ceremony, cocktail and reception and was very pleased with their professionalism, helpfulness and flexibility throughout the entire 8 - 9 months of planning. Would recommend to host a party, social/business event or wedding cocktail and reception. Good food and atmosphere and the staff were great to work with and respectful. My wife and I celebrated our wedding on 12/30/18 at Renaissance Event Hall and we couldn't have been happier with the level of service that we received before and during the reception. All our questions and concerns were addressed during the planning stages, including the menu, the lighting and the cocktail hour set up. Bernard and Teresa were second to none in helping our preparations. The service on the day of, including that of the maitre'd who oversaw the operation and our bridal room attendant, was efficient and flawless. When we arrived from taking pictures, with only 20 minutes left for Cocktail Hour, we were immediately assisted by our bridal attendant. My bridal party and I had drinks in our hands and hors d'oeuvres in our mouths within a minute. Our guests continue remarking on how seamless the event was run, loved the hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and their entrees during the reception. Our friends and family enjoy a drink or four and my concerns that the bar would be packed never materialized. Everyone seemed to always have a drink in their hand, as if by magic. Thank you Renaissance Event Hall! What was a stressful lead up to the big day culminated into a magical and memorable experience not only for my wife and I, but for our friends and family.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at the Renaissance. The space is great, wide open, classic and clean. The bridal suite was newly renovated and great for privacy for the wedding party. Loved the fact that only one party is hosted there at one time! The décor matched perfectly to what we had envisioned for our reception. The food was great! Our attending staff were awesome and really made sure we were happy and comfortable. Overall staff were friendly and super helpful. Definitely recommend for hosting any special occasions!
Rennisance event hall is a hidden gem, the decor of the venue is clean and modern, a rarity amongst banquet halls that I don't think you'll find anywhere else. the fact that everything is included will save you so much stress not to mention money. The food there is outstanding!! We got so many complements on the food, you could tell that they really put pride and detail into their food. The staff there was utterly delightful, super nice and accommodating especially our bridal suite attendant. There are only a few issues/cons that I will just quickly list below:
• Communication leaves much to be desired, it was hard to get ahold of the Manager and staff and they where slow to respond via email, which caused me a lot of stress and worry.
• Collaboration between the banquent manger, Matre D and Wedding Coordinator was poor, causing the day of to be hectic. no one know who was responsible for storing the cake and so when they realized that they didn't have a cake, minutes before we where supposed to cut the cake, they where running around like chickens with their heads cut off, all three of them came up to me on separate occasions asking ME where the cake was, are you serious? Also at the end of the night between the three of them, no one made sure that all my decorations, etc where placed in the proper location for me to retrive, I had things that where missing and broken, at the end of the night I couldn't find anyone so I had to go looking around the venue for my stuff collecting table numbers, etc, have you even known a bride to clean up after her own wedding? due to this, I was never able to recover my bridal bouquet.
• The bridal suite could have been set up a little nicer, maybe some more mirrors, a carpet and some more couches. there where some odd bistro sets and picnic tables in there that looked like they belonged outdoors and they had this built in seating in the back that had rugged wood edged and nails that ripped my bridal robe when I sat on it. They should keep in mind that the bridal suite is somewhere where the bride and bridesmaids will be getting ready, relaxing and lounging for a long period of time, make it comfortable and private.
• During the ceremony a guest knocked over a vase filled with water, for some reason no one on the staff knew what to do and they spent way too long trying to mop up water. this caused the schedule to be behind, which caused me to have to pay the violinists and extra $800!!! who has $800 lying around after saving up for 18 months for a wedding?
I really think that they have a lot of kinks to iron out but I think they are getting there. my advice to you is to hire an outside wedding planner who is going to be very vigilant and on top of everything with them.
Other than that is was a beautiful wedding!
We have searched for a venue for a very long time after meeting with Teresa & Benard at this lovely venue we knew that our search came to an end ....the catering and the service has been top notch. We would like to show gratitude to the chef and his team as well as the captain and his servers. They went out of their way to make my night as i always envisioned it in my dreams.
If you look for a elegant and intimate space don’t look any further.
They provide great customer service and offer plenty of advise.

Dominique G- I have to honestly say this location is beautiful. Me and my husband Javier search so many different location to have our perfect day. And for two years it seem as if we could never find a place. But once I walked into the Renaissance, I was blown away. And on July 16, 2018, we were able to have our amazing day at this beautiful place. The food was amazing, and the service was second to none. My guest even arrived earlier than our reception time. And all the staff especially out wedding planner Bernard, made my guest and family feel comfortable. I will recommend everyone to this location. The prices are amazing, and you get so much for your money. And everything i wanted my wedding planner Bernard provided. We were truly blessed and lucky to have found this place. Each time we meet with Benard we knew that we are in good hands .
The day of our wedding was perfect the service and catering was above our expectations and expectations have been high .
Although we did not host our ceremony at the venue we used the new garden for family pictures. The new bridal suite was very spacious and our Bridal attendant Diana was very helpful.

This is a great place! I attended my cousin's wedding there last week (among 200+ other people) and was surprised in a very pleasant way (which doesn't happen often, believe me). The food was wonderful, staff was super attentive, the DJ was superb, and the place was beautiful! What topped the list were the cocktails though. O My! I never intend to get married, however, will suggest this place to anyone who asks my opinion. Lovely, lovely, lovely!

There are in our life defining moments, Moments that we recognize and remember as pivotal points that can change our life forever and anything or anyone that contribute to that moment will as well become forever part of it.
The day we join our life in matrimony to our significant other is no ordinary day, but a pivotal moment in our life. As I found myself in search of that special place I envisioned how I wanted my special day to be. The Renaissance was the second place on my list to visit. I walked in, the first thing that took over my senses was a very pleasant smell, delighted😊 by it, being that I am lover of the olfactory pleasures, I had a good feeling that was then complemented with a warm, kind and professional greeting from Bernard and Teresa. Their cordial assistance immediately made me and my soon to be husband very comfortable. As we were guided to tour the venue, my imagination began to fly and I could picture my guests walking in to the sound of Beethoven’s and Mozarts sonatas and the moment that defined it all finally happened; After walking down the beautiful staircase to the lower level, I looked up and there was the beautiful balconies, my imagination fired up and I envisioned my moment “The officiant just pronounced us man and wife and there at the balcony was Jose Heredia, the tenor with his beautiful voice singing “Dein ist mein ganzes herz” as me and Seppi, (now married) proceed to walk up the staircase feeling the vibration of the Tenor’ voice in our hearts”. As my daydream came to an end and I came back to reality, I told Seppi “Our search is over, we have found the place.”
Now, since important decisions shall not be left to the mercy of mere feelings and emotions, I’d like to approach this review from an objective perspective.
From our first time visiting the venue and meeting with Bernard and Teresa, we were able to discern their professionalism and expertise in the wedding and catering business.
The Excellency in their work ethic was clearly seen in the way they handled matters promptly and with transparency.
It has been said that “We are what we repeatedly do, therefore EXCELLENCE is not an act, but a HABIT”. I am forever thankful to the Renaissance for putting their habit of excellency to our service and providing us with an over the top service, giving us the peace of mind that comes from knowing you are dealing with professionals and for making our guests feel like royalty.
There is not need to go into details on each aspect of their service, since to those who understand very little information will suffice, recognizing that in life people might not always remember what you said or did, but they will always remember how you made them feel. As for me and my husband, our experience with the Renaissance Event Hall left us feeling satisfied, grateful and privileged for having the fortune of finding such an amazing Gem of Venue.

Beautiful space for any event. I had my wedding reception there and I highly recommend it to others. The place itself is updated and doesn’t look like the typical wedding venues that look old and outdated. The food was delicious and different and drinks were great. Staff especially were on point with everything and very friendly. Pricing is awesome for what you are getting. I will be having future events at this venue.

We had a beautiful wedding here and thought the venue was so accommodating during the wedding planning. We had 200+ guests so it was a large party and some of my guests didn't speak english so there might have been a language barrier. We would give it 5 stars but there were some hiccups during the wedding. 1. During the planning, we requested the food to be served as a buffet along with all of the cake but they saved the top tier for us...Our cake was split into 3 flavors and so they saved us the whole top tier which was my favorite flavor but I wanted my guests to have it, not me.
2. Also we had asked beforehand if we should get a Day of Coordinator and they said that it wouldn't be necessary and so we didn't hire one. We mentioned that our bridal attendant was a little too friendly and was in our faces too much. I had to kick people out of the bridal suite myself and she seemed a little frantic in general the day of which made us nervous. The venue said typically she would liaison with our Day of Coordinator but we didn't have one.....because they told us we didn't need one...
3. At the buffet, they were supposed to go to each table and call them to the buffet but after the 5th table, people started to go up and get the food themselves because they were not notified of when to go to the buffet.
4. According to the my husband, the cocktail hr was a little crowded in the balcony area for 200+ people which is why people went out into the outdoor terrace and into the bridal suite eventually since someone left the door wide open.
At the end of the day, the venue is beautiful and the food was great and we had a wonderful time. Brian was our coordinator and he was a real trooper. There are always going to be hiccups along the way but do yourself a favor and get a day of coordinator for your own piece of mind.

Management and execution is top notch. The rainy weather that day was meaningless in the face of happy guests that were fully enjoying themselves. If you are planning a wedding, you need to see this place and include it among your selection process. The agility and energy of the staff will make your special day so much more pleasurable and easier as they did for us - and that in itself made Renaissance Event Hall the best choice for us. I am a very driven person. When looking for a wedding venue we had very specific needs and wants. We visited thirteen venues in one week. The minute we walked into the Renaissance Event Hall we knew we had found the right place for our wedding. It is the perfect venue for a traditional event or a non-traditional setting like ours. The design is chic and modern without being overpowering. It is the perfect balanced canvas to create whatever you need, right down to the bathrooms with the amazing wallpaper.
Teresa was warm and friendly. She sold us on the venue without being heavy-handed and gave us room to think and make decisions. They were very willing to work within our budget and didn’t make us feel like it would be at the expense of quality. They recommended top notch vendors and were very willing to work with our own outside vendors. We were also very impressed with the sample menu tasting. My husband and I are both foodies and while the design was super important to me, food was super important to him. Neither of us were at all disappointed.
The food was spectacular, not what you would expect from an event venue. They were also very accommodating of our specific tastes and needs. Benard, who oversaw the details, was truly helpful. He heard all our requests and made all possible happen leading up to the main event.
Benard and Teresa were very professional while still exuding warmth and friendliness. They even followed-up with a conference call with my husband and me two days later to check on us and confirm our night had met all our expectations.
The rest of the staff who worked and took care of us on the day/night of our wedding were also top notch. We would absolutely recommend this place to friends, family and strangers alike. It was a truly gratifying experience working with Bernard and Teresa who helped to bring our vision to fruition. We would love to have another event to plan with them.

I recently had my daughter’s sweet sixteen there this February.The event was amazing and Alexandra is fabulous she listened to all our wishes and made them happen. Bernardo the event host was so wonderful he tended to all our needs everyone there was so professional and polite.The food was amazing! All of our guests enjoyed the party and they made my daughter’s day unforgettable. Anyone who has underwent planning a wedding in New York City can understand how truly daunting it may be. My wife and I were experiencing this first hand until we were able to find the Renaissance, a true gem in Astoria. From the moment we walked in we were incredibly impressed with the space and it was true pleasure to work with Theresa and Brenda. They were able to accommodate us on every aspect that we wanted to incorporate into the ceremony and reception, all while working within the limits of our budget. On the day of the wedding everything was arranged as requested for the ceremony without any flaws. This followed through onto the cocktail hour and reception where the food was absolutely fantastic, service was extremely professional, and was promptly coordinate with the dancing, photos, and other festivities. Our guests were having such a good time that it took an effort to convince them the party was over! Theresa, Brenda, and the rest of the team at the Renaissance are a welcome relief to the potential headache that could come with trying to plan and execute a wedding in NYC. My now husband and I live around the corner from the Renaissance Event Hall and early in our wedding planning, we just happened to walk by it and wonder "what is that place?". After some investigating we set up a meeting with Brenda to view the venue and fell in love with the space! We had just under 17o guests which made for a cozy reception in the main section of the event hall.
Brenda was great to work with and always quickly answered any questions we had. The food was fantastic and the staff onsite during the reception were fantastic as well. The team at the Renaissance was able to help transform the space beyond what we could have imagined. We've heard nothing but compliments from our guests on the space and their experience. I keep saying that I wish we could go back and attend our own wedding as guests! The Renaissance truly is a beautiful event space and the team is great to work with.

Amazing, beautiful, wonderful. We had our wedding Aug 26th 2017 and we were truly impressed. We couldn't have chosen a better place to hold our reception. All our future events will without any doubt be here!
We were so pleased with our wedding reception we had here last Saturday. Food quality was excellent and guests were surprised at how good their mojitos were! Brenda and Teresa worked very very had to ensure we were happy with the service and event. In the end the space looked lovely and guests commented on the interesting and beautiful space. They just expanded their space as well to hold larger events more comfortably. This is certainly an up-and-coming wedding reception venue!
We were really happy with our experience at Renaissance Event Hall! We worked with Brenda and Astrid and Theresa and they were all really accommodating, and helpful. Brenda was incredibly generous with our time, and was able to accommodate all of our requests. Our guests all complimented the food and the ambiance. Beautiful and unique space. Perfect for hosting the ceremony and reception all in one. They only host one event at a time so you have all of their attention and it's very intimate. We had 125 guests at our wedding and it was the perfect size. The food was excellent! The staff was attentive and professional throughout the night and our wonderful maitre'd, Astrid, made sure everything went smoothly and that we had the best night of our lives. Planning the event was such a breeze, Brenda and Theresa were prompt to respond to and accommodate our every request. I had been in talks with other venues before booking this one and I felt like I had to chase them down to give them my business so finally working with Brenda was a breath of fresh air. I would 100% recommend the Renaissance to anyone looking for a wedding venue and I'm even looking for an occasion to host something there again.
Through The Knot we found this little Gem. Our wedding was everything we had hoped for. We couldn't be more grateful for Brenda and the Renaissance Staff for making our day feel so special. The food was amazing and my guest had no complaint. The fact that they help you choose and taste the menu was amazing. I had a sweet sixteen here and I had an amazing time. The service was really good. Everyone in my party had a great time. The food, the drinks, the service was really good. The waiters and waitress were really nice and respectful and very helpfully when it came to stuff for my party. Im grateful there was no problems when it came to moving the date serval times because of the weather conditions. The venue is amazing and elegant. I love the spacing and how big it is for many people. I recommend having a party here, its a really good place for any type of event. I will do a party here again

This is definitely the best place to have your event any type of event. I've been a guest for my best friend wedding everything was on point the food was delicious the staff is great and polite! We started off coordinating with Paul but Brenda took over. Brenda and Teresa always made us feel really taken care of - and were always very welcoming. They definitely listened to our feedback from our food tasting and made all adjustments, that was the testament of how well they cared about making us happy. Brenda's communication and responsiveness was really top notch and was always eager to help and make adjustments for us even when it was last minute and for the littlest things. Astrid the coordinator of the night of the wedding was amazing as well. She made sure I had food & drinks eventhough I was very busy having a good time dancing lol. She helped me with my dress, helped me fix my jewerly and hair and was very attentive to make sure I looked and felt my best. All my guests gave me raving reviews about how beautiful the venue is and how great the ambiance is. They raved about the hors d'oeuvres during cocktail, everyone raved about how great our signature drink was and they even made sure I had sprigs of lavender to match my purple theme. We did have some guests say the fish entree was a bit on the smaller size but overall the food was very good.
Because the layout of the cocktail area, it did get a bit hectic with 140+ guests at times but the wait staff and Astrid was very accomodating to everyone, but other then that REH made our night so memorable and we had a blast. Thank you so much for everything & making our night amazing!
Renaissance Event Hall was the 3rd and last venue we looked at and it was definitely a breath of fresh air and a sigh of relief all at the same time. We were looking for a place to do both the ceremony and reception for 120 people. Not only did Renaissance fit the bill in terms of space- they also have many packages and options for every price point and you don't feel like you're skimping when you choose some of the more thrifty packages.
At 120 people, we felt that the space was intimate but not crowded- all of our guests were able to fit nicely in the 13 tables for the reception. While there was plenty of space on the dance floor for everyone to dance all at once- it was not so big that it felt awkward when only a few people wanted to dance. My guests all felt it was a great romantic - but not over the top venue (i.e. no gaudy chandeliers)
Brenda made us feel really taken care of - she not only listened to what we needed and wanted, she also offered plenty of solutions and advice when we were faltering in some of our decision making. Communication and responsiveness was really top notch.
The food was really great and something that my husband I cared a lot about- they were flexible in adding tacos to the cocktail hour menu, even though they didn't offer it. My parents and guests are still talking about the roast pig carving station- it was so delicious and well prepared. They definitely listened to our feedback from our food tasting and incorporated our comments very well. There was some sort of miss-hap in the kitchen that led to a delay in some of the food being served for dinner- but the staff was so apologetic. In the end, it was handled in a way that our guests didn't really notice even though I was worried about the timing.

The ideas we had for our wedding were so much more than people usually do at weddings, involving costume changes, performances, bringing in our own lighting and sound people, etc. From the very first appointment the staff at The Renaissance didn't think twice. My fiance and I had come to the wedding expo and met Jessica. She was overwhelmingly helpful with everything and we were so impressed that we booked on the spot!
We got a little folder with our picture and some champagne to celebrate locking in our date! The details were really great.
The space:
It's big, beautiful, and well kept. There are so many different options you have from a formal sit down dinner to a cocktail party. It's really impressive!
The Food: Unbelievable. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. I can't say enough about how good the food was. It was always hot too!
The service: Flawless. Everyone there was so nice. They were very diligent in taking away any garbage left behind, there was never a empty glass or dirty plate sitting around. Very proportionately staffed. They were all so nice and helpful, the bartender has a great pour! Everything was perfectly timed. This is how service is supposed to be. Those servers really cared.
Communication/responsiveness: I never had a problem getting in touch with Jessica and she was always very willing to meet. Anytime we had a meeting I would immediately get an email confirming an appointment in the calendar. This is very helpful since my now husband and I are very organized.
Value/Price: For what you get, it's worth every penny. There may be cheaper options in the area, but I would pay the extra money to have any event here.
The best part - JESSICA!!!!: Jessica has been so helpful throughout the entire process. Not only is she in charge of sales and marketing, but she is also the head chef. We sat down with her to go over different options and customized packages to fit our budget and our taste. She came up with amazing options for the food that she was making up off the top of her head after we had discussed with her what kind of food we liked. I cannot thank her enough for my wedding being perfectly executed.

For the past 4 years" Renaissance Event Hall "has been catering our family holiday dinners, our special occasions such as a cocktail pre-prom party for about 200 people , our granddaughter's first birthday party, a bridal luncheon tea .
At every one of these events the food was delicious, the presentation beautiful and the service staff so very capable and friendly.
And the epitome of all of this was our daughter's wedding in august 2014.
The important details of lighting, table placement The menu, which included, amongst three different entree choices , rack of lamb, was a selection of the very freshest foods, special breads, salads, and desserts which included family specialties.
This day was a labor of love and knowledge and quality that took 9 months of planning by each of us, and Taste of Distinction. I knew as soon as my daughter said that she wanted to be married at Renaissance Event Hall, the only people I wanted to work with were Teresa & Jessica"
