Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel

Our wedding at the Renaissance was better than we could have ever imagined! We were looking to have an urban, formal wedding in Pittsburgh and the Renaissance was perfect! The prices were more reasonable than surrounding venues and more importantly this venue had everything we were looking for! The grand, romantic vibe of the hotel was beautiful for our cocktail hour/reception/photos and the Heaven/Fulton suites with outdoor balconies were amazing for the bridal party getting ready/afterparty. Craig, Allison, and Fallon were great to work with. They were timely with responses despite staffing changes with COVID and always made sure we were taken care of - whether with a wedding inquiry or making sure my parents were in a room with a view when visiting for the weekend. The food for the wedding was also amazing. They also help set up the whole reception with many details (signs/cookie table/photos) that made our day special! I cannot say enough good things about the Renaissance! I highly recommend it and plan to come back for special events in the future!

We did not have our wedding at the Renaissance, but we did have our room block here. 10/10 recommend! The Renaissance is a beautiful hotel. We worked with Craig Bollman and he was extremely accommodating. For the bride and groom, we definitely recommend the Fulton Suite. It has a King bedroom, living room, and private rooftop deck which is absolutely beautiful.

We were looking around for upscale wedding venues in Pittsburgh area. Nemacolin and Renaissance were the top contenders for us... we decided to go with Renaissance after looking at the price and we are so glad we did. Not only is the price so much better at Renaissance, but also the hotel itself is incredibly beautiful and luxurious. Met some footballers and sport dudes there. Amazing hotel for doing a wedding and their Heaven's suite is the bomb. The venue was incredible and all those who attended my wedding even said that it is the most beautiful venue they've actually been to. For the price we paid it was amazing.

Booking our ceremony and reception at the Renaissance was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. My husband and I were a little apprehensive about the planning process, as we were planning our wedding out of state; however, Fallon and the staff at the Renaissance made the planning process so much easier. Fallon is timely in her replies, always has a smile on her face, and took so much stress off our shoulders. Most weddings that I’ve been a part of, brides and their family are stressed the morning of the wedding. But thanks to the Renaissance and Fallon, this was not the case! The entire day was so relaxed, fun, and celebratory and we didn’t have to worry about one thing. Also, the venue is so stunning and elegant, and the food is phenomenal!!! I can not thank Fallon and the staff enough for all the time, energy, and hard work they put into making our day so special.

Kerry, Josh, and Fallon were absolutely wonderful to work with and everything was fabulous. Our guests raved about the food, the venue, and their experience which meant the world to us. The Renaissance and Fallon, Allison, Kerry and team were amazing. I never felt frazzled or over whelmed. The reception hall was set up beautifully, the food was to die for ( how do you cook that many steaks perfect?!) and all of my vendors got in and out with no problems. Fallon was organized and on top of every small detail. Our ceremony was on the lobby stairs and it was beautiful as well! I am so glad we choose them. They also helped immensely with a huge block of rooms at a great price, AND handed out our gift bags! I can't express enough how thankful I am to have had such a smooth wedding experience here!!!

We recently hosted our wedding reception at the Renaissance over 4th of July weekend. We were so impressed with how everything turned out and wanted to especially rave about Fallon, Lisa and Marlena, along with the rest of the amazing staff. Our bridal suite was perfection and the room block was easy to organize. All of the day-of details were executed flawlessly by Marlena and her team. And every step of the planning process was overseen by Fallon who is so great to work with and who took every little worry that I had seriously. The hotel itself is a show-stopper which is why we chose it. From the trendy, upscale room décor to the beautiful lobby, grand staircase and the jaw-dropping lighted dome, the Renaissance gave our reception such a classy and contemporary home. And the classically Pittsburgh view from the ballroom was the icing on the cake. Their wedding package is priced so well for everything that you get with it and all of the food was insanely good! I know that the bride and groom typically don’t have time to eat, but my husband and I couldn’t bare to not completely clean our plates! Finally, we wanted to mention the bartender at the Braddock Bar, Mike. Talk about an awesome guy! Mike was always the absolute picture of customer service while still becoming a friend every time that we talked with him, even if it was just while grabbing a drink after a planning meeting. If you’re interested in great bar service for the wedding, Mike will make sure it happens, and he even concocted a signature drink that our guests are still talking about! Overall, we toured over 20 Pittsburgh venues for our reception and knew instantly upon entering the Renaissance that our search was over. It was the perfect choice and allowed us to throw the reception of our dreams while our guest received unparalleled hospitality and we wouldn’t change a thing!

My husband & I looked at just about every single downtown venue for our wedding, and The Renaissance stole our hearts! We had our wedding (ceremony & reception) at The Renaissance on September 7th and had an amazing experience from start to finish while planning our wedding with their expert team. We held our ceremony in the hotel lobby and it was everything I ever imagined and more! The cocktail hour was held upstairs in one of the smaller ballrooms and the foyer. For our reception, it was held in the stunning ballroom that is overlooking PNC Park & the bridges. The scenery of The Renaissance is easy to see how beautiful it is, but it was the people who made the experience even better! Working with Fallon was the BEST- she is super fun and professional and truly made our wedding day perfect and so special. The Renaissance also provided amazing services for the hotel blocks- all of our guests raved about how stunning their rooms were & loved the views from their window! The Renaissance also has The Heaven Suite where my bridesmaids & I got ready in- it is AMAZING! We did our first look on the rooftop off of the suite and the photos turned out stunning. Thank you, Renaissance for giving us our dream wedding location & experience!!

We had our daughter's beautiful wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and brunch) at the Renaissance on September 7. It's no secret that the venue is absolutely breathtaking! But, most importantly, each person we worked with from the very start were professional, pleasant, customer-oriented, attentive, organized, responsive and extremely accommodating. There's so many names that I should mention here but if I do, I'd be afraid to miss someone! From the lovely Fallon to the fun and talented Mike at the bar to efficient and pleasant server Rosa to the kind and helpful bell staff and parking attendants, we could not have been happier. There's lots of great venues in Pittsburgh to have a wedding (we saw them all!) but this one is not to be missed!

An amazing day had by all! The “dream team” of event coordinators did a fantastic above and beyond celebration for us! The year of planning was stress free and right on point with EVERY DETAIL!! The food was amazing and was the service ! Honestly from start to finish this was the best day ever . We can’t thank you enough for making every second special 💜

My husband and I couldn’t be happier that we had our reception at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel. From the initial meeting to the day of our wedding, we were so impressed with the venue and the staff. The venue is just beautiful and offers a gorgeous view of the city from the ballroom. The staff were all extremely prompt with their responses to emails and phone calls. Fallon and the event crew at the Renaissance made our wedding experience so easy, effortless, fun, and honestly perfect. The staff was so helpful, extremely detail-oriented, and so much fun to work with. They answered every question that I threw their way and trust me – I had A LOT. You can trust them to make sure your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible. I cannot say enough great things about Fallon. Communication with her was excellent and so easy. She is very personable, professional, and extremely helpful. The package included a lot of components to the wedding, so we didn't have to plan many of them separately. The food was exceptional – so a big thank you to Chef Nick and his attention to detail. The day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about anything – every detail was taken care of. Fallon communicated with all of our vendors including our band, florist, cake, and photographer the day of so we did not have to make any decisions. After the wedding, we came up to our suite and had the most wonderful surprise - cake, cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, a bottle of champagne, and the sweetest note from Fallon and the event staff. All of our décor and things that we brought (picture frames, champagne flutes, cake server, guestbook, and card box) were neatly put away and delivered to our room by Mark so that we didn’t have to worry about it. We could not have had a better wedding reception and there isn’t one single thing that we would change. The Renaissance is a 10/10 venue! I would truly recommend this venue to anyone! Thanks again to everyone at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel for making our wedding day so perfect and so memorable. ☺

Fallon and crew at the Renaissance made our wedding experience 100% effortless, fun, and perfect. They know what they’re doing and can be trusted with the most important day of your life! Communication was excellent with the coordinator, Fallon. She is personable, down to earth, respectful, and professional. Every detail was taken care of. They communicated with all of our vendors including our band, florist, and photographer the day of so we did not have to make any decisions, direct anything, or worry about set up-all of those logistics were seamlessly taken care of. The Renaissance is a 10/10 on food, location, cleanliness, timelines, communication, and overall experience.

The Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel exceeded any possible expectation I had for my wedding. Allison and her team made sure everything was perfect leading up to and on the big day. They gave input and ideas on decorating, handled little things to take them off my plate and brought a positive atmosphere into any situation. The venue is beautiful and the food is amazing. Our wedding was beautiful and came together perfectly! Allison and Mark were great to work with leading up to the wedding and the day of. They made everything stress-free for us and were so helpful in arranging all of the details and exceeding our expectations. We would absolutely recommend the Renaissance! It is a beautiful venue and the team working there really exemplified a professional (and fun) team!

This venue was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Allison coordinated the details and made the entire planning process so easy. She helped keep us organized and on schedule. It was also great that she was actually there day-of, it was so nice to have a familiar face to work with with everything else going on that day. Cannot recommend this venue enough - it's gorgeous and has great staff!

Allison and her team at the Renaissance made our wedding a dream come true! She sat down with us early on in the planning process and took the time to understand our vision and the unique cultural aspects that we wanted to integrate into our big day. Her patience, understanding, and expertise were evident throughout the entire process. Not only did our day turn out beyond our expectations, the whole planning journey with Allison, Ron, and Lisa was a blast - sincerely a fun, creative, and collaborative experience. It's almost not fair that we only get to throw one party with people like this - I guess we need to share!! Looking back on our day, everyone at the Renaissance made the event a breeze...from the Mark, Raumere, Tom at the front desk to Chef Nick to Kim and housekeeping and everyone in between. We cannot recommend the Renaissance Pittsburgh highly enough! Both the venue and the event/hotel staff made the day truly a perfect memory for us and all of our guests.

It’s hard to put into words how phenomenal the staff and service was at the Renaissance. We feel so incredibly lucky to have had our wedding here. Allison and her staff are truly amazing. They are so professional, but they are also so nice. They made sure every detail of our wedding was perfect, and we couldn’t be more grateful. If you have the privilege to have your wedding here, it will truly be the most magical night!

My dream wedding was brought to life all because of Allison and the staff at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel! The food was exceptional, and Chef Nicks attention to detail for all of my courses was amazing customer service. Every idea I gave to Allison she made it even better than what I imagined. From the food and beverage team who perfected my centerpieces that had food on them (and provided our 8 course meal), to Allison's attention to detail and how to make that ballroom even more gorgeous, to the banquet servers and bartenders who were there with us all night making sure everything was perfect. We could not have had a better wedding reception, and we would not change one single thing! Everyone deserves to have a day just as perfect as mine was, and Allison and her team are the ones to handle it for you!

The second my husband and I walked into the Renaissance we knew we needed to have our wedding there and it did not disappoint! Allison is absolutely incredible at her job and made everything so easy. She is well organized and efficient and the day of we didn't have to worry about a thing. I gave four stars, however, because we had quite a few difficulties with the room. Guests had trouble booking both from the website and when calling in. The night before our wedding, the suite I had paid for was booked. We made welcome bags for out guests, and only a select few received them. While these issues were eventually resolved and everything worked out, I think it is worth mentioning because it definitely added some extra stress to our day. Even with this in mind, I would 100% recommend the Renaissance for a wedding venue. Our day of was absolutely perfect.

The Renaissance was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! End to end, the experience was amazing. Allison was very transparent about pricing from the beginning and what the Ren could accommodate for us. Ron was amazing the day of and Mike is best bartender there is! The entire team made us feel like royalty and made the ballroom look like an absolute dream. The day of the wedding, we didn't have to worry about a thing! The ballroom is so beautiful with the natural light from the large windows and the view is incredible. We received so many compliments from guests and the food was so delicious. We did not have a day of coordinator for our wedding, and felt confident that the Ren would handle everything smoothly, and they did just that! We dropped everything off a few days before the wedding and all we had to do was show up after our ceremony for a perfect reception.

Kelly was very attentive to our block of rooms there! She answered any and all of my questions and the front desk even passed out our gift bags to each of our guests when they arrived. The hotel was beautiful and the lobby space and bar make it a great place to hang out with everyone during the week of the wedding. It's a very good deal on a hotel in downtown Pittsburgh and I would highly recommend.

The Renaissance was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding reception! The ballroom is beautiful with great views of Pittsburgh. The Grand Staircase makes the venue look like Cinderella's castle, a real life fairytale ambience! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Allison was so easy to work with, she anticipated our every need and went above and beyond in making the day so very special. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating . The hotel rooms are amazing! Our guests raved about the accommodations. If you are considering a downtown wedding reception, this has to be your number one choice!

Having our wedding reception at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel was the BEST decision we made. Allison & her team made planning so fun and easy for us as the bride and groom and they were so helpful throughout the entire process. Our wedding day & entire stay at the hotel was everything we dreamed of and more! We had guests travel from all over the country and we received so many positive comments throughout the entire weekend regarding the fun location in the city, ambiance of the lobby/common areas, beautiful views from our reception room, exceptional food... the list can go on and on! If you are planning a wedding in the downtown Pittsburgh area, this venue is HIGHLY recommended! We are already excited to return for future visits!

Myself, my soon-to-be-husband, and family stayed in the Renaissance Hotel the night before the wedding with the intentions of getting married on the Mt. Washington Overlook by the Incline. We should have known better not to have an outdoor wedding on a Saturday in May, but we took a chance. The Friday before the wedding, the forecast was calling for thunderstorms all afternoon! We had to change the ceremony the day before the wedding! Luckily by the grace of God, the Renaissance had the Rhapsody Ballroom available with the perfect amount of space for our guests at a reasonable price of $300! Even better, Allison and her staff were so helpful, fast, and effective at their job. We had the most beautiful ceremony thanks to Allison and the staff at the Renaissance Hotel. Not to mention the absolutely beautiful top floor suites they have! Our reception was at Olive or Twist, so we just walked about30-50 feet across the street after the ceremony. I could not recommend this venue enough. You will not be disappointed!

We had an incredible NYE wedding at the renaissance. Our ceremony took place at 7:00pm and the reception partied until after midnight! The staff took great care of our families and were very accommodating. I would caution other brides that although you pay a rental fee for the lobby space, it will only be “yours” for the hour of the wedding. This presented an issue when my florist set up and then an entire other bridal party came in and took photos in our ceremony space. I’m unsure whether the renaissance I’ll extend payment from them, but it was very unprofessional and that possibility had not been explained to me.

I just recently had my reception at the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel and it was an incredible experience, I have zero complaints. The food was amazing (you never hear that at a wedding, our 210+ guests all were ranting a raving) and Allison was great to work with, very responsive especially during those last 2 (crazy) weeks before the wedding. My husband and i do not live in Pittsburgh, so we checked in Thursday before the wedding (wedding was on a Saturday) and the staff treated us amazingly the whole weekend going above and beyond to make sure our experience and our guests experience was perfect. We had over 65+ rooms reserved and there were zero complaints by our guests. ALSO, the bar downstairs is AWESOME, no one wanted to leave come Sunday. Do yourself a favor and book your wedding here, the location is amazing, the staff is amazing, it's a no brainer :)

The Renaissance did a FANTASTIC job hosting my wedding reception! My guests arrived earlier than normal, almost 4 days prior to the wedding, but the Renaissance was prepared with my gift bags and smiles :) I did not hire a wedding planner, so I was nervous going into the big event, but the staff at the Renaissance made sure everything ran smoothly. Allison did a great job preparing the entire staff; from Rob to Tony to Miss Patti in the ballroom - everyone was courteous and knew what their task was. We also enjoyed the bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries after the reception! Also a tip for all of you other brides... the Renaissance offers suites on their top level (floor 24) that have a balcony. It is an AMAZING spot! The standard guest rooms are very spacious, but the balcony adds a special touch. We also had the bridal party hair/make-up at the suite, so the bridesmaids could sit outside and enjoy the weather between being pampered.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding reception at the Renaissance. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the stunning view from the ballroom is one of the reasons we chose the Renaissance. Allison, and the rest of the staff, were amazing to work with. Allison was attentive to detail, responsive, and truly a joy to work with. The staff went out of their way throughout the planning process to ensure that every visit and meeting went smoothly. We received so many compliments from guests on the food and how beautiful the ballroom looked the day of our wedding. We can honestly say everything was perfect!

Can't say enough about the team at the Renaissance! We planned our wedding from out of town so we only had a few meetings with the team, but a ton of scatter-brain requests. They took all of our ideas and made it a reality. OUr guests even commented how well they were treated throughout their stay. Allison, Lisa, Tony, and Brendan were enthusiastic about our day and made it seem like we were their number one priority (when actually they had 2 other events going on the same day). It was truly amazing! We had our reception here, and even though there were 2 ceremonies happening in the lobby prior to our event, our guests didn't see anything out of the ordinary because they were able to turn over the space so quickly. I can't say enough about the team here!

Our wedding last weekend was amazing to say the least. The food was amazing, the setting romantic, and the views stunning. The woman we started working with left suddenly and Camilla and Brendan took care of us smoothly. Camilla is so personable, thorough, and always quick to respond. It was great to have her experience and support. Brendan did a great job of making the day run smoothly and calm me down before hoping in the elevator to walk down the aisle. I am also gluten free and he made sure to accommodate my needs thought the planning process. I would highly recommend having a wedding at the Renaissance, it will forever be one of my favorite places. Camilla and Brendan will take excellent care of you.

I had always known a wedding reception at the Renaissance would be beautiful and we were very lucky to have ours there. Brittany, our wedding planner, was so sweet and very helpful when it comes to answering questions quickly and helping choose linens etc. Brandon who takes care of the food is very knowledgeable and friendly as well. Those two made sure we had an awesome night! Everyone raved about how great the food tasted and how beautiful everything looked. This hotel is perfect for a classic, fun style wedding! We had 120 guests. The hotel rooms were awesome for all of our out of town guests and made it convenient for a Pirates game the day after the wedding as well. We also held a brunch there on Sunday morning and again food was awesome! The cost of weddings these days is very high but you can get everything you ever dreamed of in one place at the Renaissance and most of it is included! The view is nice, the hotel is beautiful, the staff is the best!, and a suite for the wedding night with great views can't be beat.

The Renaissance was the perfect venue for our wedding in October. It's absolutely beautiful, the views are breathless, the food is delicious, and the staff is extremely helpful. Christine and her staff made us feel comfortable in knowing that everything would be taken care of, and that was definitely the case! Everything went perfect on our wedding day. I highly recommend the Renaissance Pittsburgh for a wedding in Pittsburgh.

I have to give a shout out to Tanya Kessel the event coordinator. She really does work magic. I booked a block of rooms over a holiday weekend with a Steelers game on that Sunday and she didn't bat an eye. She easily met the price of a competitor without blinking. The night before the wedding, my best friends and I checked in and had a huge room that was perfect for getting ready the following morning with our hair dresser. Room 617 was perfect! The only thing we complained about was the bathroom door didn't work too well (at least we're best friends) and the lack of lights in the room when it came time to getting our hair done. The day of the wedding, we had great room service and many congrats as we walked to the transportation I booked for the bridal party. When we returned, my husband and I checked into the most perfect room on the 12th floor (a private floor). We had 2 walls of windows with sweeping views of the rivers and the stadiums. Our bathroom was spacious too. Tanya surprised us with a bottle of chilled bubbly and chocolate covered strawberries! Nothing could have made this night more special. Thank you so much to the entire staff. We will definitely be back!

We hosted our wedding reception at the Renaissance, and it was absolutely perfect. The hotel and ballroom are both just stunning. The amazing service and attention we received throughout our planning process made us feel so special. I couldn't imagine celebrating my wedding day anywhere else. Such a perfect evening! I can't say enough positive things about this place..

I had wanted to have my wedding in the Renaissance for as long as I can remember, and the venue did not disappoint. Christine and her staff handled every detail perfectly and the room coordinator Gary Lee went above and beyond to make sure our out-of-town friends and family were taken care of. We had a lot of specific and unique requests and they were all handled perfectly. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the views from the ballroom window (even better if you manage to book your wedding during baseball season on a game night!). But mostly they could not stop raving about the food. We expected the food to be be good, but we truly did not expect it to be as above and beyond as it was. In addition to a flank steak with whiskey demi-glaze and a miso-glazed salmon with papaya salsa, Chef B. worked with us to customize a vegetarian entree and to create both Pittsburgh-style sandwiches for late night and three custom pierogie (blue cheese mashed potato stuffed, sweet potato and pecan stuffed and cheddar chive mashed potato stuffed). The food was amazing and a highlight. One piece of advice for brides considering getting married in the main lobby - embrace that it's a public venue! Because it is :) We loved the extra energy and love coming from random guests and bar visitors watching our wedding ceremony - but if you want a more private feel there's pretty much no way you will accomplish that there. But it is a beautiful and stunning place to wed and we'll feel emotional every time we stand on the landing! This is also an ideal location if you have a lot of out-of-town guests. We had about 80 guests staying in the hotel with us and they all were able to spend the day before the wedding enjoying Pittsburgh because there is so much walkable (North Shore, Cultural District, Market Square and even the Strip District) from that location. If you have a large out of town contingent and want to ensure they have things to do that are easy to get to, this is the venue for you. We really can't say enough. For a Pittsburgh wedding that shows off the city, keeps your guests comfortable and feeds them well - you can't miss.

Every single person we encountered while working with the Renaissance from booking until the time we checked out on Monday after the wedding was wonderful. Everyone was willing to help and assist with anything I asked and answered any questions I ever had. There were a few who stood out because they went above and beyond what was asked of them. Christine Zimmick made the entire planning process stress-free! She remembered all of the details I ever mentioned to her and made sure that everything was exactly perfect! Christine took my many different pictures and ideas and brought them to light. Her attention to detail and efficiency made me always feel like her only bride. Looking back, I didn't worry about a single thing working with her! Dante DeRienzo also was an incredible member of the Renaissance staff to work with. He made sure the evening ran perfectly smooth. When he saw I was grimacing as I walked during the reception, he offered to go get my more comfortable shoes for me and made sure that none of my bridesmaids had to leave the party. He made sure my (now) husband and I were never without a drink in our hand. He also made sure we ate our dinner so we could dance the night away! Gary Lee also made the room accommodations simple! We had the majority of our wedding traveling from out of town and he made it easy for all of them to book and make changes when need be! We literally have no negative feedback to pass, because their staff thought of every possible detail. No stone was left un-turned--and this is coming from a teacher and a military officer who run a very tight household :) In general, we couldn't have been happier with our experience at the Renaissance. Everyone hunting for a wedding venue should look into booking at the Renaissance Pittsburgh!

The Renaissance in Pittsburgh was a dream come true. The hotel was gorgeous for our vintage style wedding (plus the view of the city is spectacular). We were married on the grand staircase and continued on to the Grand Ball room for our reception! Christine Zimmick and her staff are the most amazing, nicest, professional and efficient team I have ever met. Everything went smoothly from start to finish and Christine was willing to help me every step of the way. My girls and I were WELL taken care of the day of the wedding and I did not have to worry about one thing! Gary Lee was the head of our room block and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us and our guests find rooms and were given the proper attention they deserved. I would HIGHLY recommend the Renaissance Hotel for your wedding!!

I booked the Renaissance in May 2012 when Tony Lee was the wedding coordinator. The hotel is gorgeous and I was looking for a downtown location and an all inclusive reception location with a competent on site coordinator since I live out of town. Tony Lee seemed great until I received an email that he was leaving the Renaissance. The transition was not as smooth as it could have been and involved many unanswered emails, but his replacement Christine Zimmick is incredible. I met her a little over a month before my wedding and she was so enthusiastic and full of good ideas! She even moved color coordinated couches and benches from various parts of the hotel to give me the lounge I wanted. From the moment it stepped into the hotel the Friday night before my wedding everyone was so attentive, from the upgrade to a suite for 2 days, to the plates of chocolate and bottles of wine and champagne to the bouquets in the room. And on my wedding day they took care of every detail so that the night went so smoothly. The room looked even better than I imagined, the service was impeccable, the attention to details amazing. We received so many compliments on the room and the amazing reception. The view from the room is also beautiful. I highly highly recommend the renaissance for an amazing wedding reception!

When I first planning my wedding at Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel Tony was working for them. Well about 4 months before the wedding Tony quit and my now husband and I were worried. Christine was perfect, so helpful, and made my wedding day so perfect. I love the view from our reception room, honeymoon suite, and the area for the bridal party.

It has always been my dream to get ready at the Renaissance the day of my wedding. Since we were having our ceremony at Heinz Hall, that meant this was the perfect place to book a bridal suite and then have the bridal party walk just a block. This was the big splurge for my wedding. I booked the small patio suite on the 14th floor. This was the perfect setting for all of my bridesmaids and moms to get ready and have lovely pictures taken in the process. But here was the REALLY cool thing: they said it was a patio suite. No no. It didn't have a patio, it had a HUGE TERRACE!!! I really thought the patio would be a tiny balcony; the terrace was bigger than each of the rooms of the suite! Amazing views of the city. What memories. This was an amazing experience, and the terrace was an amazing place to take pictures with my photographer. This place is just first class. They bell boys helped me so much (and I had a lot of stuff with me!) and delivered a fridge right up to my room so that I could chill champagne for the next morning. Totally worth it.

The planning of our event was excellen, thanks Tony!! There were some small glitches as the start of our event, but everything ended up being perfect. Thanks Dante!!

My husband and our families could not be happier with our wedding at the Renaissance. From the day of our tour until our wedding day the Renaissance helped us with every step of the way of planning our special day. Not only is the venue absolutely breathtakingly beautiful, but the food and service is just as beautiful. While my husband and I were reflecting on our wedding day we could not think of one thing we would have changed at the Renaissance. Every last detail was done to perfection. I am confident that if you choose to have your wedding at the Renaissance your wedding will be a dream come true like ours was. We recently hosted my daughter's wedding at the Renaissance. I can't say enough about them. Their attention to service and detail are unmatched. We worked with Greg Sgro who was attentive to our every wish and is one of the best in his field! Dante, the captain for the event and Patti, the Bridal Butler couldn't have made it more perfect! The whole team at the Renaissance is so dedicated to service. My daughter and her husband felt as if they were royalty for the night! They were constantly checking with us to see if we needed anything. The food was unbelievable and our guests continue to comment on how it was the most fabulous wedding they have ever attended! Thank you Renaissance for helping us give our daughter the wedding of her dreams!

The staff, ambiance and food make this the best place in the city to have your reception. I cannot say enough about how perfect our entire reception was and we are forever grateful to the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel for making it happen.

My daughter’s wedding reception was recently held at the Renaissance Hotel and it was a truly wonderful experience from the moment we booked the event to the time the festivities ended. We had the great fortune to work with Greg Sgro, Director of Catering and he did a masterful job of first helping us to envision what a wedding at the Renaissance would look like and then delivering on every promise. The venue itself is gorgeous and if you’ve not visited the hotel, I would highly recommend that you do so. Our reception was held on the second floor with hors d'oeuvres and drinks served on the wrap around mezzanine overlooking the hotel’s beautiful lobby. Dinner and dancing followed in the Symphony Ballroom with it’s windows offering views of the Allegheny River, the Roberto Clemente Bridge and PNC Park. Esthetically, I don’t think we could have asked for more. Perhaps even more impressive however, was the food and service. Both were incredible. I would never have believed that food cooked on such a large scale could be so uniformly excellent -- but it was. We received so many wonderful compliments throughout the evening and during the days that followed with many stating unequivocally that it was the nicest wedding reception they had ever attended. I really can’t say enough good things about our experience and if you are looking for a downtown Pittsburgh venue, I would highly recommend that you check out the Renaissance Hotel.

The hotel itself is beautiful, especially the lobby. Tony Lee and the rest of the staff is more than accomadating both before and during the event. The food is amazing, even with the large number of meals that are being served at the same time. I would recommend this venue to anyone in a heartbeat. The only problem is that the room only holds about 175 comfortably without putting anyone behind a pole, so that may be a problem for some. Awesome staff and building!

We had our wedding reception at the Renaissance Hotel. We saw many beautiful venues in Pittsburgh, but Tony Lee made our decision easy. He is very good at his job, and he made planning our wedding fun! Tony made us feel like we were his only client throughout the process. He added some really special touches to our wedding day, making it better than we could have imagined. The food was delicious, too. The catering staff was professional and friendly. We can't wait to go back to the Renaissance Hotel for our anniversary!

When I first walked into the Renaissance, I was greeted with by the stunning marble lobby and a picturesque staircase leading up to the second floor. I knew this was an ideal location for a wedding reception. However, it was not until I met the staff that the Renaissance Hotel Pittsburgh became the location of OUR wedding reception. They had me at hello :). Throughout the process, we had great communication with our coordinator, Tony Lee. He provided wonderful service and tended to our every worry. He was organized and detail oriented. When it came time for the special day, it went off without a hitch. He and his team worked behind the scenes to make sure everything went well. Our guests were so happy with the service. In addition, everyone talked about the meal for days to come! The food was fresh, hot, and prepared perfectly. My husband and I truly felt like royalty throughout the whole evening.

Our wedding reception was everything we dreamed of and more! The hotel itself is stunning--all of our guests were so impressed. The entire staff at the hotel is incredible and the service is outstanding. The wedding coordinator at the Renaissance is an expert and he went above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I had the perfect day. He confirmed all details with all of my vendors in the days leading up to the wedding. He worked with us to help us get everything we wanted, and he made helpful suggestions when we were unsure or overwhelmed. He definitely knows what he is doing and it really makes a difference! I wasn't stressed at all. The only negative is that the room is a bit small if you are looking to have a wedding closer to the 200 guest count. We only had 130 guests, so it was perfect! Our guests continue to talk about the wedding and how wonderful everything was. I would suggest this venue to anyone!

My husband and our families could not have been more pleased with the services provided by the Renaissance Hotel staff. We started planning our event with Greg Sgro, who sold us on the beautiful hotel and their wonderful services, and we made a completely smooth transition to working with Tony Lee, who was fantastic. We, and our guests, were very impressed by the beautiful environment the hotel provided, as well as the amazing food, and their ability to handle so much of the coordination for us. I would very highly recommend!

Our wedding was a transition for the Renaissance but they handled it well. We were nervous when we heard that our wedding planner had resigned only a month after we booked with them. At our initial meeting with the new one we realized much of what was originally promised us wasn't in writing. However, the hotel staff accomodated us on everything! In the end we got our original coordinator back which we were thrilled about, he is a pro! (Not that the replacement wasn't also) The two wedding coordinators thing caused a couple of bumps but it all worked out very well in the end. The price is worth the reassurance you get. On Wednesday before my wedding I handed everything off to the coordinator and I was able to relax. The staff at the hotel from the valets, the bellmen, the server at breakfast, and everyone on up took care of me and my guests like we were royalty. Everyone at the venue goes above and beyond what is needed. We had a great time and our guests tell us it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Everything promised to us during the original booking of our wedding was given to us/ taken care of. The benefits of having a reception at this hotel are endless. The team surrounding us at our wedding was priceless. These people are true professionals and truly care about the couple and their guests. Everyone at the hotel had our best interest in mind and strived for perfection. Every request no matter how small or large was well taken care of.

the hotel is beautiful with great areas for pictures the food was very good the staff professional and the rooms for the guests were amazing... all in all a perfect site;the only thing we were worried about was the planning leading up to the wedding. The event coordinator there can be a bit difficult to deal with but he truly came through when it actually mattered. He did a fantastic job and every detail was perfect. He even threw in some free upgrades that we didn't expect but definitely enjoyed. We couldn't image our wedding being any better!

the location of the renaissance is great - located in the center of Pittsburgh across the bridge from PNC park! Spectacular pictures.;Definitely need to watch the staff - lots of overpromising and doesn't exactly deliver what they say...so much so that I hired a wedding coordinator for an additional $5 500 to keep an eye on everything - expensive thing to do 5 weeks before my wedding but I was very pleased I did!

The cocktail area was beautiful as well as the reception room and view from the room. The wait staff was superior. The food was impeccable. Everything was perfect...what more can I say?
